Between Redguard and ESO I’m really starting to love redguards and Hammerfell, but I’m crossing my fingers we get some soft retcons or changes for tes 6 (assuming it is in Hammerfell) because they have way too many in-universe historical and cultural similarities to the nords imo

#like they also have some cool unique stuff going on #but also both groups came to Tamriel from a recently inhospitable continent and then wiped out the local elven populations where they #landed on Tamriel #they both have this thing where it is most honorable to die in battle #(which I don’t mind that much as a similarity but it is another one)#they both (as of the 4th era) have an empire sympathetic and anti-empire factions #which at least the crowns and forebears have a longer deeper cultural history #but it does mean we might get civil war part 2 for tes 6 #I just want them to change up the elf genocide thing you can only do that so many times before it makes me raise an eyebrow at the writers #mine #lean into the Japanese samurai thing please Bethesda #and lean into the parts of the crown/forebear conflict that don’t have to do with the empire
