who laughs when the other trips?

neither ?? i feel like alyona is 2 serious for that. when he falls she probs just looks at him like ??? get up, dude. and when alyona falls ?? well, i feel like she never falls tbh. the girl simply is too badass to fall.

definitely alyona. david doesn’t understand bills and would literally fuck them up so bad. he wouldn’t be able to do it at all, so all of that responsibility would fall on alyona’s shoulders. 

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays?

ok like, seriously, get this image of strict alyona out of my head. i definitely feel like david makes a bigger deal, primarily because he’s so goofy and not serious at all ?? he’s the one that wastes all the money on christmas lights so that he can string them EVERYWHERE, even in the bathroom. he’s just… too childish for this. he also makes alyona take pictures with him whilst wearing reindeer antlers. 

who checks their daily horoscope?

david probably. i feel like he’d be the one wrapped up in it, especially with alyona. idk what her sign is, but, like, can you imagine ?? “omg alyona, that’s so ____ of you. you’re such a _____.” and she just looks at him with the cut throat glare

who sings louder in the car?

look… tell me why i envision them listening to russian music and david WANTS to sing along, but he can’t pronounce any of the words. so he kinda just ?? encourages alyona to sing because it’ll help him learn the language better if she does. but then he starts playing some music from when he was growing up and she just ??? doesn’t like it. he’s sitting there blasting the spice girls and stuff and she just does not sing along while he SCREAMS every word. 

who leaves the cap off the toothpaste?

definitely david. even tho he’s a bit of a germaphobe, he forgets SOMETIMES, and when comparing it to the number of times alyona forgets… it’s bad. alyona never forgets. you’ll never catch her slippin. 

who is more up to date in pop culture?

definitely david on this. he’s always quoting things whenever they sit around gossiping and half the time, he has to explain things to her. then alyona comes in with these very obscure references that just make david SUPER confused. like ??? “this is worse than the time rasputin was killed” and david is like “???? rasputin was real ???”

who insists on going to see the newest movies?

david honestly. but it’s super annoying because he talks during the movies. he will constantly poke at alyona’s shoulder and be like “hey, did you see that ??” and just be the most annoying piece of shit. so it gets to the point where alyona refuses to go, and if she does go, she makes him sit on the other side of the theater. 

who cries when the abused animal commercials come on?

david is the most emo dude ever, ok. like, alyona can watch them without the slightest twitch, but not david. it gets to the point where he sees the commercial, and he just excuses himself out from the room so that he can relax and just… not cry in front of her

who’s the lighter sleeper?

probably alyona ?? i can imagine that she has a hard time falling asleep. unless they stay up drinking wine, of course. then both of them can sleep perfectly fine. so… i guess neither because they always drink wine and gossip. 

who believes in ghosts?

out of the two ?? probably david. he hears a bump and he looks at alyona the way ryan looks at shane. i mean, honestly ?? they are literally ryan and shane from buzzfeed unsolved. 

who does the grocery shopping?

alyona for sure. if she trusts david with money, that’s a big mistake. imagine she did one time, but when he came back with 14 packets of those capsule sponge dinosaurs that expand underwater, ice cream, wine, and water balloons, she quickly decided that he was not to be trusted. 

who updates their facebook status more often?

can u imagine alyona being a meme ?? “doctor said i could only have one glass of wine per day…. he didn’t say how big !!” man, i feel like both of them would do shit like that. especially david, but he would be 10000000% serious.

maybe austin. i mean, i feel like oona is responsible ENOUGH, but she’s also not from america so austin ?? would be super skeptical about letter her handle any of their finances at all

i honestly get the feeling that neither of them are into it like.. at all. it’s kinda just another day in the life of oona & austin. no special dinner, nothing. if anything, though, i would have to say austin. mainly bcs he would definitely try to give oona a bunch of presents in his very lowkey way

look, i totally imagine the last song type of thing with them ?? like, oona sings, but she has such a pretty voice and in comes austin, screaming in a terrible voice bcs he can’t sing for the life of them. but that’s only if he’s in a good mood or he’s trying to cheer oona up. normally, he’s fine with just driving and listening to oona sing bcs he’s so *heart eyes* about it.

look, austin is super neat but when he’s around oona, he feels like he does not have his shit together. he’s too distracted so he makes mistakes and one of these mistakes in leaving his toothpaste cap off. just ?? the worst ok. fuck oona for making him so distracted ok !!

if i had to say ?? maybe austin ?? but like, also oona ?? i feel like they’re on even playing ground with this. they don’t really care because they feel its irrelevant to them, but they are kinda into it on occasion

both of them do it together. it’s like… a cute thing, ok. they both go together and they both pick out things together. again, austin likes being seen out in public with oona. he lives for it, i’m telling you. she’s so pretty so he feels ??? so prideful when they hang out.

i don’t really get the feeling either of them do ?? but maybe oona. i mean, she was in a christian rock band so she must have fans out there that want to know what she’s up to, right ?? so yeah, probs oona. i don’t even know if austin knows what facebook is.

hey random thought  cait but do you remember that one time waaaay back during the #horrorhigh event ( which, aside — totally one of my favorite events we’ve done here at hellstate ) when a v young and misguided flirty sidney ( @malaprcpos ) threw a sock ball at topher with a love note in it?  i swear on paul i’ve been trying to keep these ship memes real and in–canon for the most part but when i saw this one in my inbox, as hard as i tried, i could n o t get that out of my head. so instead of trying to fight my brain and come up with another ( i very easily could have, too, this boy loves everybody ) i figured i should give mention to what is probably the most ridiculous and amusing and adorable ( in a weird sort of way?? i d k ) ships i’ve ever had for toph.

      as a precaution, anthony hasn’t wrote in a long while ; police work has evolved too far. every pen stroke is a clue, everything you touched would bring them one step closer. even as the world ended and the law became moot, he still hadn’t fallen back to normalcy. when he walks through buildings, he doesn’t run his hand over anything, his hands stay planted in the pockets of his jacket. he never leaves a thing behind. he burns clothes when he’s done with them. OLD HABITS he had never wanted to break until meeting her. she‘s a symbol of hope, change, a person he’s entirely devoted to. most people now, they want their ordinary lives back, or something resembling it. or, he thinks they do, anyway – understanding others was never a strong suit.  

      and she’s right, of course. the only way to miss it would be if she were blind; a large white sheet, ❛  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ❜ printed on it in black marker – crayola because it was all he found in the drawers of the home. there’s a dull brown stain in one of the corners, and he accounts it to the body that had been laying on the floor nearby  (  cleaned up now; there’s nothing romantic about a CORPSE  ). he nods through her speaking and when she’s done, offers a smile – it’s telling; he’s nervous.   ❝  figured that’s what people do.  ❞    anthony has never experienced it himself, he knows there’s a chance that he swung and missed. he’s not trying to force oona into moving on, but he ushers her further into the home with a hand on the small of her back. 

     ❝  AND,  ❞   he halts when they’re in front of the kitchen’s doorway.     ❝  i found nice chair pads.  ❞    he gestures to the teal cushions, though instead of looking at them himself, he watches her. anthony is trying to gauge a reaction, that much is obvious.  ❝  just thought they might make coming over to eat nicer, you know?  ❞  he holds the   ❛ can’t you see i’m trying?  ❜  back.    ❝  or, just, whatever you want to do in here.  ❞    it’s weird enough to him that anyone would do anything else at the dinner table, but he offers it up anyway. HE MEANS IT; whatever she wants, he’s not bothered. he won’t feel the irritation he did at people who talked too loud in bars, or at motel managers who insisted he missed check-in by a minute. she’s perfect however she chooses to be.

Vlogger Parents AU + Huan & Sid :)))

FIVE HEADCANONS + AN AU / @malaprcpos !!

the first thing to note is that neither of them are awful parents. they’re not quite as callous or controlling as their own were, but there are issues, most stemming from her rather than him: huan never wanted a family, and once she ended up with one, she forced sid to settle down. the whole thing started out of anger, lust, blame. even now, huan hardly catches herself when she thinks of what he ruined. the only reason she does is love, as disgusting as it is. he’s good to her, he listens when she tells him to do things. there’s not much more she can ask for, aside from maybe for sid to stop recording everything. there’s at least two hours of unused footage of them putting groceries away, she throws that in his face anytime he tries to convince her that their life is RIVETING.

they’re loud, everything about them. their lifestyle? insane, truly. sidney takes the kids to do wild things in public, just dumb things that he finds humorous in their stupidity. huan lets them, she doesn’t mind – they’re having FUN, and they’re out of the house. it gives her time to workout without grasping hands and twenty questions. on the same trail, she has an office of which she’s insistent that no one comes in. for entertainment purposes, sid makes a point to knock on the door for absolutely no reason at all. there’s something about huan shouting obscenities that people find funny.

there’s a whole series they have up where it’s just them trying to cook something that actually looks like food. the language is disgusting, they’ve never attempted to censor their language, or, really, anything in their lives. as such, the kids are probably at a constant risk of being involved in a kitchen fire and cussing at their teachers. it’s FINE, they insist – it’s good character. on the flip side of that, there’s an aspect of their vlogs that are knowledgeable. it’s easy enough to catch sid teaching the kids proper usage of certain words and for huan to be caught teaching them to speak chinese. 

they’re both awfully chill when it comes to parenting techniques, though the internet has seen more glimpses of high maintenance huan than they have of quiet face mask and trashy television huan. often times, huan doesn’t even show up in videos so much as you hear her complaining to the kids about sid in the other room. they don’t really understand, but they like it nonetheless. sid used to take offense, but after being with huan so long he’s come to realize that the fact she’s talking about him at all is a good thing, considering how many people she’s simply tossed out of her life. there’s a good portion of videos where sid is quiet and wearing heart eyes with that conversation being picked up in the background i hate them.

look … every time a big game comes up, every time their kids are involved in some activity, the camera is out and they’re there. they’re?? soccer parents, in the sense that anyone who talks shit will, inevitably, be fought, and that the competition should be absolutely crushed. it’s the same with comments on their videos; huan could often be regarded as a bitch and sidney as careless. there’s only one video that features only huan and we’ll say it’s vulgar and fucking disgusting ok. huan owning up to being a mean person but setting people straight on sid being a Great Dude is GROSS.

HEADCANON MEME !

In addition to looking like he could be a Kennedy brother, Finnegan has sort of an older vibe to him. Not just looking older than he is, but as if he walked straight out of American Graffiti or was an extra in an early season of Mad Men. In part due to his manner of dress, the way he styles/parts his hair, and just generally kinda how his face looks, but a lot has to do with the way he carries himself. Of course, a lot of this is due to growing up with his grandparents and developing his tastes around theirs, but it often seems like he was BORN an old man—he probably was. If he wasn’t a Priest, Finnegan probably would have studied History for a living.

Someone who hates Alexi without any reservations is @bloodiedxknuckles. How could Proctor not, when Alexi literally cut his throat and left him for dead? Proctor let Alexi into his life in so many ways. Alexi was doing some behind the scenes organizing, had partial control of Proctor’s men, and was in Proctor’s bed — he had his fingers in every aspect of Proctor’s life. And then for Alexi to betray Proctor so deeply? Alexi made the group implode, killed most of Proctor’s men and used Proctor’s bed as an attempted murder scene. So everything that Proctor does to Alexi is justified: he wants reassert his control over Alexi and pay the attempt to kill him back in kind. All very reasonable things to do in Proctor’s mind to a man Proctor at one point trusted.

      he’s perfectly content with his cats and dogs on a sunday afternoon, and just the same on monday. they get into football just as much as he does, which is to say: they like background noise and food. though if you asked him whether he preferred HUMAN company during these days? with some hesitation, he would tell you sure.

      in favor of asking her not to have another drink, he picks at the hot dog he purchased from the convenience store. he mentions when there’s been a touchdown, and he’s not sure if she’s rooting for any team, but it’s nice having someone to watch tv with (  he and his mom usually settle on forensic files or the weather channel when it’s the two of them, they don’t get to talk about GROWN MEN playing sports ball  much  ).

     by the end of the night, he’s paid more attention to her consumption and less to the game; worrying is deeply seeded in him. the idea to leave a note comes because he doesn’t think anything he says is getting through, his experience being little to none with intoxication. it takes some time of prodding to figure out where a pen and a post-it are, but once it’s out, he gets to scrawling.

He hadn’t seen her for a while. At times, Lolly had seemed some figment of his imagination, some corruption of a ghost from his past come back to torment him only to disappear again. But here she was again, smiling a smile that wasn’t a smile at all, with blood dripping off her knife. A couple of bodies were strewn about her feet, he didn’t care to look to see if they had been dead or alive before she had killed them.

“Lolly.”

Her name sounded innocent yet it was anything but, he spoke it with anger and disgust in his voice. The name was some sort of candied bittersweet fruit on his tongue, all crystalized sugar but deceptive.

“Haven’t seen you in a long time.” 

The words hardly had passed through his lips before she bounded over, the hand with her knife pressed against his chest, her small knuckles grinding into his sternum as the knife dripped blood onto his shirt. Her other hand wrapped around his neck and he hadn’t felt his skin wanting to crawl from his flesh like this since Viktor. His shock allowed her to pull him down just the slightest bit so she could whisper into his ear. It dripped into his ear like water, and he resisted the feeling of needing to shake his head.

“Aw, Alexi.” His name was drawn out with an uptick that made him grit his teeth. "Let’s not dwell on our corpse strewn past; let’s celebrate our corpse strewn future.“

The words sent a shiver through him and he came back to himself. Now that he had regained control of his body, and he pushed her away, mindful of the blade just inches from his neck. Once she was a comfortable distance away, a slight pout to her lips and a devilish glimmer in her eyes, he spoke through his still gritted teeth.

“We have no future, Lolly. Leave.”

She took a step towards him, and he tensed which made her laugh. Glass crunched under her shoes as she turned, carelessly gesturing to the bodies she stepped over.

“Fine, maybe next time. We could have some fun like this.”

Alexi spent a moment too long looking at the bodies, all the blood pooled on the floor, and she was gone before his words could leave his mouth. Not likely.

      ❝   there is no emptiness. there’s never been one, and you’re the only reason it’s stayed that way.   ❞     an emptiness? well, anthony can’t think of a time he hasn’t FELT; quite the contrary. his life is littered with bouts of anger, tears, and most recently JOY.     ❝   just questions, you know?   ❞     even in not knowing the answers, he doesn’t feel lost. more than anything, he feels found with her. he wonders if they treated her well, and he can’t do anything about it if not and that’s what drives the anger. it’s what brings the tension to his shoulders and what leaves his hands clenching the air as though a neck will simply appear in them.     ❝   i’m sorry, it was selfish of me to push.   ❞     he means it. anthony has never been entirely selfish; one for the good of many, it’s how he validates his killing. but this is something personal, what good would forcing her to talk bring? what good would EVER hurting her do? it’d only serve to hurt him, and her, and no doubt everyone who knows her   (  oona is something bright, she can’t be just to him  ). he’s certainly not innocent, but his path is paved with good intentions.

      anthony doesn’t scoff, he doesn’t say NOT IN THIS WORLD, he doesn’t shoot it down – none of it crosses his mind. the last time he felt at home, he was five in his pjs, feeling invincible on his father’s shoulders  (  his mom told him to dress proper, his father argued for his comfort  ).     ❝   yes, oona, of course.   ❞     it’s almost as though he’s had a eureka moment, what with the enthusiasm his words leave his mouth with.     ❝   you are so darned smart, you know that?   ❞     it’s not like she’s figured out the secrets of the world or the meaning of life, but it feels groundbreaking to him.       ❝   tell you what, you go find a couch you like, i’ll haul it over.   ❞     the lengths he’d go to in order to make her happy? his whole life has been based off not being who people tell him he is, his whole life has been going against the grain – for her? anthony would do anything. he’d mold himself into whoever she wanted. if there’s one truth he’s never doubted, it’s that oona deserves the best version of everything. all he can do is pray that that the best version of him doesn’t fall short.
