Survey #389
“i’m well aware i’m a danger to myself  /  are you aware i’m a danger to others?”
How much do you weigh? Yeah, we're starting off on a bad foot. If you are outside, what are you most likely doing? Putting Roman's used litter in the trash. Do you think you can love someone without trusting them? Hm... I guess you could love them, but it'd be a complicated situation. What’s your opinion on people who go hunting for sport? If it's purely for sport, from the very bottom of my heart, fuck you. Do you have a fairly fast or slow internet connection? I'd say it's decently fast. Have you ever been someplace tropical? Yeah, Florida. My grandma lived there. Are you sensitive to caffeine? No. It does like... nothing to me. How do you usually get around? My mom's car. Have you ever been accused of being too clingy? No actually, but I know I kinda am. What do you think about Kim Kardashian? I don't have an opinion of her. Can you speak any French? No. Favorite yogurt flavor? The only yogurt I've been liking lately is cookies and cream to add a different texture, because otherwise, I don't like its natural texture very much??? Idk man, my taste buds are wild. How much money do you have in your wallet right now? Just like $5. What bottled water brand do you like? Essentia. Your favorite way to eat chocolate? As chocolate bars, probably. How often do you listen to country music? Like, never. Linkin Park or Avenged Sevenfold? Linkin Park. Last surgery you had? Pilonidal cyst removal. Have you ever played guitar? I briefly took classes for it in high school, yes. Best I got to was playing some of the intro to "Crazy Train." I enjoyed it, but not enough to be consistent and really learn. Is there someone in your life whose career/life choices you find immoral/unethical? Have you ever told that person your views? Do you find it difficult to support them (emotionally or otherwise) because of their choices? I don't think so? What trait do you feel you lack that you wish you possessed? Independence and confidence would be nice... Have you ever considered writing your memoirs? No. Do you find it difficult to stay invested in online relationships? God no. I love my online friends. Half of 'em more than "irl" ones. Are you the type of person who pays close attention to the release dates of movies, music, etc., and will, for example, go see a movie or buy an album on the date it is released? If so, when is the last time you did so? I have to be VERY invested in it to care THAT much. It happened most recently when Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty premiered. Do you have any stickers on your laptop? No. Would you rather have a job for which you had to go in early in the morning or one you had to stay late into the evening at? Early in the morning. I'm in a better mood in the morning. Do you use any apps to track your health or medications? I have a calorie-counting app, as well as one to track my period. Whose opinions/recommendations do you value most? My mom's, best friend's, and psychiatrist's. If you could’ve been at any historical event, which would you have liked to witness firsthand? I don't really know. Maybe the very first Pride event? Is there something that you really want to do but are afraid of doing? If so, why are you afraid of doing it? Ride a rollercoaster, for one. I know I never will, though. I'm too afraid of throwing up, but even more realistically, I fear passing out before of the twisting and turning and just standing up makes me very dizzy. My blood pressure is STUPID low. What is something society “expects” you to do that you don’t want to do and/or don’t plan on doing? Have kids. That's a big 'ole fat no from me. Have Jehovah's Witnesses ever come to your door? Twice at least. Are you well-known by people in your area? No. Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? No, thank Christ. It sounds terrifying. What's your favourite type of bird? Barn owls. Melanistic ones, to be exact. Stunning. What tv show(s) have you been watching currently? I'm only keeping up with Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty. Have you ever dated a smoker? For less than a day. Do you share a middle name with any of your siblings? Yes. Have you ever been a member in a band? No. Besides the school band. Can you cry on command? If so, have you ever used it to your advantage? No. Do you have separate emails for personal and business? No. Have you ever missed a flight? Yes. Have you ever seen a lunar eclipse? Multiple times. Have you ever taken a ride in a convertible? I think once with my brother. Why did you last need to use a band-aid? I'unno. What fruit do you eat most often? Apples. Who was the last person you visited in the hospital? My ma. Has someone ever tried to start an argument with you over Facebook? What happened? A few times. I don't feel like thinking over this. Have you ever had an unusual type of milk (eg. oat, rice, almond)? I've tried almond milk, and I hated it. If you could experience life as a Disney princess for a week, which princess would you pick and why? uhhhhhh idk When you’re at home, do you spend most of your time in your room? I'm essentially always in my room. If you like to sleep in late, have your parents ever told you off for doing so? No. Do you find piercings attractive? Yep. Do you like potato chips? Loooove 'em. What’s the most stalker-like/creepy thing you’ve ever done? If you don’t think you’ve done anything like that, what’s the most stalker-like thing someone’s done to you? Nothing beyond checking Jason's Facebook sometimes after the breakup, I think. Even that though I wouldn't recommend doing. You're just going to get yourself hurt. Stay away from exes' profiles. Do you think it’s a double standard that a woman can hit a man and expect to get away with it, but if a man hits a woman it’s assault? Yep. I don't give a fuck what's in your pants, you don't hit anybody unless you're fighting to defend yourself. What’s your favorite old Disney movie and favorite new Disney movie? I mean... define "old." I'll go with The Lion King for old, and for new, uh... Finding Dory, probs. Name something “trendy” or popular that you dislike. I don't really know what IS trendy right now... Is Snapchat still "in?" Because I've never gotten that. “Dirty talk” in the bedroom…love it, like it, don’t care, dislike it, or hate it? I think I'm kinda neutral about it? Like I mean it also depends on exactly what is said. I prefer more loving talk, though. What is/are your favorite type(s) of ethnic food, and what’s your favorite food within that type? I'm a basic fatass that likes American cuisine most, aha... Like give me a cheeseburger and I'm happy lmao. How would you describe your relationship with your hair over the years? I love it more now at a short length than I ever did long. When it was long and I was in my deepest depression, I was awful about brushing it. It would get so knotted. Like looking back, it nearly makes me shiver. I HIGHLY recommend cutting your hair for anyone who struggles with selfcare. How do you feel about your SO daily/regularly checking up on a couple of his exes on social media? I'm single, but hypothetically, if you're checking an ex's page nearly every day, I would not be okay with that. I'm totally fine with exes remaining friends and just cordially talking now and again, but that's it. It's a respect thing. Do you prefer your guy to wear cologne or not? I personally like cologne if it's not overwhelming. I really don't care if you wear it or not, though. Ladies, how important is it to you that your SO wears/would wear a wedding ring? This survey is so heteronormative. But anyway, unless there was an issue like it not fitting, I'd want my spouse to wear their ring. What was the turning point that led you to decide for or against having children? There are a lot of reasons I don't want kids. I'm too selfish with my "me" time, I stress out too easily, I don't want to dedicate my life to keeping another person alive and fed and happy, I have bad genes... I could go on and on. I just wouldn't be a good, "present" enough mom. I am much more interested in ensuring *I* am okay. Is having your “dream” wedding really that important to have? Not at all. I mean I want a smooth and memorable wedding, but I'm not obsessed with it being perfect. Do you consider it cheating if your SO goes to a strip club and then doesn’t tell you? That's certainly not cheating, but I wouldn't like it. Being secretive about anything in a relationship is unhealthy, imo. I'd be hurt and also very insecure because I wouldn't feel like "enough." How old is too old for trick-or-treating? Honestly? I don't think you ever are. Like come on, does it REALLY matter? Let people have fun. I don't do it because of societal standards, but I would if I didn't care about being judged. Do you sleep with your arms over or under the covers? It depends on the temperature, but I normally wake up with them under. Do you own any t-shirts of your favorite band? I have an Ozzy one stored somewhere, but it doesn't fit me now. There was another I really liked too, but that one is WAY too small now. Fries or onion rings? Fries. I'm not a fan of onion rings. True/False: you’ve had an odd dream this week. Story of my life. I had one last night where I kept dying in different ways, and I actually felt the pain, like drowning in magma. Do you find tattoo sleeves attractive? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Do you like carving pumpkins? Yeah. What’s an animal you want to have as a pet but can’t? My mom has absolutely forbidden me to get a tarantula (uh, many tarantulas in my case) until I move out, lol. That doesn't stop me from checking Craigslist like every day. ;_; Have your parents ever caught you drinking? "Caught," no. Any time I've drunk, I've had permission or was a legal adult by then. How would you react if your celebrity crush came to your door? First be humiliated at my appearance and then absolutely pass out lmao. Has your mom/dad ever walked in on you kissing or anything more with someone? No, thank fuck. The person you have a crush on is drunk and goes to kiss you, you know they don’t realize what they’re doing, but do you kiss anyways? If I know it's something they wouldn't do sober, absolutely not. What would you prefer to get from a guy/girl: flowers, a hand written poem, a picture he drew of you or a nice night out? Any would be lovely, but the poem would appeal most to me because of the amount of thought that goes into poetry. Do you any shirts with any kind of images of food on them? What? I don't think so, no. Which holiday is the most fun to decorate for? Halloween. What was the first website you had an email account on? Yahoo. Have you ever written a fanfic? No. Tattoos or piercings? Both are grand, but tats win. What’s the last gross movie/show/video you saw? I saw this picture of a snake split open that had eaten another snake. Would you rather live in a huuuge house or a little cozy one? Lil cozy one! I don't want more space than is needed for cleaning reasons, as well as price. Do you have a tutor for anything? No. Who’s the best kisser you know? Jason was. Has anyone ever threatened you with a knife? No. I'd like it to stay that way. (If you’re a girl) Has anyone ever called you "shortie" instead of girl? Ew, no. Do you have a deep voice? For a woman, yes. Do you play games with boys/girls, like 'hard to get’? Hi, I'm an adult. Is there a Sonic where you live? YES. It's my fave fast-food place. What do you like on your pizza? I have three go-tos depending on my mood: Pepperoni, jalapenos, or meat lovers.

Is Britney Sophis Neveu from Da Vinci Code ?
Friday July 16th 7.16.2021 16.7.2021 197th day / 168 days remain Waxing Crescent Moon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A supporter of #FreeBritney or not, her story is bigger than you might think and is connected with Aaliyah. I know it sounds like a reach and no one else will ever tell you the truth, but notice recent years "NEW" normal. And Themes of freedom tie in with the truth of being Free. Read previous articles to get the foundation.
Watch Da Vinci Code film which boils down to the CRYPT of Mary Magdalene in France. Keep in mind, France is home of Statues of Liberties. IN the film, a coded Cryptex with Sub Rosa, Under/Below the Rose and Rose Line---Roslyn. Rose Line and Rosslyn Chapel Castle
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rose Line is a fictional name given to the Paris Meridian and to the sunlight line defining the exact time of Easter on the Gnomon of Saint-Sulpice, marked by a brass strip on the floor of the church, where the two are conflated, by Dan Brown in his 2003 novel The Da Vinci Code. Brown based this on material found in the Priory of Sion documents of the 1960s, where neither the Zero Meridian nor the sunlight line in St Sulpice are called Rose Line.
Britney's mother is named LYNNe Spears.
Her sister Jamie LYNNe Spears just left a Cryptic message on social media. She quotes Christopher Reeves and stands between doors with no pants on.
Tumblr media
Sophie means Wisdom, Neveu derives from the word New. So the new wisdom. According to the Film, in 2000, the royal blood line of Jesus' descendants were supposed to be revealed to the world.
Britney was silenced to the truth and made mad/crazy because she knew the truth of what happened to Aaliyah. She left clues. The same year she cut her hair off. Another person who leaves a lot of clues is Kanye West, who was also pegged as crazy and lost his freedom to his own property and personal humanity. They put him on a 5150 psychiatric hold in 2016. His wife Kim Kardashian West authorized this. Another person pegged as a Drug addict, DMX, also has the truth, but was silenced.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like PS, Princess Sophie Neveu's fake grandfather was murdered by Silas, I think we should look out for Britney's "fake father" he was also born on July 6th, a birthdate we have been looking at. July 18th will have news that will lead to many things, for it's 911 in another calendar. AV(11) Tish(9)

Page 2: Kanye West is in top-secret talks to launch his own TV network and is crowing it will be bigger than the Kardashians -- he wants it to reflect his lofty vision of what the world should be and to provide a spiritual awakening for the masses but he doesn’t realize there aren’t a lot of people who want to spend hours a day listening to him rant about how the world would be a better place if he was in charge -- meanwhile Kim Kardashian is at the end of her rope again
Page 3: Furious Angelina Jolie is tearing into Brad Pitt’s new girlfriend Nicole Poturalski blasting her as a scheming psycho and as a borderline stalker who is dating Brad just to get famous and it’s going to end in disaster for the whole family not just him so she’s already told Brad to keep Nicole away from their kids and she’s looking to make this part of their ongoing legal case

Page 7: Cher keeps trying to turn back time with plastic surgery but the results have been disastrous and although she insists her most recent work is a facelift her kisser is frozen and packed with Botox and fillers and lip injections -- she also appears to have had a nose job and a face and neck lift to achieve a smooth jawline and neck and the results have left Cher barely able to move her face and even made it difficult for her to speak let alone sing, disgraced chef Paula Deen had emergency eye surgery this summer in a desperate bid to save her sight -- Paula had been suffering from declining vision for months and was shocked when doctors told her the cornea was dying and going under the knife was necessary to save her sight

Page 34: Comic Kathy Griffin has seen her popularity plummet in recent years and it’s played a role in her plans to sell her sprawling Bel Air estate -- Kathy has burned a lot of bridges and concerts and TV appearances have dried up because of her many industry conflicts so she’s trying to unload her massive manor with wine cellar and movie theater and eight bedrooms for $16 million -- she didn’t want to sell it but the cost and size have become too much for her to handle
Page 36: Health Watch
Page 38: CIA bigwigs once hired a psychic to determine if there was life on Mars -- the misguided mission was said to be part of Project Stargate which was launched in 1978 and somehow cost an astronomical $20 million after the CIA hired a man who claimed he could see the surface of the planet in his mind -- the unnamed man claimed he could see huge pyramids and an obelisk structure and road networks on the Red Planet as well as living creatures, John Lennon’s killer Mark David Chapman shocked the parole board when he admitted he deserved the death penalty even as he begged for his freedom at his last hearing -- his murderous motive was seeking self-glory -- the board denied his parole saying they found his statement infamy brings you glory disturbing

How Boosted went bust – The Verge
Kanye desired a conference.
That was essentially all a little group of staff members at Boosted understood in early 2019 after they heard the rapper-mogul had taken an interest in the business’s electrical skateboards.
A collaboration, a financial investment, a recommendation — whatever he was thinking about, a conference with Kanye West appeared unreasonable. But however, Boosted was likewise dealing with a secret task with skateboard legend Tony Hawk at the time. Was it truly a stretch to believe the start-up could deal with Yeezy?
Apparently. Kanye invested the conference — 2, in truth, throughout 2019 — focused more on his eventually doomed vision for sustainable cities than he did going over a concrete handle Boosted, 2 previous staff members inform The Verge. (Kanye might not be grabbed remark.)
Boosted’s carcass is still drawing buzzards
At the time of the Kanye conferences, Boosted had actually outgrown its Kickstarter roots, and had actually specified the marketplace for electrical longboards — which had actually become part of a rideables trend in the mid-2010s. The brand name was powerful, however the start-up was losing focus. It wasn’t simply Kanye’s off-topic conferences, though some staff members felt they were symbolic. Boosted was simply spread out too thin. It had actually released half a lots designs — each with various setups — in simply 6 years, on a small spending plan. Then it was struck hard by the Trump administration’s tariffs on products made in China, and a postponed electrical scooter, and ultimately lacked cash.
Tumblr media

But while Boosted is dead, the cherished electrical skateboard start-up’s carcass is still drawing buzzards. Its most significant financier, the eponymous endeavor company established by surfer-fighting billionaire Vinod Khosla, has actually invested the in 2015 waging a set of claims versus Lime in an effort to reverse the scooter-sharing giant’s purchase of Boosted’s copyright.
Khosla Ventures’ legal representatives state Lime undermined a possible bailout of Boosted from Yamaha in late 2019 and conspired with Boosted’s most significant financial obligation loan provider to rig the sale of the start-up’s stays a couple of months later on. Lime’s group has actually argued the powerhouse company is just raw about a “failed business negotiation” that eventually couldn’t conserve a “dying business.”
The battle most likely won’t end for months. (A trial is tentatively set up for May 2022.) But interviews with 6 previous Boosted staff members, along with an assessment of the claims, aid expose in the best information yet simply how the category-defining electrical skateboard start-up broke down, and why relatively absolutely nothing — not a collaboration with Tony Hawk, the consistent assistance of among YouTube’s most significant stars, or perhaps Kanye West — might wait.
Things weren’t constantly so alarming at Boosted. The start-up was among Kickstarter’s earliest success stories after it transitioned out of a Stanford incubator in 2012. A couple of years later on, Boosted’s electrical longboard ended up being the go-to lorry for YouTube star Casey Neistat. It looked like in every vlog he published, there was Boosted’s board: hanging behind him on the wall of his studio, or under his feet as he sculpted through Manhattan traffic.
Neistat made Boosted so popular that it was difficult for the start-up to stay up to date with the orders that were gathering. And co-founder Sanjay Dastoor achieved cult status amongst the start-up’s consumers — not even if of the quality and appeal of the item, however since he was so hands-on that in 2016 he flew throughout the nation to a board owner’s home to detect a battery failure.
Boosted was a Kickstarter success, however it truly exploded, thanks to Casey Neistat
But Dastoor turned over the business to Jeff Russakow in 2017, a fellow Stanford graduate. With that altering of the guard came brand-new, much larger objectives. “The company is just doing splendiferously well, and we’re looking forward to an exciting roadmap of many new form factors of light vehicles and other cool stuff,” he stated at the time. Russakow informed The Verge he wished to “be able to move faster on innovation,” and do “two major product releases of some cool exciting announcement” each year — “an Apple-like cadence,” he stated.

Boosted rode this momentum for a while, and in early 2018 released a second-generation board, together with a small board and a high-performance variation called “Stealth” that ultimately became its most significant hit. The start-up then raised almost $80 million by the end of 2018 from Khosla Ventures and others. In 2019 Russakow explained that financing round to The Verge as having lots of “really supportive investors” who are “absolutely committed to the vision of the company.” He utilized the cash to take Boosted worldwide, broadening the brand name into more than 30 nations.
Boosted even began dealing with Birdhouse, the business run by maybe the most popular skateboarder on earth, Tony Hawk. The start-up likewise talked about making a board for kids and tapped another professional skater, Andy Macdonald, to deal with the task. Boosted’s electrical longboards had actually never ever truly been a natural fit with skateboard culture, so recognition from 2 of the sport’s icons felt, to a few of the staff members, like acknowledgment of what they (and consumers) currently understood: that Boosted’s boards kicked ass.
New CEO Jeff Russakow took Boosted worldwide — however that needed more cash
By 2019, Russakow’s efforts to grow the business seemed working, too. It even drew interest from premium bike business Specialized, 2 of the previous staff members inform The Verge.
But Boosted required more cash. The development was consuming a great deal of the income the business was creating in those brand-new markets, and even cut into the cash it had actually raised. Making matters even worse, the business took a struck when then-President Donald Trump began a trade war with China. Boosted had actually contracted out making to China beginning in 2016, and while Russakow informed The Verge in May 2019 that the start-up had “the financial ability” to “eat” the tariff on the skateboards, it ends up that was much easier stated than done. (Boosted ultimately looked for, and was approved, exemptions from the tariffs, however refunds for them were still exceptional when the start-up went under.)
The pressure of keeping this speed of development — which was originating from Russakow however likewise from Khosla Ventures, the previous staff members state — had Boosted running rough. What specifically tripped things up, however, was the Boosted Rev: the start-up’s super-rugged, $1,600 electrical scooter that debuted in early 2019.
Boosted revealed the scooter simply as its checking account began suffering, and practically right away needed to postpone the rollout (in part since of a concern with the lock implied to keep it folded, however likewise since scaling up production was challenging). Khosla Ventures and Boosted’s other backers had actually simply put cash into the business — they didn’t wish to include much more. So in May 2019, Boosted silently relied on a “venture debt” company called Structural Capital for what it hoped would be short-term aid. The offer’s terms weren’t precisely beneficial to Boosted: it needed to utilize all its properties as security for an $18.5 million loan. Plus, if Boosted missed out on particular payments, Structural Capital might take control of parts of business.
Boosted invested the majority of that loan in simply a couple of months. So Boosted’s executives discovered themselves when again searching for cash, simply as the summer season, their greatest sales duration, was ending. In the meantime, Boosted began to postpone payments to some suppliers and started thinking about layoffs as early as September.
A desperate handle a “venture debt” company in 2019 showed harmful
Khosla Ventures and another financier, Activate Capital Partners, made a little loan in October to assist keep the lights on while Boosted searched for an escape, court files reveal. But it wasn’t enough to stop Structural Capital from taking control of the business’s bag strings. Now every cost needed to be run by the endeavor financial obligation company.
Employees rapidly began to question just how much longer Boosted had. The business no longer had access to its stock, it stopped investing in marketing, and it definitely had no cash to make any brand-new items. Two previous staff members stated they went on Thanksgiving break not understanding if there would be a business to return to. That sensation of fear didn’t raise when they returned, however.
“We got stuck in this weird limbo land,” one previous worker states. Some staff members united to determine what other sacrifices might be made to conserve cash, like eliminating totally free treats and lunches (which Boosted ultimately did) or quiting their company-subsidized Caltrain passes.
“We got stuck in this weird limbo land.”
“The people at Boosted were great,” this individual states. “Everyone felt very loyal to John [Ulmen, Dastoor’s co-founder, who remained with Boosted until the end] and wanted to stick it out. There was a lot of untapped potential with the brand. Everyone hung on longer than you’d expect because of that.”
At one point in mid December, one group inside Boosted was improperly informed by their supervisor that everybody would be laid off the following early morning. “Everyone panics. Rumors start flying. People are making sure they have their stuff backed up,” states the previous worker. But when Russakow called the business together that following day, he knocked the concept down.
By that point, word had actually navigated that something was happening with Lime, however a lot of staff members didn’t understand what. The confusion increase when staff members began taking tasks at Lime.
“We would expect to get let go every Friday,” the previous worker stated. “Then paychecks would come through and people would be surprised.”
In the days prior to Christmas 2019, Boosted’s executives hunkered at their workplace attempting to craft an escape of a little mountain of financial obligation — who to fire and what to restore to keep the business alive. Suddenly, Russakow and his group got news that looked like a Christmas wonder: Japanese giant Yamaha had an interest in purchasing them.
Those executives had actually currently invested the majority of December hammering out an offer with Lime that would enable the scooter-sharing giant to employ away a little group of core Boosted staff members and certify a few of the copyright around their brand-new scooter in exchange for $30 million worth of stock.
A Yamaha acquisition would have been transformational
That offer wouldn’t conserve the whole business, however, and it wasn’t done. A Yamaha acquisition, on the other hand, would have been transformational. It might have upheld Russakow’s efforts to grow the start-up and broaden into brand-new markets — relocations supported by Khosla Ventures, which was searching for huge returns on its financial investment, the previous staff members informed The Verge.
A Yamaha offer might have assisted Boosted diversify into brand-new classifications while shipping items it had waiting in the wings, like an electrical bike and brand-new variations of its electrical skateboards. But Yamaha eventually got cold feet.
The stopped working Yamaha offer is at the center of Khosla Ventures’ claims, among which was formerly reported by The Information. (The Japanese corporation is never ever called in the claims, rather described as the “Manufacturer.”) Khosla Ventures unquestionably blames Lime for Yamaha backing out in the claims, which were just recently combined into one case in San Francisco Superior Court.
Lawyers for the endeavor company have actually argued that Lime poached Boosted staff members while settlements with Yamaha were continuous — consisting of the Boosted VP who was collaborating interviews with individuals Lime may employ as part of that offer. Khosla’s legal representatives likewise declare Lime collaborated with Structural Capital to freeze the start-up’s checking account and require it into dissolution — successfully avoiding the Yamaha offer.

Lime “acted with malice by intending to cause injury to Boosted’s economic relationship with [Yamaha],” legal representatives for Khosla Ventures argued at one point. “Defendants engaged in wrongful, intentional acts designed to disrupt [Khosla Ventures] and Boosted from consummating an alternative transaction.”
Khosla Ventures implicated Lime of undermining the Yamaha offer
This all totaled up to “sabotage,” Khosla Ventures declared in court. Boosted was losing essential staff member and access to money, eliminating the Yamaha offer.
Khosla Ventures declares there was another twist of the knife, too. Just prior to this all presumably played out in January 2020, Lime had actually returned to Boosted with a modified deal: $15 million in business stock and more Boosted staff members in exchange for the scooter IP. Khosla’s group stated in court that this was more proof Lime depended on no great: it struck up settlements with Boosted under incorrect pretenses in order to take staff members and other nonpublic info from a start-up on the rocks.
Khosla Ventures and Structural Capital did not react to ask for remark. A Lime representative decreased to comment.
Khosla Ventures kept Boosted afloat through February with $2.4 million in swing loans, however eventually “decided not to fund Boosted any further” by the end of the month, according to among the filings. The start-up laid off most staff members quickly after.
In March 2020, Structural Capital relocated to foreclose on what was left of Boosted. The endeavor financial obligation company ended up in control of all of Boosted’s properties because the start-up had actually utilized them as security. Structural likewise deserved to liquidate those properties if Boosted breached any regards to the loan — something Khosla Ventures consented to when that offer took place, according to court files.
Structural established an auction for March 17th. It sent a notification previously in the month, which Khosla Ventures gotten. But one day prior to the sale took place, the San Francisco location got a shelter-in-place order, as an effort to include the spread of COVID-19. Khosla states it didn’t go to the sale in order to adhere to the general public health order.
Lime states there are “zero factual allegations” in Khosla Ventures’ claim
The auction proceeded anyhow. There, Structural purchased the rights to the tariff refund Boosted was waiting on from the federal government — a worth in excess of $5 million — for simply $400,000. Lime won all of Boosted’s IP and staying properties in exchange for 62 million shares of its stock. Khosla Ventures, Structural, and Lime were expected to divide the earnings of any sale. But Khosla Ventures states Structural established a brand-new LLC that purchased a few of the properties — a relocation developed to evade this contractually obligated continue split.
Lime resisted difficult versus the majority of Khosla’s claims. During a hearing in the San Francisco claim, among Lime’s legal representatives argued there was no arrangement that Lime wouldn’t get or employ staff members. He likewise stated there were “zero factual allegations” in Khosla’s problem to support the claim that Yamaha backed out since of Lime’s actions.
“Your Honor, I — this is, I think, a truly kind of… kind of a mind-bending, in some ways, complaint, because… [Khosla Ventures’] alleges that Boosted was gonna fire these employees; that Boosted was under financial distress; that it, you know, was defaulting under the loan security agreement; that there was gonna be this massive bloodletting,” Lime’s legal representative stated, according to a records of the hearing. And yet, he continued, Khosla was attempting to declare these staff members were still important which it held the right to take legal action versus Lime for employing them away. “It just simply doesn’t make any sense,” he stated.
“It is odd, I’ll give you that,” judge Ethan P. Schulman reacted. But, he stated, “odd things happen in the world and give rise to lawsuit[s].”
Before the sale, the other shoe had actually lastly dropped for staff members in early March, when the structure supervisor at Boosted’s San Francisco workplace was served an expulsion notification. The business’s management informed everybody to work from house, however simply a couple of days after that, they laid everybody off.
“We understand this news will come as a surprise to many of you, but unfortunately, developing, manufacturing, and maintaining electric vehicles is highly capital-intensive, and over the last year-and-a-half our business has faced an additional unplanned challenge with the high expense of the US-China tariff war,” Russakow and Ulmen composed on the business’s blog site. (Russakow and Ulmen did not react to demands to be spoken with for this story.)

Most of the staff members who talked to The Verge stated they didn’t think Boosted made apparent important mistakes. Even the scooter, some stated, might have succeeded — specifically if Boosted had actually endured through the very first couple of months of the pandemic, after which the sales of bikes and scooters escalated. Lasting up until the Paycheck Protection Program released in April of 2020 might have, at least, purchased a little bit more time.
Instead, a number of them just blame Khosla Ventures and acknowledge that Russakow’s aggressive item objectives were a reflection of the returns the huge company desired on its financial investment. It remained in pursuit of those objectives that Boosted overextended itself.
In the days and weeks after Boosted’s failure, a few of the start-up’s most devoted fans still held out hope that it might be reanimated. Every couple of days they would tweet at Casey Neistat, or Elon Musk, and plead for some sort of intervention — as if the best confront with the best cash would have the ability to untangle the legal knot connected around the remains of Boosted.
It’s difficult to blame them; after all, throughout its early years, Boosted defied expectations. It was an effective Kickstarter task that developed into an authentic business, and essentially assisted develop a totally brand-new classification of lorry along the method. But at its end, Boosted had actually progressed into something much more typical: yet another Silicon Valley start-up that had a hard time to satisfy enthusiastic objectives set by the individuals who end up running the program.

From campaign associates to members of his family -- and even possibly himself -- Trump could use his expansive pardon power to try to settle legal questions on his way out the door.
Current and former Trump administration officials say there's been minimal preparation for an expected onslaught of clemencies, as Trump is still pursuing dubious legal challenges to the election. But his Twitter feed over the past three years offers a working list of where the President might turn to wield his pardon power -- primarily toward those targeted by former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
Perhaps the biggest looming pardon question is whether Trump will consider granting himself a pardon, amid state investigations into his business and finances and the prospect of federal investigators scrutinizing him after he leaves office.
Trump has been asking aides since 2017 about whether he can self-pardon, former aides tell CNN. One former White House official said Trump asked about self-pardons as well as pardons for his family. Trump even asked if he could issue pardons pre-emptively for things people could be charged with in the future, the former official said.
"Once he learned about it, he was obsessed with the power of pardons," the official said. "I always thought he also liked it because it was a way to do a favor."
Trump's pardons, however, would only cover federal crimes, and would not protect him or others from ongoing investigations into the Trump Organization being led by the New York attorney general and the Manhattan district attorney.
Former aides to Trump are split on whether Trump would actually consider giving himself a pardon. Some see it as a near-certainty -- "Of course he will," the former official said -- while others believe it's unlikely, because doing so would imply he's guilty of something.
A highly personal process
To date, Trump's record on presidential pardons is -- like much of the rest of his presidency -- marked by personal connections, showmanship and an aversion to going through official government channels.
The Office of the Pardon Attorney, a Justice Department bureaucracy that is usually active in vetting clemency applications has been left out of Trump's highly personal process in deciding pardons, playing a role in only eight of the 27 pardons issued by Trump, according to a spokeswoman.
Instead, beneficiaries have won clemency by getting their requests to Trump through friends, Fox News personalities or Hollywood celebrities who talk to the president. That unusual pipeline has worked for people like Joe Arpaio, former Arizona Sheriff, Dinesh D'Souza, right wing commentator, and Michael Milken, a financier convicted of securities fraud.
Trump has also granted pardons at the urging of Kim Kardashian West, who made her case in the Oval Office. And earlier this year, he commuted the sentence of his longtime confidante Roger Stone, whose conviction stemmed from the Mueller investigation.
Trump's arrangement is likely to benefit people close to the President who are already on his radar because he claims they were unfairly targeted for prosecution.
Among those likeliest to benefit are former Trump campaign associates who have convictions following Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation: Michael Flynn, George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort and others. Trump has long claimed he and his campaign were illegally targeted and that campaign associates only got into trouble because of their association with him.
Several officials said Flynn -- whose guilty plea to Mueller is being litigated after the Justice Department sought to dismiss it earlier this year -- would be at the top of Trump's list of pardons.
Trump has previously dangled pardons for witnesses who testified before the special counsel, including Manafort and Flynn, and Mueller's report detailed Trump's public discussion of pardons in the volume on possible obstruction of justice.
Sources say other potential beneficiaries of Trump's lame-duck pardons include Charles Kushner, his son-in-law Jared Kushner's father, who was prosecuted more than a decade ago by then-US Attorney Chris Christie. Trump Organization chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, who received immunity in the Michael Cohen case, and Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who is under federal investigation, could also be considered.
The White House declined to comment on the matter.
The notion of presidents using pardons on their way out the door is nothing new. On his final day in office, former President Bill Clinton pardoned his brother, Roger Clinton, on decade-old drug charges, and Mark Rich, who had fled the US after being indicted for tax evasion. President George H.W. Bush pardoned his former Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger for his role in the Iran-Contra scandal.
An 'absolute right'
The idea a self-pardon has animated Trump's liberal critics for years. And Trump himself, on Twitter of course, made clear the thought has occurred to him. "As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong?" Trump tweeted in June 2018.
Trump's legal team and administration officials have downplayed the prospect. There's no precedent for doing so and the constitutionality of such a pardon is untested constitutionally, with legal experts split on whether it would be legitimate.
The Justice Department looked at the question in the Nixon era and concluded it wasn't within the president's power to pardon himself. "Under the fundamental rule that no one may be a judge in his own case, the President cannot pardon himself," the Office of Legal Counsel wrote in August 1974.
The OLC memo laid out alternate possibilities of which Trump could avail himself: he could temporarily declare himself unable to perform his presidential duties, allowing the vice president to act as president, including by issuing him a pardon, and then the president could resume his duties as president, or resign. The OLC memo also said Congress could pass a legislative pardon.
Several people familiar with the matter said that despite the President's interest, the White House counsel's office under Don McGahn, Ty Cobb and Emmet Flood didn't research the matter and didn't consider it as a serious possibility.
"He asked stuff all the time -- asking this stuff of everybody," one person said.
One former official said Trump was so fascinated by his pardon powers that senior level officials would sometimes bring up their research on the matter just to get Trump off another subject they wanted to steer away from.
There is precedent for a pre-emptive pardon -- former President Gerald Ford pardoned former President Richard Nixon after he resigned from office. But another senior former White House official cautioned against the notion that Trump would give himself a pardon, because it would suggest that he'd done something criminal that required it.
Another reason it was less likely, the official said, was that a pardon would only apply to alleged federal criminal behavior -- meaning it wouldn't stop the New York state attorney general's or the Manhattan district attorney from investigating him.
Last month, Trump's son Eric Trump sat for a deposition as part of an investigation from New York Attorney General Letitia James into whether the Trump Organization inflated the value of Trump's assets.
And the Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance is still fighting in court to gain access to Trump's tax returns, as part of his investigation into the Trump Organization.

Experts say Twitter breach troubling, undermines trust
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
HONG KONG — A breach in Twitter’s security that allowed hackers to break into the accounts of leaders and technology moguls is one of the worst attacks in recent years and may shake trust in a platform politicians and CEOs use to communicate with the public, experts said Thursday.
The ruse discovered Wednesday included bogus tweets from Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Mike Bloomberg and a number of tech billionaires including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Celebrities Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, were also hacked.
Hackers used social engineering to target some of Twitter’s employees and then gained access to the high-profile accounts. The attackers sent out tweets from the accounts of the public figures, offering to send $2,000 for every $1,000 sent to an anonymous Bitcoin address.
Cybersecurity experts say such a breach could have dire consequences since the attackers were tweeting from verified, globally influential accounts with millions of followers.
“If you receive a tweet from a verified account, belonging to a well-known and therefore trusted person, you can no longer assume it’s really from them,” said Michael Gazeley, managing director of cybersecurity firm Network Box.
Reacting to the breach, Twitter swiftly deleted the tweets and locked down the accounts to investigate. In the process it prevented verified users from sending out tweets for several hours.
The company said Thursday it has taken “significant steps to limit access to internal systems and tools.”
Many celebrities, politicians and business leaders often use Twitter as a public platform to make statements. U.S. President Donald Trump, for example, regularly uses Twitter to post about national and geopolitical matters, and his account is closely followed by media, analysts and governments around the world.
Twitter faces an uphill battle in regaining people’s confidence, Gazeley said. For a start, it needs to figure out exactly the accounts were hacked and show the vulnerabilities have been fixed, he said.
“If key employees at Twitter were tricked, that’s actually a serious cybersecurity problem in itself,” he said. “How can one of the world’s most used social media platforms have such weak security, from a human perspective?”
Rachel Tobac, CEO of Socialproof Security, said that the breach appeared to be largely financially motivated. But such an attack could cause more serious consequences.
“Can you imagine if they had taken over a world leader’s account, and tweeted out a threat of violence to another country’s leader?” asked Tobac, a social engineering hacker who specializes in providing training for companies to protect themselves from such breaches.
Social engineering attacks typically target human weaknesses to exploit networks and online platforms. Companies can guard themselves against such attacks by beefing up multi-factor authentication -– where users have to present multiple pieces of evidence as authentication before being allowed to log into a system, Tobac said.
Such a process could include having a physical token that an employee must have with them, on top of a password, before they can log into a corporate or other private system. Other methods include installing technical tools to monitor for suspicious insider activities and reducing the number of people who have access to an administrative panel, Tobac said.
U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley called on Twitter to co-operate with authorities including the Department of Justice and the FBI to secure the site.
“I am concerned that this event may represent not merely a co-ordinated set of separate hacking incidents but rather a successful attack on the security of Twitter itself,” he said.
He added that millions of users relied on Twitter not just to send tweets but also communicate privately via direct messaging.
“A successful attack on your system’s servers represents a threat to all of your users’ privacy and data security,” said Hawley.

Trump reportedly knew about whistleblower before aid release
More is known about President Donald Trump freezing nearly $400 million in military aid to Ukraine thanks to the impeachment inquiry testimony of White House Office of Budget and Management (OMB) official Mark Sandy, which was released this week. [NPR / Elena Moore]
Sandy told lawmakers Trump voiced concerns about the aid in June, and that by mid-July, there was open discussion of the president’s desire to withhold the aid at OMB. The hold was announced on July 18, and formally put into place following Trump’s July 25 call with the president of Ukraine. [Wall Street Journal / Andrew Duehren and Dustin Volz]
According to Sandy, legal and process concerns over the hold led to at least two OMB officials resigning. [Washington Post / Erica Werner and Felicia Sonmez]
And of course, concern over Trump’s interactions with Ukraine led to a whistleblower complaint that helped launch the impeachment inquiry. The public learned of the complaint in September, but the New York Times reports Trump found out about it in August. [New York Times / Michael S. Schmidt, Julian E. Barnes and Maggie Haberman]
This means when Trump finally released the aid on September 11, he knew about the report. [Axios / Zachary Basu]
Democrats will likely argue this bolsters their claim Trump released the funds because he got “caught” attempting to improperly pressure Ukraine. But in early September, Trump also believed Ukraine would be opening the investigations he’d requested. [Vox / Andrew Prokop]
At a rally Tuesday night, Trump called the impeachment proceedings “bullshit” and said: “They’re attacking me because I’m exposing a rigged system that enriched itself at your expense and I’m restoring government of, by and for the people.” [Politico / Nancy Cook and Matthew Choi]
But Democrats are moving forward with the inquiry as planned: Lawmakers are preparing a report on what they’ve learned so far, and House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler has announced his committee’s first impeachment hearing, to which he has invited the president. Trump has yet to RSVP. [BBC]
Palestinians protest US announcement

Last week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the US will no longer consider Israeli settlements in the West Bank to violate international law. [The Guardian / Julian Borger and Oliver Holmes]
Fatah, a Palestinian political party in the West Bank, organized a “day of rage” to protest the decision. [AP News / Matthew Lee]
Tuesday, more than 2,000 people gathered in Ramallah to burn photos of Trump as well as Israeli flags. [Middle East Eye / Shatha Hammad]
Mahmoud Aloul, a Fatah official, said protesters hoped to send this message: “The biased American policy toward Israel, and the American support of the Israeli settlements and the Israeli occupation, leaves us with only one option: To go back to resistance.” [Time / Mohammed Daraghmeh]
The US policy change doesn’t alter international legal standards, but it could severely hinder the US’s ability to mediate for peace in the region. [BBC]

Self-inflicted wounds, not Trump, damaging Democratic party

It has become almost comical to see how people on the left are still trying to find something to harm President Trump’s administration. They have tried the Russian Collusion approach which seems to have no end.
They have resorted to invading Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen’s office, hotel room and home in an effort to go around the restrictions on the Mueller sham. Yet, Madonna hasn’t bombed the White House, and Kathy Griffin has been replaced by Michelle Wolff as the latest (bleeping) attacker. Now, horrors, it seems that President Trump is wooing black voters.
In her column in the June 26 issue of The Advertiser, Rochelle Riley claims that President Trump is “performing his greatest magic trick” right under the noses of the Democratic Party.
She says anyone who doesn’t believe his pardons of Jack Johnson and Alice Marie Johnson aren’t part of a great plan is delusional. Part of that plan must have included inviting presidents of some historically black colleges to the White House for a photo op.  She says the HBC presidents came because their schools are struggling or dying.
She also says that President Trump is considering pardoning Muhammad Ali, claiming that will save his reputation. That might actually be a magic trick since Ali’s conviction was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1972.
According to Ms. Riley, Trump’s recent announcement that he is working on a re-election campaign has been “barely a blip on the national radar” even while under federal investigation and dismissing charges that he and his family have benefited from his being in office.
She claims he raised $10 million in April, but the NAACP didn’t march, and the Urban League hasn’t put out a statement. Sounds like the beginnings of a landslide since Trump has help from Kim Kardashian and “the Mad Rapper” in wooing black voters and has millions of black followers on Twitter.
It’s probably not fair for some blacks to compare Trump to Barack Obama. But Obama didn’t pardon Jack Johnson or get Alice Johnson released from jail. And it really isn’t magic … it’s the death of the Democratic Party through self-inflicted wounds.

Ending slavery requires measuring progress
Growing up in Alabama, I was taught a great deal about the history of slavery. Nevertheless, I was shocked to learn that there are more people around the world in slavery still today than at any previous time in history.
In June, the U.S.  State Department released the 2018 Trafficking in Persons Report, which shines a spotlight on human trafficking, and ranks 188 countries on their efforts to bring an end this crime within their borders. It is essential that this annual report tell the truth about slavery so we can effectively work towards a world where everyone is free.
The Trump Administration and Congress should utilize U.S. diplomacy and foreign aid to combat slavery, specifically by protecting the integrity of the report, reauthorizing the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, appointing a new Ambassador to head the Trafficking in Persons office, and fully funding U.S. efforts to bring an end to this stoppable crime.
My prayer is that my children will grow up in a world where we not only make significant progress in addressing the ongoing results of legal slavery in the U.S., but also become the global leaders in the fight against modern human trafficking.

City’s role in taking care of Shakespeare Festival property has fallen short
I’d like to know if I am the only person who sees the cities missteps in caring for it’s treasures?  First of all, the city was given stewardship of a great treasure, the Shakespeare Festival and Art Museum and it’s park.
The first thing they do is remove the speed bumps.  Now it’s a racetrack.  They are letting Little Wee Top fall in disrepair.  Are there any other examples of thatch roofs around?  There is a wooden bridge on one of the walking paths that is damaged. This property was given to the city by the Blounts. I’m sure they expected it to be kept as they did.

Supreme Court has reversed rulings in past decisions
Now that President Trump has announced his choice for the next Supreme Court justice, people on both sides of the abortion issue are concerned about the survival of the Roe vs. Wade decision.
They may be correct. The Supreme Court has reversed its past rulings before.
Perhaps the best example is the 1954 Brown vs. Board of Education decision, which reversed the nineteenth century Plessy v. Ferguson decision and ended segregation by law.  It is possible that a future Supreme Court ruling will reverse Roe v. Wade and declare that no one has a right to kill another human being, no matter how young that human being is.
The court might rule that the right to life belongs to everyone, especially the youngest, smallest, and most innocent among us. The natural instinct of a mother is to protect her child, not to have that child killed. The natural instinct of a father is the same.

Freedom of speech and religion is threatened in our country
Religious freedom and freedom of speech were so important that our Founders put them in our U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment.  However, these freedoms are greatly threatened.  June SCOTUS rulings protected some of these freedoms.  One major case involved a Christian baker, Jack Phillips.
SCOTUS ruled 7-2 in favor of Phillips, who declined to create a wedding cake for a same-sex couple because of his religious belief in tradition/biblical marriage.  He serves ALL people, but he doesn’t participate in ALL events.  He and his family/business were persecuted and threatened due to his decision.
The Colorado Civil Rights Commission commanded him to participate in “all” weddings or no weddings.  Therefore, he stopped weddings, losing 40% of his revenue.
SCOTUS objected to the commission’s anti-religious hostility to Phillip’s views and said, “Religious and philosophical objection to gay marriage are protected views and, in some cases, protected forms of expression.”
The judges who disagreed were Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor. They ruled promoting their personal ideology/beliefs, instead of our U.S. Constitution and religious freedom and free speech! Fortunately, the seven other judges clearly understood a difference between real anti-gay discrimination and disagreement on marriage.  Disagreement about marriage is “not” discrimination!
We should be grateful for courageous individuals/groups who stand for religious freedom and free speech and the law organizations that defend them (Alliance Defending Freedom, Liberty Counsel, Liberty Institute, ACLJ …).
Without them, religious freedom and freedom of speech would be trampled.  Americans shouldn’t be punished by government for fully living out their faith!

Two sides of government not governing for the people
Comedy time as Democrat and Republican wannabe rulers demonstrate un-qualification! One side claims “Rule of Gold” authority because they are the wealthiest.  Opponents claim “Golden Rule” authority to seize from the “haves” and give to the “have nots.”
Conspicuously unrepresented are workers who produce goods and services that create wealth and forces that protect wealth. Powerless, they watch U.S. biennial elections where candidates play “The Dozens” hurling “snaps” to determine who will rule for the next two years.
As long as that political sideshow continues, “We the People” will remain distracted, but were one party to remain in power for several cycles, the “People” might rally behind Lincoln’s remonstrance:
This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their Constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it.

Stop calling me! If you do, you are not getting my vote
My phone has been ring nonstop for weeks.  I have a voice mail that is full of nothing, yet takes up the space of 10-15 messages every day. My phone rings constantly and seldom is there any reason for me to answer the call because I know what it will be.  Another ROBO call.
It is bad enough that we have to see all of this on TV but with TV, I do have an option to turn my TV off or change the channel.  With the telephone calls, I have no control.
The Do Not Call Registry is a joke and makes no difference to these political calls or frankly, any unsolicited calls. I have made up my mind that if any person, running for political office calls my phone, uninvited, spreading their or an opponent’s lies and propaganda, I will not vote for them.PERIOD.
Will make for slim picking on Election Day.  You want my vote, STOP CALLING ME!!!

What Diet Pills Do Celebrities Use?
Celebrities may seem superhuman, but they certainly are not, they just appear that way.
They may look perfect in those glossy magazines and on the big screen, but they also face the same struggles that we do when it comes to weight loss.
Yes, they may have access to the best chefs and personal trainers available, but if they are not dedicated then the weight can certainly creep on.
Some celebs may want to take the easy route when it comes to losing those extra pounds. For instance, they may undertake a cleanse, or perhaps a more dangerous option such as the use of laxatives. Others will choose to go the route of supplementation, which brings us to this very article.
What diet pills do celebrities use? Lets look at some supplements that celebrities have been shown to use, and any weight loss ingredients that could potentially aid their efforts.
#10. Kim Kardashian – QuickTrim
Reality TV show star and wife to Kanye West, Kim Kardashian in the past has endorsed various products including those claimed to aid weight loss.
QuickTrim is just one of these products. In 2012 she tweeted:
“Since I started QuickTrim again a few weeks ago, I’m down 6 lbs!!! Yay best feeling. I was getting discouraged but now I’m so motivated!”
Whether she actually used this diet pill or not remains to be seen. But chances are sales of this supplement must have increased from fans of her social media account.
Buying pills and supplements based purely on celebrity endorsement is a dangerous practice and one that I would not recommend. You should always do your own research on the product itself first before you ever hand over your credit card information.
Take QuickTrim for example, despite its claims and endorsements there is very little proof that it actually works.
The products themselves, which range from pills to powdered diet drinks, are designed to detoxify and cleanse your body by removing water weight and bloating. This is because of the laxatives found in the formula.
Research has found that cleansing products offer very little benefit and can actually be dangerous. With studies finding that colon cleanses can cause issues that range from mild cramping to kidney failure.
#9. Britney Spears – Caffeine
Britney Spears is an American singer, songwriter and actress who became a pop icon in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits such as Baby One More Time and Oops!… I Did It Again.
She has struggled with her weight in the past but more recently seems to have got this under control. Perhaps with a little extra help?
Hydroxycut Hardcore is a supplement made from ingredients such as l-ornithine, blue skullcap, green coffee bean and caffeine.
It has been reported that celebs like Britney Spears and Demi Moore maintain their weight by drinking plenty of caffeine-laden drinks.
Caffeine is a stimulant that can boost energy levels, enhance focus and trigger thermogenesis.
Thermogenesis is a process where your metabolism is increased, therefore telling your body to burn more calories than usual.
✅The Most Powerful Diet Tablets In The World Go Head to Head In The Battle Royal – After 51,231 Votes We Reveal The Winner
#8. Wynonna Judd – Alli
Wynonna Judd is a multi-award winning American country music singer who rose to fame back in the 1980s while performing with her mother in the country music duo The Judds.
In 2009, Wynonna became a brand spokesperson for Alli, during which time she became the focus of a national marketing campaign where she claimed the pill aided her weight loss.
Alli is FDA approved and has been proven to help with weight loss by preventing the absorption of some of the fat you eat.
Unfortunately, using Alli has been shown to cause side effects too, such as:
Changes to your bowel function due to the unabsorbed fat
Fatty/oily stool
Oily spotting in your underwear
Orange or brown coloured oil in your stool
Intestinal gas with discharge
Loose stools
The feeling of needing a bowel movement immediately
While Alli works for some people, these embarrassing side effects will put off a lot of people.
Green Tea
7. Halle Berry – BHB
The keto diet involves eating a high-fat, low-carb diet. It has risen in popularity over the last few years with many celebrities including the actress’ Halle Berry, Gwyneth Paltrow and singer Mick Jagger said to be fans.
Halle Berry speaking on the Live With Kelly And Ryan show endorsed the keto diet, stating that it helped to maintain her figure and manage her diabetes.
When undergoing this diet your body will produce a chemical called beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB). This ketone is a byproduct of the process where fat is broken down in your liver.
Research has found that BHB offers numerous benefits including:
Weight loss
Lower LDL cholesterol levels (bad cholesterol)
Higher HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol)
With these proven benefits and celebrity users, supplements like Nobi Women’s fat burner & Keto BHB are flying off Amazon’s shelves.
 6. Hilary Duff – Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
Despite its dubious health claims, there are quite a few celebs claiming to use apple cider vinegar.
Actress Hilary Duff is just one of them, stating that:
“I’ll just shoot it straight in the morning. People think it’s gross, but I kind of like the taste.”
I Kissed A Girl singer Katy Perry is also a fan of ACV, having grown up with it thanks to her mother giving it to her on a regular basis.
“I was drinking strange green juices and apple cider vinegar my whole childhood. My mom made sure that whatever was put into my body was good for my body. I really am glad for that, even though it was disgusting.”
Find the exact diet pills best suited for your lifestyle and body shape.
5. Kelly Osbourne – Garcinia Cambogia
Over the last few years, there have been numerous reports from various websites claiming that Garcinia Cambodia has been used by celebrities including Kelly Osbourne, Melissa McCarthy, Jennifer Hudson, Kate Hudson and Adele.
The truth is that these celebs have probably not used garcinia, and even if they had they would not be advertising the fact.
Most of these claims are being made by companies and websites that are promoting trial offers, which get people to sign up for their offer for a small fee before charging them an extortionate amount at the conclusion of the trial.#
These trial offers have been widely reported as a scam, yet people to this day continue to fall for the scam. Probably because of the fake endorsements of various celebrities.
Garcinia cambogia saw a lot of press when it was first mentioned on the Dr Oz Show, but despite the claimed benefits at the time, there is very little proof available that any benefit will be gained from its use.
4. Luisa Zissman – Raspberry Ketones
Former Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother star Luisa Zissman claimed back in 2013 that she managed to lose 1 stone in just a month of using a Raspberry Ketone supplement.
She was not the only Z-list celebrity to endorse these pills at the time, with former TOWIE (The Only Way Is Essex) stars Sam Faiers and Frankie Essex, along with model Casey Batchelor and former Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead also promoting these diet pills.
The problem was that despite the claimed benefits, such as weight loss and fat burning, when it came to actual scientific proof there was very little available.
Again, there were a host of companies and unscrupulous individuals who made a lot of money by promoting these products using auto-ship programs and trial offers, similar to those offers for Garcinia Cambogia that we have already mentioned.
3. Miranda Kerr – Rooibos Tea
It has been said that supermodel Miranda Kerr drinks Rooibos Tea to detox and stay in shape.
Rooibos tea offers numerous benefits, for example, it can help to increase the levels of antioxidants within your body . No wonder products like the Zero Tea 14 Day Detox Tea are flying off the shelves.
Unfortunately, the benefits are short-lived and will wear off quickly.
Other fans of rooibos include Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband Michael Douglas, who served rooibos-flavoured ice cream at their wedding.
Goli Gummy Review 2020 – Do Goli Gummies Work For Weight Loss?
#2. President Obama – Green Tea – (Phen24)
Green tea offers numerous health benefits including
Improved brain function Improved fat burning Lower risk of diabetes As well as reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease
With these proven health benefits, it should come as no surprise to learn that former U.S President Barack Obama is a fan. He was after all in one of the most demanding and stressful jobs in the world.
During his time in office, President Obama oversaw the end of the war in Iraq, ordered the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden and battled for equal rights for same-sex couples. If that isn’t an endorsement then I don’t know what is.
Other celebrities that have been spotted drinking green tea include Lady Gaga, Fergie, Jennifer Lopez, Rachel Bilson and Gwyneth Paltrow.
While drinking the tea is a good option, there are plenty of supplements available that contain this beneficial ingredient, including the popular Burn XT supplement and Phen24, a product that we personally recommend.
 #1. Mo Farah – L-Carnitine – (PhenQ)
If you find yourself lacking energy and motivation to workout perhaps you could use a little help in the form of L-Carnitine. An ingredient made famous after it was revealed that Olympian Mo Farah uses it to aid with his recovery.
Every day Mo will get up at about 7 am, have some breakfast, which would consist of toast with butter and Nutella, and go for a run.
His morning run will be around 10-12 miles (16-19km), after which he would visit the gym for some core work. After a quick rest or a nap, he would run another 5 miles (8km) at lunchtime.
For most of us, this workout would take weeks of recovery time, yet he does this most days.
No wonder some competing athletes have questioned the legality of this ingredient and whether L-Carnitine can be used to aid recovery and boost performance
Nowadays, this incredible ingredient is used by many top-level and amateur athletes. You can start supplementing with it today by using PhenQ, our no.1 ranked supplement.

The Roger Stone pardon saga
New Post has been published on https://thebiafrastar.com/the-roger-stone-pardon-saga/
The Roger Stone pardon saga
And it’s all become the worst kept secret in Washington: Trump won’t let Roger Stone go to prison.
“It’s not a question of if,” said a former senior administration official who remains in contact with Trump and his senior advisers. “It’s when.”
While Trump has been coy about his intent — “I haven’t given it any thought,” the president recently told reporters — he has spent the past two weeks loudly complaining about the treatment of his longtime confidant.
Trump aides in the White House and circling around his 2020 reelection campaign say the president is just being cautious and heeding advice to at least wait to move on Stone until after the court process plays out a little bit more. And among people close to Stone, there’s high confidence that the president will remember the 35-plus year relationship the two men share and ultimately spare him from going to prison.
“You can count on the usual suspects who competed with Roger Stone to have strong opinions,” said Michael Caputo, a former Trump 2016 campaign aide who is spearheading the effort to secure a Stone pardon.
“In the end the only opinion that matters is the president of the United States,” he added. “We feel President Donald Trump understands exactly what has happened here and will show mercy to his old aide Roger Stone.”
Stone faces a maximum 50-year prison sentence stemming from his November conviction on seven felony counts, including lying to Congress and stymying House and FBI investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Ultimately, the sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson is expected to be much less than that.
A fierce debate over the length of Stone’s sentence has become the flashpoint in a brewing war over judicial independence and how much Attorney General Bill Barr and the president should meddle in the prosecution of high-profile political cases.
Barr unsettled the legal world last week when he suddenly intervened to overrule career prosecutors who had recommended that Stone should be sent to prison for seven to nine years, in accordance with federal sentencing guidelines. The move came after Trump had already complained about the sentence recommendation, raising concerns the attorney general was doing Trump’s bidding. Despite Barr’s insistence that he made the decision independently, the four prosecutors assigned to Stone’s case resigned in protest.
Barr then went on television to implore the president to stop his public commentary about ongoing cases, saying it was making his job “impossible.” But the president has only barrelled forward, defending his right to comment on any legal case and continuing to stump for Stone to get an entirely new trial.
Amid this backdrop, Stone will get his sentence on Thursday — but he won’t be immediately sent into custody. Judge Jackson earlier this week promised that Stone won’t be sent to prison right away after he learns his punishment. Instead, Stone’s start date in a federal penitentiary will be deferred until Jackson, an appointee of President Barack Obama, resolves a separate request that Stone has made for a new trial.
The move has bought Trump a little more time before he needs to make any clemency moves. And the delay has heartened Stone allies who fret that top White House aides including Jared Kushner and Pat Cipollone, Barr, or even outside heavy hitters like Donald Trump Jr. and Corey Lewandowski would get into Trump’s ear and urge him to stay away from a move to wipe Stone’s record clean.
They are also banking on the decades-long history between the president and his longtime GOP confidant. Stone and Trump have a history unlike anyone else around the president. They’ve known each other since Ronald Reagan’s 1980 White House campaign and maintained a rapport that includes Stone counseling Trump during four potential presidential runs and Trump hiring Stone as a lobbyist to represent his gambling, airline and hotel businesses.
In his most recent book, Stone boasted that he knew about Trump’s 2016 plans more than two years before the formal campaign announcement. And even after Trump and Stone officially parted ways not long after the campaign launch, the two continued speaking, with Stone serving as the campaign’s unofficial conduit to WikiLeaks, the controversial Julian Assange-led outfit that published scores of stolen emails embarrassing to Hillary Clinton during key moments of the presidential race.
“There’s very few people who know Donald Trump before the presidency better than Roger Stone,” said Morgan Pehme, the co-director of the Netflix documentary “Get Me Roger Stone.” “And as entangled as Roger Stone is in his life, the president has a vested interest in making sure they are on the most amicable terms.”
Indeed, Trump has maintained interest in Stone’s legal situation from the get go, and the president’s public comments at several key moments along the way have drawn scrutiny from legal experts who warned they could be construed as presidential interference. In December 2018, for example, Trump faced questions that he was witness tampering after he lauded Stone’s statement pledging not to testify against Trump.
“Nice to know that some people still have ‘guts!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Nearly two months later, when special counsel Robert Mueller unveiled the Stone indictment, Trump complained about the manner of Stone’s arrest and asked why a number of top law enforcement officials didn’t face similar legal scrutiny.
The president has kept up a similar line of public criticism as the Stone case wound its way through court. Trump tweeted about the jury verdict just minutes after it came down. Then, of course, there was the kerfuffle over the prison sentence recommendation. Trump also recently attacked a woman who has identified herself as the Stone jury foreperson over social media posts critical of his presidency.
While Barr did intervene to lower Stone’s prison sentence recommendation, he has also endorsed the DOJ’s work going after Stone.
“I thought that was a righteous prosecution. And I was happy that he was convicted,” Barr said.
How Barr would come down on a Stone pardon remains unclear. He’s a staunch defender of executive power and during his first stint as attorney general under President George H.W. Bush advocated for clemency on behalf of several Reagan-era officials caught up in the Iran-Contra scandal. He ultimately pushed for more pardons than the one Bush handed out to former Defense Secretary Casper Weinberger.
“There were some people arguing just for Weinberger, and I said, ‘No, in for a penny, in for a pound,” Barr said in an oral history to the University of Virginia.
As for Stone’s critics in Trump world — and he has many — most have been hesitant to get in the way of a possible presidential pardon.
Lewandowski famously sparred with Stone during the 2016 campaign and celebrated his conviction in November. But in a Newsmax interview last week, Lewandowski appeared to be using some of the same talking points that others around the president have deployed to bash a possible lengthy prison term.
“As much as I’m not a fan of Roger Stone, this notion that he was going to receive a recommendation of seven to nine years in jail for lying to Congress or obstruction is completely absurd,” Lewandowski said.
Asked about Stone’s pardon prospects, Lewandowski replied, “I think that’s for the president to decide.”
Stone allies are keeping tabs on others around Trump, including the president’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr. They were dejected, for example, to hear Trump Jr. in a Sirius XM interview last week seem to downplay Stone’s involvement in the 2016 presidential campaign.
“Roger Stone was one of those guys who was trying desperately to be relevant, so he was in a dark room throwing darts and he actually hit something,” Trump Jr. said.
But they also quickly took comfort in comments Trump Jr. made on Saturday during an appearance on Fox News that argued Stone hasn’t been treated the same as several former top law enforcement officials who the president and allies claim long ago set out to frame the president.
“The double standard is what’s sickening, and I think that’s what’s so frustrating to us,” Trump Jr. said. “Like, I don’t care if we play hardball or if we play t-ball. But we’ve got to be playing the same game, and we’re not.”
All of the clamor surrounding a Stone pardon has followed a similar pattern as some of the other high-profile cases where celebrities or other people close to the president work channels outside the traditional DOJ clemency process to secure his attention.
Kim Kardashian West, for example, encouraged Trump to commute the sentence of a grandmother serving life without parole for a nonviolent drug crime — a move that Trump’s campaign trumpeted earlier this month in a high-priced Super Bowl commercial.
On Tuesday, Trump’s White House acknowledged that former San Francisco 49ers owner Edward DeBartolo, Jr., was pardoned for pleading guilty to fraud in part because of the advocacy of NFL greats Jim Brown, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice.
For Stone, Fox host Tucker Carlson has helped carry the torch by dedicating significant air time to the subject.
Then there’s Caputo, another longtime Trump associate who worked on the 2016 campaign and who visited the president at the White House last April just days after the conclusion of the Mueller probe. Caputo declined to say what kind of direct outreach he’s had with Trump in recent weeks about a pardon except to say that they’re trying to hold back on applying maximum pressure until Stone must report to prison.
“As long as Roger Stone is free, we’re not going to rush the process,” said Caputo. “It’s sacrosanct.”
Trump’s interest in helping out Stone is rooted in his belief that anyone tied up in the Mueller probe has been mistreated.
“Somebody has to stick up for the people,” the president said Tuesday.
Trump has faced questions over whether he’ll also dole out a pardon to Michael Flynn, the former Trump national security adviser who has been fighting the Justice Department over his attempts to withdraw his guilty plea for lying to the FBI.
“Look at him,” Trump said of Flynn. “I mean, his life has been destroyed.”
But Flynn might not even need Trump’s clemency to stay out of prison. The retired Army general faces a five-year maximum prison sentence for his false-statements felony charge, but prosecutors have urged the judge handling the case to consider a sentence between no jail time and six months behind bars.
“With Flynn, who knows? This guy may not end up needing a pardon,” said the former senior administration official.
Then there’s Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chairman who has about six years left on a prison sentence tied to a series of lobbying, financial fraud and witness-tampering crimes. Trump has said he feels “very badly” for Manafort, and his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, has stayed in contact with the imprisoned ex-lobbyist.
Still, the former senior administration official said, “I don’t think you’re going to find a ton of people who are wanting to associate themselves with Paul Manafort.
Trump critics say they’re bracing for the inevitable when it comes to Stone — though they differ on when it might happen.
Annemarie McAvoy, a defense attorney and media consultant who early on in the Mueller probe represented former Trump campaign deputy Rick Gates, predicted Stone will likely have to wait beyond November.
“I never say never, but would be extremely surprised if the president were to pardon Roger Stone before the election,” she said. “Doing so right now, given the recent comments from Bill Barr, would make the situation even more volatile.”
During a CNN appearance last week, former FBI general counsel James Baker said Trump shouldn’t even wait for Jackson’s sentencing decision.
“I think everybody knows the president is going to pardon Roger Stone,” he said. “Just do it. Like, just do it now. Don’t wait until the day after the election when you’re probably going to do it.”

Trump, Democrats to Address Criminal Justice Reforms at South Carolina Forum
Republican President Donald Trump and his top Democratic rivals for the White House in November 2020 will take part in a forum on criminal justice reform at a historically black South Carolina college this weekend.
The forum, at Benedict College, in Columbia, is aimed at tackling the next steps in reforming the U.S. criminal justice system after Trump last year signed bipartisan legislation that instituted a number of changes, including easing harsh minimum sentences for nonviolent drug offenders.
Trump is addressing the forum as a keynote speaker on Friday, when the topic is, “The Conservative Case for Criminal Justice Reform.” Former Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, and seven other Democratic contenders will present their criminal justice plans over the weekend.
Here is a look at the criminal justice platforms for the highest polling Democrats in the 18-candidate field, as well as Trump’s record during his first term in office.
Donald Trump
The Republican president signed into law the First Step Act, which reduced mandatory minimum sentences, required officials to try to place inmates in prisons near family, expanded drug treatment programs for prisoners and parolees, and allowed some federal prisoners to finish their sentences early with good behavior.
The measure expanded a 2010 law that reduced higher penalties for possession of crack cocaine, used more by the poor and minorities, than for powder cocaine, used more by the wealthy and middle class. It also expanded programs to help at-risk youth and banned the use of restraints for prisoners who are pregnant or post-partum.
At the behest of celebrity Kim Kardashian West, Trump commuted the sentence of Alice Johnson, who had spent 21 years behind bars for a non-violent drug offense.
Joe Biden
Biden, who served as vice president under former U.S. President Barack Obama, has proposed eliminating prison sentences for drug use, decriminalizing marijuana and eliminating sentencing disparities for offenses involving crack cocaine and powder cocaine. He also would eliminate the death penalty. He would end mandatory sentencing that takes discretion away from judges, eliminate private prisons and end the federal system of cash bail, under which defendants who cannot afford to pay must await trial in jail.
Biden also has pledged to reform the juvenile justice system, including keeping youths from being incarcerated with adults. He would end incarceration for children who drink or engage in other behaviors that would be legal if they were older, such as truancy or curfew violations. He would work to eliminate barriers for felons re-entering society from prison, including restrictions on allowing them to receive food stamps, educational Pell grants and housing support.
Elizabeth Warren
Warren, a U.S. senator from Massachusetts, says the criminal justice system is harshly punitive, locks up too many people and is stacked against the poor and disadvantaged, as well as against African-Americans and Latinos.
She has called for increasing social services that help young people stay out of prison, decriminalizing truancy and relying on counselors and teachers rather than police officers in schools. Warren has vowed to push to repeal the 1994 crime bill, which imposed harsh sentences on major and minor crimes alike and removed much of the discretion judges have in deciding who should be incarcerated and for how long.
She would legalize marijuana at the federal level and erase past convictions for the drug. Like several other Democrats, she would eliminate the differences in sentencing for powder versus crack cocaine. Warren would eliminate the cash bail system, under which defendants who are affluent enough to afford bail do not have to remain in jail pending their trials.
Bernie Sanders
Sanders, a U.S. senator from Vermont, would push to enact numerous progressive reforms of the criminal justice system, including banning for-profit prisons, abolishing the death penalty and tightening rules and penalties for police misconduct.
He would end the system of requiring cash bail for defendants to avoid jail before they are convicted, a system he believes leads to locking up the poor at greater rates than the wealthy. Sanders’ “justice and safety” plan would also end so-called “three strikes and you’re out” laws, which mandate life sentences for people convicted of more than two felonies, even if the third crime is a relatively minor offense.
Sanders says he will change the way police officers are deployed and trained, bringing in social workers or conflict negotiators to defuse potentially dangerous situations and mandating criminal charges against officers who engage in misconduct that results in a violation of someone’s civil rights.
Pete Buttigieg
Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, would end prison sentences for drug possession and expand diversion programs aimed at keeping people with mental health and drug problems out of the criminal justice system.
Buttigieg has pledged to eliminate racial inequities in jails and prisons, and improve rehabilitation services. He would eliminate mandatory minimum sentences, which take discretion from judges in imposing prison terms, and establish a clemency commission to commute sentences of people the commission believes have been incarcerated for too long.
Along with his Democratic rivals, Buttigieg would eliminate private prisons and end the system of cash bail. He also opposes imprisoning people or suspending their drivers licenses for failing to pay fines and court costs.
Kamala Harris
Harris, a U.S. senator from California, would restrict the legal use of deadly force by police, end the incarceration of juveniles in adult prisons and legalize marijuana at the federal level.
Her proposals are part of a criminal justice platform that Harris says must hold wrongdoers accountable without veering toward what she calls an unjust system of mass incarceration and arrest that has harmed communities of color and the poor. Harris, a former district attorney and state attorney general, has pledged to end the use of private prisons and seek to improve efforts to rehabilitate violent offenders.
Harris favors restricting the use of deadly force by police officers by allowing them to shoot subjects only when “necessary,” rather than allowing it when “reasonable,” the current standard in many states.
Andrew Yang
Yang, a businessman, would end the use of for-profit prisons. He would review sentencing laws to bring prison terms in line with what data shows are effective. He also would realign drug policy so that treatment is emphasized rather than punishment.
Yang has vowed to investigate racial disparities in the criminal justice system and to better fund programs aimed at reducing recidivism and aiding re-entry to society for people who have completed their terms.
Beto O’Rourke
The former congressman from Texas believes the country’s current criminal justice system is “built on structural racism,” leading people of color to be disproportionately incarcerated. The roots of mass incarceration can be found in an economy that leaves black families poorer, less likely to have good medical coverage and more broadly disadvantaged than whites, O’Rourke says.
Like most of his Democratic rivals, O’Rourke says as president he would decriminalize marijuana, end the system of cash bail and ban the use of private and for-profit prison systems. He would increase funding for public defenders, the lawyers who provide legal services for people who cannot afford to defend themselves when accused of crimes. O’Rourke has also promised to improve rehabilitation and re-entry programs for people who have been incarcerated.
Amy Klobuchar
Klobuchar, a U.S. senator from Minnesota, has built her criminal justice proposals around a call for a stronger system of granting clemency for people who have been convicted of crimes. Pointing to inmates who were sentenced to life terms for first-time drug offenses and others who were unfairly incarcerated, she says she would create a clemency advisory board and a position of adviser in the White House on criminal justice issues.
Klobuchar, a former prosecutor, would also further reform the system of requiring mandatory minimum sentences for many crimes. Mandatory minimum sentences were encoded in law as part of “tough-on crime” efforts in the 1980s and 1990s. They are believed to have resulted in a ballooning of the U.S. prison population and had a disproportionate effect on defendants of color. Klobuchar also has called for reforming the cash bail system.
Cory Booker
Booker, a U.S. senator from New Jersey, would extend clemency to inmates convicted of non-violent drug offenses, continuing an effort to shorten such sentences that he began as a lawmaker. Booker also would decriminalize marijuana at the federal level and expunge the records of people convicted of cannabis-related crimes.
He would end mandatory minimum sentences for nonviolent drug offenses. He would eliminate sentencing disparities between crack and powder cocaine, noting that harsher sentences for crack cocaine disproportionately affect defendants of color.
Like many of his rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination, Booker has decried the War on Drugs, saying it has led the United States to incarcerate more of its people than any other nation and has particularly harmed minority and disadvantaged communities. Booker, who is African-American, would ban employers from asking whether job-seekers had ever been arrested as an initial question on an employment application.
Tulsi Gabbard
Gabbard, a congresswoman from Hawaii, vows to reform the U.S. criminal justice system by seeking alternatives to incarceration, legalizing marijuana and banning private prisons, positions that are similar to those held by the leading Democratic candidates.
She has current laws, noting that the United States locks up people for smoking marijuana but did not bring criminal charges against Purdue Pharma, which makes the opioid drug OxyContin at the center of the deadly U.S. opioid epidemic.
Tom Steyer
Steyer, a billionaire former hedge fund manager and political activist, reflects the views of most progressive Democrats on criminal justice. He decries the prison system as racist and promises to work to eliminate private prisons, end cash bail and reduce the prison population.
He supports better training to reduce police brutality and more funding for public defenders. Steyer also has vowed to improve rehabilitation and workforce readiness programs for those in prison so they can better integrate into society once they are released. He supports the legalization of marijuana.
Julian Castro
Castro, a former mayor of San Antonio, Texas, and secretary of Housing and Urban Development under former President Barack Obama, would legalize marijuana and expunge the records of those previously convicted of using the drug. He would end the death penalty and make it no longer a crime to enter the United States by crossing its border without permission.
In his “People First Policing Plan,” Castro says he would “end over-aggressive policing and combat racially discriminatory policing,” in part by banning the use of deadly force unless there is an imminent threat to human life.
Castro would end the use of private prisons. He would raise the age to be considered a juvenile offender from 18 to 21 and develop community programs aimed at preventing young people from entering the criminal justice system in the first place. He would eliminate the use of mandatory minimum sentencing, returning discretion to judges.

[BBC]
