Accessibility of Metro and bus lines:

All metro stations have escalators and elevators. You can sign up for the ELstat alert system to get live updates when elevators are out of service. Metro stations have bumpy tiles near platforms, flashing lights when trains arrive, and have audio and visual display systems that show announcements.

Metro cars do not have a gap between the platform and car, and there is priority seating, as well as wheelchair securement spaces on all cars.

for buses, all buses are kneeling buses that have lifts or ramps. There is priority seating, and most buses have both a visual and audio display.

for public restrooms on the day of the march, all Smithsonians are free to enter and have public restrooms, including ADA accessible restrooms, but you might have to walk through a metal detector or get your bag searched to enter. Another close public restroom is the Eisenhower Memorial, which has public restrooms around the back of the building that are available from the outside.

There are many different police forces in DC, and depending on what area you're protesting on in DC, and whether or not federal police forces have jurisdiction, there might be many different agencies who have different procedures they follow. Keep an eye out for police, what uniforms they're wearing, and ask people local to DC for help identifying what cops are in the area. Here's a link with some basic info on the most frequently present cops. Here's some resources from the DC NLG about your rights and what to expect from police response, what happens if you get arrested, etc. Also check out the principles to DC organizing created by Washington Peace Center and DC BLM, especially if you have never protested in DC before and are not familiar with local activist work!
