"hey... you know jangjun's been flirting with you this entire trip, right?"
joochan has settled onto the steps next to you, half-leaned forward as he tries to keep this between the two of you. you look at him over the rim of your sunglasses, glancing for just a second to where jangjun is getting ready to chop firewood. you realize way too quickly that joochan is entirely serious.
"what? no." you look at jangjun again, watching the over-exaggerated way he stretches, only to drop the act immediately when he sees he's caught your eye. he waves, you wave back, and your eyes meets the very unimpressed ones of joochan. "he's just being jangjun."
"really." his voice is flat and slightly annoyed. "he's been making a fool of himself all week."
"isn't that just jangjun?" you can't hide your smile, though: you like jangjun and how funny he is. but jangjun? flirting with you? you can't see it.
"he literally dedicated our meal to you last night--"
whatever joochan says next, you don't hear because you've caught the sight of jangjun with an axe in hand. with a swift swing, he splits the wood all too easily, and your heart leaps into your throat. joochan looks between the two of you for a moment, noticing that proud smile on jangjun's face that says he's succeeded in what he set out to do.
this is hopeless. you're both idiots. joochan gets up to leave you, and barely seconds later he can hear jangjun flirting with you again ("hey... you come here often?" "jangjun, we're literally on vacation together..."), and he fights the urge to roll his eyes. it'll take locking you two idiots in a room together for you to realize anything.
(maybe that'll be his next move. jangjun just did the fake "yawn and stretch and put-arm-around-other-person" trick and you're eating it up without a second thought. he'd rather you two be insufferable together than as oblivious idiots.)

“Detention it’ll be, Mr Hwang,” the potion professor glared, superficially rubbing his robes from nonexistent dust.
“But professor, I didn’t do it on purpose!”
“Maybe if you cared more about your surroundings… The kitchen, tomorrow after your last classes. And ten points deducted.”
“Isn’t that a little unfair?” pleaded Hyunjin.
“Complain again and I’ll double the points.” With a last deadly look, the professor went on his way and the Gryffindor ran to Quidditch practice. “Don’t run if you don’t want another detention!”
Hyunjin obliged and walked until the professor was out of sight. Then, he sprinted like his life depended on it. Arriving at the pitch, he put on his Quidditch robes, took his broom and joined his teammates in five minutes chrono.
“Sorry I’m late, I was going so fast that I slipped and hit an armor, and it made a sword fly in the air right on…”
“Hyunjin,” started Chan, the captain.
“Sorry, sorry.”
“Wait, I want to know if the sword flew on someone,” said Chan’s best friend and chaser.
“Yeah, the potion professor. I quickly pulled out my wand though and stopped it right before it hit him. I got detention anyway, in the kitchen tomorrow.”
“It’s alright, we don’t have practice tomorrow. Good luck, I heard from Felix that Pitts isn’t happy these days.”
“Thank you for your concern,” pouted the younger before leaving the ground.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
“It’s the third time this month that you forget your homework, Y/N Yoo. I’ll have to deduct five points from you and give you detention.”
“I understand and I’m sorry, professor,” you said as you looked down, rubbing your wrist.
“You can apologize to your House as well, tsk,” you heard a fellow Ravenclaw mutter behind you.
Lia, your friend and classmate, shook your arm gently to reassure you while glaring at the student.
She proposed many times to help you manage your homework and you thought that today was the final cue to accept. Damn your forgetfulness.
At the end of class, the herbology professor said your detention would be the next day after class, in the kitchen.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Hyunjin was drained from practice, he sprawled on the couch after a hot shower and a second later, Heejin, one of his classmates, sat elegantly next to him.
“Hyunjin, want to help me on my defence against the dark arts homework? I’m really bad at it.”
Hyunjin couldn't see all the efforts Heejin put in getting attention out of the boy. It wasn't his fault he wasn't interested. Nor was it his fault she wouldn't back down on her own. He just let her be.
“Same here, you should ask someone else. Eric, for example,” he answered without opening his eyes. Eric was one of his closest friends in Gryffindor.
“Then what about we go out after classes tomorrow? We could go to Hogsmea-”
“I got detention, won’t be able to.”
“Oh, that’s too bad. Then I’ll get detention too, to spend time with you!”
Hyunjin finally opened his eyes and looked at Heejin in disbelief. She was, on the other hand, smiling innocently and feeling happy he would show some kind of attention to her.
“Why would you… get detention on purpose…? Those are awful…”
“I can take it, don’t worry about me,” she winked and as she got up to leave, she flipped her hair.
Hyunjin could only frown but eventually believed she wasn’t serious and relaxed against the couch, his homework could wait a few more minutes.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
The next day, Hyunjin and Heejin got out of class at the same time.
“Let’s go to detention together!” she excitedly said as she tried to take his arm in hers but failed miserably because they were going different ways. “Where are you going?”
“The kitchen.”
Her face dropped. “What? I have to polish the trophy room, oh my god.”
“Isn’t the caretaker the one that oversees this detention? You better run if you don’t want to be late.” Hyunjin left, fearing to be late himself while Heejin cursed under her breath.
It goes without saying that she spent a terrible time polishing countless awards and trophies without magic along with a few other students.
You were slowly walking to the kitchen like a condemned, not looking where you were going, so you bumped into a taller frame two meters from the kitchen doors —meaning you walked past it. You lost your balance and almost fell over but Hyunjin caught your arms and helped you steady.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t looking straight,” you apologized looking at the person. Realizing it was Hyunjin, your eyes widened, you quickly freed yourself from his hold and entered the kitchen right away, but not without hearing him chuckle. There were two other students already.
“New students for tonight. Two of you can wash the floor while the other two make sandwiches,” Pitts, the house-elf responsible for the kitchen, ordered. The Gryffindor and the Slytherin rushed to the tables to start making sandwiches but got stopped by a yelling Pitts. “Wash your hands first!”
Hyunjin and you shared a glance, silently judging the students that unfairly chose for you, in your opinion.
A smiling house-elf came to you and Hyunjin with mops and buckets full of water and cleaning products. “You can use these, try not to wash too close to the fire over there, another student did that two days ago and put it out. Pitts wasn’t pleased at all.”
“Thank you,” you shot him a smile and went at the end of the place to start away, doing it as neat as you could.
“Then I’ll do the other side,” whispered Hyunjin to himself. He didn’t really know how to clean efficiently, but he did his best, tripping a few times.
While you were almost done an hour later, you realized Hyunjin was not even in the middle and three house-elves were on the floor, massaging their butts. The other students changed tables and went to your area of cleaning to avoid their shoes from being soaked. He kept apologizing to everyone but also didn’t stop his mistake. You quickly finished your part and joined him on the dry part of the floor, behind him.
“Hyunjin,” you called and watched him get startled with an apologetic smile, “you’re putting too much water, it’s never going to dry.”
“I’m sorry, I’ve never done this before.”
“It’s alright,” you assured. You didn’t learn any spell that could do the trick —yet— but you knew house-elves could do a lot. “Can you dry out this area, please?” you asked a house-elf next to you who happily obliged. “Thank you!” You turned to Hyunjin. “So, you need to wring it first before washing the floor, like that.” You showed him how it was done and he thanked you four times in a row.
“You’re welcome, I wasn’t expecting an ace of Quidditch to know that anyway.”
He was taken aback by your remark, not really understanding what Quidditch had to do with his lack of cleaning knowledge. He felt like you were nicer to the house-elves than himself and he found it intriguing.
“I get that you’re judging me from my popularity, a lot of people do, but—”
“Popularity? You think you’re popular?” you asked, crossing your arms and raising an eyebrow.
“Wait, wrong choice of word. I meant reputation.” You slowly nodded, motioning for him to continue. “Anyway, don’t let my reputation cloud your judgment about me, please.”
“Why do you care what I think about you?” You were confused now and uncrossed your arms.
“I—” he blushed, embarrassed. “I don’t know, you seem cool and I’d like to be your friend?”
It was your turn to be taken aback, never would you have thought this would happen.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Your back was sore from all the moping you had to do —the kitchen had the same dimensions as the Great Hall so it was really huge. You complained to Lia, who half listened and half focused on her homework. You were seated at a table in your common room.
“Do you need help for your potion homework? I just finished it. We also have to write two parchments on how to take care of a kneazle for care of magical creatures.”
You sighed loudly. “What would I do without you?”
“You could start by buying a planner and note your homework on it. Then do them.”
“Nope. I prefer having you,” you smiled tiredly.
The 7th year keeper of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team entered the common room, spotted you and came to kiss your forehead.
“Hi sugarplum. How are you? You look tired.”
“I am, I got detention in the kitchen for forgetting my homework thrice.”
“Could have been easily prevented, then, huh? Please do your homework properly. I’m sorry Lia,” he added.
“Oh, it’s alright, don’t worry,” she blushed. “I can do that for my best friend.”
“Okay, dad,” you put your thumb up, eyes half closed.
“Big brother would be enough,” he laughed and left you to join his friends.
“Taeyang is so sweet, you’re so lucky to have a brother like him. Plus he’s really handsome.”
“Wipe your saliva before anyone notices,” you mocked as you got a closer look at your homework. You decided that you won’t be forgetting to do your homework anymore, it was too tiring.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Eric sat next to Hyunjin in the Great Hall during dinner.
“I metamorphosed some library books into crows and the librarian didn’t find it as funny as me. I got detention with Heejin, we had to polish silver without magic. She was mad. She kept muttering she got detention for nothing because you weren’t even there.”
“Well that’s a good thing I wasn’t seeing your fingers.” They were full of bandages.
“Oh, that? No, it’s from the fanged flyers I sent in the courtyard earlier. They’re not easy to stop.”
Hyunjin shook his head and chuckled. “You’re unbelievable. Aren’t you tired of getting detention?”
“I’m having fun so it’s worth it. By the way, how was yours?”
“I learned how to mop the floor and Y/N was there.”
“Y/N? They’re from Ravenclaw, right?” Hyunjin nodded. “Did you talk?”
“Yeah, I asked them if we could become friends.”
Eric gasped dramatically. “What did they say?”
“Yes,” he rolled his eyes at his friend’s mocking behavior. “Eat your chicken and french fries before they disappear.”
Heejin, who wasn’t that far from the two friends, heard it all and wasn’t pleased by the news. She searched for you at your table and decided to put an end to this nonsense, starting by trying to burn a hole on your head —from the intense staring.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
You loved transfiguration, the art was beautiful and you appreciated your accomplishments after putting lots of effort into them, because it wasn’t easy, at all.
No matter how hard you were focusing on the hedgehog in front of you, you couldn’t make it into an acceptable pincushion. Yours still had the hedgehog’s spines while Lia's next to you, still had feet and even tried to flee. Both of you used the reparifarge spell and kept trying. At the end of class, Lia managed to make a perfect pincushion while you were… getting there.
“Hyunjin,” called your professor, “would you please tutor Y/N?” Hearing your name, you looked at her with wide eyes. Were you this bad? “I’m sorry,” she said to you,” but I’m afraid you won’t pass the exams if you can’t do this after a week.” By that, she meant three hours of class.
Hyunjin stopped next to you without you noticing, smiling and waiting for you to start packing your stuff. “I’ll do it professor.”
“Professor! I have trouble transfiguring this as well, could Hyunjin help me too?” you heard Heejin ask from the back of the room. Lia and Eric rolled their eyes in unison.
“How inconsiderate must you be to want your classmate to tutor two people at the same time? Chaewon, would you please tutor Heejin?” The Ravenclaw agreed with a smile and you got out of class with the hedgehog in your hands, avoiding Heejin’s glare, Hyunjin and Lia beside you.
“Do you want to practice now? Or after lunch?” As if to answer his question, Lia’s stomach growled. You were hungry as well.
“Let’s eat first and meet up in the courtyard,” you proposed.
“Good idea, I’m starving,” said Eric as he put an arm around Hyunjin’s shoulders. He shot Lia his best smile, which she answered with a smirk, before taking your arm and walking to the Great Hall, the boys following.
The hedgehog sleeping in your robe’s pocket, you were eating in front of Lia on the Ravenclaw table.
“Oh my god, she’s at it again,” she grumbled.
You followed her gaze and turned around to see Heejin next to Hyunjin, clearly overstepping his personal space. Eric’s smile, on the other side of his friend, was gone and he looked upset. Hyunjin was just ignoring her, trying to eat and talk to Eric.
You preferred focusing on your plate and that was the moment Jeongin chose to push Heejin gently and sit at her place. She was about to protest but one look from the 3rd year Gryffindor closed her mouth.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Lia and Eric went their way to let you and Hyunjin practice in peace.
“Do you have the image of the pincushion in your head?” You nodded. “Okay, try.”
You did, and the pincushion had a head.
“Damn it,” you cursed.
Hyunjin used reparifagex right away. “It’s alright, it took me a while too.”
Yeah, like an hour, you thought.
“Your wand movement seems a bit off, can you show me again?” You nodded and tried again, without using the spell. “Hm. Can I?”
“Sure.” Hyunjin moved so he was behind you, putting his hand over yours. His hand was warm, enveloping yours perfectly. It felt like the movements he made were fine, elegant even, compared to the ones you did earlier. “I think I got it,” you smiled, turning to him.
Hyunjin let go of you with a nod, watching you try yet again. The pincushion was perfect, fancy color and neat sewing. “Yes! You did it!”
“It’s all thanks to you,” you said, trying a few more times to turn the hedgehog into a pincushion, just to be sure you mastered it.
“It’s my pleasure.”
You thought accomplishing this was enough for the professor but no, she wanted Hyunjin to keep tutoring you until the end of term.
“I’m so sorry, I’m going to be such a burden,” you whined as you got out of class, massaging your temple with two fingers.
“Not at all, we get to spend time together.” You looked at each other and shyly smiled.
Your friends, in the back, were smirking at the sight.
“Soon,” Eric whispered to Lia and she nodded.
“I don’t think so,” whispered Heejin from behind them. If looks could kill…
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
The next day after dinner, you were in your common room, doing your homework with Lia as usual. An owl entered by an opened window and landed on your shoulder. You recognized Soren, Hyunjin’s owl, for seeing her a few times delivering him posts on mornings. She lifted her talon so you could take the letter and after doing so, she affectionately nibbled on your ear before leaving.
You opened the letter. It was short and, as expected, from Hyunjin.
Y/N,
Would you meet me in the courtyard right now? I know it’s late and you might have other things to do— but I have something to tell you. I hope you’ll come.
Hyunjin
“Are you going?” asked Lia after reading the letter from above your shoulder.
“Yeah, I’m not turning down on Hyunjin,” you started, putting your stuff in your bag. “See you later,” you waved at your friend and left the common room to go to the courtyard.
Once there, however, Hyunjin was nowhere to be seen. Instead, you were greeted by Heejin, arms crossed, a disgusted look on her face.
“I can’t believe you came. What do you think he would say to you?”
You were annoyed to be deranged by her of all people. And for what? You never did anything to her. Your eyes rested on her bandaged fingers.
“What did you do to your fingers?” you asked, ignoring her previous question.
“This damn owl didn’t want to deliver my letter at first, she attacked me,” she said, clearly annoyed and you suppressed a laugh. “Anyway, stay away from Hyunjin. He’s too good for you.”
“You don’t know me but okay, is that all?”
Maybe you shouldn’t have been this disinterested by what she had to say— or she had planned to do it anyway, but the moment you turned around to go, she casted a hex on you.
“Colloshoo!” Your shoes stuck to the ground, you couldn’t move anymore. “Now you just need to wait for a professor,” she chuckled. Did she think you were this dumb?
I mean, you had a hard time in transfiguration, yes, but you were really good at charms.
You put out your wand and pointed to your shoes. “Finite Incantatem.” The effect of her hex got removed and you turned to face her. “I think you’ll need more than that to stop me.”
She sighed deeply and ultimately prepared for a duel. “Don’t chicken out now.”
“Just because I’m not a Gryffindor doesn’t mean I’m a coward. Langlock!”
Her tongue glued itself to the roof of her mouth, making her unable to speak. She clutched at her throat and ran away quickly. You decided to go back to your homework when you saw Heejin talking to the potion professor in one of the hallways. You couldn’t avoid them so you waited for them to come to you.
“And she just attacked me behind my back!” Heejin was smiling behind the professor but you still had her panicked face in mind when she couldn’t open her mouth.
“Y/N Yoo, did you just attack Miss Jeon?” he asked.
“Do you want to hear my side of the story or are you going to believe her lies?”
“I don’t have time for your little games, Yoo, I’m going to give you detention for attacking another student and wandering in the castle at night.”
“She sent me an owl asking me to come here, then used Colloshoo on me, and I get detention?”
“Maybe you should have stayed in your common room. Jeon, you’ll get detention for the same reasons.” If that was the only semblance of justice you were getting, you were going to accept it.
“What?” Heejin was not having it, though.
“But I won’t give you the same detention. Jeon, you’ll pickle rats’ brains in the dungeons tomorrow after class while Yoo, I heard the Hospital Wing needed hands to clean out the bedpans so you’ll do that.”
“Yes, professor.” The least you wanted to do was stay with these two so you rapidly went back to your common room, hearing Heejin’s protests in the distance. She probably got more trouble.
“How was it?” enquired Lia the moment you entered.
“Turns out it was Heejin wanting me to stop seeing Hyunjin.”
“What?! Where is she? I’m going to—”
“She complained to the potion professor —of all professors— and we both got detention. You better stay here.”
“What happened?”
You explained everything and she seemed really mad. “I wonder if she doesn’t have a rat’s brain,” was all she could mutter with clenched teeth.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
At the Hospital Wing for your detention, you found Hyunjin already there.
“Hyunjin?” you called.
“Y/N? Are you hurt?” His eyes widened at your sight and he ran to you.
“No, why would I be?”
“It’s the Hospital Wing, generally students come here when they need to,” he laughed.
“I have detention,” you pouted.
“Ah, me too. Eric used dungbombs in the toilets of the first floor and I happened to be there with him.”
“It sucks, I’m sorry. He seems to enjoy it though.” You started cleaning out the bedpans with him under the vigilant gaze of the school’s nurse.
“Trust me, he does! So, why are you here?” After you narrated yesterday’s events, he opened his mouth —only to close it a few moments later.
“No way… I’ll talk to her, I’m so sorry. This is embarrassing, she’s not even my friend.”
“It’s okay, I know how to take care of myself,” you winked, which reassured him a little.
“But… What she did isn’t okay, if only just the fact she used Soren, my precious owl…”
“She’s really sweet by the way,” you smiled at the souvenir of his owl’s affectionate behavior towards you.
Heejin wasn’t in neither of your mouths for the remaining hours in detention, preferring talking about the things you had in common and made you both smile.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Hyunjin did keep his promise, because the second Heejin went to see him in their common room, all smooth and smiling, he confronted her.
“Hi Hyunj-”
“We need to talk.” His voice was firm, his face closed.
Heejin acted confused and worried, putting one of her hands on his arm. “What’s wrong?”
“Let’s talk privately,” he continued, leaving the common room to go in the nearest empty hallway, Heejin right behind him. “What you did to Y/N was so wrong, and don’t get me started on Soren.”
Heejin’s expression changed at your mention, of course you told him, what a snitch. “It’s not what you think,” she pleaded.
“And what am I thinking?”
“I— she attacked me first!” she tried.
He sighed exasperatedly. “I’m in no place to tell you what to do but it’s in your best interest to stay away from Y/N, Soren and me, from now on. If you could stop obsessing over me, it would be cool too. Please, wake up and stop trying to get me to like you, I won’t. I can't. I like someone else.”
He was about to leave when Heejin grabbed his arm. “It’s Y/N, isn’t it?” she rolled her eyes in annoyance. “They came out of nowhere and stole your heart just like that, while I was there from the beginning and gave you everything.”
“I’m sorry, but you were suffocating me. I don’t think that’s love.”
She stared at him for a while then finally let him go, looking down. “I— I understand. I’m sorry for hurting you.”
Hyunjin smiled. “I forgive you, and Y/N and Soren deserve an apology too.”
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
The next day, Heejin came to you as you were going to a tutor lesson with Hyunjin.
“Y/N, can I talk to you?” she blushed in embarrassment.
“Are you going to hex me if I refuse?” you raised an eyebrow. She shook her head in disagreement. “What do you want?”
“I wanted to apologize for what I did to you. It wasn’t right, I shouldn’t have done that. I was jealous of you and wanted Hyunjin for myself.” She had slump shoulders but maintained eye contact.
“What made you change your mind?” you frowned, still being a bit suspicious.
“Hyunjin, actually. He talked to me and made me realize how unhealthy and delusional I was being. I’m really sorry, Y/N. I’m not asking you to forgive me, though.”
You genuinely smiled at Heejin and offered a hand to shake. “I do. Let’s bury the hatchet.”
She happily shook your hand and you parted ways to go to your lesson.
“I just spoke to Heejin,” you said as you arrived in front of Hyunjin, seated on a bench in the courtyard. He opened his eyes wide. “She apologized and I forgave her.”
He sit up straight. “You did?”
“Yeah, you did too, right?” you said as you sat next to him.
“She told you?”
“No, I figured. You seem to be indulgent.”
“I guess I am. I’m glad she willingly apologized.”
“Oh, I thought you made her do it?” you joked.
You both laughed and started working on cross-species switches —a pain.
After the tutoring, you were doing your homework with Lia. Taeyang entered the common room and sat next to you at the table.
“Y/N, who’s the guy I saw you with earlier?” he enquired, looking over your neatly done herbology homework.
“I need you to be more specific.” You knew who he was talking about but you could have your part of fun from time to time.
“There’s more I don’t know about?!” His shocked expression was worth it.
“You know him, why act like you don’t?”
“So he is a Gryffindor’s chaser. You’re not feeling like befriending the enemy?” he joked.
“It’s not like I was playing and you’ll always be my number one Quidditch player.”
“I better be. So are you more than friends?” he smirked.
“Oh my god no Tae, and don’t you dare give me the talk!” You took your stuff to finish your homework on your bed, knowing Tae wouldn’t follow you there.
“I’m just asking, but you’re defensively answering, plus you’re fleeing. You’re hiding something from me, I know it,” he said to himself, comfortably installed in the chair, lost in his thoughts.
Lia whispered something to your brother then followed you upstairs and you both worked on your respective homeworks.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
“We got a friendly match coming up this weekend with Ravenclaw, so I want all of you to do your best. Their keeper and seeker are particularly good,” said Chan at practice.
“We weren’t expecting a friendly before at least three weeks, what happened?” asked Hyunjin.
“I don’t really know, Chaeyoung asked for this, and said it was important.”
When Hyunjin joined the pitch that day, he thought he understood why this friendly was being held. Taeyang was on his broom, flying over the stands where you were, talking together. He grew anxious and a bit jealous, because Taeyang was a really good —and intimidating— keeper and apparently, you were also close to him.
During the friendly, you were cheering for your house team and lowkey Hyunjin. He scored some goals but Taeyang stopped a large amount of quaffles. Ravenclaw won after Jisung caught the snitch.
After the match, you waited for the teams outside of the changing room with a bag full of cauldron cakes.
Jisung and Chani were the first ones to go out and thanked you after you congratulated them and offered them some cakes. Then Hyunjin came out.
“Hey, what did you think of the match?”
“It was great. You were great, flying like an eagle.”
He giggled. “Thank you.”
“I must admit, you’re pretty good on a broom,” a voice said from behind you. Taeyang put his arm on your shoulder and took a cauldron cake from the bag in your hand. Hyunjin was a bit intimidated so he thanked him quietly, his eyes fixed on his hand on your shoulder.
“I present you my big brother,” you smiled and his eyes widened. He immediately felt stupid for being jealous and looked away.
“I’m Hyunjin,” he proposed his hand, which your brother shook strongly.
“Taeyang. I’ll keep an eye on you, just so you know. Don’t mess with my sugar plum.” You grimaced at the nickname, he had to use it now.
Hyunjin gulped and shook his head vividly. “I would never.”
You were embarrassed and the rest of the teams coming out saved you. You offered the rest of the cauldron cakes to everyone and fled to the castle.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Next saturday, you were wandering alone through the castle —Lia went to Hogsmeade with Eric— when your brother came to you.
“Y/N, I got an owl from dad. With no surprise, he told me to keep an eye on you and to keep you away from trouble.”
“How sweet of him. Couldn’t send an owl directly to me and ask how I’ve been, though?” That was your dad. And hearing about him angered you.
“Y/N… don’t be like that, please.”
“Like what? Did he ask how I was in your letter?” His silence answered your question. “See? My time in detention is all he cares about, I’m tired.”
“I’m going to answer him. Stay inside the castle, it’s going to rain soon.”
“Whatever.” It’s frustrated and angry that you walked outside, between the castle and the Quidditch pitch. You looked for a mud and poop free area, lied down and took deep breaths.
Your dad was a Quidditch player in his years at Hogwarts. He was so good at it that he made the national team after he graduated. His whole life was dedicated to Quidditch, so he was beyond proud when Taeyang made the house team in his second year, like your dad. But he was also extremely disappointed when you didn’t even bother to go to the tryouts, despite the pressure your dad was putting on you.
Your brother was supportive of your choices and always defended you against your dad, but it was pointless. He acted like you were dishonoring the family and his ‘legacy’. It hurt you to the core, but you wanted to live your own life like you intended to, not like your dad or anyone else wanted you to.
You could have hated Quidditch because of all this, but you kept on supporting your brother and your house team, by coming to the practices and bringing sweets along for the team. Your brother often asked you to stop, saying you were just going to make them gain weight but they never said no to your gifts, especially not Jisung and Chani.
You looked at the sky, trying to clear your head. It was blue with lots of white clouds and you closed your eyes for a while, enjoying the breeze. Around twenty minutes later, you felt drops hitting your nose, then your forehead and neck. Milliseconds were enough for the rain to pour like a waterfall. You sighed and put your robe’s cap over your head. The castle was further than expected but you didn’t run.
Suddenly, you didn’t feel the rain anymore although it was still pouring. You lifted your head and saw Hyunjin on his broom, an umbrella in his hand put above you. He had his Quidditch outfit on, water dripping from his damped hair. He smiled sweetly at you and your cheeks burned from the kind gesture. You ran to the castle so Hyunjin wouldn’t have to do that for too long and he didn’t have problems following you. When you arrived at the big door, your gaze went to the Quidditch pitch and despite the weather, you could see forms flying around, meaning one thing: Hyunjin was having practice and ditched it for you. He shook his hair while you looked at him and smiled fondly.
“Your hair is sticking out everywhere. Cute.” Your eyes widened at what you just said and coughed. “Thank you for the help. You were having practice, right?”
Hyunjin chuckled at your expressions. “No problem, Y/N. Yes, Chan will understand why I left.”
“Alright, you should go back now. Don’t catch a cold!” He was going higher but stopped to give you the umbrella.
“You’ll need this more than me. I suggest you go dry yourself and stay by a fireplace. Bye!”
He flew to the Quidditch pitch and you were left there, your heart ready to combust from the cuteness of the conversation you just had.
You entered the castle and Taeyang found you in the hallway.
“Didn’t I tell you to stay inside?” His disapproving look didn’t wash away your smile and heart eyes.
“I don’t regret it.”
Your brother used the hot-air charm to dry your clothes and you thanked him, before going to your common room together.
“I told dad you were doing good and that you could take care of yourself just fine. You okay?”
“Yes, yes I’m good. Thank you. You’re the best brother ever,” you chanted, linking his arm to your own.
“I’m your only brother, it’s easy.” He 100x preferred seeing you smile than being upset, and wanted your happiness above all, even your dad’s wishes.
You sat together on a couch close to the fireplace to fight the cold.
“How do you put up with the pressure dad’s putting on you?” you asked.
He thought for a while then shrugged. “I love Quidditch and I’d rather he focuses on me to let you breathe. I’m sorry it’s not going as planned, I just wish he would stop caring about Quidditch so much.” You hugged your brother tightly. You were thankful for him.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
It was May and the last Quidditch matches of the season were being held. Slytherin had won against Hufflepuff, and the points in the match opposing Gryffindor to Ravenclaw were going to be crucial to know the winner of the Quidditch Cup.
You were excited to know which house would win this year and of course, you supported your own house, and Hyunjin.
You went to see him before the match at breakfast. “I’m rooting for you. But also my brother and my house team. Anyway, good luck.”
You left before he could reply so you had no idea how happy and confident it made him. Albeit you could feel it on the pitch when he came on his broom. You were in the stands with Lia and Eric, respectively in your house colors, and you must admit Hyunjin’s name left your mouth a lot during the match, maybe even more than Taeyang’s.
“300-270 for Gryffindor and the golden snitch isn’t caught yet,” said Jangjun, one of the commentators.
“Come on Jisung,” you heard Lia whisper beside you.
Your eyes were on Hyunjin. He avoided Chaeyoung and gave the quaffle to Lisa, allowing her to approach the goal. She pretended to shoot and your brother fell for it.
“Lisa scores! 310 for Gryffindor,” shouted Felix, the second commentator.
“It looks like Jisung has seen the snitch,” commented Jangjun. “Mark is right behind him. He’s gaining ground… Jisung’s giving his all… and he catches the snitch!”
“Ravenclaw wins 420 to 310!” announced Felix.
All the Ravenclaws jumped and screamed, pumping their fist into the air. You were really happy for your house team. Gryffindor did lose this match, but they accumulated the most points so they won the Quidditch Cup.
“We were 40 points away from the Quidditch Cup,” Taeyang had said in the common room where every Ravenclaw celebrated their victory. “But we did great on the match. I’m really proud of every single one of you. I could’ve stopped more quaffles—”
“Hey, you stopped a really large amount of quaffles and no one here could have done the same,” you said as-a-matter-of-factly.
You could hear some people agreeing with you and the screams intensified.
“Thanks Y/N. To our victory!” he cheered, raising his butterbeer into the air.
The crowd echoed and the party lasted until late but paused for dinner. In the Great Hall, you could see the pride in every Gryffindor’s eyes interested enough in Quidditch. You saw Hyunjin and gave him a thumbs up and a big smile but you definitely didn’t expect him to run to your house table and take you into a big hug, which you reciprocated, obviously.
Lia's smile widened and she discreetly clapped her hands while a few Ravenclaws gasped and stared at the two of you with wide eyes, including your brother. He knew there was something going on with the two of you, but, like you, he didn’t expect that to happen here and now.
“I think I did so well thanks to your encouragement so I wanted to thank you for it,” he whispered cheerfully in your ear.
“Are you sure? It was really awkward, not really an inspirational speech,” you jested.
“Yeah,” he laughed, a light sound you couldn’t get bored of hearing. “Maybe it’s because it was you.” He sounded more serious so you moved back to make eye contact. Neither of you cared about the people around you. “Y/N, spending time with you is the highlight of my days. You’re dazzling and I really, really like you.”
You smiled until your eyes crinkled. “Hyunjin, you happen to be a really good guy whose presence makes me incredibly happier. My life has been brighter since I met you. I like you too, like a whole lot,” you giggled and his smile couldn’t be wider.
He hugged you tight again and when you opened your eyes, you were met with your brother’s. He was smiling contently, giving you a thumbs up.

Title: Reminiscence
Pairing: Jangjun x gender neutral!reader
Word count: 1.1k
Warnings: cursing
~
“Oh my god.”
Jangjun turns around as you lift up your foot, staring at the brown stuff you can now see smushed across the bottom of your shoe. “Jangjun, this is cow shit.”
“... And?”
“This is cow shit,” you repeat like that’ll make the reality any better. It won't and you know that but there is cow shit on your shoe and maybe, just maybe, saying it enough times will erase it. “Cow shit, Jangjun.”
“And we’re in the country,” Jangjun retorts, his grin as wide as ever. For all you agreed to visit home with him, you really have to fight the urge to punch him in the nose and start wrestling with him like when you were children. “Come on, Y/N, don’t tell me you’ve forgotten your roots so quickly.”
“Yeah, well, there were reasons I decided I wanted to pull up my fucking roots and leave,” you grumble, dragging the bottom of your shoe through the grass. Maybe that’ll get some of it off. “Like cow shit.”
Among a host of other things, but there’s no need to get into more of that right now.
Jangjun snorts, mocking the way you’re scrubbing your shoe along the ground. “Don’t tell me you’ve gotten too used to your pretty little cities and immaculate clean buildings to return to the old grassy countryside.”
You fix him with a gimlet eye. “You want me to show you just how much wrestling I remember from the old days?”
“But you’ll get unholy cow shit all over your clothes.” Jangjun pouts exaggeratedly and this time, you don’t stop yourself from punching him in the arm. “Ow!”
“Deserved,” you snap, even as a smile grows on your face. “Now hurry up and show me what you wanted me to see. If I don’t get to scrub my shoe off soon, I’m going to wipe it on your shirt.”
. . . . .
Jangjun leads you into the woods behind his house, chattering about everything and nothing all at once as he smiles his wide smile and drags you along the beaten path. You respond in kind, snickering at his jokes and punching him where appropriate, at least until you notice you’ve been off the path for quite some while.
“Hey, what the fuck? We’re not following the path anymore?” you ask, stopping short. “Where are you taking me?”
He rolls his eyes. “Relax, Y/N. Trust me, I’m not going to murder you in the forest, that’s too cliche.”
“You’re not helping your case at all,” you grumble. “Where are we going?”
“You’ll see!” When you don’t move, he turns the pout on. “Oh, come on, it won’t be a surprise if I tell you now.”
Warily, you look at the trees, at Jangjun, then back in the direction of the path you left behind. After so many years in the city, you don’t trust your footing here, but Jangjun’s been at home a lot longer than you have. And they’re his woods.
He doesn’t really strike you as having turned into a serial killing maniac over the past few years either, which is helpful in your ultimate decision.
With a loud sigh, you tromp through grass and leaves to meet him. “Fine,” you say, pinching his arm. His loud screech makes you laugh. “Lead the way, stupid.”
It almost feels like you’re children again, wandering the woods behind each other’s houses, playing explorers as you march through the trees. Your hushed words and laughs echo in the still air glimmering with the afternoon sun, light dappling through the leaves onto the grassy forest floor. As Jangjun takes you deeper into the trees, you find yourself holding his hand the way you did when you were kids and then teenagers, letting him pull you along on this latest adventure.
(And when you register that your fingers have been intertwined for a while, the realization doesn’t feel as weird as you thought it would.)
Eventually, Janjun leads you to a small clearing, trees ringing a patch of soft, green grass. “Remember when we got lost that one time?” he asks.
You snort. “How could I forget?” You were out here for hours, playing and laughing, before realizing you had no idea how to get home. Eventually you’d managed to find your way back, but not before worrying your parents to high heaven. “God, the yelling we got was brutal.”
“Yeah,” Jangjun agrees, wincing. “But do you remember we carved something into one of the trees?”
Slowly, you nod, the memory resurfacing. “Yeah. But we couldn’t find it again after that.”
“Well, I did some exploring when I came back here for the holidays.” Jangjun’s smile widens. “Look.”
Stepping closer, you watch as Jangjun brushes some dirt off of a nearby tree trunk. There, now barely visible, you can read the faint markings of your initials carved lightly into the bark.
“Holy shit,” you murmur, one finger reaching out to trace your childish handwriting. “You actually found it.”
“Yeah.” Jangjun sounds breathless, almost, as he agrees. “Can you believe it?”
You shake your head in disbelief, turning around to say something. But the words disappear from your mind when you see Jangjun looking at you.
Which isn’t weird, in and of itself. Jangjun looks at you a lot. You look at him a lot. But what is weird is the expression on his face, a mix of emotions you can’t fully decipher. Yearning, remembrance, fondness...
Silence falls in the clearing. You become acutely aware of the way your heart is beating a little too loudly in your chest. “Jangjun?” you ask, voice coming out more cracked than you would’ve liked.
“Huh?” He cocks his head and the strange expression disappears. His wide smile returns to his lips and his eyes and you blink once, twice, trying to figure out if what you just saw on his face was actually real. “What’s up?”
“Oh. Nothing.” You flounder for a moment - did you just imagine that look on his face? Were you hallucinating? “Um, this was really cool.”
“It is, isn’t it?” Jangjun laughs, sounding completely normal. “And now that I know the way, we can keep coming back to see it. Are you hungry?” he asks, completely oblivious to the whiplash you’re getting from the change in topic. “We should go back. It’s getting dark, and my mom’s making dinner tonight.”
You glance at the tiny, faint initials in the bark. They seem to glow in the afternoon turning evening light, teasing you, taunting you with something you don’t know.
“Sure,” you say, shrugging off the warm, unsettling feeling of the initials, of Jangjun’s microsecond expression that seemed to say far too much that you couldn’t understand. “Let’s go eat Mama Lee’s cooking.” You grin, and it probably doesn’t look that strange. “I bet her food’s much better than yours.”

team captain // choi bomin
Tumblr media
🌟 pairing:: choi bomin x reader 🌟 genre:: fluff, angst, everything tbh, volleyball player!bomin 🌟 summary:: the boy that everyone was in love with. the boy that everyone thought was absoultely perfect, it turns out that maybe he isn’t so perfect. but that’s the reason why you loved him. wait-
a/n: i like this but i don’t know if i do u feel? ——————————————————————————
he was the star volleyball player that everyone thought was perfect because of his background, the way he played, just everything about him but the thing is, not everything about him was so perfect. i wish i didn’t have to find out this way but i did. i remember that day so clearly because i wish i never walked into the room at that moment. i wish i never had anything to do with the boy named choi bomin, the fucking varsity volleyball team captain.
it all started last year when he finally became captain. every girl on campus came to watch him and only him. i was always forced to go by my friends, and it just so happened that one game changed my entire school life. i was on my phone because i honestly could care less about volleyball but when i looked up, he caught my eye. i wouldn’t stop watching him the entire rest of the game. of course i’ve seen him around campus, but i had to admit he was good looking. wrong. he was devastatingly gorgeous. at the end of his game, he looked up into the stands, made eye contact with me before winking.
Tumblr media
for the rest of the week i didn’t say anything to anyone about it because for sure it would cause chaos. as if bomin didn’t smirk or wink at me every time he saw me in the hallways. at first i thought it wasn’t me he was looking at but i soon realized that it happened every time he was near me. i didn’t know why he decided to choose me, but i didn’t hate it. no one had to know that though.
“y/n can you go get me my notebook for me please? i left it on the table during class.” mina smiled at me from across the room because she was in a zoom meeting and wasn’t allowed to leave the screen. i rolled my eyes because she made me get off my bed to walk all the way back to the lecture hall.
“do you need anything else your majesty?” i scoffed when she gasped saying that she wanted me to bring food for her. when i walked over there, i put both headphones in playing a song that i was obsessed with for a while now, breathe by golden child. as i slowly walked up to the hallway, there was a professor causing me to yank my headphones out of my ears. i said hello then walked into the room but slowly walked back out when i saw bomin and one of our professors. we had three or four classes together and he would either sit in front of me, behind me, but never beside me.
“just because you’re the team captain, and your parents pay for every major donation to the university won’t help your grades okay bomin? your grades need to rise because if they don’t, i don’t think volleyball is something you should be doing right now.” this professor was new, and she was very brave to be able to even say that to bomin. everyone knew that if you spoke back to bomin he would do anything and everything to get them fired. she wasn’t even a little bit scared.
“i can just do better on the next test what’s the point of this?” when he replied, i hid around the corner of the door trying not to seem like i was eavesdropping on their conversation. i felt that i shouldn’t be listening to this, because it wasn’t something that i should have heard.
“bomin, if you don’t get your grades up, your coach is going to kick you off the team. i will find you a tutor.” she rolled her eyes putting her hand on his shoulder. my jaw dropped open when i realized what she had said.
“whatever.” he scoffed standing up putting both hands into his pockets and walked towards the door. once he stepped out of the door, he looked down to see me before taking a step towards me then when my back was facing the door, he took another step towards me backing me up against the wall. he leaned forward, his breath fanning my neck as he spoke,
“if you say anything about this, i will personally come for you. got it love?” as he finished his sentence, before he walked away, i heard a faint click sound. i didn’t know what it was but i looked into the distance when he walked off. i didn’t think much of it and did what i came to do.
that’s when everything went to shit.
Tumblr media
“y/n, you have to get out of here. right now.” the entire volleyball team came running into my room except for their captain. sungyoon was packing my stuff off the table, while joochan was helping me find my hoodie and a hat. he put it on my head quickly before he continued to pace around the room to find something else. donghyun was picking up my bag, while jaehyun was grabbing my phone. i stood there completely clueless before daeyeol grabbed my arm, pulling me out of my dorm.
“what the fuck is going on?” i looked up at daeyeol then turned around when i heard a huge thump. i saw that jangjun, joochan and youngtaek were all laying on top of each other groaning because they all tried to go through the door at the same time.
“we don’t have time to explain right now, but just know that if you don’t leave soon, getting an explanation will be the least of your worries.” daeyeol shook his head putting his hand on my lower back pushing me towards the door of the dorm building. that’s when i realized why they were trying to get me out of the building. bomin’s “to be fiance”, and bomin’s mother were getting out of the car when we walked out.
“hyung i told you we shouldn’t have gone this way.” jibeom looked down mumbling under his breath before pulling me away from their eyes. well at least he tried. joochan stepped in a few seconds later telling me that he had it all under control. i looked up at him questioning what he meant. we continued walking which caused joochan to hang back to talk to jaehyun.
“boys! just the people i was looking for. what a coincidence.” his fiance giggled but narrowed her eyes at me when she noticed i was hanging out with the team. i mean i didn’t usually so i would be weirded out too.
“who the fuck are you?” she scoffed walking up to me just as joochan smoothly jumped over seungmin who was tying his shoe laces. he slid his arm around my waist pulling me to face him completely. i looked up at him shocked at his actions then looked back at the girl.
“she’s my girlfriend, who the fuck are you?” he mocked back at her before turning to laugh with jangjun who was making jokes in my ear about her to make sure i wasn’t freaking out. i looked back at him giggling at him when he was telling me that he had my back.
“when’d you get a girl chan?” she laughed then rolled her eyes looking around to see if there was anyone walking out of the building behind us. she then looked at daeyeol crossing her arms, and scoffed. as joochan was about to reply to her she held up her hand to get him to stop talking.
“okay no. i understand that you think you’ve got it going for you but i don’t think you should be bossing people around like you own the place, especially my man.” i shrugged walking out of joochan’s arms and up into her face. her jaw dropped when she realized i had just talked back to her. she took a deep breath with her eyes narrowed at me then held up her hand to shoo me away.
“you’re irrelevant right now. daeyeol have you seen a bitch with bomin lately? apparently she’s been trying to slide in with my man.” she scoffed swiping on her phone to hold up the picture. i realized it was me. daeyeol gave me a side glance which gave me a message that i needed to get out of there. now.
“boys, let’s go. and we haven’t, but then again any ‘bitch’ hanging out with bomin is always better than the bitch in front of us.” jangjun scoffed then laughed when he was pushing joochan and i to start walking. we all started walking off, and when bomin’s mom and his fiance walked into the building, bomin showed up out of nowhere.
“i’ll take her from here. thank you boys.”  he smiled at me holding his hand out to me. i crossed my arms refusing to take his hand but of course, all he had to do was grab my arm pulling me towards the side of the building where it was out of the sight of his mother and to be fiance. he put me up against the wall with his hands on my shoulders. he looked over my shoulder once before turning back to look at me.
“thank you for playing along with the boys. if i went, it would have caused suspicion, so thank you.” he was genuinely thanking me. was bomin actually a nice kid? was he protecting me right now? he put his hand on my cheek caressing my cheek before looking me straight into the eyes.
“well i didn’t know what was going on and i figu-” i started my sentence only to see that his eyes moved down to look at my lips. i bit my lip only to meet his eyes again. he kept his eyes on mine, and we stared into each other’s eyes for at least ten minutes, well it felt like ten minutes. then he spoke.
“can i kiss you?”

Hello!! Can I ask you 15 with all the members but they are actually not confident because s/o is shy to show her affection? Hope I'm clear enough... thanks!!
a/n: hello! sorry for the late reply ㅠㅠ after finishing studying for my previous exam, i’m now busy with another one so i took a break from writing... i hope it’s not a problem. thanks for requesting! i chose to change “wasn’t” to “isn’t”, i think it suits the scenarios better. i hope you’ll like this☺️
Golden Child reactions - 15. “Which part of me isn’t enough?”
Daeyeol
Daeyeol is definitely good boyfriend-material. When you two started dating, you felt like you were dating a modern-days prince: he’s always really polite and sensitive, always worrying about you rather than himself, taking you out on romantic dates (when he has free time, obviously), cuddling with you under the sheets and showering you with his love. Too bad you’re not as good as him at showing affection. Even if you had never talked about this before, it was clear that at a certain point he had started developing some insecurities about that, so you aren’t really surprised when he stands in front of you asking: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”.
“Huh?” You say, blinking more than once. He looks at you with a sad gaze.
“Is there anything you don’t like about me?” He asks, biting his lip.
“No...?” You reply, while your heart starts to beat faster.
He sighs. “Are you sure? You don’t have to be with me if you don’t like me.”
“Actually...” You start. “Actually you’re the best thing that could ever happen to me. Really. It’s just that I’m really bad at showing how much I care about you. I’m so sorry.”
His eyes grow wider as a smile appears on his face. “Oh. I feel so much better.” He says, while hugging you. “I couldn’t get myself to stop thinking that you dislike something about me.”
“There’s nothing wrong with you.” You reply, caressing his cheek. “You’re perfect to me.”
Y
Sungyoon isn’t usually the kind of guy to worry about his own irrational thoughts, but having to deal with a person who finds it hard to show affection is making him change his mind.
“I’ve been worrying about you for a few days.” He says, putting an arm around your shoulders. “Is there anything you want to tell me?”
You rest your head on his shoulder. “I don’t think so. Why?”
“Uh.” He replies, touching your cheek with his fingers. “Nothing.”
You put yourself to sit in front of him and look at him in the eyes. “Are you worried about something?”
“Not really...” He says, before looking away and suddenly asking: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”
You blink twice. “Which part of you... isn’t enough...?” You ask, giving him a confused look.
“Yeah.” He says. “Am I lacking something?”
You pat his head. “No, you’re not. I’m the one lacking something, and it’s the ability to demonstrate that I am crazy about you.” You explain. “Please, bear with my flaw, okay?”
He holds your hands. “It’s okay. I am crazy about your flaws too.”
Jangjun
Considering his bright personality, you had never thought Jangjun would ever be the kind of guy to develop insecurities about anyone surrounding him. He had a particular way of showing his insecurities: he would bring them up by asking rhetorical question.
“You don’t like me, don’t you?”, “You think I’n not good enough for you, don’t you?”, “You’re into somebody else, aren’t you?”, these are only some of the dozens of questions he has been asking you for the past few days.
“So, which part of me isn’t enough?” He asks, making you roll your eyes.
“Actually...” You say, and he looks at you with a worried gaze. You smirk, realizing that he’s believing it. “Actually, there’s something.”
“W... what?” He asks. You had never seen him so insecure.
You point at his head. “Your brain.” You say. “You aren’t clever enough to realize I’m crazy about you.”
He pinches your arm. “You thought you could prank me?” He asks, pinching you harder. “Don’t do this ever again. And I want you to know this: I wasn’t believing in you. I knew you were kidding.”
You move your arm, sticking your tongue out. “Yeah, sure.”
TAG
Youngtaek gets easily flustered when it comes to people he cares about. He has always been into you, and he has shown it in various ways: sending you pictures of something that he saw and reminded him of you, buying you all the sweets that you said you like, taking you to his favorite places... you feel bad thinking about the fact that he has been able to show his affection to you in so many different ways, while you struggle to even just say “I love you” back.
You are at the café in front of his company. You’re taking a sip of iced tea when out of the blue he asks you : “Which part of me isn’t enough?”
You didn’t really expect him to ask you that question.
“What do you mean?” You ask, coughing.
“What should I change about me? I want you to be more interested in me.” He explains, with a serious face.
You smile and reach your hand out to caress his cheek. “You don’t have to change anything. Just because I don’t tell you I love you so often, it doesn’t mean I don’t love you.”
“You can just tell me if something is wrong with me. I am willing to fix it.” He says, holding the hand you were caressing him with.
“There is nothing I would change in you.” You say, just before kissing him. “You’re the best to me.”
Seungmin
Seungmin is usually quiet but when he’s worried about something he becomes even quieter. It didn’t take you a lot to realize that something is making him flustered.
“What’s going on?” You ask, out of the blue.
“Huh?” He says, giving you a confused look.
“You’re so quiet.” You explain. “You’re thinking about something.”
He looks away and stays silent; after a few minutes, he asks: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”
You raise your eyebrows. “What?”
“Nevermind.” He says, taking his phone out of his pocket. You take your phone out of your bag too.
You send him a text. “You’re more than enough for me.”
You wait for his reaction, but it seems like he hasn’t read it yet. Your phone vibrates.
It’s Seungmin’s reply. “I love you even if you make me worry too much.”
Jaehyun
Jaehyun always worries about making sure you’re comfortable with him. There hasn’t been a single time ever since you started dating that he hasn’t asked you if everything is okay or if you want to talk to him about something in particular. You are really thankful for the way he is, but you know that sometimes you’re not good at showing him how much you love him; so you weren’t really surprised when he texted you asking: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”
You read the text more than once, to be sure that you’re not getting it wrong.
“Nothing?” You type. After a few seconds, you get another text.
“Are you sure?” He asks.
“I am.” You reply.
“Alright. I’m sorry.” He quickly replies. “I love you a lot.”
You smile. “I love you a lot too.”
Jibeom
Jibeom isn’t really the type of guy to share all of his thoughts with you, but you can feel that something is off only by taking a look at his gaze whenever he’s talking to you. At first you thought it would be something temporary, but after a few days you realized that it was kind of serious and that you had to find out what was going on. So that’s why you have now called him over.
He is as quiet as usual, but you can see that his eyes are hiding something.
“So... is there something going on?” You begin with an unsure voice. He shyly looks away and blushes.
“No.” He murmurs.
“Are you sure?” You insist. “ I can see it in your eyes.“
He sighs. “Which part of me isn’t enough?”
“Huh?” You give him a confused look.
“”I feel like you’re not into me.” He explains. “Is there anything wrong with me?”
You blush. “No. I’m sorry.“ You look away. “ I should show my affection to you more, right?”
He smiles to you. “It’s okay. You don’t have to force yourself.”
Donghyun
“Which part of me isn’t enough?”
Donghyun’s question flustered you. You know you aren’t that good at showing your affection to anyone, especially to him, but you didn’t think this would lead to him feeling insecure about himself.
You scratch your head. “Uhm... well, do you really want me to say it?” You ask.
Donghyun puts on a sad face and shrugs. “Whatever.”
“It’s... your confidence.” You hurriedly reply, before this leads to him feeling really bad. “Why are you asking me such stupid questions? You should know better how much I love you.”
“You never say it.” He shyly explains, looking away.
You pinch his cheek. “Just because I don’t say it it doesn’t mean you’re not “enough” for me. Actually, you’re way too much for me. I don’t deserve you.”
Joochan
Joochan usually acts like he’s full of confidence, so his sudden question (“Which part of me isn’t enough?”) sincerely flustered you.
“There’s nothing wrong with you.” You reply. “I am sorry, this is all my fault. I am way too cold.”
He quickly pats your shoulder. “Don’t apologize. I was kidding. Really!”
“No, you’re right. I should be much more affectionate to you.” You say, biting your lip.
“I was really kidding!” He insists. “But still... thanks for the compliment!” He adds, winking.
Bomin
Bomin usually holds everything in when it comes to his worries. It’s not like you were expecting him to tell you how he is feeling every single time, but you wanted him at least to tell you when something was wrong; since he never did, as soon as you realized that something was worrying him, you asked him about it.
“I am okay, really.” He replies.
“Are you sure?” You ask again.
He stands there and looks at you in your eyes. Before you can say anything, he asks: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”
“What?” You say, raising your eyebrows. “Are you crazy?”
He gives you a confused look. “Why?”
“You’re way more than enough to me. Don’t ask me no stupid questions!” You say, leaving him with a warm smile on his face.

different types of dates with lee jangjun
~ type . headcanon
~ requested . no
~ pairing . jangjun x gender-neutral!reader
~ genre . fluffy fluff !!
~ tw . mentions of alcohol
~ song recommendation . hold by winner
~ a/n . so i was watching that one jangstar episode with daeyeol and seeing jangjun on the rooftop screaming into the open air, gave me an idea... hence why this scenario exists. hope you enjoy and continue to love our jangstar with all the stars in the universe.
.
.
.
Tumblr media
- now jangjun would absolutely LOVE spending time with you
- it is probably his favourite thing to do in the world
- when both of you guys are free he is attached to you at the hip
- when you meet at your date place he would hug you so so tight and like not let go
- you had to remind him that you had a date to be continuing but he’d be all whiny and ask for five more minutes in your arms
- dates for him are the perfect way to gain energy
- because of his busy schedule he isn’t able to see you as often as he wants too
- so maybe one or two dates a week if he isn’t extremely busy
- now let’s get onto jangjun’s personal favourite dates
- he would always ask for your input but these are his favourite ways to spend time with you
- ice cream dates !!
- jangjun seems like such a sweetie
- and what’s a better way to prove that than buying you something that’s as sweet as both of you
- the two of you are frequents to the ice cream place near his dorms
- i swear even if it’s -1 degrees outside he would be like “ight it’s ice cream time”
- he would drag you into the store by your hand and asked what flavour you wanted
- when you said something different to the usual he said “ooo spicing it up a bit now aren’t we jagi, would you be able to handle it ~” (teasing shit)
- his eyes would grow so large at the wide array of flavours, watching them being scooped into bowls diligently
- jangjun would order one bowl of the dessert instead of two, having your chosen flavours on one side and his on the other
- he just loves sharing things with you and it makes it easier if he wants to feed you some of his ice cream
- if your order was slightly incorrect he wouldn’t hesitate to call out the poor worker
- “excuse me sir, my jagi ordered two scoops of cookies n’ cream, why is there only one?”  *you dying of embarrassment next to him* “jangjun honey, it’s alright-” “nu uh, my baby doesn’t deserve this absolutely disgraceful service. y’know what? we are going to a different store next time, this is unacceptable-” *then proceeds to go to the same place with you next week*
- would sit you down in a small booth in a corner and just talk to you about your day
- dates are basically like catch up time for him
- because of the nature of his work there aren’t very many times where he can just talk with you
- he loves to be filled in with all the things happening with your life
- jangjun is an amazing listener, he would bring up shit you said like 50 years ago that you barely remember yourself “ahh y/n how was your weekend off at jeju? what did you do?”
- would totally do that thing they do in dramas. when you have some ice cream on you lips he’d lean in and swipe it off with his thumb (lee jangjun the napkin was right there >:)
- he would get a bit embarrassed afterwards but it made you giggle so it’s one hundred percent worth it in his eyes
- insists to feed you, you’re his baby there’s no getting away from “say ahhh”
- loves to kiss you during these moments, his heart just swells with so much emotion seeing your cheeks full or seeing you suffer from a brainfreeze
- you would always taste the syrupy sweetness on his lips and the cold from the ice soon turned into warmth
- laser tag dates !!
- jangjun lives for your smile
- it actually completes him
- there are two quick ways to make you smile
- making you laugh and teasing you
- and during laser tag dates he always does an over abundance of both ~
- on this occasion he brought joochan and donghun along (he didn’t do it willingly, they begged him to earth and back and promised not to mess up the date) (if you count stealing a good chunk of your attention from jangjun a ruined date, then yeah they did :))
- so we now have a pouty jangjun who wants your attention very much because you’re talking to donghun more than him
- he get’s the perfect opportunity to get back at you when you’re put on opposite teams
- you and donghun vs.  jangjun and joochan let’s go >:
- jangjun would always try and distract you by doing cute shit but it would never work
- even forgets about donghun he only has eyes for you, even when he’s trying to get you to lose
- “it would be amazing if my wonderful very beautiful y/n came over here for a second.” “lee jangjun do you think i’m daft” “daft for my love now come here-”
- when you try to shoot him and miss (you swear you hit his sensor though) he pokes his tongue out and runs off
- strong advocator against camping, he says it isn’t fair and a cheap strategy (it’s just that he’s never paying 100% of his attention to the game and gets caught out by donghun because he’s too busy looking at you)
- jangjun is so so so so so so in love with you but will never out rightly admit just how much he does, but it’s so evident in how he looks at you and in the little things (like not shooting you when he has the perfect opportunity to)
- i have a feeling he’d just randomly do the choreo to something like genie in the middle of the game and get pissy when someone catches him out
- turns out joochan wasn’t as good as a teammate as he thought when they lost to a cleverly planned ambush by you and donghun
- he swears his day can’t get any worse being betrayed by his partner and bandmates, but give him five minutes and a few pats on the head and he’s all yours again
- lovesick puppy ;-;
- board game dates !!
- sometimes the weather doesn’t always permit you to be able to go outside
- so on days of extreme weather he’d always show up to your door with heavy bags filled with unhealthy snacks, a blanket or two, alcohol (it’s no secret how much he likes to drink) and a few board games to try out
- after setting everything up he’d take a shot of soju to feel buzzed and doesn’t forget to feed you a bit before you start. he will not let his baby play with an empty stomach >:
- you guys always start with a classic: monopoly
- picks hat or dog; thinks the car is ugly
- cheats, like a lot.
- “jangjun you moved your piece ahead like fifty spaces bring it back- we both were on go a few minutes ago !!” “jagi what are you talking about? i was always there!!” *secretly moves his piece two spaces forward*
- goes to jail a lot but almost immediately gets a jail out free card (he isn’t cheating for this one, he just has luck you could only dream of)
- laughs so loudly when you land on his property and have to pay up, holds his hand out for the money and you wish you could beat him up; only with love though ~
- gets on his knees and begs you to give him four, hundred notes when he’s on the verge of bankruptcy
- you never agree and he always ends up loosing, accuses you of cheating and you can only laugh
- “you won AGAIN? y/n stop cheating, it isn’t fair-” “lovely to hear that from you lee jangjun...” “at least i cheat with pride and dignity!”
- will reluctantly move on to jenga
- even more tipsy this time, you’re the same (if you drink that is)
- makes up stupid dares you have to do if you lose
- it’s probably shit like running outside of your place into the street screaming or aegyo
- both for his personal enjoyment and good photos
- this is where you guys get serious
- no love just “YOU WERE THE ONE THAT TOUCHED IT LAST” “NO I WASN’T MY ARM WAS RIGHT HERE” “LIAR-”
- once you had a really long game and it looked like jangjun was going to win but you sneezed and made him lose focus
- as we have already established you are his baby, you can’t be sick wtf that’s a crime
- gives you the death stare as the tower topples
- *proceeds to do the most over the top aegyo you’ve ever seen before going back to giving you the death stare*
- just kiss him and he’d forget why he was even mad at you in the first place
- now he’s basically drunk at this point, slurring his words and refusing to let you out of his vice grip
- being smart you try to get him to bed but he refuses wanting to play one more game. what are you supposed to do, say no?
- that game ends up being charades !! jangjun is normally really good at this game, when he is sober that is...
- can not guess what you are doing for the life of him
- “giraffe, polar bear, gorilla-” *you were acting out excitement. the emotion.*
- giggles cutely when you guess correctly what he’s trying to
- his cheeks are all red form all the alcohol and i’m-
- both of you (only him if you’re not drunk) pass out on the couch just wrapped in blankets with your bodies smooshed together
- jangjun wakes up in the morning very happy despite his raging hangover
- video call dates !!
- jangun is an idol, the nature of his work means he can’t see you as often as he’d like
- even when he’s free your schedule sometimes doesn’t match up with his free days
- this problem won’t stop jangjun from trying to spend time with you, if he can’t smooch you in person he would give his laptop screen all the smooches in the world to make up for it :<
- video call dates are absolutely necessary to your relationship and they are your most common date
- jandjun would legit go insane without seeing your face for too long
- lost in the waves of constant dance practice, recordings and promotions you ground him
- you’re like his safe space, he can be as uncensored with you as he you wants (if jangjun is holding himself back in normal recordings just imagine how he’d be with you alone)
- so video call dates would happen very often definitely a minimum of three times a week
- y’all would do many things, maybe he would be studying japanese and you reading something required for work or school
- he could be working out and just called you to give him motivation
- but the most common type of video call dates are your mukbang ones
- jangjun loves to see you eat
- one of his favourite things is to share a meal with you
- so during dinner times, he thanks who ever cooked the food (ngl it’s probably takeout), took it to his room, told seungmin to go somewhere else for 30 minutes and turned on his laptop to call you
- smily when you answer and sees your face
- “y/n !! how was your day angel? i was missing you a lot today, have you eaten? no? go and get something then, i can hear your tummy rumbling from our dorm. we can have a little dinner date!!”
- help i am helplessly in love with this man and i don’t know what to do >:
- brings his food up to the camera “it looks good right~”
- WILL try and feed you through the screen and ends up spilling a bit on his keyboard
- will let you do the talking, will just eat happily nodding along adding input when needed
- jangjun fluffy cheeks full of food; my favourite concept ~
- will pout when he has to end the call because seungmin needs something in their room
- “i’ll talk you later y/n, always missing you~”
- rooftop dates !!
- jangjun’s final fav type of date
- he doesn’t want to do these too often, they need to feel extremely special
- when he knows you’ve been having a hard time recently or he hasn’t seen you in a while, jangjun would ask you to come to the rooftop of his dorm or company
- this where you would see him at his most romantic
- jangjun isn’t one for grand gestures and deep heartfelt declarations of love
- he shows his love in little ways most of the time but he just feels the obligation to do something bigger once in a while
- when you arrive at the rooftop, it’s decorated with fairy lights and pillows
- jangjun would sneak up behind you, placing his hands on your shoulders giving you a jumpscare
- “BOO !! hehe i scared you right ~ so... do you like it? i had youngtaek help me with it, i promised to buy him food afterwards. see, i owe someone food because of you-”
- would lead you to the pile of blankets plopping down first, patting the space next him
- won’t hesitate to burry himself into you his excuse being “i might not be able to do this again for a while” ;-;
- he would prefer rooftop dates in the day because cloud gazing is much more fun to him than stargazing
- jangjun would point out like really obscure and hard to see shapes in the clouds “oh my god jagi, look at this one !! it looks like burger ~” “hun are you hungry?” “maybe...”
- he’d also enjoy looking down at the street seeing people going about with life, it just made him feel more apart of something and not just a lonely island in the idol world
- if you really really liked the stars he’d change the plans to be in the evening instead (only because he has more chances to stare at you when you’re concentrated on trying to find patterns in the sky)
- would say shit like “the sky looks amazing, but not as amazing as you ;)” and you’d want to push him off
- honestly you’re the only person jangjun would ever stoop this low for in the realms of cheesiness
- moments like this would be the only times he’d ever tell you he loved you
- it’s not like he never feels it, because trust me he does every single moment he’s with you
- he would always say things like “you know you love me ~” often but it was always in playful jest (and when he mildly pisses you off oops-)
- those three words were only saved for perfect moments like this and you knew he meant them every time
- you guys would be looking up at the sky and he’d just grab your hand and rub your thumb saying how seriously lucky he is to know you and how he’d never imagine in a million years to be able to call you his, while cuddling closer to you. you’d just smile because lee jangjun- and he’d press his lips on the shell of your ear and say softly “i love you”
- (clock by infinite just came on DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BE OKAY RIGHT NOW)
- then he moved to your lips and i’m a goner-
- this is definitely the sappiest you’d ever see jangjun but this side of him was very very very cute n’ soft indeed
- would just lay with you forever and ever just enjoying your presence
- as long as your there jangjun would never look at anything that isn’t you
- lee jangjun just enjoys spending time with you so so much, it’s when he’s really at his happiest and most carefree
- make sure to take him to all your favourite places in return, he’d love to see all the things that make you happy :((
Tumblr media
a/n . this killed me from the inside out, i love this boy so much- to whoever is reading this jangjun and golcha love you so much :(

please help me | l.jj
pairing: Jangjun x reader
genre: angsty, but the ending is  fluff
word count: 2 088
warnings: swearing, guns, alcohol, blood
theme: mafia! au & strangers to lovers! au
Y/N lives in a city where the mafia runs rampant. One day she saves a young man's life, not knowing that he is the mafia boss's son. Now, she has just joined the no-harm list.
The last few years in Jeonju have not been safe, especially at night. Rumors are circulating that the mafia has returned to the city and had to move abroad. But no one can remember why. One night, the young girl was returning from work a little later than usual. She was terrified of all the rumors that she was holding the keys in her purse, willing to defend herself with them. She heard someone yelling, "hide!" So she did. She hid behind the corner, crouching to the ground. Then there were shots across the street and a subsequent cry of pain. When the shooting subsided, she came out of her hiding place. A few feet in front of her lay a man moaning, holding his thigh from which blood was flowing. She rushed to him.
"Go away! It's dangerous here," the man yelled at her, but she still helped him to stand out.
"I'm a nurse. I'll treat your leg, and then you can leave," she said, wrapping her arms around his waist for better support.  He didn't say a word, just wailed with a whimper as he stepped on his shot leg. Her house wasn't too far away, but he was heavier than she expected.
"It hurt so bad... you should leave me there bleed to death," his words were harsh but still in pain.
"Maybe I should have left you there, but my conscience wouldn't forgive me," she said with a lower tone, turning to the left, where was her house. Going up a few stairs to the porch was very difficult because the boy couldn't lift his leg. When they came inside the house, she led him to the couch next to the door.
"Wait here, I'll go for my first aid kit," she smiled at him with a small nod.
"I have no choice but to wait here," he said with sarcasm in his voice. The girl sighed, rolling eyes, annoyed. The first aid kit was in her kitchen, where she grabbed a bottle of vodka to clean his wound. She went back to the couch where he was resting the guy. He managed to take off his trousers, which he left lying on the ground, which was already a small puddle of blood.
"It's going to fucking hurt. Do you want a drink before that?" her eyes met his. He snatched the bottle from her hand and drank the clear liquid. He handed her the bottle again, and she pulled long tweezers from a first-aid kit, which she intended to use to pull out a bullet. She carefully poured vodka on the wound and immediately used tweezers, which she slowly grabbed by the bullet she had pulled out. He cried in pain, bitting himself in the shoulder.
"It's out. I'm going to pour some more vodka and sew the wound," she said, looking at him with a kind smile. He nodded, shutting his eyes painfully. She began to sew the wound carefully, making sure he was okay.
"I'm done. Wait here. I'll go for some wet towel to wipe all that blood from you," she stood up, running to the kitchen. She was back in a minute with a small bowl full of water and the towel in the other hand that she placed on the side table.
"I can do it myself," he scoffed. She expected thanks from him or some kind behavior. She put things back to the first aid kit and turned away, walking into the kitchen again.
"Arrogant asshole," she muttered to herself as she tried to wash the blood from her hands. She knew her cleaning work wasn't over because she had blood on the floor in the living room. She thought he would be away when she came back, but he wasn't. He was sitting there still without his pants on.
"Aish, I was hoping you would be away," she said, rolling her eyes again.
"If I'm a burden to you, you shouldn't have brought me here," his tone was sarcastic again.
"I saved your leg, maybe your life, so I was hoping you'd thank me. You're such an asshole," she shrugged.
"To be you, so I would pay attention to what you say and to whom," he folded his arms across his chest, smirking at her.
"I'm not afraid of you. I think you could go now. Your leg should be fine," she also smirked at him and waited for him to get up and leave. He put his pants on, walking to her.
"You should be more careful, baby girl," he placed his palm on her cheek.
"First of all, my name is not baby girl, but Y/N, and second, don't touch me," she tore his hand away, smirking at him.
"Nice to know your name, Y/N. I'm Jangjun," he sent her a flying kiss, leaving her house.
Tumblr media
A few days have passed since the night she rescued him. But something was wrong. She felt as if someone was still watching her, and sometimes a big black car parked near her house. It made her anxious. Her night shift was over, and she was on her way to a bus stop. From behind, she heard footsteps following her. Her legs started to shake from how she was scared. There was no one on the street because it was late at night. She was scared to stop walking, so she decided to make a stop in a convenience store. Y/N tried to call her best friend, but he didn't pick up. She quickly took something so that the seller wouldn't think she had come to steal. She went out into the street, where she looked around and saw no one. She took a deep breath and continued on her way to the bus stop. The bus arrived just when she came. She got on so quickly, exhaling deeply.
As she approached her house, she saw the same black car as in the morning. Her footsteps immediately went to the car. She knocked on the driver's window and waited to see if anything would happen. The window went down her eyes met an older man in his forties.
"Why are you still parking here. Do you think I won't notice you? could you leave, please?" she was furious.
"I was ordered to guard your house. Just like my colleague got an order to supervise you when you leave work," he said coldly.
"What are you talking about, sir? Can I talk with your boss?" she was disappointed in his words.
"Sorry, I don't know if I can do it for you. The boss told me not to contact him," the man said, making Y/N more disappointed.
"I'll call the cops if you won't contact your boss. I'll search for my phone, so you have a few seconds to change your mind," she began rummaging in her purse, looking for a phone.
"Don't call the cops, please. I'll call him now," his tone sounded spooked. Y/N smiled triumphantly. After a few seconds, he handed his phone to her.
What's wrong, Whangchul? Did something happen to her?
Hello, I hope that your employee will be somewhere else tomorrow morning and that your other person will not be watching me either. I can call the police and report stalking.
I wouldn't involve the police. I'm just trying to protect you because I think you're in danger because of the night you saved me.
Oh. You are that Jang asshole. I'm asking you to stop watching me. I can take care of myself. Thanks, bye.
Wait. I'll give you my number in case of an emergency if you need help. Okay?
I don't think I'll need it, so I probably don't want it. Goodbye.
She returned the phone to the owner, determined to go home and not have to deal with anything, but the guy stopped her.
"Miss, take this. If you don't take it, I won't be able to leave," he said, handing her a piece of paper with something written on it.
"Fine, bye," she grabbed the paper and left him behind.
Tumblr media
On a Friday night when Y/N had her day off, she heard someone walking on her porch. Then out of nowhere, someone started banging on the door. For a moment, the door seemed to breakthrough. She was in the kitchen, hiding, holding the pan in her hands like her weapon in case the guy got into her house. She was shaking in fear as the banging on the door didn't stop.
"Open the door, bitch," the man shouted, making Y/N more afraid. She noticed a piece of paper on the kitchen counter, the piece of paper with the Jangjun's number. She reached out carefully and dialed the number. After a moment of ringing, he picked it up.
Please, help me. Someone is banging on my door, shouting at me.
I'm on my way. Hide well and don't get out of here until I take care of him.
She slowly walked to the bathroom after four, where she locked herself and hid behind a towel cabinet for safety. She was hugging her knees tightly, still shaking in fear. The banging was loud because it could be heard even in the bathroom. The man shouted various vulgar words and did not stop. Then there was a shot and another scream out of nowhere. But it wasn't the scream of the man who was banging on her door. Other shots were fired, followed immediately by another shouting. Her eyes filled with tears that started to fall. Her arms let go of her knees, and her palms pressed against her ears to hear less.
"Y/N?!" Jangjun's voice shouted her name out loud. Her trembling body stood up, unlocking the bathroom door.
"Y/N?!" he shouted again, waiting for her response.
"I'm here," she sobbed, wiping her cheeks with her shirt. She came out from the bathroom, meeting Jangjun's frightened face. He ran to her, hugging her tightly. She began to cry again, not with fear, but with the joy that she would be safe now.
"Shh, it's okay, I'm here," he stroked her hair, still holding her tightly. She held him by his black sweatshirt, into which her tears soaked.
"Let's grab you some clothes. I'm taking you with me so you would be completely safe," he pulled away from her to look at her. She only nodded, walking away from him. But he followed her because he was worried about her. Everything that happened today was because of him and his family, which had a score to settle with that guy and his men. He watched as she was putting her things in a bag.
"I'm so sorry," he sighed, leaning on the doorframe.
"It's okay," she whispered, standing with her back to him.
"No, it's not. Anything bad could have happened to you. Then I would blame myself for the rest of my life. That guy owes my family a lot and acted like an asshole and got you involved," he ran his fingers through his hair. She closed the bag, putting it over her shoulder.
"I don't think you've blamed yourself all your life. After a few months, you would forget," she said with a small smile on her lips.
"Nonsense. You weren't afraid to help me back then, and I don't want to sound cheesy but, I might, but I don't care. When you treated my leg, I fell in love with you. I was really grateful that you didn't let me lie in pain on that street. That's why I hired a couple of my men to keep an eye on you," he came closer to her and took her hand, which he pressed lightly in his. Her cheeks blushed hard after those words.
"I should apologize for the nasty words I told you, and thank you for everything you have done for me," she came closer to him.
"I promise I'll watch you better now so that nothing happens to you," he smiled brightly at her. She buried her face in his chest, and his arms hugged her and kissed the top of her head.

Golden child reaction to you wearing one of their shirts
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Daeyeol
You stole one of his hoodies. So when he couldn’t find it he would be so stressed out. But when he saw you walking in wearing his hoodie, he’d get all fluffy inside. He would run up to you to hug you. “you should wear my clothes more often you look too cute.”
Tumblr media
Sungyoon
He was wearing one of his hats like normal, but you snatched it from his head and put it on by yourself. He laughed at your actions. He tried to get it from you. “babe give it back my hair looks horrible right now.” You ran away and he’d run after you.
Tumblr media
Jangjun
Jangjun was still in the bathroom and you were getting ready for bed. You realised you didn’t bring a top to sleep in. You decided to steal one of his white shirts. When he came out of the bathroom he looked at you. “is that mine” you looked at him “yeah I didn’t have a shirt.” “I didn’t mean the shirt, but that looks cute too.”
Tumblr media
Tag
He left them for you to steal himself. So when he saw you in his sweatshirt prepare to be cuddled the whole day. He loves seeing you in his clothes, it shows to him that you are his. After a while he would need some clothes back though.
Tumblr media
Seungmin
When you asked for a pair of sweats he gave them. But when you walked into the kitchen after a shower, he was so in awe. He taught you looked so comfy and he just wanted to cuddle you. “babe you should wear it more it looks good on you.”
Tumblr media
Jaehyun
You two were walking outside and when you asked for his beanie because you were cold you gave it to you. He didn’t expect to find you so cute. So he took a lot of pictures of you. He immediately made them his lock screen. He’d remind himself to give you more of his stuff.
Tumblr media
Jibeom
He so much “sprite” shirts he didn’t even notice you stole on from him. So when you two planned a date and he saw you in his shirt he fell in love again right there. He blushed at you and took your hand in his. “you look great in my shirt babe.” You smiled. “I’m sorry I stole it I just wanted something to remind me of you.” He’d blush even more and kiss your cheek.
Tumblr media
Donghyun
Donghyun thought one of his members stole a flannel and he got kind of mad. When he saw you in it he immediately apologised to his members and walked to you. “hey you look so cute but next time please tell me.” “I’m sorry I just needed to have something with your scent when you were away.” This made him soften and he hugged you.

Joochan
This softie would love it. After it happened the first time he would leave them everywhere for you to steal them. He loved seeing you in his clothes since they were kind of big on you. He thought it looked extremely cute. He would never leave your side when you wore his clothes.
Tumblr media
Bomin
He wouldn’t see it at first glance that it was his shirt. But when he saw it was kind of big on you he figure out it was his. “is that my shirt?” He asked you and you nodded. He’d love it so much. It made you look so small.

jangjun is ruining all of your plans right now, the evil fucker. you were going to wake up early and surprise him with breakfast in bed... and instead, your dumb, cute boyfriend won't let you go.
"i know you're awake, you dork." you lightly flick his forehead just to see the way his face scrunches. "let me surprise you still."
he holds you tighter. "what if i want you to stay? hm? it's my birthday. are you denying my birthday wish?"
you roll your eyes. "your birthday wish... is to cuddle."
"yep." he snuggles in. "we can go out for breakfast. it's cold," he whines, "and i don't want to get up yet."
fine, you decide. he wins. you snuggle in, pressing a kiss against his forehead. "by the way," you say quietly, "i misspelled your name in the bakery order. i was typing too fast, so..."
"give me a name tag and i'll wear it to my surprise party."

The weather was perfect on a sunday like this. Warm with a refreshing breeze. On the Quidditch pitch, a majority of Gryffindor were either on the field, a broom in hand or sitting between the stands.
You were set back from the group of people on the field, stretching to be in the best form possible.
Quidditch meant a lot to you, it had for five years now. Being in the Quidditch team for so long meant having friends and rivals but overall, you were very friendly so the rivalry turned into friendship over the years.
You were stretching your arms when you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around with your arm still spread and hit Jeongguk’s shoulder.
“Eh!”
Yugyeom was laughing and you joined him cheerfully. Jeongguk’s expression was too funny to be ignored.
“You scared me Gguk, it’s your fault. Hi Yugy.”
“Hi Y/N, how’s it going?”
“I’m ready to keep my place. Also congrats on you two for staying as beaters this year.”
“Thanks. We’ll try not to take you down too much.”
”You’ll wish you did,” you bragged.
They scoffed with smiles on their faces. “It’s almost time for tryouts, we’ll be on the stands cheering you on,” said Yugyeom gently.
“Yeah, we wouldn’t miss this for anything.”
“Just say you’re here to spy on us for Soyeon,” you accused, not being serious at all.
“Can’t we cheer on our friend without being attacked like this?” Yugyeom fake cried.
You rolled your eyes playfully. “Thanks guys, your presence is really appreciated,” you smiled at them as they walked away, waving at you.
As the chaser, you were one of the best elements of the team. But really, you always thought the team was getting better and better over the years. Especially since Hyunjin joined.
Speaking of which, he only had time to come to you when Chan went straight to you both when he saw you on the field.
“Hey,” Chan greeted as he kissed your forehead and hugged Hyunjin.
Chan was your best friend. He always greeted you with a kiss on your forehead. It was his way of showing you affection. He was also a lot clingy, so he hugged his friends often, you included.
“Hey, do I really have to audition for the tryouts again?”
Chan was the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. He was also the last —but not least— one to make the tryouts for the team of the year. Around thirty students —more people than the year before— came and he was divided between being happy so many people wanted to be part of the team and being anxious because he knew he inevitably had to say no to more of them.
“Are you scared better chasers will take your place, Hyunjin?” Chan asked, smirking.
“Definitely not, I’m determined to get in.”
“You’re right, you’re one of the best. If Chan doesn’t take you back, that would be the team’s loss. And you don’t want a weak team, am I right, Chan?” you asked, turning to Chan.
Hyunjin thanked you for your kind words and you winked at him while Chan waited for him to walk away before giving you an implied look. To which you replied with a raised eyebrow.
“What? Am I not right?”
“You are, he’s one of the best. But there’s a lot of people today, I ca—”
“So what?” you cut him off. “You know like me that none is better than him.”
“You seem to forget yourself.”
“What does it have to do with me?”
“You’re as good as he is, if not better. Give your best today, it would be a shame if I had to replace you,” he winked at you, put his broom between his legs and flew into the air without letting you reply.
He went in front of the mass of people who were waiting for the tryouts while you were left flustered by his wink. You quickly put yourself together (you’ll have plenty of time to rant after the tryouts), picked up your broom and went next to Hyunjin to listen to what the captain had to say.
“Thank you everyone for coming today. As you know, six people will be selected for this year. A seeker, two beaters and three chasers. Let’s begin with the chasers, shall we? Next will be the beaters then the seeker. Please, those who came for the other positions you can go to the stands for now.”
You prepared yourself and went in the air as easily as walking. Flying on a broom was so satisfying, you really loved it and were almost more comfortable in the air than on the ground.
Chan positioned himself in front of the hooped goal posts and Bambam, the freshly new Gryffindor Head Boy, who you didn’t see coming, threw the quaffle into the air. The tryouts had officially started and you were ready to show your skills.
About thirty minutes later, the verdict was final. Everyone returned to the ground and gathered around Chan.
“I want you all to know that if you’re not taken this year, don’t lose hope. Your time will come. I mean, it's my last year,” he laughed. “Alright, let me introduce the new chasers for this year: Y/N Y/L/N, Lisa Manoban and Hyunjin Hwang. Congratulations to you three.”
Everyone clapped their hands. Chan’s eyes met yours and your smile lighted up his face, making him smile brightly, showing his cute dimples. You then found Lisa and Hyunjin and hugged them tight.
“I’m so happy. We’re like the holy trinity,” beamed Lisa into your ear.
“It’s true, we’re a killing team,” added Hyunjin.
You closed your eyes and enjoyed the moment of joy you were sharing with your friends while the field was slowly emptying, leaving the chasers and the keeper.
“Guys, the beaters are coming. Ready to go there again?”
“Way to kill the mood, Chan,” whined Lisa but you went back into the air like you belonged there.
The beaters were chosen after forty minutes into the game. It wasn’t without complaints but Mingyu Kim and Chaeyoung Son were the best. They deserved it, since they almost killed you —twice.
For the seeker, you all had to play again, but somehow you never got tired of it. You were amazed by the time Mark Lee needed to catch the snitch. Eight minutes. He was the fastest boy you ever saw.
When he returned to the ground where everyone was waiting for him, you realized his broom was the fastest of the current year.
Of course, you thought, it helps.
But he truly was the best, the broom couldn’t create talent. You were sure to win all the games with him.
The tryouts finished, you directly went to take a shower and relax in the Gryffindor common room. Your transfiguration homework could wait an hour or two.
Chan sat next to you on the comfortable couch.
“You were amazing today. I couldn’t stop any quaffle you threw.” He was truly impressed by you. Ordinarily, he could stop two or three, but today, you were at your best form.
“Thank you. I practiced during summer with my dad,” you explained. “But are you sure it’s me getting better or you getting sloppy?”
He looked at you in disbelief and it made you giggle. His features softened at the view, he undeniably had a soft spot for you.
If only you could see it, he often thought.
“Hey, you want to spend the day with me next weekend?” offered Chan.
“Sure, what do you want to do?”
“We could revise for the N.E.W.T. at the Three Broomsticks?”
“Like a study date?”
“A—a date?” he choked a bit.
“Yeah, it’s not what you were asking?”
“Oh yes, yes it was.”
Chan felt awkward and stupid for stuttering like that. He wanted to show more assurance but you were making his heart beat so fast he couldn’t help it.
He was saved by the gong. Or more precisely, Jeongin, who needed help for the Lapifors spell. You greeted the younger and they left you.
You had your eyes closed and didn’t open them when you felt someone sitting next to you again.
“When are you going to confess?”
Your eyes opened wide and you looked at the boy.
“What are you even doing here, Seungmin?”
“I came here right after the tryouts to congratulate you and Hyunjin. So congrats. And don’t change the subject,” he grinned.
You sighed, staring at the portrait of the lion above the fireplace.
“Thanks. We have a study date next week,” you simply replied.
“A WHAT? You’re growing up so fast,” he said in an emotional voice, wiping off a non-existent tear from his eye.
“You’re younger than me, silly,” you laughed at his reaction.
“True but still, it’s been years Y/N. It was about time you did something.”
You completely ignored what he just said. “I think he flirted with me before the tryouts. I’m not sure though.”
“…What did he say?”
“He complimented me on my skills and winked at me. I was so flustered, Seungmin, I swear he’s so likable.”
“Whipped.” He giggled shamelessly at your pout.
“What is?” you heard Chan ask from behind you.
From the corner of your eye, you glared at Seungmin for a second, a scared expression on your face, before turning around with an awkward smile.
“Nothing, we were just gossiping,” explained your Ravenclaw friend, saving you from embarrassing yourself.
“Okay, I feel like you’re hiding something from me but I’ll let it pass for now.”
“Thank you,” you breathed then got up. “I have transfiguration homework to do, bye guys.” You literally ran to your room without looking back to avoid any further questions.
“Is everything okay?” you heard Chan ask but didn’t stay to listen to the rest.
“Yeah, so when are you going to confess?”
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
The whole week you were thinking about the study date and when it was time to go, you were a bit nervous, but excited.
When you entered the Three Broomsticks, your eyes wandered around looking for your best friend. You found him upstairs in a corner, two mugs of butterbeer in front of him. His dimples showed when he smiled at you and your heart melted. It was one of the things that made you really happy.  You joined him and started working.
“I spent a really good time with you today. Thank you for helping me with this particularly hard silencing charm. And sorry for practicing on you.”
“It was with pleasure, Y/N. Thank you for your help on my transfiguration homework. I couldn’t see the end of the parchment last night.”
“You want to do this again?”
“I would love to.”
“What about the same day, same time, same table if not already taken?”
“Okay,” he agreed, finishing his butterbeer. His heart was fluttering, he won more alone time with you, like you weren’t already inseparable.
On a table, not far, Felix and Seungmin were talking about the two lovebirds.
“How many months before one of them confesses?”
“It’ll be done by the Christmas holidays. I hope,” Seungmin sighed, sipping his mug of butterbeer.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
And so, every saturday you practiced Quidditch and every sunday you studied at the Three Broomsticks. It was your routine for a few weeks, until the first match opposing Gryffindor to Slytherin, the second weekend of november.
The whole school was present for it, especially your friends in the front row, hyping the hell out of both teams. Jangjun and Felix were the commentators and you were expecting funny comments from them.
Everyone was in good condition and was excited for their first match of the season. The Slytherin team was constituted of the best Slytherin players and Soyeon was a good captain. You weren’t very close but she had helped you before for your Wiggenweld potion the year before, which made you earn an O, so you were grateful.
The teams greeted each other and you talked a bit with Yugyeom, Jeongguk and Changbin. The latter was one of your closest friends so even if you were currently rivals, you gave him a warm hug and wished him good luck.
“Alright, is everybody ready?” asked the referee.
A whole cheer answered back and all the players went into the air. You flew above the referee to be the first to catch the quaffle.
“One, two… THREE. LET’S START,” she shouted before releasing the bludgers and the snitch then throwing the quaffle into the air.
“From the outset, Y/N is taking the quaffle and is going for that goal,” Jangjun commented into the mic.
“They’re flying majestically,” added Felix.
“Mister Lee, please,” scolded the professor next to him.
He apologized and continued, “Y/N gives the quaffle to Lisa, who’s making a sloth grip roll to avoid a bludger sent by Yugyeom!”
“She’s giving the quaffle to Hyunjin and he’s close to the goal. He’s about to strike, San is getting ready and- HE SCORES!”
“Ten-Zero for Gryffindor!” shouted Jangjun excitedly.
About three hours after the beginning of the match, no injuries were to be deplored. Mark was about to catch the snitch but Jeongguk blocked him and Changbin caught it right after. Even with their final effort, Gryffindor won the game. The final score was very close: 240-230.
The team was celebrating with a few friends at the Three Broomsticks after a well-deserved long and hot shower. There were a total of eighteen people gathered around two tables. Engorgement charm had been used on the mugs of butterbeer, unbeknownst of Madam Rosmerta —and she better not know for all of your sakes.
A few hours after the little party, where you all had a very good time, exchanging anecdotes about everyone’s school experience, you went back to school.
On the way, Chan and you were glued to each other like always. Everyone could see the love you had for each other but you.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Two weeks after the second Quidditch match opposing Hufflepuff to Ravenclaw, Seungmin, Hyunjin, Felix and Jeongin gathered in the Room of Requirement to talk about you and Chan while you were both studying at the Three Broomsticks like every sunday.
“We really have to do something to help them. I refuse to see them spend the Yule ball with anyone else,” said Seungmin in a serious tone.
“Or worse: alone,” added Jeongin.
“They’re never going to confess on their own, they’re too afraid to lose each other,” sighed Hyunjin.
“We can help them with that, right?” asked Felix.
“Right. I have an unerring plan,” smirked Seungmin.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
And so the next friday, as you were walking to your next class, a note flew out of nowhere on your charms book saying “meet me in the room of requirement at 7 tonight. chan xx”.
You stared at the note for a whole minute. Lisa had to pull you by the arm to avoid a collision with a running group of first years.
“What’s happening?” inquired Lisa with a raised eyebrow.
“Uh, nothing, I’m seeing Chan tonight.”
“You see Chan everyday. Why are you blushing so hard? Did he ask you out?” She jumped around you excitedly.
Instead of answering her, because you didn’t know exactly what he wanted to tell you, you showed her the note.
“Oh my, this is so cool. If you need help with anything, let me know before it’s too late.” She fled away and you followed her.
“Wait, what is that supposed to mean?”
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Meanwhile, Chan was seated on a low wall with Bambam when the note deposited itself on his hand while he was talking. He stopped himself to read “meet me in the room of requirement at 7 tonight. y/n xx”.
Bambam read it over his shoulder and nudged his friend.
“Tell me you’re going to go.”
“Did I ever ditch on my best friend?”
“Best friend,” he repeated mockingly, “you better dress well for the occasion.”
“What do you mean?”
“Dude, you’re unbelievable,” Bambam face palmed.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
Jeongin was hiding near the door and no one could see him. He was there to make sure you and Chan would enter while everything your friends worked hard for was still present.
Chan was the first to enter the Room of Requirement. He was surprised and amazed by the sight. Birds were flying, candles and flowers were levitating and a table at the center of the room was filled with yours and Chan’s favorite food.
Soon after, you entered the room, looking outside as you closed the door.
“Hey Chan— wow.”
You took the sight in as well. A particular light made your face shine and Chan could swear he fell in love with you once again. Your eyes laid on him and you smiled.
“What did you want to talk about?” you asked, gulping loudly.
“I received a note from you, don’t you have something to say to me?” he raised an eyebrow.
“I received a note from you too, though.”
You watched his reaction, being yourself confused. His smile faded a bit and you worried.
“I see there’s our favorite food, want to eat? I’m starving,” you proposed.
“Sure.”
He sat in front of you but didn’t lay his eyes on the food since you entered. That was the moment Jeongin chose to discreetly leave to join his friends in the Great Hall.
“So, if you didn’t send that note and I didn’t either, who do you think made all of this?” you asked.
“Probably Seungmin. I think the flowers come from him.”
“I agree. I recognize ambrosia, linaria bipartita, red rose and red, pink, orange tulip,” you enumerated, looking around.
“It’s crazy how you can recognize so many flowers.” Once again, he was impressed by you.
“I simply love Herbology. Felix surely helped by asking the elves to cook all this delicious food.”
“I think he and Hyunjin used the levitation charm and the avifors spell.”
“And someone had to stay here until one of us got in. I bet they made Jeongin do it.”
“They did so much, it’s really cool. Hey, look at the birds!” you exclaimed.
They were forming a big heart while flying. How romantic! It suddenly made you realize the meaning behind the flowers and you looked down at Chan. He looked at you at the same time and you stared at each other for a rather long time. You began to speak at the same time as well. Damn synchronization.
“Chan—”
“Y/N—”
“You first.”
“No, you.”
“Okay, I know the meaning behind the flowers.”
“Oh?” he seemed interested to have your insight on them. Truthfully, he was interested in anything you had to say.
“So,” you took a deep breath, “pink tulips mean caring, good wishes, friendship, joyful occasions and confidence. The orange one means understanding, appreciation and truest love. After that, it’s…”
“It’s what?”
“Ahem. Linaria bipartita means… please notice my feelings for you.”
Chan widened his eyes. Was it going to happen through flowers symbolism?
“Red tulip means undying love, passion and perfect love and ambrosia means reciprocated love.”
“Looks like Seungmin knows us too much. I love you.”
“I love you too, Chan.”
“You have no idea how happy I am right now, hearing you say that.” If his red ears and dimpled smile were any indication.
“I love you, I love you, I love you so much Chan, I’ve loved you for so long now,” you chanted, taking his hands in yours over the table.
“Me too. Would you want to go to the Yule Ball with me?”
“Of course I would!”
You both got up at the same time and you hugged tightly. Oh how happy you were at this moment, in your lover’s arms with birds chanting your names… Wait.
“Do you hear what I hear?”
“Yes…”
You looked at the birds. It wasn’t unpleasant to hear. Felix and Jeongin must have taken a lot of their time to teach them so much.
The elves worked hard to make the food and it would be a shame to leave it there. You had a wonderful date that night.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
The night of the Yule Ball, after dancing for two whole hours non-stop with your friends, you went outside to breathe. Chan followed you and put his hand on your waist.
“You look stunning,” he said into your ear.
You turned to him and kissed his lips.
“So are you.”

Genre: fluff, angst, slice of life!au
Triggers: allusions to sex, a hinted toxic relationship (few details are given - it’s more of a relationship that didn’t work out and ended badly, but read at your own risk)

A collection of people who felt like dreams: some who were, and one who was real.

one
[ now playing: onewe – a book in memory ]
Some people are dreams – soft, gentle, like the pink clouds that hang in the sky as the sun rises from the horizon, rose gold fingers of dawn reaching out in the warmest embrace that you never want to end but it is inevitable, of course, because dreams are not reality in the way that reality never ends, and so with that lovely warmth there is heartbreak too, a certain heartbreak that you know will come but that doesn’t stop you from cherishing the warmth of dawn anyway because the rose gold light is worth the coming pain.
Soobin is a dream.
He is slow, sweet, cotton candy in his smile and sunlight in the crinkle of his eyes when he laughs. A single giggle from his lips sends a tingling warmth up your spine but you don’t shiver the way you would if it were anyone else – you never know when he’s going to laugh but when he does it isn’t sudden, isn’t surprising. He has an aura about him that tells you everything even if you don’t realize it consciously, and so it’s easy to fall in love with him fast, so fast you don’t see that you’ve fallen until you already have.
And by then, of course, it’s already too late.
Because Soobin is a dream, a wonderful dream of spun sugar clouds and sparkling magic that powders your skin in morning sunshine. He is the softest touch of dawn in the shift between night and day, the first ray of light that peeks through a gray sky to herald the coming of something new. He is a dream, a lovely dream in the shy curve of his lips when he giggles, in the way he holds you, gently uncertain, when you kiss for the first time. He is the reason they call dawn daybreak – because he breaks through the night with the touch of his fingers against your cheek, chasing away the shadows and darkness with a single smile.
But dawn and day must give way to dusk and night, and just like dreams, what you have with Soobin must end, eventually.
He is real, in the way that thoughts are real, that imagination is real, that memories and dreams and feelings are real. Tangible, perhaps not – you feel his touch whenever you hold hands and whenever you hug and kiss, of course, but it always feels like he is melting into you, becoming one with your body in the loveliest, most intimate way. But just like how you can only describe your emotions, describe the things you remember and the things you imagine, never able to prove that they are true, he is but a dream.
You love him. He loves you. There is no doubt of that, the silent words said in blinding smiles and soft touches of rosy dawn. But like a dream, it must end.
The sunset looks the same as dawn – pink and orange light rippling across the sky, a golden sun hidden partially under the horizon. It is so similar that you almost don’t realize the dream is over. But of course, the sun sinks instead of rising, pink rays fading instead of deepening, and in the last moments where Soobin still looks at you with that soft expression of love in his eyes, you understand.
Dreams are never meant to last. They are vivid, they are soft, they are perfect the way only something so detached from the cold irregularity of reality could be. They are escapes, a castle in the clouds that will shield you, if only for a few moments, from what tries to hurt you on the earth.
From the beginning, Soobin was never going to be the end. You gave him your heart and he took it willingly, even handed his back in exchange – he held it carefully and treasured it, cared for it with a warmth so uniquely him, so uniquely Soobin that no one could ever have captured your heart in the same way.
And in the same way it was only he who could make your heart beat this way, it was only he who could have created the cracks that decorated it after the sunset, when night took over the sky and the dream fell away.
He is first love and heartbreak all at once.
Sometimes when you remember, you wonder if you should have taken that gentle, soft love, knowing how it would end. You knew from the start, in the innocent way Soobin looked into your eyes, that even though he would hold your heart, he would inevitably drop in the end. He wouldn’t mean it, which would make it worse – it wouldn’t be intentional, so you couldn’t hate him even when the sun finally sank below the horizon, leaving you in the cold darkness alone with a heart shattered to pieces at your feet. But in the same way you welcome sleep as an escape from the world, you know that if he came again, you would welcome Soobin into your dreams once more.
Because when the cracks fade, when your heart heals, the lingering warmth of Soobin’s love is still there, faint but still cotton candy sweet, lifting the corners of your lips into a smile that sings of daybreak, of dawn, of that gentlest joy whenever he held you against his chest, arms secure around your waist.
Soobin is a sunrise, rosy fingers of dawn gently sweeping across your skin – tinged with bitterness, yes, the darkness of knowledge that sunset will come, but welcomed all the same because the softness of first love is worth the inevitable heartbreak.
You remember him with a smile.
. . . . .
two
[ now playing: vromance – unlike ]
Some people are dreams – vivid, fleeting, so colorful and so wonderful that you remember them for days, weeks, months after you wake because nothing in reality could be so beautiful as this figment of your mind, but fleeting all the same, disappearing too quickly, leaving you with but a memory wiping from your grasp and the lingering wistfulness of what could have been, if only this were real.
Wooyoung is a dream.
From the moment you meet to the day he finally disappears, he is lovely, vibrant, full of so much life you almost can’t remember how you lived before you met him. He is a beautiful dream, a mural of color splashed across a canvas of your friendship and then your love, tints and hues blooming from bruised lips and marks on necks and laughter, wild, screeching laughter that lingers in the air long after you’ve gone silent.
Follow your dreams, they always said. Follow your dreams and one day, they will become reality.
Lying against him late at night with his arms around you and yours around him, you sometimes believe they might be right.
Because – well, Wooyoung is a dream, but he certainly feels real, sometimes. When he takes your hand, entangles your fingers together and squeezes with all the life in his palms while smiling that brilliant smile that could rival the sun, you feel real, feel whole, feel as though a life could really bloom from a vision as beautiful as this. And yes, maybe he’s a little too perfect to be true, a little too good for an existence upon this blighted earth, but you could do with a little perfection in your life, couldn’t you? With everything else that’s happened, with everything else you’ve undergone, it wouldn’t be amiss for something beautiful to find its way into your home upon this earth. It wouldn’t.
But dreams are fickle. Dreams are fleeting.
And in your chase for perfection in the form of Jung Wooyoung, that is something you forget.
Some dreams end abruptly, cut in the middle of a scene that disappears as soon as you open your eyes. There is an instant of wonder, the transient feeling of having experienced something beyond this world if only for a fleeting moment in time, but once it’s gone it is gone, truly, and you rarely, if ever, wonder about it again.
Other dreams end gradually, pulling you out of consciousness with the gentleness of the sun spilling its soft rays onto your skin with the coming of dawn. And in those dreams, you remember – you remember scenes, you remember moments, you remember a man with a sharp jawline and a mole on his cheek, a man with a high pitched cackle and eyes that crinkled when he smiled, the softest hair and the gentlest touch, even when he grabbed your wrist with undue strength to drag you somewhere new.
When your eyes fully open, you do not forget. You remember.
Forgetting would have hurt less.
Because Wooyoung is a dream, a fleeting curl of wind that brushes against your cheek with a touch reminiscent of angels before he disappears forever, leaving you only with that vanishing jewel of time held between your fingers to remind you of what was, what is, and what could have been. The jewel shimmers with the memory of his grin and his laugh but it is only an imitation, a cruel imitation of the dream that made you believe in it, in perfection, in a blissful existence where he was real.
Only the jewel disappears in your fingers before your very eyes, leaving you to wonder whether or not he truly existed.
He lingers in the air, a witch cackle laugh with a heart and smile warmer than the sun. You feel his touch on your skin, the pressure of his lips against your neck, his nose pressed against your shoulder when he hugged you from behind, a smile blossoming across his lips as he smiled against your back. You hear your name from his voice calling you with so much excitement that you have to turn around, a smile on your face, only to realize he isn’t there.
You remember him. He was more than the imitation that taunts you in harsh, harsh reality. But he was a dream, and dreams are never fully real, so all you can do now is grasp at the colors and laughter fading fast from your memory as you wonder what parts of him were true, if any at all.
Wooyoung is a memory that lingers, a moment in time that stays.
Remembering him hurts.

Some people are dreams – brief, transitory, a flash of time in the best way, something that you perhaps don’t remember in the morning and maybe you forget about it by the next day but that doesn’t change the fact that you woke up with a smile on your face, a fleeting smile from a memory lost to the sky, but it was still there for the perfect amount of time and even though you don’t remember it, you know you had a good dream, and it doesn’t matter that it wasn’t real.
Jangjun is a dream.
You remember bits and pieces of him, a smile here, a curse word there, a loud laugh that always sounded like it could reach the moon not with its volume but with the pure joy and mischief spilling from his lips, lips that were always so soft whenever you reached up to kiss them dark and purple. Strong arms and strong hands that could still hold you with the delicacy with which he would handle a rose bursting into bloom – he brought you a rose once, you remember, a beautifully blooming rose with its thorns carefully pinched off at the expense of his fingertips, fingertips you bandaged even though he laughed and said you didn’t need to, that he would be fine, fingertips whose bandages you kissed lightly with a laugh of your own and an accompanying reminder that I don’t need to, but I want to. Because Jangjun was about wants and desires, a fling without so many emotional strings attached. In that fleeting dream of his, you only ever remember being happy, even in the end.
Because in the end you do part ways, and of course it does hurt a little because parting is always such sweet sorrow, but in this it’s okay, you think, because the sorrow is truly sweet. There is none of the bitterness of first love nor the wistfulness of what could have been, only the warmth of understanding that comes with time, that comes with experience, that comes with knowing this dream came with the right person at the right time – it was perfect as it was. There was nothing more you wanted with it.
Dreams are short. Dreams are brief. Sometimes, the ephemeral aspect makes you feel like falling apart at the seams – what is the point of remembering something that felt so real, felt so tangible, if it will only fall away in the end, leaving you grasping at a fading smile, a lingering laugh that you know will eventually slip between your fingers into the air? But this dream – it’s different. Jangjun smiles as he fades into the air, and as he goes, you find yourself smiling too.
It’s not that this dream doesn’t mean anything to you. It does in the way that all of your dreams do, escapes from reality that bring you moments of bliss. It’s not even that Jangjun means less to you than your other dreams. This one is just different – perhaps, you think, it’s a reminder that not all love must be as deep as the ocean, as far-reaching as the sun to feel real. Because while Jangjun was a dream, he felt real, even if he stayed for far less time than the others.
He is still with you the way your other dreams are, a phantom touch of his rough hands against yours, his ridiculous smile, the faint pressure of his lips against yours and then trailing down your jaw and down your neck, passionate, so passionate you felt like you were fire burning against the embers of his skin. Not real, not truly, because you can only imagine him, can’t do much else than recall those little flashes of a dream that felt like more than a dream in the moment, but where you prayed for other dreams to be reality with every piece of your heart, you find yourself content when the sun sets on Jangjun’s smile, leaving behind only a peal of loud laughter hanging in the air.
Jangjun doesn’t linger too long, flashes into your life and out almost as fast. He is a bolt of lightning, illuminating your world for a perfect moment before he disappears – the shape of that jagged bolt burns itself into your memory, but quickly, it fades.
And that’s okay.
Jangjun is an echo of time, a moment you barely remember but that you know happened.
You don’t think about him often, but when you do, it is with a smile.

[ now playing: cnblue – love cut ]
Some people are dreams – endless, ephemeral, a moment of bliss followed by an inevitable fall into a void of darkness that never ends, never ceases, leaving you to grasp at air with hands you can no longer feel or see because it is as though the dream has swallowed you, swallowed every part of you that mattered, and it’s a dream so there is a voice in the back of your mind whispering that it will end, that it has to end, but for once you can’t remember that as the darkness pulls you in further and further, a monster of the night born from the deepest, basest parts of you, and it doesn’t feel like a dream but you know it isn’t reality because even reality isn’t this horrible, and if it isn’t real it must be a dream, which in the end makes sense because nightmares, after all, are still dreams.
Changmin is a dream.
He is a whirlwind, a tornado of passion that leaves you breathless from the moment you see him, take in the dark hair and sharp eyes that seem to pierce your soul. The curve of his lips is dangerous, you know from the second your bodies collide in a dance that seems to have been choreographed just for you, but his hands are warm and his eyes are sparkling and all you can feel is your heart beating faster and faster the longer you stay with your lips pressed to his skin to the point that you truly believe you can have this, this fiery warmth and piercing love you see in Changmin’s gaze when he looks you in the eye (he would never look at you anywhere else, would never lie because that isn’t him and you love it, you love him).
But not all dreams can be sunrises and sunsets, vivid colors and beauty laced in every scene. Some are creatures of the inky darkness, sharp teeth and eyes that lure you in with the promise of something thrilling, and thrilling it is but also painful, harmful, a lesson taught in thorns caught in your skin as you try to break free from its bonds.
You don’t know when the dream became a nightmare, or whether it became one or not – perhaps it was always a nightmare and you simply didn’t realize it at the start. Even to the end, Changmin still holds you close, his warmth bleeding into every part of your body, and that – that is what makes it so hard to climb out of the void of nothing in which this nightmare has trapped you.
Because the greatest traps are not made of metal bars crisscrossed over the skeleton of a cage. They are those of the mind, those that pin you with the belief that it can get better, it has to get better, this cannot last forever –
It can. Easily.
Sometimes you wonder if a nightmare is truly a dream. Dreams are transitory, flashes of time meant to feel real but not truly meant to be. But nightmares – nightmares could last forever if they so wanted, could keep you trapped in the gnashing teeth of the monster of darkness from which they are born. In Changmin’s arms, his lips pressed soft to your throat and then your chest and then lower, lower, as he whispers the poisoned words I love you against your skin, you are weak, after all, weak to him, weak to the world, weak to the reminder that a nightmare is but one form of a dream, that you can break away if so needed.
And that is it. Nightmares are dreams. They only feel endless – they are not really. And it is with a gasp and a cry that you finally remember this, finally tear yourself from Changmin’s fiery grasp, leaving your cold body to shudder in the consuming void, slowly regaining the warmth you once feared you had lost forever.
But the dream isn’t over, the sun not yet risen to mark the coming of day. He still has arms, this nightmare, arms that reach out with warmth in their hands that promise regret, promise change, promise sweet things with tears in his eyes that look real, that feel so real, and if Changmin wasn’t but a dream you might have given him a chance, truly, because that would mean those tears were real, that there was a chance that a light could shine in this void of darkness.
Except he is a dream. A nightmare. Something you want to escape, need to escape, if you are ever to wake up and face another day to dream once more.
The nightmare ends with a scream and a shout and a whirlwind of words that tear through your mind in a dizzying twist, spinning and spinning until all you can see is a blurred mess of tears bleeding through your eyes when you finally wake up to find them streaming down your face. You’re sure he’s crying too as tear yourself away, crying tears as true as the ones on your cheeks, but in the moment all you can do is find relief in the fact that the nightmare is over.
But while the dream has ended, the sun risen for a new day, the void still remains. And while you wish you could vault out of it with feet as light as air, you can only keep climbing through the mess of memories threatening to swallow you in another nightmare at any minute.
You want to forget. Ache to forget. But where other dreams fade into the air unwillingly, you remember every moment with him.
Changmin is a nightmare, a dream of darkness and tears and an endless void out of you’re still climbing, nails ground and chipped to their beds where you’ve clung to the walls for too long.
Remembering him makes you cry.

interlude
[ now playing: oneus – incomplete ]
Watercolors feel like a little like dreams. The paints can be so vivid but at the same time so soft, blending into one another in a blur of color that whirls past like the scenes of a moment that only existed in the unconscious night, not to be seen during the light of day.
The painting in front of you feels like a dream, blurry memories spilled across the canvas – four sections loosely laid out, each blending into the next. They are distinct, each clearly their own, but the gradient of colors that spill from one scene to another reminds you that they were all dreams, all your own dreams, blurred over the years but pieces still fresh in your memory. A hand reaching out of pink clouds tinged with gold fading into deepest blue, a laugh audible in the splash of waves against the shore. A cheerful sun sparkling with joy reaching tentative rays into a void of black, dark eyes peeking out of the shadows.
You sit back. Stare. Let your gaze wander over the journey of dreams your mind has taken and the lessons learned from each of them.
Soobin: the joy of first love. Your hand finds its place over your heart and you can still feel the cracks there from when he dropped your heart by accident, shattering it to the ground when he left. But the pain is but an echo, the scars faded with time. You know now that the beauty of your love was worth the heartbreak, and that is what matters. You learned to heal.
Wooyoung: the pain of what if. Your fingers trace over the blue ocean, his laugh lingering in the sea foam splashing up from the waves. You can still hear him, and even now, your heart aches a bit. But your mind no longer turns to thoughts of what could have been if things had gone a different way, and that is what matters. You learned to live.
Jangjun: the joy of desire. Your lips curve into a smile as memories of sunshine fill your mind. His face has faded from your mind a little, but you still remember the gentleness woven through the strength of his hands, the fleeting love with which he touched your skin. He was only a moment, but that is what matters. You learned to want.
Changmin: the pain of why. Your throat constricts at the sight of the dark void, sharp eyes peering through the night. He haunts you even now, memories of your last nightmare still fresh in your mind. You remember passion and poison, toxic love bleeding through your veins. He was pleasure and pain, and that is what matters. You learned to leave.
Four dreams. Four lessons. You study the painting, colors splashed across the paper. To many, it might look like a journey ended, but something tells you it isn’t over. Or maybe you just don’t want it to be over – don’t want it to end with inky darkness still tugging you into the depths of night.
But that’s okay, you think. That’s fine. Because they are your dreams, your journey.
And if you don’t want it to end just yet, then so be it.
Light colors don’t work too well over dark, a lesson you learn the hard way as you swipe your brush over the edge of darkness on the far side of the paper. The transparency of the paints doesn’t let the color show as much as you might like, and it takes a while before a little yellow glow finally begins to appear in the void, faint but visible, a ray of light spilling through the night.
You look at the painting again. Soft pink, deepest blue, golden yellow, pitch black stare back – a journey started but certainly not ended, made clear by the vision of light at the end of the tunnel.
You put down the brush. A small smile finds its way across your lips. It tastes a little like pain and uncertainty, but a little bit like hope, too.

[ now playing: lucy – run to you ]
Some people are dreams – pristine, perfect, too carefully crafted to truly be any part of reality because nothing that is real could ever be so flawless, so shining and sparkling and immaculate that it almost feels as though your skin would burn if you dared touch them, gods and goddesses as they are from the heavens above, and it is with that knowledge that you know you could never be with them forever the way you might want because while you are grounded in earth, they fly high in the sky, and no matter how you reach for them they will always flit away from your grasp, leaving behind only memories of something you want but know you can never have.
Seungmin is not a dream.
He looks perfect when you meet him, all warm eyes and sweet smiles that feel like a blanket sinking soft over your shoulders on a cold winter’s day. He even sounds perfect, voice gentle even in its teasing words that nip at your skin playfully, pulling a laugh from your lips before you even realize. He feels like a dream, so much so that you almost resign yourself to a love that won’t last, that will fade or turn sour like the dreams and nightmares you’ve had in the past. The first time he comes close, fingers brushing against yours, you pull away – the nightmare is still fresh in your memory as are all the heartbreaks from dreams that never lasted.
But Seungmin reaches out again. And again. And again and again and again, waiting for you to place your palm in his, let his fingers close around your hand and bring you close, close enough to see where he stands, feet planted firmly on the ground.
He does not fly high in the sky, soar through clouds beyond the reach of your vision. He stands on the earth next to you, gazing at you with fearless eyes, and suddenly you see that he is not perfect. Not flawless. Far from it, really.
You only love him more for it.
There is beauty in sculpted bodies and honeyed words, beauty that is easy, so easy to fall in love with whether they are bathed in subtle rosy clouds or the alluring mystery of the dark, ocean waves deep and blue or sunshine so golden you feel as though you yourself have begun to shine. But there is beauty in what the world calls flaws, what the heavens call imperfection – tiny moles, scattered freckles, a voice that rises a little too high or dips a little too low or that cracks in fits of rage or laughter, hands that don’t quite fit perfectly with yours in the way that romance novels say they should, but all of that means that he is real. He is here. He will stay.
Dreams are jewels of time, gems that fade into memory and are not meant to stay, are meant only for brief departures from reality – ephemeral, inconstant, transient. You remember them. You will always remember them even as the details fade from your mind – they happened, you know, but they will never come again.
Reality is continuous, a river of time that flows slowly or quickly depending on its mood but that never completely stops. It is constant, a never ending story of the warmth in Seungmin’s smile and the press of his rough hands against yours, your lips pressing soft to his. You remember him and you always will, but while the details may fade like the memories of your dreams, you only need look to your side to remind yourself of them because he is there. Always.
Seungmin is constancy, imperfection written in the lovely sparkle of his eyes that do not blur with the shine of dreams. His edges are sharp, defined, and you do not worry that he will disappear if you look away for a moment too long – he will stay, you know, rooted to the ground with you, always there to hold your hand in his, fingers laced together in yours, ready to give you a smile or a laugh along with a teasing word or a kiss of comfort if the mood calls for it. He is a jewel, yes, but not a sparkle of time that fades before your very eyes. He is that flowing river condensed into a gem that he carefully places at the base of your throat within easy reach, always there to remind that he is here.
Some people are dreams. You cherish some, push away others, but remember them all even as their edges blur with the clouds of the heavens, leaving behind only hazy memories of pink and blue and gold and black that you know existed but can’t quite prove. They were not real. They were too perfect to be.
But some people –
Some people are real, imperfect perfection rooted to the earth.
Seungmin’s body does not blur into the air. His eyes do not shine with the purity of the white clouds above. You raise a hand and you can touch him without fear that he will fade beneath your fingers, for he is real, he is warm, and he exists where you do. Nowhere else.
“This feels like a dream,” you tell him the day he slips the ring on your finger, a small, constant jewel sparkling in the setting sun. He laughs and you know what he’ll say before he even opens his mouth, but you let him say it anyway as you fight back the pressure building behind your eyes.
“I know.” His hand rises, brushes a tear from your cheek. “But this is real. I swear.”
Your words are almost a whisper, a wisp of wind floating away into the sky. “You’re real?”
“Yes.” The smile in Seungmin’s eyes is a promise. “You know I am.”

so that’s how you felt. // lee daeyeol (requested)
Tumblr media
🌟 pairing:: lee daeyeol x reader 🌟 genre:: fluff, idol!daeyeol, idol!reader 🌟 summary:: being an idol at woollim has it’s ups and downs, but every single time you go to the conveinece store, it just so happens that daeyeol is only there when you are.
a/n:: this is so short i’m sorry !!   ——————————————————————————
“are you going to practice today?” i looked up from my phone groaning that i really didn’t want to go to practice. yesterday we had a hardcore workout and now i was so sore i barely wanted to do anything at all.
“i don’t want to.” i groaned kicking my legs while i was laying flat on the ground. i looked around to see my group already collapsed on the ground. i needed to get something done today.
“i’m getting something to eat. everyone wants their usual?” i stood up seeing all of them nodding at me before i walked out of the door smiling. i then walked over to the store to buy everyone’s snacks. when i walked in, it was just me and the cashier, well until he walked in.
i picked up a basket, then started picking up one snack for each member, then stopped when there was a body in front of me. i lifted my eyes after counting all of the snacks in my basket. i smiled when i realized who it was.
“hey y/n.” daeyeol smiled putting his hand to lean up against the shelf. i laughed rolling my eyes grabbing one of the chocolate bars that was place right behind him. i replied with a smile and a quick hi. when i walked to the cashier, he kept staring at me from behind. i laughed the entire time then turned to look at him when the cashiers started scanning my stuff.
“hi yeol. did you need something?” i giggled turning completely to face him before rolling my eyes when he shook his head. i turned back around to pay, grabbed the two bags, then started walking out of the store. he walked up behind me taking the bag out of my hand.
“y/n wait.” he pulled my free hand back making me swing the bag around. i turned bright red before i could realize anything else. i looked up into his eyes which then he put his arm around my waist.
“w-what’s wrong?” i darted my eyes around the hallway, and he stopped me. he shrugged leaning closer to me so that our faces were literally inches away. i thought that he was going to kiss me, but i was too focused on looking at every single one of his features to even think about that.
“you tell me what’s wrong.”
“nothing.” i shook my head but i knew that he saw right through me. even i knew that i didn’t sound very convincing. i couldn’t even convince myself, forget daeyeol. i thought i could get away without confessing, but boy was i wrong.
“liar. you’ve been hiding something right?” he shouted after me when i was already turning around to walk away from him. i wanted to stay away from him because today, i already said all the wrong things. i swore in front of our choreographer. and it wasn’t just one word. it was a whole sentence of constant swears.
“y/n tell me. i want to help you.” he was texting me, calling me, chasing me around the entire company trying to help me with whatever he thought i was going through. i didn’t think that he would find out, until i opened my mouth. when he walked into the practice room with all his members so that we could share dances, he automatically walked up to me.
“please y/n, what’s wrong?” i wasn’t going to do it in front of golcha but i guess i had no other choice but to do it in front of them. i took a deep breath, rolled my eyes and looked up at him.
“okay i’ll tell you my problem. i like you way too much than i’m supposed to be. every time you go on stage, all i can see is you. you’re everything that i’ve ever wanted but we’re not allowed to be together. it hurts me that every single day i see you in the hallway and i can’t do shit about it. is that enough for you? do you want more?”

requested by: @karishmahuss
pairing: jangjun x reader
words count: 1013
genre: fluff
prompts: 19. “How do I make you love me again?” + 56. “I remember practicing how to ask you out in the mirror.” + 65. “I don’t know if I want to yell at you or kiss you.”
a/n: hello💗 i’m sorry for posting this so late, it took me some time to work on it ㅠ i didn’t reply to the request you sent me because it was a submission to the blog, not an ask, so it was kind of a problem🥲 i hope you’ll like this, thanks for requesting and for waiting for such a long time (this was actually one of the first requests i gotㅠ) 💗
Tumblr media
Dating Jangjun was something you weren’t really expecting to happen. If someone had asked you “what is the most irrational and impossible thing that could ever happen to you?”, you would’ve surely said “dating Jangjun”. It’s not like you thought you weren’t enough for him - actually, he should’ve thanked you for allowing him to ask you out on a date for the first time -, but you weren’t really sure about the outcome of this relationship; sure, he was one of the nicest person you had ever met and he literally made you walk on cloud nine, but there was one thing you were sure about and it was that sooner or later your different natures were bound to collide. Even if the first months of dating went really well, you weren’t really surprised to realize that something was about to happen. You could feel that something was off: Jangjun hardly ever texted you anymore, he didn’t spend a lot of time at home and stopped asking you out on silly dates like he would always do in the previous months. At first, you tried to convince yourself that it was just your imagination and that you shouldn’t have worried about such frivolous things. You got used to Jangjun’s absence, thinking it was something temporary that would have gone away as soon as his busy schedules would have been over.
This wasn’t exactly what happened, though. On a cold night of January, while you were laying on the sofa of the living room watching a drama, Jangjun came back from practice.
“Hey.” You said, as he entered the apartment. He looked extremely tired.
“Hey.” He replied, taking his shoes off. Suddenly there was an awkward silence between the two of you.
“I left you dinner in the kitchen.” You said, after a while. You put your earphones on and went back to watching the drama. Jangjun headed to the kitchen and, after less than a minute, he came back.
“How many times do I have to tell you that I don’t like that kind of ramyeon?” He angrily said, violently removing one of your earphones. You stared at him in disbelief.
“Excuse me?” You managed to reply.
“It’s like you don’t know me at all.” He went on. “Do you even know what I am like? I could walk by you and you probably wouldn’t recognize me.”
His words hurt you, especially after all the pain you had to endure because of him. You got up from the sofa and faced him. “You know what? You’re right!” You started yelling. “You’re so damn right! It feels like you’re a stranger to me and my only fault is that I have allowed you to make me feel like shit for the past few weeks!”
The fight lasted for some time, until Jangjun sighed loudly, gave you one last look, turned his back and went out of the door. Your last memory of him is his back heading out of the apartment.
It has been about a month since that fight and the last time you met Jangjun. You haven’t talked, called or texted each other ever since then. The fight affected your mental health and you’re still trying to recover from it and the feelings you have been experiencing ever since that night. Thinking makes it hard to sleep at night, and everyone - if only you had the strength to go out and meet other people - could tell you’re having sleepless nights only by taking a look at the bags under your eyes.
It’s 4 AM and you are in the kitchen for the third time on that night looking for some ice cream to keep you company. “Food will never leave me.” You think, while you’re looking for a spoon. You sit on the sofa holding the cup of ice cream and start looking for the remote control of the television; suddenly, the doorbell rings. You take a look at the clock: it’s only a few minutes after 4 AM. You get to the door on tiptoe and stick your ear to it, trying to find out who is outside of it.
Suddenly, your heart drops. “Y/N, it’s me.” A familiar voice says. “It’s Jangjun.”
You shyly open the door and stare at his face trying not to show your disbelief.
He looks at you from head to toe. “Someone hasn’t been sleeping, huh?”
You blink twice, and move to the side to let him in. It’s the first time you’ve seen him being this quiet. He walks to the middle of the room and stands there, waiting for you to say or do something. As you stay there, next to the door, he clears his throat. “How do I make you love me again?”
Your eyes grow wide and you stare at him in disbelief. “Huh?”
“I’m serious.” He continues, slowly walking up to you. “I am a complete idiot.”
“It’s not like I’d disagree with you.” You say, making him smile. He takes your hand.
“I remember practicing how to ask you out in the mirror.” He says, looking at you with a sweet gaze. “The boys at the dorm always made fun of me.” You blush. “This time I have practiced how to beg you for your pardon.”
“I think you should’ve practiced harder.” You reply, crossing your arms.
“Well, at least you let me in. It’s not like I have already failed.” He says, shrugging. “My dear Y/N, love of my life, would you please forgive me for my attitude?”
“This won’t work with me.” You say, rolling your eyes. “First off, give me a good explanation of why you acted that way.”
He scratches his head. “I think the hectic schedule made me lose my mind.” He explains. “I should’ve focused on good things only. Like loving and worshiping you.”
You giggle. “You’re really stupid.” You say, biting your lip
“Does this mean I’m forgiven?” He asks.
You cross your arms. “Actually, I don’t know if I want to yell at you or kiss you.”
