Birth-date || Melody & Leon

[★] ---- Melody twists her face in frustration as she stands on her toes, trying (and failing) to reach a book that sat on the highest shelf of her bookshelf. After spending what felt like several minutes in that position, Melody begins to hop in place in hopes of grabbing the book that way. While her fingers manage to brush lightly against its spine, that’s as far as she can get, and the girl eventually falls back on her heels with an indignant huff. “Ugh... why do bookcases have to be so stupidly tall!?” Or rather, why did she have to be so ridiculously short? She huffs again, rustling the bangs on her forehead. “Looks like I’m gonna need a chair for this...”

Just as she starts to turn away from the bookcase in search of a chair, a knock sounds out from her front door. Not expecting to have any visitors so early in the morning (if at all), Melody ends up starting in alarm at the suddenness of the noise. This in turn leads to the witch tripping over her own feet and stumbling forward awkwardly, her heel landing right on the toes of the Wooly that had been sleeping at the foot of her bed.

The Wooly lets out a loud yelp of pain then, and Melody immediately kneels down and picks him up in a panic. “O-oh no... I’m so sorry, Pippy...!” She stammers out, frantically petting at his leg as she rushes to the door. “I-I didn’t hurt you too badly, did I? Shhh, shhh... it’s gonna be alright, sweetie. I’ll make it all better soon, okay?” Pippy bleats pathetically in response, and Melody holds him close with one arm while she uses the other to pull the door open. 

“Yes?” She says, looking up at the person who -- for some reason -- decided to visit her so early in the morning, “How can I he--”

“....Huh? What are you doing here?” Melody’s expression immediately changes into one of confusion when she sees Leon, of all people, standing at her doorstep. So early in the day, at that! Coming into the bathhouse just to annoy her was one thing, but coming to her home was just a whole other level of strange. “Do you know what time it is?”

     Summer—the season in which humans flocked to the beach in droves, leaving Pia with little excuse to remain on land. Well, besides the obligations she held to her places of employment. Standing on the docks of Arcadia’s port, the mermaid handed fliers out to passerbys to advertise the one and only Minera Hot Springs.

“Sir! You look like you could use a vacation!” she addressed a tall gentleman with a head of long, green hair,

“Why not pay a visit to Minera Hot Springs and take a dip in our rejuvenating baths?”

Ridin’ The Storm Out || Melody & Leon

[★] ---- Melody sighs deeply as she looks out of the window and into the storm that continued to rage outside. Ugh, thanks to this typhoon she had no customers today, and she was stuck indoors-- that wasn’t even the worst of it, either! All this rainwater would most definitely contaminate the waters in her outdoor baths... she would have to clean them again, re-infuse them with more herbs and medicines, fix up all the overturned and broken bath equipment... so much work to do once all of this was done.

But for now she guessed all she could do was to just wait the storm out. Maybe she could take a nap, or catch up on her studying...

...or do something about the weirdo that had come into her bathhouse, despite there being a typhoon raging outside.

Melody sits atop the bathhouse’s front desk, her legs crossed at the ankles and swinging back and forth as she stares at the man across the room. She eyes him skeptically for a moment before shaking her head and sighing, “Oh, Larry...” she knew what his name really was, of course, but she liked his reaction to that one better, “...I still don’t get why you decided to take a leisurely stroll in the middle of a storm... and why’d you choose to come here, of all places...?”

Not that she was complaining. Leon or no, Melody welcomed any sort of company, as long as it meant she wouldn’t have to sit through the storm alone.

Just Work As Usual || Melody & Leon

[★] ---- Melody hums a cheery tune to herself as she dutifully mops the floors of the bathhouse, not paying attention to anything but her task. Her body moves in tandem with the beat of the song. When the song gets to a high point, Melody twirls in place, using her mop as leverage. Thankful that she hadn’t ended up slipping on the floor that time, she triumphantly pumps a fist.

“Yeah!” She cheers, “I totally got it that time! Maybe I can do it-- a... gain...?” The pink haired girl blinks owlishly when she glances at the door and catches sight of a man standing there. Had... had he been there the whole time? Oh gosh, she really had to stop doing silly things for people to walk in on.

“Ehehe...!” She chuckles awkwardly, sheepishly rubbing the back of her head. “Heya, and welcome to the Laga Springs! How can I help you, sir...?”

The Great Beast Master Leon Karnak has arrived!~ He'll be staying at the ever so lovely Three Sisters Inn room H08 in Arcadia and will be working at the Dragon King Shrine as a humble employee~ B)
