honestly? i really only left my previous fandom because all my friends at the time were leaving or had already moved on. the part of the fandom itself that i involved myself in overall was really chill and fun to be around. i simply had no desire to stick around once all my friends were gone so i jumped ship myself because? hey why not.

7. Things that you will not tolerate?

anon hate, stalking and harassment are the biggest offenders that i won’t tolerate. i’ve dealt with all of these before myself and have also seen it happen to friends countless times. there’s a few subject matters that if untagged and my tag blocker doesn’t catch that i won’t tolerate seeing, but…thankfully it’s one people know a lot of roleplayers take issue with so it’s generally tagged. i won’t disclose those here for my own sake, but point it is there are ones i don’t tolerate.

deep breath…there’s a few different concepts that i could go on about here but i’ll go with the one that grinds my gears the most. and that my friends, would be the ever damning “mary sue” concept that revolves around ocs. i’ve run many an oc blog in my time, in fact that’s how i’ve spent my time roleplaying in most of the fandoms i’ve been in. it really wasn’t until i first picked up camilla over two years ago when i joined the fire emblem fandom that i had ever genuinely gave rping a canon character a try. so…needless to say, i have a lot of experience in trying to write ocs while avoiding the finger pointing and “mary sue” screams being thrown at me. i get that the name exists for a reason and believe that yes it…probably should be used for characters that genuinely fall under the namesake’s stereotype. like..but in a constructive way, yknow? but i’ve seen one too many toss that name at ocs  (  not only mine in the past but others as well  )  that honestly? didn’t fit the bill  —  not even close in most cases. 

it shouldn’t be a crime for someone to write an oc that’s really good at some things. it shouldn’t be a crime to write an oc that has a decent sized skill range without being seen as “being perfect at everything” or untouchable. it shouldn’t be a crime to write a kind, lovable oc. it shouldn’t be a crime to write an oc however the fuck the writer wants to and nobody has the right to ruin that experience for anybody. constructive criticism is a crucial thing, but it’s something that people seldom use these days when it comes to ocs and it’s??? heartbreaking in all honesty. and it’s an issue that is popularly ignored. just let people write their ocs how they wanna as it doesn’t affect you personally ffs. don’t go getting up in someone’s face and potentially ruin writing or being creative for them.

i’ve seen it happen. god i’ve seen one too many writers give up on writing bc of harassment they’ve received over their ocs. it needs to stop. the “mary sue” trigger fingers need to let the fuck up and chill. people need to stop feeling the need to tear apart anything creative and new that someone contributes to the canon of a fandom and just??? let people be, man.

Long story short, my blog is marked 18+ in the description (which it already is), I’ll think about maybe sprinkling some more tags on content, and other than that... eh... nothing else will really change almost like I was doing nothing wrong to begin with and this is all just a collective waist of everyone’s time for the most part that did nothing but waist time, made you feel good and made a lot of people very disappointed and  very cross.
