I'm reading that a lot of people are wondering WHY Taemin and Onew decided to not renew their contracts with SM...well where should we start? 🤔

1) After more than a decade maybe they FINALLY want to be artistically free??? Create their own label with their own standards, decide what's best for their solo career

2) Maybe they want to have something more than a "poor" 5% of the incomes that SM gives them out of the tons of money they gain THANKS to them

3) Maybe they had enough of the mistreatment they had to endure since they were teenagers??

4) SM has no more (they ever had it in first place??🤔) the skills and competence to manage their groups/units and solo artists careers : they "destroyed" and keep failing on them one by one...

I could go on...I just wish them all the best for their future solo careers 🍀🍀

SHINee's Taemin set to depart SM Entertainment after 16 years

On March 5 KST it was reported that SHINee's Taemin is set to conclude his exclusive contract with his long-time agency, SM Entertainment, by the end of this month.

Having debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008, Taemin has been under the management of SM Entertainment for 16 years, having renewed his contract multiple times over the years.

As Taemin's exclusive contract comes to an end, he is poised to embark on a new chapter in his career as a singer under a different agency. However, it is expected that SHINee will continue to collaborate with SM Entertainment for their group activities.
