Everyone knows it's a certified death sentence to look Lee Seunghwan in the eyes.

People have fainted, devils have turned to the church, and even God considers coming back to humanity with one glance from the man. Every word you could say, he hangs onto like a lifeline. There's something dangerous in that: the pure attention of it, the raw focus he channels into his eye contact.

He sits pretty in the corner of this party, in the edges of your memory and in the crevices of your dreams. Dramatically, you want to say he haunts you. Haunts you with the full might of his stupid smile and his soft laugh. And those eyes.

These low lights and party noise and Him.

It seems wherever you go in this room, your eyes find him. You can't help but let your gaze linger as he laughs. But the way he stares though, is far from coincidental.

At first, you found it unnerving during group projects. You were never used to someone taking you so seriously and genuinely. His eye contact always so understanding and pure. But over time, you got used to it, and learned to open up to him and others. Even as time passed, and you both saw each other much less often, your feelings still remained.

Another flow of people ebbs into the room, and you stumble your way into friends and others. Here, lost in the crowd you can breathe, surely hidden away and far enough to let yourself enjoy Junhyeon's party and keep yourself away from thinking about someone far away.

Seunghwan's like that with everyone, is what some craven thing inside of you whines. Extroverts and their people skills! eye contact is their god given gift. Yet, nothing explains the flush on his cheeks when you talked or the way he lingered far longer than usual when he watched you.

"Y/n," a voice, far too close to your ear asks. "How's your night been?"

Two years’ worth of sitting next to him in lectures must pay off, and when you nearly jump five feet into the air, you don't slap Seunghwan across the face in surprise.

Seunghwan stares. With those eyes that have you by the neck and God, you just can't bare it. Instead, you look between his brows - you don't want to die by blushing just yet.

"How's your night been?" he asks again, louder and closer. Must be thinking that the music was too loud after you probably gaped at him like an idiot for a moment too long.

"Busy." Is all you can say with how his gaze draws across your face. He doesn't gaze down, here - it's you and him, leaning against the wall together while the party moves around you - you're eye to eye. Under these dim lights, nothing lights up like Seunghwan and his stare. Despite all these people, it's all eyes on you. All of Seunghwan just for you.

"Busy?" he says casually. Of course, he's not the one having this dilemma, and you're still refusing to look at him properly. "To me, it looks like you've been in your head the entire party."

“You’ve been watching me the entire party?” You scoff, but you know he’s lingered in your vision as well. "I've talked to someone," you huff instead. Eyes to his ears this time: adorable and pierced with silver charms. You bought him those on a study group session at the mall. He looks as cute in them now as he did then. Somewhere in your mind screams for you to reach out and touch.

And then he's closer, a breath away and now it's physically impossible to look away from him. A pout is so cutely etched across his face but so close you could count his lashes. 

You must be horribly red now as Seunghwan leans close - aware or not of your blushing meltdown. "Who?" Look anywhere but his eyes! you mentally scream and keep your gaze instead on his stupidly kissable lips. 

"You."

His pout turns to a smile. From how his eyes turn to crescents and you can almost feel the triumph in it.

There’s a momentous pause. These low lights and party noise and Him. Time, for you, stops as you take in the sight. Lee Seunghwan gorgeous and endearing, looking at you with pure love in his eyes is when you realise that these years of pining haven’t gone to waste. 

"Hey," he murmurs, low and thick. Both the inevitable and the impossible is coming; a paradox in the making within a dimmed hallway at a drunk college party. "Look at me."

Your chin caught between his fingers - you can't not look away. Not when you've doomed yourself (and him) with one look in each other’s eyes. 

Seunghwan breaks eye contact for the first time you've ever seen in your life, and his gaze travels to your lips. 

When you do collide, you know then, certified death tastes sweeter than a life not ever knowing.

lee seunghwan was eliminated.

y/n takes in a shaky breath, closing his eyes as the realization hits him like a ton of bricks. he doesn't think he has enough courage to even look at seunghwan, because he feels gross.

he shouldn't even be standing here, seunghwan should. seunghwan did everything, seunghwan tried so hard, seunghwan is the talented one, seunghwan deserves a spot in the top nine, seunghwan is the one who deserves to stand here.

not him.

even if y/n isn't looking at him, he's still tearing up at the idea of seunghwan getting eliminated, how he was the one here and seunghwan wasn't, that made no sense, it wasn't fair.

he can't even bring himself to focus during any of the eliminated trainees speeches.

well— except seunghwan's of course.

y/n bit his nails the whole entire time, everything else seems to be blurred but seunghwan. like the only thing he should be focusing on is seunghwan, his voice, his smile, his laugh, his speech, just him.

seunghwan laughs, which makes y/n laugh, he's much less emotional despite being the one who got eliminated.

"i wish i could've ranked in the top eighteen, but at the same time, not everything comes to you without hard work" seunghwan begins, another small laugh escaping his lips. "this was an amazing opportunity for me to have, i appreciate everyone who helped me, who stuck by my side, everyone who supported me even when i wasn't confident in myself.. but i especially appreciate y/n, whose been with me since the beginning, i wish him and every other trainee the best of luck".

y/n exhales a shaky breath, closing his eyes once again.

when seunghwan finishes, he simply sighs and looks up to where y/n is sitting, smiling at him as he walks down back to where the rest of the eliminated trainees were.

don't cry, don't cry, just wait until filming ends, y/n, you can make it.

but his thoughts aren't making it any easier, because there's a pang in his heart at the thought of never seeing seunghwan again, at the thought of seunghwan forgetting him.

and his huge crush on him? that'd just probably fade into obscurity too, now he's beating himself up over taking too long to say anything, and now seunghwan had been eliminated.

he's way too lost in his thoughts that he doesn't even realize the elimination ceremony is over until junhyeon hops towards him and embraces him in the tightest hug ever.

y/n feels his heart warm, junhyeon tightening his grip around him as he jumps up in excitement.

"y/n can you believe it!?"

"i'm glad you made it, junhyeon" he states, patting his head as he gives him a sweet smile. "i was rooting for you the whole time".

"were the only members of ggang left".

y/n is almost shocked by the words that escape junhyeon's mouth, is he trying to make him cry? because if he is then he's doing a good job.

"don't say that, junhyeon, are you trying to make me emotional?"

"sorry n/n".

y/n laughs, completely enamored by the younger boy before him.

but his focus is diverted from him when he hears seunghwan's voice, his laugh, sees him smile and hug some of the other eliminated trainees who were sobbing.

junhyeon blinks, noticing how distracted he'd gotten. he notices y/n staring at seunghwan, and lets out a small 'ah' in understanding.

he nudges the older. "go talk to him".

"i— uh.. no, no it's okay".

"y/n are you serious?" junhyeon inquires, tugging his hand and inching him closer seunghwan's way. "come on, he leaves tonight and your not gonna talk to him now?"

"i don't need you to remind me of that.." y/n mumbles, and junhyeon lets out a frustrated sigh at his stubbornness. "i just— it's really fine, junhyeon, it's okay".

junhyeon's face falls as he listens to y/n's words, he wants them to talk, he knows y/n wants to talk to seunghwan, but at the same time he doesn't want to force him into anything.

"i'm gonna go congratulate jay".

junhyeon simply lets him go, though he sees seunghwan cast eyes at him as he walks away.

the next thirty minutes consisted of hugging, laughing, crying, smiling, and saying goodbyes to all the trainee friends he'd made along the way.

y/n was doing his best to avoid seunghwan, which was honestly difficult because the two of them had been insanely close since the first episode.

he sighs as he walks back to the dorms, coming across a disappointed supercharger team packing up their stuff. his face falls, but ollie's face lights up when he sees him at the door.

"hi y/n!" he exclaims, pausing his packing as he runs up and hugs him. "what are you doing here?"

"just saying goodbye, again" his face falls as he looks at the rest of the team, exchanging a pained smile with seowon. "i'm sorry you guys".

"it's okay, y/n" haruto smiles, but y/n still feels a good amount of guilt, like he didn't deserve to be in top 18 whilst all of them were eliminated and has their dreams crushed. "it's not your fault".

"y/n, have you talked to seunghwan yet?" zihao inquires, and y/n blinks as his face goes a shade of red.

"i mean— no".

"you haven't!?" woonggi exclaims, his jaw basically dropping. even when packing he still manages to be overdramatic. "what are you waiting for y/n? go talk to him!"

"but.. i—"

"no buts!" haruto shouts. "go!"

ollie nods in encouragement and pushes y/n out of room, making him let out a small sigh.

he picks his nails, an unfortunate habit of his as he makes his way to the en garde room, walking slower and slower as he gets nearer.

the feeling of anxiety rises, but as he looks through the open door, he sees a surprisingly calm seunghwan packing. he pauses, trying to reconsider his choices, thinking he should walk back, but seunghwan notices him before he can.

"hi y/n" seunghwan smiles at the sight of him, zipping up his suitcase as he turns to look at him. "everything okay?"

for some reason, hearing his voice, seeing him so close even though he already has so many times before, seeing lee seunghwan now that he was eliminated and no longer a trainee, seeing him with all his stuffed packed and ready to go, it gets him emotional.

y/n was trying his best not to cry during the announcement, but it wasn't even worth it because now he couldn't hold it in anymore, he almost immediately burst into tears upon seeing seunghwan look at him with such.. love.

seunghwan's face falls, he walks up to y/n and wraps his arms around him, the comforting gesture just making said boy cry harder. "y/n.. what's wrong?"

"it's just not fair" he mumbles into seunghwan's shirt. "you got eliminated, you shouldn't have, you did so well and you didn't make it but i did and that makes no sense—"

"okay okay" seunghwan whispers, y/n can't hold in his sobs anymore, after everything seunghwan did, after he constantly supported him, after he spent extra time helping him during dance practice, after everything the two of them had been through together, and it all just amassed to this. "it's gonna be okay, y/n, it wasn't your fault, you know that right?"

"i know it's just.." y/n sniffles, and seunghwan wipes his tears his with thumb. "you deserve that place more than me, you worked so much harder you deserved to be there".

"hey" seunghwan looks him in the eye, and y/n just takes in a deep breath. "i don't wanna hear you undermine yourself, okay? you've worked hard, y/n, you deserve to be in the top eighteen".

but now i can't debut with you like we promised each other..

he doesn't say that though.

y/n bites his inner cheek, not knowing how he maintains eye contact with seunghwan. "i couldn't have done it without you, seunghwan".

"i couldn't have done it without you either, y/n" seunghwan says genuinely, that pretty pretty smile coming to his face. "your the only reason i didn't give up, so i don't want you to give up, okay?"

y/n is barely able to muster a nod as seunghwan caresses his cheek with his thumb, a fond look in his eyes as he admires the boy in front of him.

they're having a moment— the two of them are simply staring, y/n feeling his heart almost jumping out of his chest as seunghwan simply stares at him, looking so in love that it makes him feel like he's dreaming.

seunghwan simply tilts his head, giving a small laugh before he presses a small kiss to y/n's lips.

y/n feels as if his eyes are gonna pop out of their sockets, he is quite literally frozen, because the same lee seunghwan that he's been in love with for god knows how long just kissed him, just like that? he feels his legs about to give in.

"why so surprised?"

"i— you.. you— you just!"

y/n watches as seunghwan's eyes practically turn into hearts, smiling at how completely flustered he is. "had to tell you i felt the same way somehow".

"you'll still hang out with me after the show, yeah?" he inquires, finally letting go of y/n after what seemed like forever. he quickly kneels down to fix his suitcase real quick.

"please, why would i not?"

"you'd get too famous and forget me".

y/n deadpans at seunghwan's sarcasm, and he finally fixes everything in his suitcase and zips it closed. "why would i ever forget you? i would never, trust me".

seunghwan picks up his suitcase, holding out his hand towards y/n for him to take. "walk me out, yeah?"

y/n takes his hand, gladly intertwining their fingers as he stares at seunghwan before giggling.

"oh, your bracelet!" y/n comments, holding out his wrist so that seunghwan can take the bracelet he'd given to him a few episodes ago.

seunghwan stares at his wrist for a moment before shaking his head, smiling. "keep it, it'll be your good luck charm".

"a good luck charm?"

"unless you want me to kiss you again for good luck—"

"okay, stop, someone might see" y/n blocks seunghwan's attempt of kissing him once again, which makes the older boy pout.

"i don't think they'd be surprised".

"okay, shut up".

seunghwan snorts, letting go of y/n's hand as he makes it towards the door, he gives him that signature smile once again. "do well, y/n! i'll be voting for you!"

y/n chuckles as seunghwan winks at him. "i'll see you next week".

ricky always acted like he was some kind of player, stealing hearts everywhere he was going. even though most people were attracted to him, he was far from the playboy persona he was promoting.

when you started dating, you expected him to be straightforward and initiate most the skinship...

however, it was not the case. in fact, ricky was a bit shy about it. to be fair, he was only 18, and didn't have many partner before dating you. because of that, he was scared of doing things the wrong way. that's the reason why he would rather let you initiate things like that.

your relationship was still fresh, you were only two weeks in, so that could explain why neither of you dared to kiss the other. but that day, ricky felt different than the others. he couldn't explain it. maybe it was the way the sun hit your pretty face the right way, or the outfit you were wearing that suited you too good. maybe it was the fact you prepared that whole picnic and you thought of buying strawberries because you know it was his favorite.

ricky wasn't used to be spoiled by the people he loves. most of the time, it was the other way around. but now that you did something for him, he felt a different type of warmness in his chest.

seunghwan saw this situation as his chance, if God decided to turn in his favor, this could be the moment he finally confessed to you. he started to pray in his head.

seunghwan felt like a mastermind. what could possibly go wrong?

you and him were sharing the same friend group for years, and since the beginning of your friendship, it actually.... never felt like a friendship. call him cliche or whatever, for him, it was love at first sight. he knew he'll love you the first time you talked to him. he got to know you better and realized you were everything he was looking for, in a friend as much as in a lover.

now call him cocky, he knew for sure that the feeling was mutual. the way you'd giggle when he would say you look good, the smile and the red cheeks you tried to hide whenever he would jokingly introduce himself to strangers as your boyfriend, the handshakes where you would let your hand in his longer than it should... seunghwan was sure you loved him back.

it was getting late, and a smaller group of people were sat in a corner of the living room, having fun with the childish game of spin the bottle. you were there, next to your friend xiaoting, and seunghwan was in front of you. for the moment, none of you have been chosen for the game, only observing and joking with the people there.

"hey! how about the next people chosen by the bottle play 7 minutes in heaven?" proposed xiaoting.

"what's that?" asked gyuvin.

"well, we, i mean the bottle chooses two people that will spend 7 minutes together in a dark enclosed place."

"sounds more like 7 minutes in hell, why would you be alone with someone alone in a small and dark place and..... oh, okay, i get it" said woongi.

if seunghwan thought the game was a bit stupid at first, he quickly changed his mind. if he never confessed to you properly, despite giving you plenty of signals, it's not because he didn't have the guts to do so... he just never found the moment to. you were rarely alone, and each time you were alone with him, it was just not the right moment for him to open his heart. but this! if seunghwan had 7 minutes of his time alone with you in a small place, what will he do other than confessing? that was the perfect plan! (if someone ever confess to me in this situation i think i'll hit them bcz wtf) (but listen at this point seunghwan is desperate)

the bottle first chooses him. he sent you a look, that you didn't catch, lost in your thoughts hoping he will not end up with someone else. however, xiaoting did catch that look and knew it was her time to be a hero.

a shocked look on her face, she pointed her finger at something in the crowd.

"hey! what the hell is junhyeon doing? look at this!"

she didn't expect that to work, but it did, the people with you all turned their eyes towards that non-existent scene and she quickly stopped the bottle to make it point at you.

"oh! seems like we got our lucky pair." declared xiaoting

"y/n! you're going in with seunghwan. now, that's funny..." added woongi.

seunghwan got up first, taking your hand to help you get up as well. xiaoting took the mission of leading you guys to a closet big enough for you two to fit in. before you got in, xiaoting gave you a death glare. "y/n if you mess up all my hard work..."

finally, the door closed, leaving you two in the dark, your bodies so close that they were almost touching.

"hm. isn't it funny that we ended up there?", said seunghwan as a conversation starter.

"i think xiaoting is responsible for this but i don't blame her. i'm glad it's you".

seunghwan softly laughed, making you smile as well. the only source of light was the one that could get in from the corner of the door, but it was enough for seunghwan to see your face a bit.

"i wanted it to be you as well." said seunghwan.

"yeah, you better not want someone else for this.", you scoffed.

seunghwan took this as his sign that it was the right time to have the conversation. he smirked, and you could hear his smile in his voice.

"yeah? why? you wouldn't like it if i wanted to go there with someone else?"

"don't ask."

"why?"

"because you already know why i wouldn't like it."

"no, i don't know. tell me, y/n."

"well, it's just that way. would you be happy if someone else was here with me?"

he answered your question, telling you you were right. he would not be happy about it. hesitantly, he sneaked his arms around your waist to pull you closer. it was not the first time he did that, but now, the atmosphere was more serious so he didn't want to rush you. you let your head rest on his chest, and it encouraged him to continue.

"do you want me to tell you why i wanted it to be you?" he said in a whisper.

"hm, tell me" you responded, turning your head to look at his face, your chin resting on his chest this time. he look at you in the eyes, losing the meaning of words for a second, before regaining his composure.

"because you're not mine yet, and if you went with someone else, i was afraid you might slip through my fingers."

"if it wasn't you, i wouldn't have play the game." you assured him.

"why?"

"somehow, i'm unofficially already yours."

seunghwan tried to hold back his smile from getting wider, simply kissing the top of your head as you smiled back.

"i love you. i'm sorry it took so much time for me to finally tell you, but i really do love you."

your hands went to his face, caressing gently his cheeks with your thumb. your eyes met his, locked together for a few seconds, before your lips got attracted like it was natural to his own. his heart started racing as he couldn't focus on anything else than you, kissing you back with eagerness. it was his first kiss with you, and despite all the scenarios he made in bed before sleeping, he never thought it would happen like that. but he was so happy about it, it was better than all that he ever imagined.

zhang hao is simply a very direct man. where ricky was fighting his inner demons to know if he could kiss you, i feel like zhang hao would naturally feel if you were comfortable enough to do it yet.

the thing was, zhang hao wasn't against pda. he could hold your hands, he could hug you, but he was just not the type to kiss in public.

it was only a few week since you started dating, and you never kissed yet because you just haven't seen each other a lot indoors. most of your dates were outside, so since your boyfriend was uncomfortable with it, it never happened.

that day, zhang hao was practicing at the company with the other trainees. you two texted this morning, and he told you he was going to be there until late at night. proud of how hardworking he was, you decided you'd grab lunch for zhang hao and his teammates.

you knocked on the practice room door, and when you heard zhang hao telling you you could come in, you opened the door. you were met by faces you didn't know, and your boyfriend in shock.

"y/n??"

"the one and only!"

he jogged toward you to greet you with a hug, asking you what you were doing here.

"i know you guys are here for the whole day so i thought it'd be a good idea to bring you food."

the younger boys, yujin and ollie gasped at the mention of food while the other guys thanked you properly.

"hao! i think you should kiss them as a thank you" said ollie in a teasing tone as you gave the boys the bags you brought. yunseo hit the younger one in the arm, gesturing him to shut up. "what?? he's their boyfriend after all, why wouldn't he kiss them?"

zhang hao started to feel a bit embarassed meanwhile you laughed at ollie's teasing remarks.

"eat well! i'm gonna have to go."

zhang hao followed you to the door, opening it for you. you thought he would simply go back to his members to eat, but he followed you in the corridor, out of the practice room. he took your hand to have your attention.

"hum? is there a problem?" you asked.

without a word, zhang hao looked around to make sure it was only the both of you. when the verification was done, he pulled you closer to him by the hand he was still holding. before you could react, he leaned in to connect your lips together. it wasn't long, but it was enough for a warmth to blossom in your chest and your cheeks to turn red.

"can i come over after practice? i'll give you a proper 'thank you' kiss."

maybe ollie's teasing wasn't that bad.

what a good day for park hanbin. for the first time in a while, his best friend, you, where at his place for a sleepover. the occasion used to be a regular event before you two got into college, meaning you had less time to spend together.

but it was not only about the time. in fact, you were deliberately trying to spend less time with him. for a few years now, you started to see your best friend in a different light. you were sick of the one-sided feelings you had for him, and realized college might be the solution for you to avoid him a bir in order to let your feelings die down.

little did you know, your feelings were mutual, but you were trying to shut them down by dating other people, convinced he didn't like you back. laying shoulders to shoulders on his bed, you ranted to him.

"so that date didn't went good", concluded hanbin.

"not at all."

"see, it always go sour when they try to kiss you. do you have a problem with it particularly?"

so turned so you could face him. "hanbin."

he turned as well, facing you too. "y/n".

"can i tell you a secret?"

"of course."

"well, i didn't have my first kiss yet."

"what ??"

hanbin jumped up, now sitting on the bed. you sat as well, embarassed.

"you're kidding me right??"

"i'm not! i never kissed someone, the action just freaks me out!"

"but you had a boyfriend for like... two weeks!"

"i know but i told you i didn't like him that much..."

"what blocks you exactly?"

you looked away, trying to find an answer quickly. the truth was you couldn't kiss anyone because your feelings were still for hanbin. how could you give away your first kiss to someone you don't even like?

"i don't want to embarass myself, you know. i don't know how to kiss someone, so it will probably be awful. plus, i can't give my first kiss to anyone, it has to be a special someone."

"special? what do you mean by special?"

"someone i'm close to, you know? like... like you."

hanbin felt his cheeks getting warmer, so he turned his face to make sure you wouldn't see him blushing.

"well... you know... maybe i could teach you, then."

"teach me?" you repeated, not sure you understood.

"okay that sounds stupid. but if you're afraid of being a bad kisser, i can teach you how to be a good one. you'll have your first kiss with me, someone special to you, and so... it'll be easier for you to kiss other people afterwards."

he didn't like the end of his idea and neither did you. however, it was still a good idea, you thought. you would learn how to kiss, you would have your first one with someone special, and you would kiss hanbin above all.

"...that do sounds stupid but i think it's a good idea."

"for real?"

"yeah... i'd rather give you my first kiss."

hanbin bit the inside of his cheek in order not to smile. you both stayed sat on the bed as he came closer to you. you two shook hands to conclude your contract.

Sometimes you wonder why the cute boy, who you sometimes catch watching you stretch before practice, never tries to talk to you. It’s not that you’re assuming anything. It just happens that he looks your way a lot. And yes, you do notice it. Maybe he thinks he’s subtle but he really isn’t.

You haven’t been in the dance club for very long. While you’ve been trying different styles since you were little, your first year of university was a whirlwind, living away for the first time, getting used to classes, going to MTs and festivals, joining the organisations that your sunbaes recommended. It left you little time, if any, to look for a studio where you could practise your beloved hobby.

Luckily, one of your sunbaes introduced you to the dance club, open to all majors and exactly the thing you were looking for. 

“Okay everyone, from the top.”

You’ve been grouped up with Seo Won, Kim Dayeon, Cha Woongki and Seo Youngeun for a cover of (G)I-DLE’s Tomboy, one of the performances that regularly made up the repertoire for the club’s end of the semester showcase. The last time this song was performed had been legendary, led by now graduate students Shen Xiaoting, Zhang Hao and senior Sung Hanbin when they were in their first and second years. So yes, you had very large shoes to fill.

From the other side of the room, Seunghwan is definitely not watching the way you move your hips. Someone smacks the back of his head. He spins around only to see Chen Jianyu walking casually to his spot, the graduate student shrugging in response.

“I know you like them but can we do less staring at their ass and more practising please hyung.”

“I’m not staring at their ass.”

Seunghwan hisses at Lee Jeonghyeon who just looks back at him, unimpressed.

“Sure hyung.”

Mun Junghyun chimes in because Seunghwan gets zero respect from any of his dongsaengs these days. As if on cue, Junhyeon decides to chime in at that very moment.

“So should we do it like this? Or…” He demonstrates a bit of choreography before realising what kind of conversation he walked into.

“Oh was Seunghwan-hyung staring at- mmmph.” Seunghwan hurriedly shoves a hand over the other’s mouth because Junhyeon has no sense of volume control about 80% of the time, now being one of those times.

“Junhyeon-ah.”

“Mhmmph?”

“Do me a favour and please shut up.”

“Hmmmhmph.”

With that, Seunghwan finally lets go because Junhyeon can’t speak in muffled gibberish forever and also they actually needed to practise. Junhyeon stares at him but doesn’t say anything. It’s finally quiet. Actually, it’s a little too quiet. 

Seunghwan realises that the music from your group’s speaker cut out and he’s confronted by the magnificently judgemental stare of Cha Woongki while he calmly sips his water. Seo Won looks a little too entertained and the girls give him knowing looks. Luckily for him, you’re busy monitoring your practice on someone’s phone.

“That was great, hyung.” Junghyun decides to say because of course he does.

“Very subtle.” Jeonghyeon adds. Seunghwan swears they’re the devils.

“Is he confessing now or are we starting practice?” Jianyu asks because even the eldest won’t give Seunghwan a break.

“The new choreo please, Junhyeon-ah.” 

Seunghwan is tired.

“Seunghwan-sunbae’s just shy.” Youngeun justifies.

“Well I think he’s being a pussy.” Woongki declares, all of you gasp, including the ahjumma who’s about to take your orders. Dayeon offers her an apologetic look and asks for extra rice for the stew you ordered.

“Don’t call him names when we aren’t even sure if he likes me.”

“Oh he definitely likes you babe, he just needs to grow some balls and confess, Won-hyung and I have money on him cracking by the interim check.”

“Sunbae!” Seo Won’s unfazed, calmly thanking the ahjumma who’s brought steaming bowls of kimchi jjigae and rice to the table.

“I bet on the pre-final performance.” Dayeon says, grabbing some rice.

“Oh same.” 

“I- wait how many people bet on this??”

“I dunno, like the whole dance club?”

“Eh???”

Seunghwan can’t believe he’s doing this.

“I can’t believe he’s finally doing it.”

“He is?”

“Yep.” Three voices say at the exact same time. Seunghwan throws a dirty look at his traitorous group members. Seriously, he needs better friends.

Junhyeon pats him on the shoulder ceremoniously, looking way too solemn for this.

“You can do it, hyung, I believe in you.”

The younger boys sounds so sincere that Seunghwan’s almost touched.

“Don’t fuck it up, hyung.”

Nevermind. 

It’s the interim check. Nothing too serious. Just the whole club getting together to check everyone else’s performances out and give tips. Definitely. And because Junhyeon loudly volunteers them to go first, they’re going first. Fuck.

Here’s something Seunghwan learned from letting Junhyeon lead their choreography. He’s actually pretty fucking good. They’re in sync, all their moves are sharp and on beat and he even gives everyone a small part in the centre where they can show off their strengths. Then, they get to the freestyle part.

So here’s another thing Seunghwan learned from letting Junhyeon lead their choreography. He’s also pretty fucking good at incorporating the stupidest ideas and getting everyone to agree to them. Case in point, what Seunghwan is about to do now as he puts on the stupid meme shades that Junhyeon had convinced the whole group to wear.

He’s front and centre, grooving to the beat and looking at where you’re sitting near the front with the other dancers covering Tomboy. Seunghwan takes a deep breath and with his whole chest, yells out your name and then says:

“GO OUT WITH ME!!”

The whole club goes wild, hooting and then cheering when you stare at him with wide eyes before nodding. Seunghwan swears his cheek muscles are going to collapse from how hard he’s smiling. They wrap up the dance without a hitch and immediately his members are descending upon him, yelling their congratulations.

On your part, well you get a grand total of thirty seconds to comprehend what just happened before Woongki announces your group is going next and bodily dragging you with him. You suddenly remember what you had agreed to do for the interim check.

“I mean he confessed already so-”

“You’re doing it, babe.” Woongki cuts in, leaving no room for protests.

Seunghwan thought he wasn’t prepared to confess today. What he really wasn’t prepared for was you sauntering over to him during your freestyle section (the infamous la la part), hips swaying as you proceed to drop it low while everyone freaks out, him included.

After that, Seunghwan can no longer say that he wasn’t staring at your ass. Woongki and Seo Won make a shit ton of money from the betting pool that had been going. And you? Well the cute boy, who you sometimes catch watching you stretch before practice, did more than just talk to you. And that’s the story of how Lee Seunghwan eventually became your boyfriend.

How would seunghwan react when he's jealous?

seunghwan being jealous:

• okay so i can see this going one of two ways

• either he’s extremely jealous and possessive of you

• or he’s so confident in your relationship that he thinks it’s hilarious when other guys flirt with you

• i really can’t tell with him

• if it’s the first scenario i definitely do not want to be the guy who’s flirting with you

• because it’s not going to end well…

• *if looks could kill*

• he’d get really provocative with the guy and basically try to piss him off

• he’s also the type that would definitely get into a fight because of you, if he feels like he needs to defend you

• on the other hand i could see him being amused by the fact that someone is trying to flirt with you

• because he knows the guy doesn’t stand a chance

• so he finds it kinda funny watching the guy embarrass himself, knowing you’re his girl/boy

• i feel like he could be in both of these scenarios depending on how he feels that day and what exactly the other guy is doing

• but generally i see him leaning more towards the possessive/jealous type

• the one thing i’m sure of at the end of the day is that he always wants to make sure you’re happy and safe
