…. i said dawn’s team was gonna be massively different in the tags but. ngl i have zero ideas besides removing togekiss or quilava to make room for ambipom

trying to imagine pokeani gen 4 team rewrites... and tbh... while i'd tweak all the other ash teams. i really don't think i'd change a single thing about his gen 4 team besides erasing gible entirely (or moving him to iris. she gets a gible anyways, just make it a composite character situation)... like i wouldn't even evolve buizel tbh. (although that's partly because i don't really care for floatzel as much)

briefly considered moving torterra to brock so it doesn't get overshadowed by infernape, but ehhhhh. i really can't see ash with another gen 4 grass type besides maybeeee tangrowth? i think i'd just ensure that torterra doesn't get shafted so hard when it evolves.

#leaning towards removing togekiss bc like. thats not dawns pokemon. i dont register it half the time #it was basically just a handout at the tail end of the show #my only thing is…. i love the idea of her being a composite character with the evil togepi #so shes caught a little earlier and we can actually see her develop with dawn #and also we get to have an unhinged togekiss which i think is funny #i also cant think of anything id change to her team beyond that #buneary and pachirisu are iconic to me and while i considered swapping pach for a luxio #i think its fine to wait til clemont gets his luxray #i also grew to like her mamoswine a lot on the last rewatch #i think its a great unconventional mon for her to have #maybe ambipom can learn a fire type move #and cyndaquil can go to brock #speaking of brock…. hmmmm i like sudowoodo as his ace and ofc croagunk and happiny are iconic #but he can have quilava too to boost him a bit.
