this might be a mix of personalities + (english) voices but 2021 smurfs feel like they have more prominent age differences? whereas 80s smurfs felt more or less the same. not major gaps just enough you can clearly sort them into older - middle - younger categories (like siblings). anyways i haven't thought of everyone but

older: hefty, farmer, smurfette, chef

middle: jokey, vanity, poet, handy

younger: greedy, painter, timid

#im not sure where to put lazy and scaredy #lazy either on the older or middle category and scaredy either on the middle or younger category #anyways. hefty and smurfette obviously the big brother/ sister figures of the group.#chef and farmer more or less have the most important responsibilities in the village (feeding everyone)#jokey middle child syndrome i've said enough /lh #other than that the middle group is probably the most easygoing. they're just doing their own thing.#greedy is chef's annoying younger brother figure you can't convince me otherwise #painter is on the younger list 95% bc of the voice. ngl. also he's overdramatic (affectionate)#and others are willing to do nice things for him like getting up at 4am presumably because he asked #if that isn't younger sibling who has everyone wrapped around their finger energy.#astra rambles #smurfblogging #edit: when i say easygoing i mean like. independent and stuff.
