SOON IN ARIZONA,…. . Incredibly honored to see live and in person one of my favorite Colombian (@itscolombianotcolumbia) compatriot and artists, the one and only,… Maestro @fernandobotero._ production, outside my birth country. . For what it will be a traveling exhibit, curated by Chief Curator: @gabyurtiaga for @molaa.art in Los Angeles (along Beach), and one that will be traveling to our own @dbgphx in Phoenix later this fall. . An exhibit that includes this over-sized (literally) piece by the name of “Reclining Woman” (2007). many other pieces and sculptures by the famous Colombian maestro. . With paintings, extracts of personal notes, sketches, a video interview and sculptures, this is an exhilarating exhibit. . A narration of his early days, as an artist as early as 1977, all the way to his latest production, painted in 202 during the world pandemic and what is is his latest painting. . I am overly excited to know that this exhibition will be part of the world of arts in the Sonoran desert. . …..And once again, I meet with the gordas! . Stay tuned for a number of programs, talks, conversations, and many other opportunities around this beautifully curated exhibit. . And,… if you want to get more information, please send me a DM and I’ll let you know details and how to get it to your city, after the Phoenix exhibit run in 2024. . The chosen red color for the background was the most impactful moment as I entered the room, as the maestro uses it as an accent in his paintings and reminded me of a tauromachy series he did years back, where bullfighting and the art around it was part of the lexicon of the series . . Excited, exultant and proud! . Thank you MOOLA team; • Lourdes Ramos, President & CEO. • Gabriela (Gabby) Urtiaga, Curator. • Luis Cortes, Director if the office of the President. …. For your hospitality and thank you DBG for the opportunity. . Stay tuned Arizona! . #Botero #FernandoBotero #Art #Colombia #Colombian #ItsColombiaNotColumbia #MiTierra #LatinAmericaStong #ColombianPower #🇨🇴💪🏽 (at Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA)) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqPMys1uuZH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

An exhibit that include many other pieces and sculptures by the famous Colombian maestro, who is now, a renown modern-art-master with fans all over the world. . With paintings, extracts of personal notes, sketches, a video interview and sculptures, this is an exhilarating exhibit. . A narration of his early days, as an artist as early as 1977, all the way to his latest production, painted in 202 during the world pandemic and what is is his latest painting. . I am overly excited to know that this exhibition will be part of the world of arts in the Sonoran desert for sometime, and as a personal note, I am excited to tell, all of you, the many parallels in my life with Botero Family, the Botero production and the maestro’s production through the years. . And once again, I meet with the gordas! . Stay tuned for a number of programs, talks, conversations, and many other opportunities around this beautifully curated exhibit. .
