The Fire Aces!!! Lets first discuss the fire element. Fire is action, its movement, its passion, its that spark of creativity that inspires us to take the action. Its more than a thought. Its that fire burning in the pit of your stomach that says, “Go! Get up and do it!!”. Because of this the fire element can be associated with our self-expression. The things we do, consciously and subconsciously, show who we really are at a soul level. Therefore the fire element can be related to work and business, if our work requires our artistic touch. Also, it refers to our hobbies, the things we are passionate about doing. Fire is an active, male energy. Aces start the suit, so they represent new beginnings and potential for new beginnings. Each suit reads like a timeline, going from the Ace up to the 10. Each suit is a journey. Each card represents where you are at in a specific journey. Remember, we are in the Minor Arcana, so this is not your big life journey. These are the smaller steps that make up the whole lifes journey.

You can see that every deck is different in the way they portray the Fire element, but they usually always have some form of movement (or potential movement), some type of action. The 3 decks I have selected to work with are The Angel Tarot by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine; the Shadowscapes Tarot by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law and Barbara Moore; and the Easy Tarot (a.k.a. Gilded Tarot) by Josephine Ellershaw.
