Happy birthday to Abel Makkonen Tesfaye better known to everyone as the Weeknd .
His accolades include four Grammy Awards, 20 Billboard Music Awards, 22 Juno Awards, six American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, a Latin Grammy Award and nominations for an Academy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award.
Tesfaye began releasing music anonymously in 2009. After co-founding the record label XO, he released three mixtapes—House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence—in 2011, and gained recognition for his blend of contemporary and alternative R&B, as well as the mystery surrounding his identity. He signed with Republic Records to reissue the mixtapes into the compilation album Trilogy(2012), and release his debut studio album, Kiss Land (2013) the following year. After a string of collaborations and film soundtrack contributions from 2013 and 2014, Tesfaye transitioned from alternative R&B to a popsound with his second and third studio albums, Beauty Behind the Madness (2015) and Starboy (2016), both of which debuted atop the US Billboard 200, spawning the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Can't Feel My Face", "The Hills", "Starboy", and "Die for You" (the latter following a remix with American singer Ariana Grande).
He returned to alternative R&B for his debut extended play, My Dear Melancholy (2018), which included the US top-ten single "Call Out My Name". He explored the dream-pop and new wave genres with his fourth studio album, After Hours (2020), which spawned the chart-topping singles "Heartless", "Save Your Tears" (also a remix with Ariana Grande), as well as "Blinding Lights", which became the best-performing song in the Billboard Hot 100's history and the longest-charting song at the time. Tesfaye began exploring dance-pop, leading to his fifth album, Dawn FM (2022), which included the US top-ten single, "Take My Breath". In 2023, he co-created and starred in the HBO drama series The Idol, which was a critical failure, while its accompanying soundtrack saw commercial success. His sixth album, Hurry Up Tomorrow(2025), yielded the US top-five single, "Timeless".

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month–which just ended last week– and Latin music making its way into global music charts, I want to spotlight some of these Hispanic music artists that deserve a listen. THE MARIAS
If you’re a fan of indie bedroom-pop, you’ll love The Marias’ retro, dreamy sound. The Marias is a Latinx band that formed back in 2016 named after its lead singer, Maria Zardoya. Zardoya alternates between English and Spanish lyrics as she incorporates her Puerto Rican roots with her soft, velvety vocals. With Josh Conway on the drums, Edward James on the keyboard, and Jesse Perlman on the guitar, they create a psychedelic and atmospheric sound using guitar riffs and jazz elements. Zardoya and Conway wrote and produced their first track “I Don’t Know You" which was discovered and played by a radio station igniting their success.
Click here to check out this interview where Zardoya talks about the fate behind the band’s start and career.
Give this performance a listen to hear what they're about!

OMAR APOLLO
Starting as a guitarist at his Catholic church in Indiana and writing songs in his bedroom on the side, Mexican-American artist, Omar Apollo, amassed overnight success when he uploaded “Ugotme” to Spotify back in 2017. Since then he has collaborated on works with Daniel Caesar and Kali Uchis and learned from producers including Pharrell Williams. Nominated for the 2023 Best New Artist Grammy, he has established a name for himself with his ambient, bilingual and soulful music. He sings about his Mexican heritage, trials with love, and experiences as a gay man while mixing in elements of Mexican culture like singing with a live mariachi.

KALI UCHIS
Kali Uchis is a Columbian-American artist who has reached mainstream success with her bilingual tracks, but also fully Spanish albums over the years. She has a dreamy voice with a genre-bending range akin to classic oldies, 2000s R&B, and high tempo reggaeton. Living out of her car in Virginia with a love for music, Uchis focused on creating and solidifying herself as an artist. Her music started to gain traction after she released her songs online, connecting her to artists in the Los Angeles music scene she would later collaborate with. Her name might sound familiar if you didn’t already know about her because of her popular tracks with Tyler the Creator, Daniel Caesar, SZA, and Omar Apollo.

The tour featured 138 performances worldwide, as well as several festival and condensed shows. The tour was the longest and most internationally comprehensive headlining tour the band played, featuring three legs in North America, two legs in Europe, and one in Asia, Australia, and Latin America.

In 2020, Rolling Stone ranked the album number 361 in their updated "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list.[2]
Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (often shortened to Three Cheers or Revenge)[1] is the second studio album by American rock band My Chemical Romance, released on June 8, 2004 by Reprise Records.[2][3] With this album, the band produced a cleaner sound than that of their 2002 debut I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.[4] It was the band's first release to feature rhythm guitarist Frank Iero on all tracks, as well as the final release to feature drummer Matt Pelissier, who would later be replaced by Bob Bryar.[5]
The album was a success for both the band and the label.[6] The record produced four singles—"I'm Not Okay (I Promise)", "Helena", "The Ghost of You", and in the United Kingdom, "Thank You for the Venom".[4] It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) less than a year after its release,[3] and has sold over three million copies in the United States.[6]
Musically, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge has been described as emo,[7][8] alternative rock,[8] pop punk,[9] post-hardcore,[10] punk rock,[11] and pop rock.[12] While I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love was considered "a particularly strident entry in that shifty genre of bands tortuously slamming together elements of emo, hardcore, and even metal",[13] Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge "both showcased their songwriting skills and gave them much-deserved attention".[4] Moving away from the "screamo parts"[14] and "the more complicated structures"[15] of their first record in favor of a sound that "skirts the line between pop punk and edgy, theatrical, emo"[4] while being "strongly influenced by hardcore punk",[15] Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge has been variously compared to The Misfits,[16] AFI,[13] and Thursday.[13]
Lead singer Gerard Way has referred to the first single "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" as a "self help pop song"[17] while also being called "a surging piece of emo-pop with a hook as ridiculously catchy as it was ridiculous"[18] and a "moving anthem for the young and depressed"[19] by AllMusic and Rolling Stone respectively. This single went on to be nominated for the Kerrang! award for best single[20] and reached number 86 on the US Billboard Hot 100.[21]
The album opener "Helena" has been referred to as an "album highlight and smash hit". Gerard has claimed that the song "shaped what the album is about" and "revealed their dark side" in comparison to the first single.[17] Its lyrics mourn the loss of Gerard and Mikey's grandmother,[17] Elena Lee Rush, and was their first entry into the top 40.[21]

Justin Bieber
Justin Drew Bieber (/ˈbiːbər/ BEE-bər; born March 1, 1994)[1][2] is a Canadian singer. Regarded as a pop icon, he is recognized for his multi-genre musical performances.[3][4][5] Bieber was discovered by American record executive Scooter Braun and signed with RBMG Records in 2008, gaining recognition with the release of his debut seven-track EP My World (2009) and soon establishing himself as a teen idol.
Bieber achieved commercial success with his teen pop-driven debut studio album, My World 2.0 (2010), which debuted atop the US Billboard 200, making him the youngest solo male act to top the chart in 47 years.[6] The album spawned the internationally successful single "Baby" (featuring Ludacris), which became one of the best selling singles of all time in the US.[7] His second studio album, Under the Mistletoe (2011), became the first Christmas album by a male artist to debut at number one in the US.[8] Bieber experimented with dance-pop in his third studio album, Believe (2012), and went on to become the first artist in history with five US number-one albums by the age of 18.[9] From 2013–14, Bieber was involved in multiple controversies and legal issues, which had a drastic impact on his public image.[10]
In 2015, Bieber explored EDM with Jack Ü as a lead vocalist on "Where Are Ü Now", which won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.[11][12] The song's musical direction played an instrumental role in his fourth studio album, Purpose, which produced three US number-one singles: "Love Yourself", "Sorry", and "What Do You Mean?". He became the first artist in history to occupy the entire top three of the UK Singles Chart.[13] Bieber diversified on numerous collaborations between 2016 and 2017, including DJ Khaled's "I'm the One" and his remix to Luis Fonsi's "Despacito"—both reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 a week apart, making him the first artist in history to chart new number-one songs in consecutive weeks.[14] "Despacito" was named the greatest Latin song of all time by Billboard and earned Bieber his career-first Latin Grammy Award. In 2019, he released a country collaboration with Dan + Shay, "10,000 Hours", which won the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.[15]
In 2020, Bieber released his R&B-inspired fifth studio album, Changes, which debuted at number one in both the UK and US, and a standalone duet with Ariana Grande, "Stuck with U", which debuted atop the US Billboard Hot 100.[16] Bieber returned to his pop roots on his sixth studio album, Justice (2021). It spawned the worldwide hit "Peaches" (featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon) and debuted atop the US Billboard 200, making him the youngest soloist to have eight US number-one albums, a record held previously by Elvis Presley since 1965.[17] The same year, Bieber released "Stay" (with the Kid Laroi), which became his eighth US number-one single.[18]
Bieber is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 150 million records worldwide. He is credited with four Diamond certifications from the RIAA.[19] He has received numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, eight Juno Awards, two Brit Awards, one Bambi Award, 26 Billboard Music Awards, 18 American Music Awards, 22 MTV Europe Music Awards (the most wins for any artist), 23 Teen Choice Awards (the most wins for a male individual), and 33 Guinness World Records. Time named Bieber one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2011, and he was included on Forbes' list of the top ten most powerful celebrities in 2011, 2012, and 2013

Ahora van a conciertos. ) acapulcopress.com Read the full article

Coldplay has also stated that a limited amount of Infinity Tickets will be available for the events on BookMyShow at 12 p.m. IST on Friday, November 22nd, 2024. Infinity Tickets are available for every Coldplay event, making the Music Of The Spheres World Tour affordable to fans. They will cost the local currency equivalent of €20 (Rs. 2000) per ticket and must be purchased in pairs. They are limited to two tickets per customer and must be purchased in pairs (which will be located next to each other). Since its launch in March 2022, the Music Of The Spheres World Tour has sold over 10 million tickets throughout Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, making it the most attended tour by a group of all time. In addition to Mumbai, the trip will visit Abu Dhabi, Seoul, and Hong Kong from January to April 2025. The announced dates will continue the band's attempts to reach every part of the world. The tour has also earned high praise from fans and critics alike, with awards including Favourite Touring Artist at the 2022 AMAs and Tour of the Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards.
Coldplay's future album, Moon Music, will be released on October 4th, 2024, and will set new sustainability norms, with each LP manufactured entirely of recycled plastic bottles (nine per record). It is currently available for pre-order on EcoCD, EcoRecord LP, and digital. WE PRAY, featuring Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna, and TINI, is the iTunes chart-topping follow-up to June's double MTV VMA-nominated track feelslikeimfallinginlove, which peaked at number one on both the UK airplay chart and the Official Big Top 40. Chris Martin posted a video in which he discusses the album and its accompanying Notebook Edition, saying, "I think what this album is about is struggling with all the conflict within oneself, within myself, and also all the conflict outside, and figuring out what the best response is." And I believe Moon Music is saying that love may be the finest reaction.
The band recently provided an update on their sustainability measures, stating that, on a show-by-show basis, the current tour has created 59% less CO2e emissions than their previous stadium tour in 2016/17, exceeding their initial objective of a 50% decrease. Over 9 million trees have already been planted around the world (an additional million will be planted by the end of the year).
