do you ever go to do the laundry and start by matching up all the socks? you keep going until you have a nice stack of paired up socks and feel a small sense of accomplishment. Then you see one sock that you missed before. It’s not part of a pair. It’s all alone and there are no other socks looking for another sock to be paired up with. Then you realize that you feel like that one lone sock.
