ok bb26 preseason picks lets go
matt just gives me big comp threat himbo vibes. he seems (SEEMS) earnest and nice, and as much as people are focused on his anti super fan comment i give him points for it. if you know strategy and show history are not gonna be your strong suits, then sure. fear those players and get them out! makes sense to me. would like it if he ends up in an outsiders alliance given how he talked, but i mean. look at him. one way ticket to the popular kids circle.
joseph seems like he knows EXACTLY what show he's on and is here to win it. laid back enough he could blend into the background, hiding behind the biggest physical threats and louder personalities. the moustache is disarming in a good way. gives me andy wearing strategically non-aggressive shirts. i hope i don't hear from joseph for WEEKS and he reemerges halfway through the game in a strong position. play boring at first buddy i believe in you.
tucker grew on me the more i watched his interview. feels like a really big 'he's gonna either dominate or be out immediately' situation. very fun to watch him talk. i agree with taran's comments though about how his strengths might not work in his favour—he's almost TOO obviously capable... also. i found his job title really amusing. like obviously i don't know his full situation, but seeing 'marketing & sales exec' then looking up his insta to find him exclusively doing modelling shoots for rolex and shit was just like ah. sure!!! why the fuck did i think he was gonna be some cubicle worker.
#honourable mentions that caught my eye are 'boss babe' (lisa) who i don't think people are giving enough credit#quinn who i think is going to crash and burn HARD but it'll be fun to watch#leah was on my radar until she starting going on about being there to make friends and play honestly#and cedric who i doubt would win but feels like he could sneak along to late game#my top 3 has a distressing lack of girls :(#i really liked t’kor and will be actively rooting for her#but her answers just didn't scream 'going to win' to me. prove me wrong pleaseeee

ASK US A QUESTION LIST
You couldn’t believe you had managed to be roped into attending the end of the year party at Chuck Clayton’s house. Somehow your friends had dragged into the house raging with music, teenage hormones, alcohol and typical high school stupidity. You liked attending parties because they were fun but only when someone respecting women and men alike were throwing it. Not some wannabe lady killer with only his daddy as the reasoning behind his popularity.
It didn’t help that Chuck Clayton had sexual harrassed your childhood best friend creating a mess of emotions and a lawsuit. It was no secret that Dorothy, nicknamed Dot, was from a family financial unable to go throw a lawsuit and the humilation for their daughter. The next day Dot Smith and her family cleared their house and moved away. You hated Chuck for pushing your friend to leaving.
“Drink?” Jacy asked with sinister red painted lips. You sniffed the cup in question before taking it, Jacy knew what you drank and how keg beer was shitty tasting for you.
“Thanks.” You smiled, “Where’s Alexis?”
“With her crush. They’re so going to be together by July.”
“Everyone knows that but them. Cliche best friends blind to the others feelings.” You grinned happily.
“I heard the Blossoms will be here. I know how you and Jason are friendly.”
“I borrowed his pen once. Don’t go planning a wedding.” You giggled knowing that Jacy had wishes for you to get the guy, “Besides Cheryl would never approve of a low level Y/L/N dating her brother.”
“Sometimes I wonder about them.” Jacy hummed, “Well I’m going to go goggle Reggie shirtless in the pool. See you later!”
The next hour went with you mingling with people and drinking the cups your friends placed in your hands. By midnight you were a little past wasted with more alcohol coming and you didn’t notice the way your friends smiled to each other when they spotted Jason coming inside. Without Cheryl.
“Hey Jason! Y/N was looking for you earlier.” Jacy grinned towards the popular red head.
“Where is she?”
“Kitchen.”
Jason, following their directions, happened to walk in on Chuck beginning to approach you in the way he recognized quickly. There was a way to how Chuck changed when there was a female involved, he swaggered and oozed confidence. Jason was angry that Chuck set his eyes on a wasted female and more so that it was you.
“Hey Y/N.” Chuck smouldered leaning against the counter.
“Can I help you Clayton?”
“Yeah. I have a lump that needs to be looked at. I heard your mother was a nurse, I bet she passed on more than her gorgeous looks.”
“No thanks.” You grumbled blinking, “I don’t want any medical problems from you.”
“Come on Baby, don’t be like that.”
“Leave her alone Chuck.” Jason said walking towards you, “She said no.”
“I didn’t hear a distinct no. Butt out Blossom or you won’t be on the field.” Chuck glared.
“Threaten me and you’ll be the one running from town. Seeing as your sexual needs drove a girl from her hometown.” Jason glared, “Need I remind you who I am? Do you really want to threaten a Blossom?”
“Whatever. She isn’t worth it. Not enough ass or boobs on her for me.” Chuck grunted shoving his shoulder against a stone wall Jason.
He observed on you swayed on your feet barely able to focus your eyes on anything. Jason wasn’t known to go out of his way for people but it was different with you. The minute your gorgeous coloured eyes looked at him for a pen he was gone.
“Y/N, are you okay?” He questioned.
“Yeah. Are you a Blossom triplet?” You hiccuped confused. You swore he was familiar but also a stranger, “I once borrowed a pen from Jason. Man would I like to run my fingers through his ginger hair.”
“Really?” Jason grinned, “I’m sure he would enjoy that also.”
“Too bad everyone thinks he fucking his twin.” You chortled, “Really is a shame. I’d love to go out with him.”
“I would too.” He smiled avoiding even thinking about the first part of the sentence you spoke, “Maybe we should get you home.”
“Home is where the heart is. My home is many places. My parents, and Dot. But even Thornhill is like home because that’s where Jason lives.”
“Where is home exactly?” Jason questioned slipping his arm around your waist.
“Too many places. I’m tired.” You yawned slowly losing function of your body. Jason slid his other arm below your knees to swing you into his arms bridal style.
“Where do your parents live?”
“M’ tired.” You groaned slipping into an odd world of colours of reds and the Blossom mansion. Why you were dreaming of the place you weren’t sure of being the star of the dream wasn’t that bad.
Jason was at a loss when he saw most of the party had emptied out leaving passed out teenagers and the loud moaning from many rooms. He knew the book would have more entries and leering would happen but first he needed to help you. He had no information where you lived so he did the only think he could do.
Cheryl was with their parents in a neighbouring town for business leaving his home quiet except for his granny yelling at the maid. He carefully maneuvered you into his bedroom before turning the lock on his door and changing in the bathroom. He didn’t want to chance you waking up to see him naked.
He grabbed one of the unused pillows and a throw blanket that was more expensive that probably your wardrobe he slept on the floor. It was peaceful until he woke up to a scared yet quiet scream.
“What the hell?! Why am I here?” You yelled towards the sleeping lump on the floor.
“I saved you from Chuck last night and you passed out on me. You weren’t giving me your address and your friends left already. I brought you here to be safe.”
“No funny business?” You hesitated.
“None. I changed in the bathroom and slept on the floor all night.” Jason defended before pointing towards a tablet and water on the bedside table, “I brought you medicine and water.”
“Thank you.” You whispered, “For everything. For caring for me.”
“I’d like to care for you more. Would you like to get away from Riverdale and have a date? Where we can just be Jason and Y/N?”
“I’d like that.” You whispered blushing. Who would have thought that you two would end up on each other’s radar just by borrowing a pencil.
“How about some pancakes?” Jason questioned beginning the start of a tradition. Pancakes Saturdays.

Emma grew up in a normal home. At least from the outside. Her mother worked for a publishing company in Miami and her father was a contractor. They spent their days working their 9 to 5 jobs and came home and were a normal loving home. Except for the fact that Kellen was hiding a huge secret from his wife. He came from a family of super heroes. Kellen had the ability to generate force fields, but he’d always kept his ability a secret. When he could, he would use it to protect others, if he was in disguise. But from the moment he first developed his powers, he was told never to reveal his secret identity to others, not even his loved ones, especially since Margaret was in publishing and could easily sell the story, exposing him and their family. And so, when Emma began to develop powers at nine years of age, Kellen brought his daughter into his secret basement and explained to her that it was dangerous to reveal this ability to anyone. Even her mother. He had Emma swear that she wouldn’t share her powers with anyone if she wasn’t in disguise. And he would train her in private. This was the rhythm they fell into. Margaret was suspicious of all the time they spent together, but Kellen assured it was normal father/daughter bonding time and it was dismissed.
The time with her parents came to an end she was twelve. They had been taking a family vacation to the beach when it started pouring. Being Floridians, they were not worried about it. Kellen knew how to maneuver their vehicle through the rain on the roads. They were only seven minutes away from the beach when Emma glanced out the window and saw a car speeding towards them. Kellen had been too occupied trying to get the car safely off the road to generate a force field. In a frightened state, Emma could project a shield around herself but failed to make it large enough to cover her parents. The other car, speeding out of control, ran right into the family car, killing the driver on impact. When Emma was pulled out of the car by a police officer, it was clear that neither of her parents had been spared. Everyone was astounded by Emma’s miraculous survival. Not only had she survived, but there wasn’t a scratch on her when she shouldn’t have even lived through the crash. Thankfully it was just chalked up to being a miracle and Emma wasn’t questioned as to why she had survived with so much as a scratch.
After that fatal day, Emma moved in with her grandparents and said little to them for months after the event. She blamed herself for the loss of her parents. It was her fault. And nothing her grandparents said convinced her otherwise, until one day, a few years later, she’d been walking around town on her own and just as a car was about to hit a biker, she used her abilities to save their life. It was then that Emma found how she could make amends and honor the loss of her parents; she’d learn to use her powers and save every life she could. Her grandparents were more reluctant since they spent their lives flying under the radar, so she attended a regular high school, as per their wishes, and continued training under their guidance. However, as soon as she turned eighteen, she applied for Skybourne University. The death of her parents still haunts Emma and growing a backbone has been the hardest challenge. In a way, she’s going against her father and grandparents’ wishes, but it’s the only way she can cope with the events that occurred.

Chapter seven: Bang Bang, My Parents Shot Me Down
So this was how it was going down. Face to face in a rundown motel room in Idaho. This could make or break you. Sam and Dean had made it clear that you couldn’t go off on your own, despite the risk of a demon finding you being low. It was time to find out why.
The brothers were sitting at the table by the front window. Dean actually had the nerve to casually sip a beer. Off track, Y/N, you reminded yourself. You were standing by the beds, running your hand through your hair repeatedly. The brothers hadn’t said anything yet, seemingly waiting for you to go first. Nope, not happening.
“So what’s the deal?” you finally asked. “How- why, did you recognise my name? Because I know you did. And why was the demon interested in you?” After sharing a look with his brother, Dean put his beer down on the table, leaning one arm on each side of the bottle.
“We only know your last name, Ritchie,” he began. “Your family made quite a name for themselves a couple years back. The parents, your parents, I guess, made a public announcement saying they had lost both of their daughters in a break-in that resulted in murder.” You felt your jaw drop. What the hell? They’d lied? But… You snapped your head up to meet Dean’s eyes.
“That doesn’t explain the way you reacted to my name, the way you’ve been acting. You could’ve told me this back in Oregon instead of making me uproot my life like this.”
“We know,” Dean said.
“The story was a fake, we knew that right away,” Sam took over. “Believe it or not, it didn’t even take that story to put your family on our radar. They were kind of notorious even before that.”
“Well, yeah,” you said, confused. “My dad had his own company, built it from scratch, traded internationally…”
“No, not because of that-”
“Daddy dearest wasn’t all that dear, Y/N,” Dean interrupted. “Look, Sam explained how we hunt monsters, right?” You nodded. “Right. So there’s this whole other world humans don’t know about, and the population isn’t exactly small. Add the fact that the promise of power and control is as seductive to monsters as it is for humans, maybe even more, and you’ve got yourself a bargaining chip.” Sam gave a small, distracted nod. He’d gotten up from the table, standing by the window, like he was keeping watch.
“And this has to do with my family, how?” you asked, getting more annoyed by the second.
“Everything, actually,” Sam said, looking away from the window. “While still remaining human, your family traded with the draculas of the world. Your father was especially successful, he worked to build something more for monsters than just living in nests or packs. A hierarchy. This was mostly in Scandinavia and Europe. But unlike his predecessors he wasn’t careful enough to avoid detection from people like me and my brother. Hunters found out about your family, and many started to work against your father. That’s when your sister and you, supposedly, died. We think it really got to your father because he shut down his trade with the monsters and stepped down as CEO of his company after that. No one could find out what actually happened to either you or your sister, until now.”
Tears were running down your face. Your family had covered up your sister’s murder, and killed you along with her.
“What date?” you asked in a low voice, clutching your arms over your chest.
“What?” Sam asked.
“What date?!” you yelled this time. “What date did my parents announce my ‘death’?”
“July 23rd, 2013.”
“Two days,” you whispered. “They couldn’t get rid of me fast enough…” You laughed and turned away from the Winchesters.
“Well at least now I understand the look on your faces when I introduced myself.” You turned back to them, wiping the tears off your cheek. The looks they gave you…
“I don’t want your pity,” you snapped. “I left my family, it was my decision. And I had a damn good reason.”
“Which was?” Dean asked. You scoffed, giving him an incredulous half-smile.
“Really?”
“Darling, I’d say we’ve definitely earned the right to your life story. So talk.” You bit your cheek to stop yourself from going off on him.
“Fine.” You crossed your arms and started tapping your foot. You’d never actually told anyone about what happened to your sister, and if what Sam and Dean had told you was the truth, you and your parents were the only ones who knew the truth. The backpack with your essentials was lying on the bed next to you, and you opened it to take out your journal. You held it in your hands, took a deep breath, and started talking.
“As you know, two years ago my sister died. That’s when everything cracked. My parents weren’t lying when they said she was murdered, but it didn’t happen they way they described. No one broke into our house with the intent to steal anything. No one broke in at all.” A long buried pain made itself known in your chest as you spoke. You hated this, telling perfect strangers about how the most important person in the world to you had died. The tears started running again, and this time you didn’t bother to wipe them off.
“I heard her scream in the other room. I ran as fast as I could to get to her.” You took a shaky breath.
“It didn’t matter, I was too late to do anything. When I got to her room I saw a man standing over her, holding her down on the floor.” The memory started to flash before your eyes. You’d buried it so deep and now you were forced to relive it. “He was… He was pressing his hand into her back. I could hear her ribcage cracking, but she kept screaming. She kept screaming until the man finally broke through to her heart… He ripped it out of her chest.” You didn’t have the strength to look at the brothers, and so kept your eyes on the journal in your hands. You were sobbing now. “It only took a few seconds, I didn’t have time to react, but it felt like minutes, hours. She was already dead when I found my voice and screamed her name. The man looked up, her heart still in his hand and then…” You shuddered. “He just… disappeared. His body just sort of flickered for a moment and then he was gone. The heart disappeared along with him.” Sam and Dean were dead silent. You forced yourself to look up at them when you said the next part.
“I told my parents what had happened, what I’d seen. They shut me down and demanded that I never speak of it again, that they were going to handle it.” Your voice still shook, but now it was from anger. The hypocrisy of the whole thing, it was unbelievable. “I left that night, without looking back, because I couldn’t stay there while trying to convince myself of the truth my parents pushed for. They said the terror I’d felt at seeing my sister die made it seem like the man had just vanished. So, I forced myself to believe them. That their so-called truth was more important than their daughter being dead was the kicker that sent me to the curb. I haven’t heard from them since. I doubt they even know whether I’m alive, much less where I am.
“I overheard your argument in the parking lot at the motel,” you said, which made Dean look up from his hands and Sam look up from the floor. “You were talking about ghosts and it… It got to me. My first thought had been that a ghost killed my sister, and now after spending two years convincing myself otherwise I wasn’t ready to accept it when I heard you talking about it so seriously.” You sighed and turned to sit down on one of the beds. “If I did it would mean my parents did indeed know what happened and didn’t care about my sister at all.”
It was silent for a long time after you finished talking.
“What was her name?” Sam asked suddenly. You looked up at him across the room, smiling lightly through the drying tears.
“Leah.”
