GENRES: Comedy, Romance

SUMMARY: Two high school frenemies, torn apart by circumstance, find each other as adults and pick up exactly where they left off.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Romantic red scarves, silly friends, lap running, demon lakes, generational distrust, golf courses, delirious smooches, loss and recovery, designer suits, and peach blossom promises.

HOT TAKE: I kinda knew from the get-go that this was going to be a silly fluff romance, but I was determined to stick around since it's been FAR too long since we've seen Ju Ji Hoon, never mind in something silly and animated like this.

For me, watching went like this: EPS 1-5: Just here for Ju Ji Hoon. EPS 6-10: Okay, this is actually kinda cute and funny! EPS 11-12: Fast-forwarding to the end because why are you trying to deep-dive into all these side plots this late in the game?

A decent show if you're into nice calm romance, terrible family tragedies, almost comically annoying missed connections, and Ju Ji Hoon in perfectly-tailored suits.

Love Your Enemy

I want to read this webtoon. I loved the story between Yoon Ji Won and Seok Ji Won, these two share a birthday, their name and the feud between their families. We see their relationship as teens and adults, how misunderstandings kept them apart and how this second chance brings their families together.

The subplots of the students at the school and the relationship between Soo Ah and Nurse Hong are also cute.

It is a fun and sweet story.

I recommend it!

I still haven't decided if they're gonna give us a Syaon x Chi Hoon subplot, but even though he is a squealing fan, he respects her privacy, protected her identity when it was at danger of being exposed and overall is just so ethical even in his admiration for her and all of that is really nice to see. The detail of him not putting his hand on her shoulder but just hovering above it when he helped her with those fans was pretty much appreciated. I can see why he was one of the two people Sol Hee chose to keep near.

The drama that that could’ve been. I know a lot of kdrama fans had so many problems with this one and yes there are many glaring problems with it, plot holes galore, inconsistencies all around, and a wtf type ending, but…..yes but despite all that if you’re a die hard sci-fi dystopian/time travel romance genre fan then you probably might still like this. I threw out all logic, all plot holes, and switched off my brain and enjoyed the cinematography, chemistry, and the acting which were done really well. It’s by far from perfect but still very watchable and enjoyable (*minus the ending* seriously were they hoping for a sequel)

It was surprisingly hard for me to find a good picture of this man (he hasn't been in a lot yet, at least two other actors share his name, and I've blocked the Pale Moon tag so I can't really search tumblr) but here he is, for your viewing pleasure!
