Bueno. Habremos perdido, pero la verdad no me siento ni desilusionado, ni disgustado. Fue un partido increíble, y aunque estuve en desacuerdo con algunas decisiones importantes del árbitro (Jhon Arias), ambos equipos lo dieron todo y no podría estar más orgulloso de mí selección. Mostramos nuestra valía y aguantamos y la peleamos frente a un equipo igualmente increíble tal cómo es Argentina.

Algún disgusto también hubo, tal cómo la lesión de Messi, que hasta a mí me entristeció, pero la experiencia valió la pena.

Los amo mi Sele, los amo Colombia. Los aprecio Argentina, tqm Messi. Muchas gracias por esta Copa, y ojalá sigamos mejorando, no hemos tenido tan buen equipo en años.

Los 9 rehenes latinoamericanos que siguen en manos de Hamas

🇦🇷🇨🇴 Desde el ataque de Hamas en Israel el 7 de octubre de 2023, nueve ciudadanos latinoamericanos permanecen como rehenes en Gaza. De estos, ocho son argentinos: la familia Bibas, que incluye a Shiri Silberman Bibas y sus dos hijos pequeños; los hermanos David y Ariel Cunio; los hermanos Eitan e Iair Horn; y Lior Rudaeff, quien fue asesinado por Hamas y cuyo cuerpo fue llevado a Gaza. El único rehén colombiano es Elkana Bohbot, quien fue secuestrado mientras trabajaba en un festival de música. Argentina recently secured victory in the 2024 Copa America tournament with a 1-0 win over Colombia at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

While the focus was on the football match, many observed the striking difference in the racial composition of the two teams. Colombia fielded Black players, while Argentina did not have any.

The disparity in team compositions among countries on the same continent can be attributed, in part, to historical racist policies enacted in Argentina over a century ago. In the late 18th century, Afro-Argentines made up nearly half of the population, but anti-Black measures diminished their numbers to 30% by the country's independence in 1816. Subsequent racial politics and alleged eradication efforts further marginalized Afro-Argentines, leading to their dwindling presence and erasure of their cultural contributions from the country's collective identity.

Presently, Afro-Argentines constitute a mere 0.4% of the total population, rendering Argentina not only the least diverse country in Latin America but also one of the least diverse outside of Europe.

The popular saying, 'Mexicans descend from the Aztecs, Peruvians from the Incas, but Argentinians descend from ships from Europe,' encapsulates Argentina's self-image as a nation primarily of White European descent with little acknowledgment of its Black heritage.

The historical suppression of Black individuals and their culture has had enduring impacts, as evidenced by the lack of Black representation in Argentina's football team.
