“Fuck, you can’t just leave us like that.” Jungkook exclaims. “Well. Be quicker you idiot.” “We aren’t fast like you are, mr. speedy!” Jimin shouts, out of breath. Jungkook looks back at Jimin for a quick second. Before motioning a quick fuck you and running back to base. A sigh escapes Jimin, before he dashes to the speeding Jungkook. “Bro, what took you guys this long?” The dark hair replied with slight annoyance. “A face like this hyung, is worth being late to.” Jungkook replied, enthusiastically. “Just because you look handsome, doesn’t mean you can come into base late.”  “Relax, party pooper, this isn’t costing us anything above our lives.” Jungkook spoke with a playful tone.

As they sat down to their seats, an alarm could be heard ringing through the room. Scaring them all into their fighting positions. “Holy fuck. What was that ringing? That practically scared me.” The tall one responded, breathing heavily. “Calling all Bangtan! Calling all Bangtan! Do you hear me loud and clear?” “Who is this, and how have you hacked into our intercom system!” Jimin shouts with no intention of being nice to whoever hacked their intercom system. “This is your boss speaking, sorry for the voice changer there. I must’ve left it on by accident.” “Boss! Don’t scare us like that next time, we almost literally fought someone over it.” Hoseok snaps, not in the mood for any silly shit.

“Boys, let's get back into business shall we?” Boss replied, eager to give them their secret mission. “Boss, did you change something about you? Because you look so different today, like I can’t put my finger on it, quite honestly.” “Now, Jin, let’s get back on track shall we.” In the background, a faint voice of someone else could be heard, but no response. “Boys, men, I’d like for you to meet the boss of the Running Man team. Go Dong Wan.” Boss signals a slight indication for Dong Wan to come forward. Dong Wan bows before initiating his hello. “Hello, Bangtan team, I’m Go Dong Wan. The boss of Running Man. And you just might be wondering what I am doing here with your boss.” “YES! We were wondering what you were here for.” Jin shouts, hopping in his seat. “But for now, I’ll let your boss take over the mission introduction.” “As you guys, might have not noticed but, for this mission. You’ll be partnering up with the Running Man team for this mission. In a second or two, a mission card will pop out for you guys to read. And for this mission, we will be taking it both our style and Running Man’s style.

“Once you've read the mission, you must go and find the Running Man team.” “Now off you go!” Boss shouts before the intercom shuts off. As the intercom shuts off, a card is seen being flipped from the table. Jin rushes to grab the card, and clears his throat before reading it out loud. “Dear Bangtan team, it is your mission to find the Running Man team. And go to XX base and find the Running Man team.” “Wait Jin, check the back of the card, it could have what their logo looks like.” Jimin eagerly says. “You’re right. Their logo might be at the back of this card.” Jin turns the card around, and to his behold. There was a big R logo engraved in yellow, that seemed to be their logo. “Okay guys, this might be their logo.” “Now all we gotta do is go to this area, and just scout for some R logo in yellow and presto. And then we found them.” Jin says mapping out his perfect idea.

“Sounds cool to me.” “Same.” A chorus of agreement’s could be heard from the room with Jin’s plan. “Now guys, let’s go. No time to waste with this mission.” “Yes, sir.” Yoongi said, saluting his hands up like it was military training. While they were going to the vehicles, Hoseok thought of something. “Wait! Pause guys.” Everyone looked at the dark hair with confused looks painted on their face. “There are 7 people here, correct?” Confused stares continue to paint their faces.  “Answer the question. Am I correct?” “YES!” All of them shout. “Bro, what is this even about?” Jin asks clueless with what he’s even trying to say. “So, you see that we’re 7 people, but what about the Running Man team? We are just 7 people, and they’re like 7 or 8 people. Which we won’t fit in all 1 vehicle.” “You’re right, we should probably split up into 3 or 4 vehicles to ensure the best for us and the safety of everyone.” Yoongi agrees with the Hoseok response to this.

“Jin, you go with Hoseok. Jungkook, with Jimin, I’ll go with Namjoon. And Yoongi, you'll go alone.” says Taehyung, commanding like he was just reciting a lyric. “Sounds cool to me.” Jungkook says. “I don’t want to take up most of our precious time, so let’s go.”

While Taehyung was talking to them, Yoongi had some doubts about this mission. He had thought of what if this mission was like a set up, and that there could be a possible spy from their side pretending to be a spy for someone secret that nobody knows about and is just using us all. But he didn’t want to jump that far to conclusion, because that’s a far stretch for something that didn’t even start officially yet.

While they were so focused on the mission, unknowingly without realizing, someone was secretly watching them. Aware that they could be discovered at any moment. They watched carefully as Bangtan spoke, trying to pick out every detail so they could report back to their boss. But soon, their conversation ended, and Bangtan began to depart to the disclosed area. One thing, the person could tell was that, what they’re holding is something that can injure someone badly.

But they don’t have time to be pointing at everything. Bangtan has. They’re required to do their mission, not goof off and upset their boss. There’s probably a camera outside, documenting their every move. Thus if the boss is upset, then that is not a pretty sight to see. They must rush back to base, and will have to text the boss back all the details they saw and heard. Considering how much was just wasted.

They nervously composed their report to their boss, wondering if what they noted down was a success. Had they found what the boss was looking for? Was the information they gathered enough? With a final deep breath,they waited with bated breath, their heart pounding in their chest. What would their boss's reaction be? Would they be happy with the information they'd gathered? With a trembling hand, they finished their report and hit 'send', hoping for a good response. But the best they could do now, was go back to base and wait on the next mission to do in secret.

“You know, usually I have good feelings about the missions we do. But I got a bad feeling about this mission. That I don’t even know was possible to feel before even getting what we’re supposed to do with Running Man.” “Jin, I think we shouldn’t place our guards up this high. This  is Running Man, for fuck sake. It’s not like they’re just gonna have some spy that nobody knows about.” Hoseok replied, thinking that Jin is silly for thinking that there would ever be some spy. “But,” “No buts Jin, just fucking get us to the area with no dumb thoughts like these next time.” “Fine..” Jin sighs.

“For your information, Hoseok, I literally have been driving us to this area. And we’re literally 10 minutes away from being there.” Jin scoffs, rolling his eyes. “Don’t care, your idea is stupid and should be never said again. This is Running Man, we’re talking about, not some fuck delusional bitch.”

“Whatever.” Jin grumbles. As they pulled up to the driveway of this area, they noticed something odd about it. But couldn’t place their fingers onto it. Yet they didn’t expect for there to be a whole staff and camera crew there waiting. “Holy shit, I was not expecting there to be this many people here. Like I know that there’s a lot of staff and camera crew for Running Man. However this many people. Who knows what could happen.

“Jin, just act serious, they’ll never know our facial expression truly.” Hoseok whispers in a hushed tone. “You’re right. They won’t truly know what I'm feeling at the moment.”

While they walked inside the area, it felt so cozy, even though it wasn’t supposed to feel cozy. It was probably only cozy as they would be working with us, and wanted to make the area as homey as much as it could get.

“I see that you’ve made it, I would be assuming Jin and Hoseok if I’m correct on your guys' names.” Jaesuk points out. “I’m guessing you’re the leader of Running Man'' Jin looked Jaesuk dead in the eyes. “It would be so that I am the leader of Running Man, I’m Yoo Jaesuk and known to be a grasshopper. It is a pleasure to meet you Jin and Hoseok.”

“Man! Just introduce us to Bangtan, Jaesuk.” A shout heard so loud, it could practically scare you into a shock. Namjoon, looks behind Jaesuk, to see 8 other people behind him.

“Ah, I’m terribly sorry for that scream that you just heard from that one.” Jaesuk glares back at him and turns back.

“No worries man.” “But who may be behind you?” Namjoon raises his eyebrow looking intensely at them. “These are the rest of Running Man, that shout you just heard, was our esteemed fearless tiger also known as Kim Jongkook.” Jaesuk pointing at Jongkook. In Jungkook’s mind, he’d already estimated that Jongkook was not someone to mess around with, 1 mistake and his life is on the line.

“The tall and pretty but ugly one over there is Lee Kwangsoo, our quickly sensitive giraffe.” “Hyung! I'm not that sensitive. You’re quite literally embarrassing me in front of them.” Kwangsoo barks back at Jaesuk for his so-called uncool comment on him. “All right, all right, I’ll tone it down for you.” Jaesuk resumed introducing the rest of the crew to Bangtan.

“Our big nose over there or impala Ji suk jin, is our slow to catch on guy.” “Woo sa! Yo I’m Ji suk-jin, ignore them calling me that. I am clearly the fastest to catch onto things.”

“Clearly you’re not, but moving on!” “Our couple over there is Kang Gary and Song Jihyo.” “They always like to jab at each other with coupley things, it’s like a love sickening plague.” Jaesuk pretended to be grossed out at that thought.

“Ya! You want to be hit or what?” “Okay, relax there Jihyo, let’s not show our guests any hits.” “Fine..” Jihyo huffs. Before Jihyo had returned to her spot, she had whispered to Jaesuk about something. “We’re told that they were our guests, but just keep quiet for now.” Jaesuk whispered in a hushed tone to reveal nothing that could alarm Bangtan.

“Is there something going on that we don’t know of?” Yoongi looks at them with suspicious intention. “There’s nothing to fret. She was just telling me a joke, that’s all. But I'm suddenly tired.” “Something doesn't feel right Namjoon.” Jin whispered to Namjoon “It’s like when Yoongi asks Jaesuk a question, he’s suddenly tired.” “Something is odd, but for now, just pretend everything is perfectly fine. Until we know more answers.” He whispers back to Jin.

“Okay fake it until things start slowly coming together.”

Yoongi's next guest is Lee Sung Kyung, She appeared in Cheese in the Trap (2016), Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016), Dr Romantic 2 (2020) & Dr Romantic 3 (2023).

All normal stuff for a chat show until you hear how they talk to each other. It's obvious that they know each other well. They are part of the same friend group (the subtitles call them Suga's cheering squad) with Suga being the baby of the group. The baby that the group thinks should take up acting!!!!!!!!

So who are the older members of this mysterious friend group? Of course it's difficult to get reliable and up to date information from an internet search but Lee Sung Kyung is said to be good friends with her Cheese in the Trap co-star Kim Go Eun.

Her friendship with Lee Jong Suk has also been commented upon many times in the media. He even made a cameo in her show Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.

Lee Jong Suk and IU were outed as a couple by Dispatch in December 2022. They had been friends for years but had apparently only been dating a few months at the time. I'm not sure of the current status of their relationship but let's assume they are still together.

And as we know there is a direct relationship between IU and Suga. They bicker like siblings and have a shared commitment to making good music.

So I'm imagining Suga out on the town with Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Go Eun, Lee Jong Suk and IU. We could maybe throw in IU's mate Yoo In Na and Lee Jong Suk's mate Kim Woo Bin and that's a dinner party I'd really like to attend.

[TRANS] Last Fantasy Album and Song Introductions

ALBUM INTRODUCTION

IU, who filled the whole world with ‘Good Day’ last year, is finally coming back with a new album for her fans. IU's new album [Last Fantasy] is a full-length album that she has released 2 years after her 1st album [Growing Up] and this album was produced by Cho Young-chul, who created the ‘IU Syndrome’ last year. Producer Cho Young-chul focused on approaching and expressing IU's musicality in more diverse ways through this album.

The meaning behind the title of the new album, [Last Fantasy], is that the album depicts all the thoughts, imaginations, and fantasies of IU as she looks upon the beginning of her 20s, in this moment at the end of her teenage years and the album contains various sides of IU that music fans want from her through her songs. This 2nd full-length album, which contains a total of 13 songs, attracts much attention with the participation of the best musicians and composers in Korea. Musicians who need no further explanation, including Kim Kwang-jin, Yoon Sang, Jung Jae-hyung, Lee Juck, Kim Hyung-seok, Jung Suk-won, Kim Hyun-chul, Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Min-soo, Corinne Bailey Rae, G. Gorilla, and Ra.D, all participated in IU's full-length album.

As this is IU’s first full-length album in a long time, she put in all her efforts and sincerity from many different angles, to make the album more perfect. In addition to putting her own self-composed song on the album, IU participated in writing the lyrics for a number of songs, showing a more mature side to her musical sensibility and carefully considered what the right tone would be for each song, as she did her best to improve the completion of the album.

First of all, the first track, ‘Secret’, is the work of composer Jung Suk-won, showing intense charm as a song that opens the door to IU’s second full-length album. Featuring an arrangement that emphasizes a clear story development and contrast, the song begins with IU's clear tone and a lyrical melody, then develops gradually with vocals that become more powerful and the grand sound of rock opera. Standing at the center of the song, IU showed powerful vocals that led all the music with her. The second track, ‘Sleeping Prince’, is the work of Yoon Sang, a composer who brought out IU's deep emotions with ‘Only I Didn't Know’. This song, which was brought to life again with an innocent charm that only IU can show, allows the listener to experience clear and bright emotions as if one were watching a fairytale. Just like how composer Yoon Sang felt that it was fortunate that IU sang this song when she was a teenager, IU's cute vocals and the warm arrangement meet to produce this high-quality song.

The third track, ‘Holding a Star in My Heart’ is a song by Kim Kwang-jin that conveys a deep sound that cannot be described with words. IU's vocals that sound like she is calmly reciting the song, together with the slow-flowing melodies, give a comforting feeling and Kim Kwang-jin's voice at the end of the song is touching to hear. The song, infused deeply with composer Kim Kwang-jin’s unique emotions, appeals to different generations. The fourth track, ‘YOU&I’, the title track of this second full-length album, is a collaboration between composer Lee Min-soo and lyricist Kim Eana, who created ‘Good Day’, and conveys IU's diverse emotions and upgraded musicality. ‘YOU&I’ is a song that once again showcases the charm of IU's vocals, with a mysterious and strange concept of a teenage girl who travels through time into the future. With a composition that crosses minor and major chords, a musical arrangement that stands out with its colorful and fantasy-like feeling of real sound using instruments rarely found in pop songs such as harp and horn, the song also allows you to experience IU's diverse vocal expression ability.

The fifth track, ‘Wallpaper Pattern’ is the work of composer Yoon Jong-shin, which shows IU's subtle emotions. It is a song that combines lyrical melodies with IU's warm tone and IU's interpretation of the song stands out as she perfectly interprets poetic lyrics that express ordinary emotions experienced in our daily lives. In particular, composer Jung Suk-won participated in the arrangement, giving it a more detailed sound. IU's song of encouragement for all the uncles in the world! The sixth track is ‘Uncle’ with composer Lee Juck. This song was completed with a discussion between IU and Lee Juck and IU's ‘aegyo’ (cute) tone captures the hearts of uncles along with the bouncy melody of the song. Lee Juck's rap made by IU's forced(?) request and IU's shout-out to her uncles are highlights to pay attention to in the song.

‘Wisdom Tooth’ is the work of composer G.Gorilla, who is loved by fans for his unique emotions, and is a song about the heart of a girl who suffered the heartache of her first love. As it is her first love, IU participated in writing the lyrics, to express more strongly the heartache from the perspective of a teenager in a pure and fun way and IU actually wrote the lyrics of the song after talking to her mother, expressing her honest feelings. ‘Everything's Alright’, the eighth track with a fast tempo and exciting feeling, is the work of composer Kim Hyun-chul. The song, which depicts the cold atmosphere of fighting with a lover, brings out that atmosphere by combining the warm sound of the actual performance and the harmony of IU and composer Kim Hyun-chul, who also featured in the song, and has a charm to it that leaves a lasting impression.

The ninth track, ‘Last Fantasy’, is the work of composer Kim Hyung-suk, and sounds even larger in scale than you would imagine a movie soundtrack to sound like. This song, which contains the grandeur of the 50-member orchestra, is a grand song that lasts more than six minutes and overwhelms its listeners. It is an impressive song that expresses IU's present state at the end of her teenage years with lyrics that ask someone to hold her hand so that she doesn’t fall into her dream when she opens the door to reality. The tenth track, ‘Teacher’ is by composer Ra.D, which IU also participated in writing the lyrics for. It is a song customized for IU from the start and a lot of time was invested in writing the lyrics to include all kinds of thoughts and concerns that 19-year-old IU had. The calm acoustic sound and emotional vocals of IU and Ra.D are combined to complete the charming song.

The eleventh track, ‘The Abandoned’, is a self-composed song written by IU. ‘The Abandoned’, which gives the feeling of a deep darkness, is a song that IU has worked on for a long time, and goes contrary to the bright side of herself that she has shown so far. This self-composed song by IU brings out her deep inner emotions that we never imagined her to have, instilling another kind of expectation from her fans with regard to her potential. The twelfth track, ‘4AM’, is a song by British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae, with lyrics written by IU and the song was completed with a collaborative effort between the two. The lyrics draw attention with their depiction of the unstable emotions at 4 a.m. and IU's deep vocals that she has not shown before allows the song leave an impression on the listener. IU sang this song by Corinne Bailey Rae, a musician she has said she loves the most since her debut, and that makes the song mean a lot to IU.

The finale of the full-length album, ‘L'amant’, is a song that allows the listener to experience the musical emotions of composer Jung Jaehyung as they are, through his work. IU’s mournful and thick vocals that flow through the sorrowful jazz melody add to the flair of the song. This song, which was fully completed with IU’s song interpretation ability, is a song that allows us to imagine the future of IU who shows that she can pull off a variety of genres. IU's second full-length album can be said to be a record that will remind the digital music generation of the ‘value of the album’ just by the team of participating musicians and the high quality of the songs. To be someone's proudest achievement was quite the honor, and Beau was, without question, Tadashi Hamada's. The Manager ~ Lee Jongsuk

Your smile widened as Hyunmoo suggested that the clips started to role, ready to show the cast of The Manager how your day had gone when they filmed your busy day.

“Right at the beginning,” Hyunhee grinned as the opening began with an overlook of your apartment, showing off plenty of the little bits that you had collected filming over the years.

“I’m pretty proud of that place,” you smiled as it flitted between every single room, “I feel like it’s a bit of a shrine sometimes to all of the jobs that I’ve had and the success that they’ve been too.”

You were prepared for a while as the camera panned between your living room, bedroom, office, and then to your bathroom, before focusing on the final room. As it did, the sound of humming could be heard before the camera lifted from the ground.

“Breakfast?” Jongsuk offered as he turned around to see you awake, sluggishly walking towards the dining table in the middle of the room. “I’ve started cooking if you’re hungry.”

Your head immediately nodded in reply, “that sounds like an absolute dream.”

As soon as Jongsuk appeared on the screen, the noise around the room picked up. “How come you never told us Jongsuk would be in this too?” Youngja jokingly scolded from across the table.

You shyly giggled in reply to her, trying your best to control your blushed cheeks. “It’s not that big of a deal,” you tried to downplay it, knowing full well that there was plenty of hysteria surrounding your newly publicised romance.

“Are we all going to be made to feel single watching this today?” Byungjae then sniggered from just beside you, “we all need a Jongsuk if he cooks you breakfast every day.”

“How’s your schedule for the day looking?” Jongsuk then asked you as the camera cut to a later scene with the two of you sat to breakfast. “I finish at five if you maybe want to meet up somewhere after work, head out for a walk or grab something to eat.”

“I’d like that,” you smiled in agreement, “I’m not sure what time the filming on set will finish though, maybe I could give you a text when I know?”

As yet another sweet scene played out, you found yourself sinking further down in your seat to try and take some of the attention off of you.

“Do we get to see you go to work at some point?” Euni grinned, nudging your side just to your left, admiring the expression that was on your face. “I love a good romance, but the two of you are sickeningly sweet, aren’t you?”

Despite the jokes coming from around the room, everyone knew that your fans would enjoy watching you both. They had been desperate to find out more ever since the two of you went public, haven’t watched the two of you act several times in romance dramas.

“What’s Jongsuk like as a partner Y/N? He seems to be pretty good from what we’ve seen?”

“He’s super chill,” you smiled in reply to Hyunmoo, trying your best not to seem too enthusiastic, “we just have a really good time when we’re together, and it helps having someone who always takes such good care of me too.”

“I might have to get him to cook me a meal sometimes,” Youngja interrupted.

You weren’t quite sure where to look as everyone continued to hype Jongsuk up, knowing that when the two of you eventually watched the episode on television together that he’d love everyone saying such nice things about him.

Most of all though, you knew that he would enjoy how flustered you were getting throughout the broadcast. Even as the scenes from your day at work began to play, the conversation still kept reverting back to Jongsuk and your relationship.

“You can tell Y/N’s eager to end the day to get in touch with Jongsuk.”

Your head shook as Byungjae pointed out your hand gripping tightly to your phone in between takes, desperate for the directors to yell cut for the day so that you could escape the set and enjoy the rest of your evening with Jongsuk.

It came as no surprise to anyone sat around the table that as soon as the director yelled cut, you were on the phone and texting Jongsuk. You were a mess watching the scene, barely able to watch it without wanting to turn around with embarrassment.

Hyunmoo especially loved watching the excitement that was on your face, “look how in love you are,” he remarked, pointing to how your eyes were glued to your phone.

It was only as you watched yourself back, you realised just how keen you were to hear from Jongsuk. At the time you felt like you were acting pretty normal, but as you studied yourself again, you felt like you were watching a character out of one of the romance dramas that you’d acted in.

“Are you done now?” Jongsuk asked as he rang you on set, “I’m in my car so I can swing by and come and pick you up rather than getting a random driver to give you a lift home in a taxi.”

“I don’t mind just walking home,” you tried your best to argue.

On the other end of the phone, Jongsuk let go of a sigh. “You’ve definitely not been outside in a while, it’s freezing Y/N, there’s no way that you’re walking home.”

“Alright,” you laughed, “let me know when you’re outside.”

“Just when you think he can’t get anymore adorable,” Hyunhee grinned, bouncing up and down in her seat, “it’s like he’s been moulded to fit a girl’s dreams for a boyfriend.”

You didn’t quite know what to say, still feeling quite a lot of the time as if you had to pinch yourself to realise that as you watched Jongsuk that he was actually your boyfriend and not someone else’s person instead.

“I’m so invested in your relationship,” Euni added, looking between the screen and you, “we could film a whole series on the two of you looking at how sweet you guys are.”

“We have our moments,” you assured him, “what the camera failed to pick up on earlier was the mess in my bedroom where he’d thrown all his clothes out to find the right outfit.”

The rest of the table all laughed as you tried your best to drop Jongsuk in it, making sure that everyone knew that he wasn’t as perfect as they thought he was.

“You guys will definitely have to come back on,” Hyunmoo told you as the footage finished with you getting into Jongsuk’s car, ready to drive home and enjoy the rest of your evening without the cameras following you around. “Are we allowed to ask how the rest of your evening went?”

“We just spent some time by the river, nothing too extravagant,” you responded.

It was enough to earn another chorus of coos from around the room, especially from Youngja who couldn’t help but be impressed by Jongsuk’s simple, yet romantic plans for you both.

“Next time you come, will you invite Jongsuk too?” She asked you, “and make sure that he sits opposite me too so that I can see him?”

“I’ll see what his schedule is like,” you promised her, “I’m sure once he’s seen this episode, he’ll want you guys to come back and show a day in his life too.”

“As long as we see the two of you together in it,” Byungjae noted.

“Promise,” you chuckled, looking around to each of them sat around the table, “I’ll make sure that we come back to you at some point.”

“And you promise to be as sweet as you’ve been today?”

“We’ll make sure that we try our best.”

“Don’t be so conceited,” you say with a laugh leaning over him to pick up your phone once more, “I should’ve known your modesty was an act, how could you not think you’re handsome?” You tease pressing a quick kiss to his cheek.

“I’m just reminding you that you have a top actor boyfriend,” he pouts rolling his eyes crossing his arms over his chest turning away from you, you let out a small laugh shaking your head before leaning against his side.

“How could I forget your name is everywhere in the news with Park Shinh-” his hand covers your mouth before you can finish her name.

“Don’t say it,” he separates each of his words, you let out a small laugh smiling when you pull his hand away from your mouth, “if I could just tell everyone I’m dating you I would, you know that,” he reminds, you hum again leaning your head against his shoulder.

“I told you, it doesn’t bother me,” you remind him, “so let me fangirl over your costars in peace,” you tease him.
