A disturbing thing about s3x03, Goblin's Gold

[The goblin sees Merlin and jumps out the window with Morgana's healing bracelet. Merlin hurries to put Morgana's jewellery back in the box. Gwen enters behind him and clears her throat] GWEN I'm really not sure it suits you, Merlin.

this was the 2nd or 3rd time Guinevere caught Merlin touching Morgana's belongings, first time was in s1x01 when he first got to Morgana up close, and then when he stole clothes for Freya in s2x09.

It was disturbing why Gwen just thought that it was alright for Merlin to keep doing this, and not even the least bit suspicious, resentful or afraid of him. Why was Guinevere like this? Did she have secret animosity/resentment for Morgana?

Fine, let's say she's okay with the suspicion that Merlin might be "gay" or "effeminate" but is it a servant x servant thing to just allow your fellow servant to touch/disturb/take your mistress's valuable belongings?

Guinever was extremely fortunate that Morgana wasn't quick to accuse her of thievery tbh. Most masters would have resorted to that. That's a testament of how Morgana treats her people. But still. that was no excuse for a trusted maidservant like Guinevere to be that careless, thoughtless and disrespectful of a nobles' prized trosseau.
