I'm also catching up with World of Warcraft news. Watched both the cinematic and the Blizzcon video on the Official WOW channel. Now I'm on the video about the upcoming expansion :3

I've also been having trouble finding the way I want to draw Tenmei for the longest time. It's difficult because I want him to be identifiably male at first glance, but not really masculine at all. More like androgenous. But also some little feminine traits. Like long hair.

Frank Kekyoin -

Meme/Reverse Tarot/Evil AU

Parody of Dank Meme / M.I.L.F. Hunter Kakyoin. I also recently started incorporating the reverse meaning of his corresponding Tarot card, The Hierophant.

Frank at face value can be best described as a Trashy Fuckboy. He's shamelessly vulgar, in both an offensive and sexual way. This is actually a facade for his fragile masculine ego and a rebellion against his rich asshole parents.

Because of his fragile male ego, he is also homophobic. And also internally homophobic as well.

He has a very unhealthy sexual relationship with Reverse-Taro (see below). Because of Frank's indulgence in sex (stems from his ego), he can't help but indulge in Reverse-Taro and his sadistic behavior.

He is avoiding any thoughts and actual feelings about this and further indulging in sex.

He will definitely need some intensive therapy after all of this, debatable if he'll get it any time soon.

Miki/Tenmei Joestar -

Ship AU

Started out as a parody of Fanon Shipping Kakyoin, but I wanted to explore and add more depth to them.

Miki/Tenmei is a kind, sensitive, and shy person. Going by his birth name Tenmei, he experienced bullying by other kids growing up because of him having a more feminine personality (and hobbies), and it turned him growing up with crippling self-esteem issues, which only start to improve in SDC with help from the group/the Crusaders.

Tenmei decided to join the Crusaders for multiple reasons. He wants to prove to himself, his bullies, and DIO that he is not weak and cowardly. He also greatly values Shiptaro (See below) saving his life. And finally, Tenmei develops a massive crush on Shiptaro after he saved his life.

The Journey in SDC is very important to his "coming of age". It is a slow and agonizing personal journey, He learns to take pride in his femininity, and decides to come out as Bigender (late into SDC)

"Shiptaro" Jotaro Joestar -

Ship AU

Similar to Miki/Tenmei, he started out as a Parody of Shipping Fanon Jotaro, But I wanted to explore and deepen his character.

Shiptaro is similar to Canon Jotaro in his Hypermasculine appearance and facade, but taken up a notch. Shiptaro is a trans man, and by SDC, he proudly wears his top Scars literally on his chest, as well as his body hair. Of course this didn't come without sacrifices, especially during the 1980s. During SDC, it's slowly revealed what Shiptaro has gone through in order to look like, be accepted as a man, and how he became a Delinquent.

A part of this is also me wanting to explore Canon Jotaro's character and backstory, but in my own way.

Just like Tenmei, Shiptaro develops a crush on him. Shiptaro saved Tenmei because not only of both his heritage (Joestar Bloodline) and childhood morals (Holy teaching him to be a good boy and his childhood hero being Clint Eastwood) of being Just; but because he sees part of himself in him. He heavily relates to being berated and out-casted by his peers, and struggling to find his true identity because and in spite of that.

Shiptaro's crush starts developing when Tenmei shows him kindness in small moments. Shiptaro definitely likes Tenmei, but he avoids accepting it due to internalized homophobia and his need to be Hypermasculine.

Shiptaro also really struggles to express his emotions (other than rage) and open up because of his hypermasculinity and trauma.

Reverse/Evil-Taro -

Meme/Reverse Tarot/Evil AU

The Jotaro Counterpart to Frank. He also works as a foil of sorts to DIO. Also an exploration of what an Evil version Jotaro could look like.

The most recent of characters to this multi-AU. Reverse-Taro is Sadistic, and believes humanity is not worth saving and "deserves to burn in hell". As of right now, I haven't decided the catalyst for this behavior. Reverse-taro is a villain protagonist who is also going up against a villain antagonist in DIO.

Also, im not quite sure how quick or slow Shiptaro will even realize his feelings for Tenmei

He is very sharp, and I think Tenmei blushing when he removes his fleshbud would be a big enough of a clue for him to realize that Tenmei likes him, even with being autistic.

Would Shiptaro even begin to ask himself the question about whether he likes Tenmei back?

Idea:

Since Shiptaro was basically on survival mode/extremely stressed out during his time in jail-

(not cause of jail of course, but rather him not knowing what his stand is and the general threat of the other men saying stuff about him)

Avdol gives him his stress ball that he secretly carries around with him (I think that would make sense, since he is a big worry-er)

"Here, I'll give you my stress ball for the time being. You seem to need it more than me right now. Just give it a squeeze when you're stressed. It does wonders for me."

Shiptaro does take it, but he's still standoffish. When he decides to use it, when he's feeling not as threatened, it breaks cause of how much general stress he's in.

Like they would be in a more chill situation like the drive to the restaurant after they got Jotaro out of jail, and they would hear it break. I'd Imagine that Joseph is driving, Holly is in the front passengers seat, mainly to help navigate, and Jotaro and Avdol are in the back.

"Oh. Well they're pretty cheap. Don't worry about it, we can buy or even make a few more."

It's been like about a week-ish since I decided this, but I'm changing Miki's name (post-coming out name) to Taeko. After Taeko Onuki.

I've been thinking about having Taeko Onuki as her favorite musician. I already have it decided that City Pop/New Music would be her favorite genre. I've recently discovered Taeko Onuki's music on Spotify. I already heard a clip from 4:00 AM, but I found more of her music through a city pop playlist on Spotify and really liked it.

Also on the topic of her name, I'm not sure if I want to have her original surname be Noriaki or Kakyoin. I'll just tag both here and I'll ask Bob what he thinks.

Er well shiptaro and how he forced himself into toxic masculinity to fit in, but not like an evil way, just in like the box he fits himself into, and how he expresses his other emotions through anger.

And then since he was kind in his own way and made himself open as someone tenmei can display and express how he truly wants to be, Tenmei in turn is open to him and asks how he is doing emotionally.

When going to college together (In the US), Miki and Shiptaro would hear this and reminisce about their adventure and how they felt about each other and themselves.

Also basing this off of the time it came out. If they heard it while on their journey, they would be an absolute wreck. I could possibly write that scene, but I already have other ideas to get their walls to break, and I think them listening to it together in college would make for a heartfelt scene.

I have lots of ideas where music helps progress the story or characters. I'm definitely going to share them soon.

I think Shiptaro would have a love for "monster" movies because of the reasons discussed in this video

He's someone who is osctracized for being different, and is in agony. He lashes out in self defense.

All the kids at school would talk behind his back for him being different and ostracize him. When Shiptaro would watch Monster movies like Frankenstein's monster, he would get upset and cry "he's just like me".

Not sure when Holly would find out, but she would be Shiptaro's biggest advocate. Unfortunately, as much as she pleads to the school(s), they ignore her.

All this here is the main reason why Shiptaro turned to Delinquency

So I watched episode 2 and 3 of SDC again to refresh myself on the tone for writing/brainstorming, and I noticed there's quite a disconnect.

To be fair, Shiptaro and Tenmei have a lot more baggage than Canon Jotaro and Kakyoin, especially when they were younger. Also they were initially based on a parody of Jotakak, then I decided to take those parodies and explore them and eventually turned them into much deeper characters.

Now that I'm writing this post, I think I'm being a little hard on myself for thinking my characters are "cringe" after comparing them to the Canon characters. I also have the benefit of around 3 years of experience with the Canon Characters, so I can really read the nuance of Jotaro and Kakyoin a lot better than someone just getting into Jojo.

Hell, a good portion of people at least in the west think Jotaro and Kakyoin are bad characters. They think Jotaro is a Gary Stu with no emotion and Kakyoin as a cardboard cutout (or as a "M.I.L.F. Hunter or a stereotypical femboy), but there are clearly scenes which show other wise.

Something I've enjoyed about my characters is that they have bigger personalities that get me attached, then I always tend to explore the why and how of them and their world. I think with the less dramatic Jojo characters, it's hard to connect with them on a first watch because it can be hard to understand what's actually going on 'beneath the hood' so to speak. So characters like Jotaro and Giorno. I think another part of it is my autism that makes it hard for me to pick up on social nuance.

All of this has me thinking about whether I want to change up their personalities to be more low key or not. It might just be in my head for tonight about how I want to perceive them. I guess we'll see.

I've been having bouts of some depression the past few days at least, and I think it's because I've been so absorbed in this that I haven't been getting enough social interaction. My social anxiety is also getting a little worse, and it's been getting to me even when I'm alone. It's really difficult to balance considering where I am in life rn (I don't have a job and only go out with family on weekends) and a good chunk of my social interaction the past half year has been through online friends and especially voice chatting and hanging out with my Splatoon 3 friends. I think I should take it easy and prioritize taking more time to socialize. I've also been out of school/graduated since May and I haven't really done much in terms of finding out what exactly I want to do in life now other than moping about it. Anyway, I should really get in touch with my family and friends more and take my passions in more moderation.
