Coincidence? PT2

(A/N) For those who have not read part one ill link it here but just know that this is not in order and these are just sneak peaks to my new fic that will be posted on my Wattpad.

Part 1

The girl looked around and decided to be hopeful that she could find information on it. “It's like finding a needle in a haystack.” (Y/N) said as she looked through the labels on the shelves looking for anything starting with the letter “S”. 

‘What if shifting does not exist in this world? How am I supposed to find out if what I'm experiencing is really shifting? What if I just hit my head really hard and died? What if I'm in a coma?’ All types of ‘what if’s’ circled the girl's head as she finally made it to the ‘S’ section. 

And ironically it happened to be a whole aisle almost 15ft long. 

“Oh kill me now”

The girl's eyes widened when she finally found what she was looking for. 

INSTRUCTIONS AND HISTORY ON SHIFTING

“Yes!”

The girl happily hopped over to one of the desks and sat herself excitedly on the stool with the book open in front of her.

CHAPTER 1: HOW TO KNOW IF YOU’VE SHIFTED

This part comes down to you and how you want to be made aware. Quite a few people script something that indicates they’re in their desired reality, some examples being a specific smell or somebody waking them up. Some people even script that they immediately open their eyes after shifting, so as long as you have an intention to be made aware, there’s no need to worry about knowing you’re actually there. 

If you haven’t scripted any specifics, you can usually tell you’ve shifted through a change in atmosphere. Many shifters state that the atmosphere changes around them, and they know they’re there. It’s hard to picture this until you feel it personally, but if you feel like the atmosphere has changed or you’ve shifted, you probably have. The way the atmosphere changes will be different depending on what you’ve scripted. For example, your desired bedroom may be a little colder than your bedroom in this reality, or you may have scripted that you’re waking up next to someone. If you feel this weight on your bed as planned, or perhaps feel a drop in temperature or notice a subtle noise you weren’t aware of before, this is the change you’re looking for.

(Y/N) continued on reading, mumbling a few things as she continued. 

The girl was suddenly snapped out of her reading as she heard a creak of a door. She placed the book down and stood up, head in the direction of the noise. 

“What the fuck?..” she whispered under her breath as there was a small glow being emitted from the aisle that the noise had come from. 

(Y/N) slowly approached the noise, grabbing a nearby broom for protection. ‘I swear to god if it's some ghost ass shit I'm gonna feed myself to a titan.’ she thought as she neared the corner. 

“OH SHIT!”
