a  continuation  of  sorts  to  this  one  

                 the  rpc  is  so  superficial  about  everything.  friendships,  writing,  all  of  it.  even  things  that  they'll  get  up  in  arms  about  they're  picky  with.  friendships  are  superficial  because  you'll  be  besties  with  someone  a  month  after  becoming  mutual's  and  then  months  later  they  will  be  on  each  other's  dni  even  though  said  fall  out  was  nothing  serious  or  harmful.  and  then  mutuals  are  forced  to  picks  sides.  it  is  the  internet  version  of  hs  drama  a  lot  of  the  times.  i'm  sure  there  are  people  who  have  made  wonderful  friendships  on  here  but  i  am  very  cautious  about  those  super  quick  friendships  because  from  what  i’ve  seen,  they  almost  always  end  in  drama  of  some  type.  the  rpc  being  superficial  when  it  comes  to  writing?  no  sé  diga.  like  i  mentioned  in  the  previous  ask,  people  online  want  that  dopamine  hit.  and  it  is  understandable  because  that  is  how  social  media  is  designed.  that  dopamine  hit  comes  from  writing  about  very  specific  dynamics  we  like  and  giving  quick  banter-y  replies  and  posting  uwu  comments  about  their  cinnamon  roll  muse.  for  the  most  part  it  does  not  come  from  trying  to  actually  develop  the  character  outside  of  canon  and  not  treat  a  disability  or  addiction  like  it  is  some  quirky  pun  a  la  marbel  writers.  long  term  threads  with  mutual  character  development  that  last  longer  than  two  months?  the  rpc  has  never  heard  of  them  because  who  has  time  for  continuing  threads  that  are  older  than  a  month?  (  but  those  are  unpopular  opinions  for  another  time  )  and  plotting  is  so  hard,  verging  on  impossible.  at  least  that  has  been  my  experience  recently.  i  really  don't  know  how  other  plot  based  blogs  do  it  but  boy  have  i  been  struggling  and  here  i  go  back  to  the  lack  of  genuine  interest  outside  of  people’s  favs  and  the  lack  of  interest  in  anything  that  isn't  extremely  specific.  (  i  myself  have  been  trying  to  stop  doing  this  because  pretty  much  everyone  in  the  rpc  is  guilty  of  this  lbr    )
