It’s a criminal law oral assessment and this year they have based it on offences against the persons (aka. Assault, Battery ABH or GBH). Being in law school is like.. ah.. hirap iexplain. 

First. It is an experience of a life time. 

Not everyone has the guts to enter law school. Be proud kasi yung pagpasa mo palang sa PhilSat and sa entrance exam ng school na papasukan mo is a big achievement. Every achievement counts hind ba?

Pero hindi ako nagtake ng PhilSat. hahahaha!! Shout out sa LEB for granting exemptions sa mga Laude graduates! <3

Second. It is your nightmare.

Kung nung college ka eh sanay kang magising ng maaga at matulog ng umaga ,hindi pa rin sapat yun. To study law is to give up your life in order to achieve that ATTY extension sa name mo. Very inspiring ang mga taong kaya pa rin magkilay bago sila makapasok ng classroom. 

As a student, isa akong magaling na procrastinator kaya ngayon sobrang hirap ako mag-aral. I wake up at 10am and do my readings 4 hours before class. It’s not enough. Bali ang nagagawa ko lang sa apat na oras eh i-scan yung mga back logs* ko. (Back Logs- term yan sa mga assignment/cases/readings na hindi mo pa tapos basahin tapos may panibago na naman ibibigay yung prof mo. Hayup men.)

May vertigo ako so hindi ako pwede na magpuyat all the time or else mamamatay ako for a day and trust me, you miss a lot if you’re dead for even just an hour. Ang ginagawa ko is I plot my strengths and weaknesses. Mahina ako sa memorization but I have good recalling skills and medyo (mga 0.00000000000000000001%) eiditic memory so what I do is to connect in real life ang readings. There was this one case na ang taong involve is ka-apilido ko so I try to imagine myself as the respondent in order to recall facts and the rulings. 

Magaling ako sa Criminal Law pero bobo na ako sa lahat. Hindi ko alam. Sadyang mas nakatakda ata na maging kriminal ako kesa abogado, 

Civil Law is hard for me. Since first time ko talaga sya ma-encounter. So double the effort in this one. Cases help me a lot to understand the provisions. Books, uhm..so-so. Minsan sagabal lang sila. 

Wala kayong masyadong mapupulot na study tips sa akin because even I myself is having a hard time to study. hahahah! Ba’t ako nag blog??? Wala. Madami ako time eh. 

Third. Childish people. 

Punong-puno ang law school ng mga taong hindi mo alam paano sila pinalaki ng mga magulang nila. Yung iba kapaki-pakinabang yung iba ang sarap batuhin ng codal :D #nohatejustlove

Eto yung mga anak mayaman na pag may sinabing libro yun prof mo eh matic after 5 minutes may copy na sila samantalang ikaw nakapila ka ng dalawang oras para makuha yun libro or nagstick ka nalang sa iligal na book copy kasi tig tatlong libo yun book

Sila naman yung mga masarap batukan pag on deck sila or kapag biglang nalate yung prof tapos ina-assume nila na may quiz na kayo so ikaw naman mahahawa sa pag papanic nila.Mas marami pang time yung pagpanic kesa sa actual studying time.

Tabihan mo sila besh. Mga matatalino at pinagpalang nilalang ang mga yan. Alam lahat. Parang kinain nila yung codal sobrang kabisa ultimo yung comma and period nung provision alam isulat. 

GossipGirls Law Edition

Sila naman yung mga classmates mo na kilala ang buong law community at wagas kung makakuha ng info! Beneficial at times except na lang pag ikaw na ang laman ng topic nila. Para silang PokeDex kasi may info sila sa lahat ng prof at kung paano ang style nila. Yung tipong nasa other class pa yung prof pero aware na sila anong provision ang dinidiscuss niya. Hayerp. 

Fourth. Sulit ba?

Oo naman. Sulit ang law school! Mahal pero sulit. If dream mo talaga maging abogado, everything is worth it. Pero kung napadpad ka lang sa law school kasi akala mo kaya mo and dahil sabi ng lawyer mong tatay, aba mag-isip ka ulit besh. Kasi if you don’t like what you’re doing, you find everything hard. 

You cannot love what you don’t find interesting. So mahalin mo lang ang lawschool. Keep that spark alive!

As a new wig, I had so many things in my head and super excited to practice and exhibit all that I’d learnt in the past 6 years, well I could say I was super zealous as always. The judges in a Dutch copyright case plagiarized a legal blogger in writing their opinion. The case held that framing and embedding is a form of copyright infringement (a maximalist copyright view that I find pretty dubious as a policy matter), and the relevant section from the opinion, "in case law and legal literature it is generally held that an embedded link constitutes a publication. After all, the material can be viewed or heard within the context of the website of those who placed the link, and placement causes the material to reach a new audience" is identical to text that appeared earlier on SOLV lawyer Douwe Linders's blog. Dutch copyright's fair dealing rules allow for some quotation without permission, but passing off someone else's text as your own is plagiarism, and weakens the fair dealing claim as well.

The different forms of Intellectual Property offer some protection to this complex industry; however, this protection is not adequate. For example, copyright law protects any artistic expression however this is limited to the expression and not the functionality of the design -which in fashion is crucial. Furthermore, copyright limits its protection to works that are not meant to be re-produced, which in a sense, defeats the purpose of any fashion design. Design law aims to fill in the gaps where copyright falls short. However, the requirements which need to be fulfilled for any design to attract this form of protection are a slightly unrealistic. A design needs to be novel and it must not have been released to the public to attract design protection. A designer could be taking a risk as he or she could be unsure of how well such a design will be received by the public and so it will be difficult determining if the design would be worth protecting or not. Design registrations are also difficult to obtain -the process is lengthy and expensive. Nigerian intellectual property laws are in dire need of reform. For example, copyright laws could be reformed to allow for full protection without the limitation of production.
