Vous me demandez mon avis sur la mode actuelle, comme ça, simplement?… Voilà bien une idée de femme!… Comme si Fou pouvait professer une opinion sur un pareil sujet, si ondoyant! Tout ce que peut faire un homme de goût, c'est d'admirer ses contemporaines qui passent, et de respecter cet effort martyrisant qu'elles t'imposent pour diversifier à l'infini leur séduisante figure. Je sais que cet effort n'est pas toujours heureux. Mais n'allez pas en incriminer la mode, qui n'y est pour rien. Il y a deux sortes de femmes, celles qui ont du goût… et les autres. Ces dernières ont le génie d'élire parmi les accoutrements du jour celui précisément qui les rendra ridicules.

Il arrive un moment où nous ne remarquons plus combien sont gracieuses les femmes de goût qui portent encore les choses à la mode le mois dernier, mais nous n'avons plus d'yeux que pour leurs malheureuses imitatrices. C'est à ce moment-là qu'une mode est démodée. Il faut la changer.

La question de changer ne se pose pas pour la mode actuelle, puisque sa caractéristique est d'etre au contraire en perpétuelle évolution. Une évolution! que dis-je? un vertige… On n'a pas le temps s'y reconnaitre… Il semble que toutes les les pays soient conviés à nous fournir des motifs d'inspiration sans cesse renouvelés. Et c'est la Perse et bientôt l'Inde, et c'est la Grèce, la Grèce de M. Pierre Loüys, la Grèce à demi orientale d'Alexandrie, et c'est la Turquie et demain ce sera la Chine. Et puis après, on remontera dans le moyen âge. On pillera les musées. La mode actuelle? Ah! bien quinaud celui qui essaierait de s'en moquer! Car il n'aurait pas plutôt achevé sa petite diatribe, si vaine ! que déjà on pourrait lui répondre: « Mais, Monsieur, vous datez, vous vous raillez d'une très vieille chose. Ce que vous trouvez ridicule, il y a au moins quinze jours que nous en avons assez nous-mêmes… » Consultez les caricatures des journaux amusants, et vous serez édifiée. La mode actuelle, qui a le désavantage de coûter très cher à celles qui veulent la suivre, et de les ahurir un peu, a au moins la supériorité d'échapper au ridicule. Elle court si vite!…

Et cependant, me direz-vous, elle existe. On s'habille, que diable ! A vous d'extraire de tout cela la ligne générale, je ne sais pas moi, la synthèse…

Je veux bien. Voyons. Cherchons ensemble. Est-ce la tunique ? Mais non, puisque la bonne moitié des toilettes ne comporte pas de tunique. Est-ce la cape? La cape donne une jolie silhouette, mais que de femmes restent fidèles à des manteaux d'une tout autre forme, et cependant demeurent très dans le train! La note serait-elle donnée par le chapeau? Je veux bien, mais alors lequel? Le petit, le grand, le plat, le large, l'immense, le rond, le roulé en cornet, le lourd ou l'aérien?… Ne cherchez pas plus avant et reconnaissez avec moi que ce qui caractérise la mode actuelle n'est pas tant une ligne plus ou moins souple et gracieuse du vêtement qu'une attitude de la femme qui porte ce vêtement, cette attitude molle, hanchée, abandonnée, douce, passive, un peu veule et que, pour tout dire, j'appellerai l'attitude-tango.

On a souvent dit: « Le ventre s'est beaucoup porté cette année. » Quelle impropriété fâcheuse d'expression! Vous le savez bien, vous qui vous habillez à ravir et vous tenez de même, qu'il n'a jamais été question de ventre, mais qu'il a été énormément question de tango. Or, dans l'exercice de cette danse charmante, et qui, malgré de retentissantes interdictions ecclésiastiques, n'est pas près de disparaître, on se trouve fort souvent le bras en l'air et le talon relevé, portant tout le poids du corps sur un seul côté, ce qui donne aussitôt aux dames un petit air langoureux et vide, une attitude molle et déjetée.

A force de s'adonner à cette danse, nos élégantes ont pris l'habitude de se tenir ainsi dans toutes les autres circonstances de la vie. Et c'est en tanguant qu'elles entrent dans un salon, qu'elles y prennent le thé, qu'elles écoutent les hommes d'esprit, qu'elles regagnent leur automobile, qu'elles essaient leurs robes, qu'elles attendent la balle au tennis, enfin qu'elles vivent.

Rappelez-vous comment elles étaient il y a seulement trois ans. Droites, fières, faisant valoir le moindre pouce de leur taille, et minces, si minces ! C'étaient des Florentines, des reines, d'inaccessibles idoles. Le tango a changé tout cela. Le tango les a humanisées, assouplies, le tango les a brisées.

Il y a même là un profond mystère. Car, enfin, le corset, lui, n'a rien abdiqué de son inflexible nature. Il a beau porter des noms de nixes et d'ondines, de fées, de magiciennes ou de déesses, tout ce qu'on peut dire c'est qu'il commence un peu moins haut pour finir beaucoup plus bas. Comment une femme aussi farouchement maintenue peut-elle trouver le moyen de se pencher avec une langueur si délicieuse? Comment arrive-t-elle à donner l'impression de n'être, en dessous, couverte que de linons impondérables et de souples batistes? Énigme, vous dis-je. Enigme de courage et d'héroïsme. La femme d'aujourd'hui est cent fois plus étonnante que le jeune Spartiate qui souriait tandis qu'il était dévoré par son renard. Cet adolescent, en effet, personne ne lui demandait dé remuer. Mais la femme à la mode, non seulement elle sourit, mais encore elle va et vient, elle penche le buste à droite et à gauche, elle marche, elle danse, cependant qu'un appareil ingénieux et terrible lui froisse les côtes, lui comprime le ventre, lui lacère les jambes, lui meurtrit les genoux. Que lui importe ? Un sourire d'extase illuminant sa figure enivrée, elle s'avance, désarticulée et engageante, suivant toutes les règles de l'attitude, qui lui donne son grand cachet de chic, de l'attitude-tango.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s official! I’m writing a musical!

For those of you in the community who have known me for a while, this is nothing new, but I’ve been working on it for quite awhile, so I finally want to unveil what I have so far.

The show is officially called “Tyrant! The Story of Robespierre” or just “Tyrant!” for short, and here’s my first concept for the album cover below!

Stella and Sadia or le Tango de l’Amour et de la Mort

In today's episode of "Parallels in Starmania that drive me insane", let's talk about Sadia and Stella ! I've always found their connection very intriguing since they never interact in canon, except during the Tango de l'Amour et de la Mort. I really love this song and I get why the 2022 production didn't want to bring it back, but it is a missed opportunity, as the 2022 ending makes it even more relevant by making both their deaths explicit.

In their introduction songs, Stella and Sadia are both defined by how they are perceived.

"Travesti" isn't about who Sadia is, but it is about what she appears as. The entire song is addressed to a general "vous", an imaginary audience composed of "les hommes qui murmurent". She describes herself as both an object of desire and of fear: she is only defined by other people's reactions and perception of her. 

The song basically tells us that Sadia is everything and nothing, all at once, and that we might try but we'll never truly understand what she wants and who she is... (it's been 45 years and I don't think anybody has fully figured it out yet)

The only sentences that are about who she is – not who she isn't or who she is in relation to someone else –  are "Je suis un travesti", "Je suis le sexe démystifié" and "Je suis la violence personnifiée". 

The first one is key to understanding her character through its several possible interpretations, but it is indefinite and doesn’t tell you who she is as much as it tells you she’s pretending to be something or someone. And the last two actually elevate her to the status of allegory: it's almost like she is worshiped as a symbol of transgression and a projection of people’s “secret desires” and “suppressed hatreds”... you know who that reminds me of ?

You guessed it, it's Stella, whom Zéro calls "déesse de l'amour, déesse de la guerre" ! Beyond the recurring religious lexical field and motifs that permeate Stella's storyline, she is also introduced through an external perception, since the first time we hear her name is in a magazine article. She quite literally first appears to us as "une image de magazine" !

Much like Sadia, Stella's first song is addressed to an audience of "vous" – arguably made up of the same men Sadia mentions in hers – and it's about the dichotomy between appearances and "l'envers du décor" (the main theme of Travesti is basically the relationship between "voir" and "savoir"). The only difference is that Sadia controls her image, using it to her advantage, whereas Stella's image controls her. This image keeps eluding her, no matter how hard she tries to keep up, because it is all just smoke and mirrors, and something she was never in control of: her very first line "On m'appelait Baby Doll" is in the passive form, as if the name "Baby Doll" wasn't objectifying enough <3

The reason I'm drawing a parallel between these two (and not with Cristal or Zéro who are also obsessed with their image) is not only the Tango and their reunion in the good old eros/thanatos motif, but also because I feel like their main obstacle in the show is that at some point, people stop looking at them and they can't bear it. 

They are both personas within their world: Stella Spotlight and Sadia are names they chose for themselves and they're both trying their best to hide the truth about who they are behind carefully constructed characters. That’s why when these characters can’t sustain them anymore, they annihilate themselves, in a way.

Stella can't exist without being looked at, she was born when she rose to fame and she dies alone in the dark. There is no Stella without Spotlight ! In the Adieux she wanted to make a grand show of her death and to be an object of consumption and entertainment until the very end. In Le Rêve, her death becomes the only thing that's truly hers and for no one else to see. (Also, I can't stop thinking about the fact that, since the tower exploded, no one ever knew how Stella really died :D)

Sadia is a character created for Johnny and the Etoiles Noires. So it’s fitting that she literally ceases to exist the moment Johnny sees Cristal, and Sadia (as in, whoever she was pretending to be) disappears when she loses her hold on him. The Etoiles Noires can't exist without Sadia but she can't exist without them either. 

Stella and Sadia cross paths at Naziland, just when keeping up pretences has become useless. The Tango is a mysterious song, but it is thematically relevant to the 2022 ending as it is a memento mori sung by the only two characters who know they’re going to die. 

Both Stella and Sadia are walking lies and they die when they exit the stage, leaving their respective images behind to reveal what was underneath. At their core, they’re theatre characters, which means they can not exist without an audience. 

Oh how I hate this musical <3

Storia Di Musica #301 - Weather Report, Mysterious Traveller, 1974

I detrattori di Miles Davis hanno sempre puntato in particolare su un aspetto: non è mai stato un virtuoso del suo strumento, la tromba. Effettivamente l'osservazione ha senso, ma nel progetto musicale di Davis è irrilevante il virtuosismo esecutivo, dato che aveva sempre in mente ben più potenti rappresentazioni musicali. Ma perfino i suoi più acerrimi avversari non hanno mai potuto dire nulla sua sul carisma da band leader e sul suo fiuto di talent scout, capaci di mettere insieme gruppi di musicisti sulla carta perfino antitetici, ma che con lui non solo hanno dato il loro meglio, ma hanno persino continuato e ampliato le sue idee. Questo successe al pianista, tastierista e organista Joe Zawinul e al sassofonista Wayne Shorter. Il secondo è stato il pilastro del secondo grande quintetto davisiano (a cui dedicai il mese celebrativo della 250.ma Storia Di Musica), il primo fu uno degli innesti decisivi in quel piccolo arco di tempo che attraverso i già citati capolavori In A Silent Way e Bitches Brew porta al jazz fusion. Zawinul è il più entusiasta della svolta, e anche quello più aperto alla sperimentazione, Shorter forte della sua esperienza è colui che lo asseconda ma lo tiene anche con un piede per terra. Il mix diviene perfetto quando si aggiunge il musicista cecoslovacco Miroslav Vitouš, virtuoso del contrabasso, formando il trio centrale di una nuova formazione che decidono di chiamare come qualcosa che la gente ricordi facilmente: Weather Report, il bollettino meteo.

Il primo album, omonimo Weather Report, è inciso nel marzo del 1971 in soli tre giorni. Con i tre ci sono il batterista Alphonse Mouzon e i percussionisti Barbara Burton e Don Alias entrambi agli inizi della carriera. Airto Moreira, che invece è l’unico a comparire nelle note di copertina, incide solo qualche intervento. Partono da dove era finita la lezione "elettrica" del Maestro Davis, ma spingendosi verso una spiritualità musicale, con atmosfere ancora più eteree e sfuggenti: la critica ne è rapita, tanto che la rivista Downbeat lo colloca al primo posto come album dell’anno. Il momento creativo è magico, e nello stesso anno pubblicano I Sing The Body Electric. L’album riprende il titolo da un racconto del 1969 dello scrittore Ray Bradbury che, a sua volta lo aveva preso da una composizione poetica di Walt Whitman del 1867. Nell’album compare per la prima volta il sintetizzatore di Zawinul che da qui in avanti caratterizzerà il musicista: Zawinul ne diventerà un pioniere, tanto che alcune grandi aziende produttrici se lo contenderanno sia come testimonial sia proprio come sperimentatore, e molte innovazioni tecniche di questi strumenti, e alcune derivazioni come i vocoder, devono molto all'opera del musicista nato in Austria. Le ultime tre tracce vengono registrate in Giappone durante una tournée del gruppo, e sono utilizzate anche per il terzo album Live in Tokyo dello stesso anno. Dom Um Romao alle percussioni e Eric Gravatt alla batteria subentrano nella sezione ritmica ai musicisti originari. Nel 1973 esce Sweetnighter, più orecchiabile dei lavori precedenti, che è apripista per il disco di oggi, che chiude in un certo senso il primo percorso della band.

Vitouš si chiama fuori, e parteciperà solo ad una traccia di Mysterious Traveller, che esce nel marzo del 1974, frutto di registrazioni del Novembre del '73 e di una giornata di perfezionamento poco prima dell'uscita del disco nel marzo 1974. Infatti è presente solo in un brano, la sua American Tango, musica che più si mantiene legata agli standard iniziali, e lascia il posto ad Alphonso Johnson, fenomeno del basso elettrico, che porta con sé tutta la forza della nuova musica nera; entra nel gruppo insieme al batterista Ishmael Wilburn, il quale prende il a sua volta il posto di Greg Errico, batterista nelle sessioni e nel tour di Sweetnighter, ma che declinò l'offerta di entrare in pianta stabile nel gruppo. Mysterious Traveller si apre con uno "scherzetto": gli oltre dieci, magici, minuti di Nubian Sundance, una sorta di rituale musicale magico con un celestiale coro scat singing, furono registrati in una surreale unica take di registrazione, e per valorizzarne l'effetto, fu fatta passare come un brano live, a cui aggiunsero applausi e brusii di pubblico in post produzione. Il disco mostra come ormai sia quasi del tutto naturale la contaminazione nelle strutture del jazz di sonorità funk, R&B, persino di musica etnica, che proprio in quegli anni stava avendo un notevole interesse di riscoperta. Cucumber Slusher è il funk del basso che accompagna gli assoli di Shorter e le terzine ai piatti di Wilburn e le percussioni etniche, in uno dei brani più famosi della compagnia. Mysterious Traveller è un brano sognante e armonioso, che sfuma nel duetto\scontro tra Zawinul e Shorter di Blackthorn Rose, vertiginosa scalata elettrica. Scarlet Woman, compassata e ritmica e l'intro quasi prog di Jungle Book (che sarà il punto di partenza per chiunque si accosterà alla materia per mille future divagazioni world e fusion) segnano un passaggio storico al pieno utilizzo degli strumenti elettronici nel jazz. Il risultato fu accolto con grande successo sia di pubblico, con il disco che va altissimo nelle classifiche di vendite jazz, e non sfuggì all'occhio attento dei lettori della rivista Downbeat, che lo decretarono disco dell'anno.

Zawinul continuerà ancora a registrare questo jazz-funk-rock fino al 1976, quando l'incontro con un altro genio, Jaco Pastorius, renderà ancora diverso, rinnovandone l'unicità, il suono meraviglioso e distintivo di una band che volle chiamarsi con un nome che tutti potevano facilmente ricordare.

PROGRAMMA IL SUO FUNERALE 10 ANNI PRIMA: UNA FESTA PER I SUOI AMICI

“Voglio un funerale felice, non che la gente pianga”, diceva Malcolm Brockelhurst quando nel 2013 ha programmato la cerimonia per il suo ultimo saluto. Ex progettista di aerei di Cleveleys (Inghilterra) ha pianificato ogni dettaglio del suo funerale, per riflettere la sua vita gioiosa e per rendere omaggio a ciò che la ha resa unica. Ha fatto costruire una bara a forma di aeroplano del colore arancione, quello della sua squadra di calcio preferita il Blackpool. Il 15 luglio 2024, giorno del suo ultimo saluto, era disteso nella carlinga del Tango One in uniforme della sua squadra.

A 89 anni anni il suo ultimo desiderio si è realizzato, davanti ai suoi amici e parenti la bara-aereo è stata trasportata nei pressi dello stadio dei Blackpool, accompagnata dalle note di una canzone scritta da lui stesso. Le ali dell’aereo sono rimovibili per facilitare l’accesso al crematorio dove ha chiesto di entrare al grido di “preparatevi al decollo” e ai suoi amici ha chiesto di girare l’elica, tutti insieme per il suo ultimo volo. É stata una celebrazione della sua vita più che un momento di rimpianto. Molti ricordavano quando nel 2013 durante le prove del suo funerale, disse: “è stato un divertimento spensierato, una giornata unica. Sembrava una prova generale per la mia esibizione principale, quella davanti al grande autore nel cielo”.

La società inglese Crazy Coffins che realizza bare bizzarre su disegno dei committenti ha dichiarato che l’atteggiamento nei confronti dei funerali sta cambiando, concentrandosi sempre più sui bei ricordi.

@plaidetchocolatchaud raspberry flip, merci pour ce nom. Je suis encore ému de la performance de ce patineur, ça m'arrive pour la première fois. C'est très fort ce qu'il a fait, ce qu'il a donné...

(Je n'ai pas vu ta réponse hier, il y a beaucoup de commentaires sur la vidéo, je préfère te répondre directement, j'espère que c'est OK)

Désolée je viens de voir que je me suis trompée en commentaire, c'est un raspberry twist ! Je suis désolée. Et je t'avoue que même en slow motion c'est compliqué de comprendre précisément le saut, perso je vois un saut papillon, avec une vrille, mais je peux me tromper (edit : je viens de regarder sur internet et ça m'a bel et bien l'air d'un saut papillon vrillé et des tutos sur internet existent) !

Le saut papillon est l'un de mes sauts préférés en gr d'ailleurs, et j'apprenais à le faire, et c'est hyper dur de lui donner de l'amplitude, mais visuellement c'est un saut incroyable (en gif, Margarita Kolosov)

Et oui, je suis fan aussi d'Ilia, c'est pas le patineur le plus artistique (mais ça va venir, par rapport à la saison dernière, il a fait d'énormes progrès sur ce niveau-là). Même si tu ne connais pas tous les détails, regarde le détail sur le plan technique et tous les record qu'il a battu sur cette performance, c'est complètement dingue. J'espère juste qu'il fait attention niveau blessures et qu'il va avoir une carrière longue ( en tant qu'ancienne fan de sasha, ma plus grande crainte est qu'il connaisse la même trajectoire, même si il est dans un milieu beaucoup (mais alors beaucoup) moins abusif).

Si tu en veux d'autres, je te fais une liste (un peu random, il se fait tard désolée, petit guide pour débutant.e fait vraiment à l'arrache) :

Yuzuru Hanyu (jpn) : considéré comme le meilleur patineur de l'histoire, ses sauts sont juste parfait, et sur le plan artistique il a dépassé de très loin tous les autres. C'est, entre autres, le premier patineur à avoir essayé le quadruple axel, qu'Ilia a été le premier à réussir en compétition. Regardes son programme libre des JO de 2018, c'est une dinguerie (il l'a fait en étant blessé)

Nathan Chen (usa) : Malgré ses costumes horribles, si tu aimes les sauts, il fera ton bonheur

Adam Siao Him Fa (fra): La nouvelle star du patinage français, qui a partagé la vedette avec Ilia pour les mondiaux avec l'incroyable remontée qu'il a faite. Si tu as aimé le raspberry twist d'Ilia, tu pourrais aimer son arabian et son salto arrière. Et il paraît qu'il veut essayer le quadruple axel lui aussi.

Le trio Yuna Kim/Mao Asada/ Carolina Kostner : l'âge d'or du patinage artistique féminin sans aucun doutes. Chacune était différente. Tu pourrais adorer Mao et son programme libre à Sotchi

Kaori Sakamoto (jpn) : La reine du patinage actuelle

Surya Bonaly (fra) : la légende française. Elle a honteusement été volée pendant toute sa carrière

Katarina Witt (ex-rda) : ça remonte à loin, mais son charisme n'a pas vieilli, et ses outfits sont toujours aussi iconiques

Sui/Han (Chine) : je regarde pas trop les couples (pourtant c'est une discipline avec des éléments hyper variés, j'aime bien), mais celui là était vraiment mon préféré

Anissina/Peizerat (fra) : le meilleur couple de danse sur glace français imo. Tous leurs programme ou presque sont des masterclass, ça n'a pas vieilli. Et Marina est la seule femme dans le patinage à avoir porté un homme, ça ne s'est pas refait.

Virtue/Moir (can) : Jettes un œil à leur Tango de Roxanne et à leur gala sur Stay de Rihanna

Papadakis/Cizeron (fra) : Je ne dois pas avoir besoin de les présenter. Leurs meilleurs programmes sont ceux qui sont le moins classique je pense (Fame, leur danse rythmique de 2022). Big up à Gabriella pour avoir le courage de dénoncer les violences dans le patinage chez les femmes.

Gilles/Poirier (can): j'adore leur originalité ( leur programme de cette année sur Les Hauts de Hurlevent est une merveille)

Guignard/Fabri (ita) : (va regarder leur programme sur les flamands roses)

Si tu as envie de regarder de la gymnastique rhythmique (sport beaucoup trop sous-côté, parce qu'en plus des éléments gymniques et de la danse tu as des ENGINS D'ADRESSE)

Anna Bessonova (ukr) : sa routine la plus iconique est Hopak mais toutes, je dis, absolument TOUTES ses routines sont des chef d'œuvre. Elle s'est pris de plein fouet la concurrence russe et ses injustices, mais c'est la meilleure gymnaste

Elena Vitrichenko (ukr) : une icône, malheureusement les juges en avait décidé autrement

Almudena Cid (esp): la reine d'Espagne qui a disputé quatre finales olympiques

Les russes ont dominé la gr pendant deux décennies, mais seulement trois ont vraiment apporté quelque chose à ce sport : Evgenia Kanavea, Margarita Mamun (il y a eu un documentaire terrible sur sa préparation aux JO tu comprendras mieux pourquoi on ne peux plus défendre les russes tant que le système ne change pas) et Yana Kudryavtseva

Melitina Staniouta (blr) : je la mets juste pour son sublime pivot signature

Sofia Raffaeli (ita) : une des principales prétendantes à l'or olympique. Elle a besoin de force, elle s'est fait lâcher à la fin de la saison dernière par sa coach qui l'entraînait depuis toute petite

Polina Berezina et Alba Bautista (esp) : je les aime d'amour. Poli a mon âge et les rubans d'Alba sont des merveilles.

Eva Serrano (fra): Si les russes n'avaient pas falsifié les scores, elle serait la seule gymnaste française à avoir gagné une médaille olympique. Tkt, elle a pris sa revanche en étant juge 20 ans plus tard à Tokyo (quelle reine) où la Russie a été battue après 20 ans de domination sans partage.

Darja Varfolomeev (ger): n'écoute pas ce que ces haters disent sur Internet. si tu as aimé Ilia (et que tu es toujours là !) tu vas l'adorer. Ses difficultés sont folles, et elle est d'une consistance dingue et fait ses meilleurs performances sous pression. Pendant les mondiaux elle dansait sur les musiques des autres en attendant son score, et elle a un sourire plus gros que son visage. C'est la favorite pour les JO.

Takhmina Ikromova (uzb): la révélation des derniers mondiaux, et la gymnaste la plus complète. elle vient de gagner le concours général du grand prix de Thiais ce weekend

Barbara Domingos : première gymnaste brésilienne qui a du succès, tu devrais aimer son ruban et son cerceau sur le roi Lion

Stiliana Nikolova (bul) : La plus expressive de la bande et celle qui a le plus de responsabilité, le jour où elle arrivera à vaincre son stress pour les finales elle sera imbattable

Boryana Kaleyn (bul) : la GOAT. elle s'est essayé et a réussi à TOUS les styles musicaux, du classique au metal, à la K-pop, au folklore sibérien à des morceaux de musiques composés exprès pour elle. Le cycle précédant un nombre incalculable de médailles lui sont passées sous le nez à cause de l'inflation des scores russes.

Ensemble Bulgare "Les Golden Girls) : le groupe de 2018-2021 (surnommé Les Diamants) est le meilleur de l'histoire, et les petites nouvelles font de très belles routines. Leurs performances dans les années 80, qui leur ont valu leur surnom valent le coup d'œil

Ensemble d'Espagne : leur performance en 2016 sur Vida Carnaval est de l'or

Ensemble d'Ukraine : quand elles sont stables, elles sont merveilleuses. Jettes un œil sur leurs galas : Archangel et Angels and Demons

Deuxième journée en mer

Nous voguons en direction de Cap Horne. Rien à signaler, sauf un très bon deuxième spectacle de tango à 14 h 30. Formidable!!

À 16 h 30, nos amis sont venus sur notre balcon pour admirer la vue spectaculaire de la dernière île avant l’Antarctique. On se rejoindra plus tard pour le spectacle de magie, puis souper au restaurant.

Nous sommes privilégiés de voir toutes ces splendeurs de la nature. Notre planète est fragile, il nous faut la protéger…

Incroyable!! Le point gris indique la position de notre bateau. Nous sommes au bout du monde.

Il y avait plein de gâteaux spéciaux ce midi en l’honneur de la journée internationale des femmes.

Tango, mais axé sur les danses des gauchos. Impressionnant avec leurs boules.

Célébrons avec du champagne cette grande étape.

On voit le phare à gauche. Il n’y a qu’une seule personne qui vit sur le Cap Horne. À droite, on voit le monument des albatros, en souvenir de tous les marins qui ont perdu leur vie en naviguant dans les eaux traîtres.

Finalmente siam partiti, Giampiero ed io.

In primis Buenos Aires: il cuore pulsante di un paese grande quasi 3 milioni di km².

Nella parte nord della città abbiamo visitato i ricchi quartieri di Palermo

e di Recoleta, nel cui cimitero riposa Eva Peron.

Poi Plaza de Mayo con la Casa Rosada, il Parlamento e la Catedral, da cui proviene Papa Francesco.

Eccellente caffe da “Pertutti”: bar sontuoso, sembrava di essere al S. Carlo di Torino.

Lasciamo B.A. per volare a El Calafate e visitare il Parque Nacional “Los Glaciares”, dove sono presenti tre diversi ambienti:

l’alta montagna, con i famosi ghiacciai Perito Moreno e Upsala

il bosco andino-patagonico, con foreste di Lenga e Nire

la steppa patagonica, settimo maggior deserto del mondo.

Partiamo per escursione d’intera giornata “Todo Glaciares”, navigando il lago argentino tra gli iceberg, con sosta per il lunch alla base Spegazzini.

Successiva tappa: Ushuaia. Sorvoliamo lo stretto di Magellano e raggiungiamo questa perla di città ai confini del mondo.

Qui, sotto l’ottima guida di Mariano, visitiamo il parco nazionale “Tierra del Fuego”, dove i primi abitanti, gli indios Ona, usavano accendere grandi fuochi, da cui il nome dato dai primi colonizzatori.

Segue la navigazione sul canale di Beagle, dove ammiriamo le colonie di leoni marini e di cormorani.

Al 9° giorno voliamo a Trelew e raggiungiamo Puerto Madryn. visitiamo quindi la Peninsula Valdes, dove alla Estancia S. Lorenzo possiamo camminare in mezzo alla più grande colonia di pinguini del continente.

Al tramonto ci imbarchiamo a Puerto Piramides per ammirare le balene: eccitante, ma un freddo boia!

Il 4° volo è per le cascate di Iguazù. Le ammiriamo da sopra e da sotto, dal versante argentino e da quello brasiliano: una meraviglia!

Concludiamo la nostra vacanza con la visita ai quartieri sud di Buenos Aires, S. Telmo e La Boca.

Alla sera non possiamo mancare lo spettacolo del tango.

È stato un viaggio magnifico, anche se molto stancante, organizzato dall’agenzia Etlim di Imperia per un gruppo di 22 persone con cui ci siamo trovati bene. Il viaggio è durato 15 gg., di cui 2 di viaggio con Argentina Aerolineas, durata 14 ore (-4 all’andata + 4 al ritorno).

Oltre ai bei ricordi ci portiamo a casa anche quattro riproduzioni di un artista argentino che esponeva a Ushuaia.

WE LEAVE B.A.TO FLY TO EL CALAFATE AND VISIT THE PARQUE NACIONAL LOS GLACIARES, WHERE THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS:

THE HIGH MOUNTAINS, WITH THE FAMOUS GLACIERS PERITO MORENO AND UPSALA

THE PATAGONIAN-ANDEAN FOREST, MOSTLY COVERED BY LENGA AND NIRE TREES

THE PATAGONIAN STEPPE, THE 7TH WIDEST DESERT IN THE WORLD.

WE HAVE A FULL-DAY EXCURSION CALLED “TODO GLACIARES” SAILING ON THE ARGENTINE LAKE AMONG THE ICEBERGS AND STOPPING FOR LUNCH AT THE SPEGAZZINI BASE. NEXT STOP: USHUAIA. WE FLY OVER THE STRAIT OF MAGELLAN AND REACH THIS PEARL OF A CITY AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD.

HERE, UNDER THE VERY GOOD GUIDANCE OF MARIANO, WE VISIT THE NATIONAL PARK “TIERRA DEL FUEGO”, WHERE THE FIRST INHABITANTS, THE INDIOS ONA, USED TO LIGHT BIG FIRES, HENCE THE NAME GIVEN BY THE FIRST COLONIZERS.

THEN WE SAIL ON THE BEAGLE CHANNEL, WHERE WE ADMIRE THE COLONIES OF SEA LIONS AND CORMORANTS.

ON THE 9TH DAY WE FLY TO TRELEW AND WE REACH PUERTO MADRYN. WE THEN VISIT THE PENINSULA VALDES, WHERE AT THE ESTANCIA S.LORENZO WE WALK AMONG THE BIGGEST COLONY OF PENGUINS IN THE CONTINENT.

AT SUNSET WE GO TO PUERTO PIRAMIDES TO ADMIRE THE WHALES: EXCITING, BUT FREEZING COLD!

THE 4TH FLIGHT IS TO IGUAZU WATERFALLS. WE ADMIRE THEM FROM ABOVE AND BELOW, BOTH SIDES (ARGENTINEAN & BRASILIAN): A WONDER!

WE END OUR TRIP WITH A LAST TOUR IN B.A., THIS TIME TO THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE CITY: S. TELMO AND LA BOCA. AND IN THE EVENING WE CAN’T MISS THE TANGO EXHIBITION.

IT WAS A MAGNIFICENT JOURNEY, ALTHOUGH VERY TIRING, ORGANISED BY THE ETLIM AGENCY IN IMPERIA. WE WERE A GROUP OF 22 PEOPLE, WE HAD A GOOD TIME. IT LASTED 15 DAYS, 2 OF WHICH TRAVELLING WITH ARGENTINA AEROLINEAS FOR 14 HOURS (-4 TO GO + 4 TO COME BACK)

IN ADDITION TO THE GOOD MEMORIES, WE TOOK HOME FOUR REPRODUCTIONS OF AN ARGENTINE ARTIST WHO EXHIBITED IN USHUAIA.

Si la fête de l’Humanité est avant tout un rendez-vous politique, c’est aussi une grande fête populaire avec ses spectacles, ses guinguettes où l’on danse, ces espèces de gargotes où il fait bon dévorer des merguez frites avec de la bière ou du vin en écoutant jouer un orchestre cubain, ou un groupe venu des profondeurs de notre province et qui joue une excellente musique ou se succèdent des « Nini peau de chien », des valses et autres musiques populaires, tangos ou rocks accompagné d’une chanteuse à la voix suave et envoutante. Il y a beaucoup de débats politiques, mais dans la journée.

Samedi, pour beaucoup de monde, c’était pour Patti Smith qu’ils venaient. Mais se déplacer voir une vedette comme Patti Smith dans un lieu aussi vaste, c’est comme aller voir un match de football au stade de France alors que l’on a l’habitude de regarder le sport à la télé. Lorsqu’un but est marqué, au stade, point de « replay ». À la télé, l’action est remontrée sur toutes ses coutures, en ralenti, accéléré, du dessus, du dessous, on voit aussi les joueurs se sauter les uns dessus les autres. J’ai d’ailleurs toujours trouvé étrange que celui qui vient de marquer et qui se trouve en dessous de la mêlée ne meure pas étouffé par ses coéquipiers qui, j’en suis certain, aimeraient bien se débarrasser de lui pour être le prochain à marquer. C’est sans doute la raison qui pousse les propriétaires des équipes à les payer des fortunes pour qu’ils restent jouer malgré les dangers liés à ce que je viens de décrire… Mais il y a aussi l’ambiance, délétère pour le football, bon enfant pour le rugby.

Pour Patti Smith, point de mêlée violente et machiste, mais étant assez loin de la scène, je n’ai pu la voir que grâce à un écran géant installé à côté du spectacle. Elle est incroyable, à soixante-dix ans, elle tient pendant une bonne heure et demie, chantant de sa merveilleuse voix, jouant de la guitare et envoyant un message politique et écologique au monde. 

La journée aurait pu se terminer agréablement. À une heure du matin, point de navettes pour nous raccompagner au métro. Marche, comme à l’aller. Quarante minutes, pour arriver devant des wagons pleins à craquer et de subir l’humiliation d’insultes de la part d’une gamine hystérique et visiblement violente.

Oubliée Patti Smith et le message de paix et solidarité de la fête de l’humanité. Comme quoi, l’homme (et la femme) ne comprendra jamais au-delà du temps pendant lequel cela l’arrange, que nous sommes faits pour vivre ensemble.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?  35 :) I have older fics I have totally lost. I also have old fics I was not planning on putting on AO3, but I read a post one day saying it’s an archive and it would be nice to have everything on it so I plan to add the ones I can still find to my profile one day!

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?  363 397 words. Wow. 

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Haikyû is clearly dominating here by being a popular fandom 😀 Older fics have higher kudos counts, too, so I’m not sure this top shows anything! La musique adoucit les mœurs (mais ça dépend des personnes) (Haikyû - Kuroo x Tsukishima) is my very first Haikyû fanfic :) The confession dialogue is definitely one of the best I have written, I still love it to bits today. But the last chapter has pretty much nothing happening in it and if I was the kind of person who actually re-writes their fics to make them better, that chapter would definitely be the FIRST thing on my list. Also, as I’ve written this fic while the manga was ongoing, it is not totally canon compliant, and this is not something I like >_> L'imprévu du week-end (Haikyû - Kuroo x Tsukishima) is a smut-centric fic but the banter is really top-notch in this one, so I understand why it is so liked despite being mostly smut :D Après le match (Haikyû - Bokuto x Akaashi) is a pure PWP so maybe my previous assumption that smut-centric fics get less kudos is wrong? Or I write very good smut? I don’t know. Le meilleur grand frère au monde (et comment il a failli tout gâcher) (Haikyû - Kuroo x Tsukishima) is the following of the first one, so it definitely benefits from it. It’s not that good, very very very sappy. Une question en l'air et une réponse adaptée (Haikyû - Bokuto x Akaashi) is a fic co-written with my wife with alternating POVs. I was in charge of Bokuto and loved every second of it. I have no idea why all my other Bokuto x Akaashi fics are from Akaashi’s POV, Bokuto is SO MUCH FUN to write. Unexpectedly, the first non-Haikyû fic of my top is a Dorohedoro fic : C'est le tango de tous les fossoyeurs (Noi x Shin) which was a blast to write! (Except for the het smut scene, what was I thinking?) Can’t believe there are more than 30 kudos on one of my Dorohedoro fanfics, actually XD And 8 bookmarks! WTF? Who are you, Dorohedoro fans reading Noi x Shin fanfictions in French?

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Definitely! But I don’t receive that many, that’s the thing about writing in French ^^; I answer on AO3, but when I get reviews on ffnet, I usually don’t remember my password and never answer them :D Oops.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? I don’t write angst! I always write tooth-rotting fluff! But, my X-Men First Class fanfics (especially Un jour nouveau and Eveillé, both Erik x Charles fics) do have a a bittersweet tone. I wouldn’t say they have angsty endings, but they’re definitely not happy and fluffy like when I write anime sports boy love stories :D And writing that, I realize I do have on AO3 an old Eyeshield 21 fic about unrequited love : Ne dis rien (Takami > Sakuraba > Shin). That one is angsty. This is really really NOT my cup of tea :(

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? Well, aside from the three above, I guess I only have happy endings! The happy ending being: they’re in love <3

7. Do you write crossovers? No. I don’t mind crossovers, but I don’t really care about them and never get crossover ideas.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? I don’t think so!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes, I do! Not that I enjoy writing it that much ^^; Usually while writing the fic, there’s a hole in the chapter with “insert smut here” annoted somewhere and the smut ends up being the last thing I write :D What kind of smut? What’s this question? XD I write very regular smut, I think. And usually not very kinky.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I don’t think so. But then I write in French, often for pretty obscure fandoms or ships, I don’t have much of an audience anyway :D

11. Have you ever had a fic translated? I had several people asking if they could translate my fics, but I think they never finished their translations XD I would love to translate my fics in English to have a bit more people reading them, but that’s too much effort and it’s a bit vain, isn’t it? But I absolutely love comments like “my French is so rusty but I loved your fic” or “I had to use Google Translate to read it but it was so good”. I do get them from time to time and they warm my heart. @sturlsons comments on getting better at French by reading my KuroTsukki fics are definitely among the best I received :)

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, Une question en l'air et une réponse adaptée (Haikyû - Bokuto x Akaashi), which I commented on before. We had started a second one we never finished where Bokuto and Akaashi adopt a dog and it’s lots of very silly shenanigans, but I’m not even sure if we still have the WIP somewhere.

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship? Come on, that’s the hardest question ever >_> The thing I know is that there are ships I love for which I would never write a fanfic (for example OFMD Ed and Stede). And some where I don’t even want to read fics about (Oscar and André from Versailles no Bara). It’s difficult to explain why. That doesn’t make me love them less than the ones I write for.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? I started a Prince of Tennis fic with aged-up characters recently :D I indulged a bit, I don’t even have a real plot, I have no idea where it’s going, so it will just be a nice little WIP I’ll go to from time to time for myself :)

15. What are your writing strengths? Dialogues! (Well, I hope so, with the amount of dialogues I write :D) I do love funny internal monologues too. I hope they’re fun for the readers too. I also think I write characters pretty in character. And for fics happening in Japan, I hope they do read like things happening in Japan.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? Descriptions! Please don’t make me tell you what they wear and what the room is like. I’m also not that good at plot… It’s usually very thin or just “they’re falling in love” :D

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I never had to use it but I don’t mind if it’s justified. I do use Japanese “-san” or “-kun” but not expressions like “tadaima” or “otsukare-sama”, which I replace with French counterparts.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for? In notebooks for friends, it was Dragon Ball Z :D Published on the internet and in fanzines it was Highlander.

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to? Although I am in lots of fandoms, I usually don’t write for most of them. I just have the ships I want to write for and then I write for them again and again and again :D I think Prince of Tennis is the only fandom for which I have written 5 or 6 different ships and this is definitely not what I usually do. Tl;dr: I don’t think there’s a fandom that I want to write for that I haven’t yet.

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written This is SO hard. I’m really fond of Retrouvailles (Eyeshield 21 - Takami x Sakuraba) and of my two gen fics L’an prochain (Haikyû - 3rd gym centric) and Remplaçant (Eyeshield 21 - Yukimitsu-centric). I think some of my Highlander fanfics were actually quite nice and not romance-centric, but I don’t remember them that much (Le Projet Methos and Endymion both come to mind though).

"In-tango" is a song by Italian dancer and singer-songwriter In-Grid, released in 2003. The English version of this song, titled "We Tango Alone", was recorded in Italy as a B-side track and released as its own single in Australia. "In-tango" reached the top 10 in Denmark and reached the top 40 in Germany, Greece, Hungary and Spain.

The story is about In-Grid watching a movie called In-Tango. She is the star of this film. In the film, she is late for the prom. She walks up to a handsome gentleman and they dance. The girl who danced with this man leaves jealous. The film ends with the entire audience leaving the room because the lyrics are quite disturbing. When In-Grid sees the film, she wears the same clothes as when she acted and sings the same song that she sang in the film.

The lyrics were written by In-Grid and Marco Soncini, who co-produced the song with Alfredo Larry Pignagnoli. The English version was also co-written by Daniela Galli (aka Dhany) and Paul Sears.
