I was actually working on a completely different hunter all of last night but swapped servers to check my mail on this one and saw the exp buff was up in the dreamsurge area, so I decided to do that for a half hour. And then it was next on the list a half hour later, so when I got back from lunch I did it again. And then it was next on the list another half hour later, so I twiddled my thumbs on the internet and did it a third time, and that got me to 70, lol.

It's also timewalking week which is great exp and I should probably be doing some of that, but eh. Dungeons.

Timekeeper’s Revenge

Anyway, I KNOW some of you are just waiting to meet me. And just in time, I have returned with a buff! But first, why don’t we review what I have that puts me over the competition, shall we?

Periodically, I will rip open a rift and jump right in. While in the rift, mash the “Slide” button while it’s the “Embroider” button as fast as you can to create multiple time rifts worth a LOT of points! Fun fact: my Energy drains SLOWER while the rift is active!

After leaving the rifts, my charge meter fills to blink through time. The blink instantaneously sends me forward several Cookiemeters, scores points, and collects every last jelly between point A and B! Even the ones with wings!

With my new Magic Candy, each Time Blink conjures a Magic Time Rune that shows a random point in time while also conjuring what the Editor will dub Time Jellies!

My new pet Continuum Cog has two sides to its dimensional coin. When it glows gold with light, it conjures a White Hole to conjure several pulses of Light Jellies before it flips to the dark side. When the Continuum Cog reveals the interdimensional nebulous void within, it opens a Black Hole to absorb jellies and obstacles alike several times before showing its light side once again. BOTH sides of the ability restore energy to the Cookie, even if it’s not me!

You might ask, “Okay, but can’t Dark Enchantress control it when it’s its on its dark side?” Nay, NAY I SAY! She will never gain ahold of the future Cosmos Gear, not in a million years since it followed me and gained the ability to bend time to its will! I AM THE RULER OF THE EPHEMERAL FLOW!!! I WILL T-POSE OVER THE EDITOR AND EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!

Don’t forget to complete Tiramisu Cookie’s trial, as that ends the instant Timekeeper returns with Candy and Cog in tow. Custom Run will also begin alongside her return, and Chapter 2 of the “Save the Future” event will be available to play. As stated before, there is no second new Cookie coming with this month. Her Trial on the map will relocate from the “Lost in Time and Space” region to the “Timewalker” region.

The Breakout Episode rotation is already in effect as Escape from the Oven has been replaced with Sands of Yogurca, and the weekly Legendary reward replaced with Wind Archer Cookie and Windcatcher. Originally gained from ranking Diamond or higher in Sands of Yogurca, Thundersnow Yeti will now appear in Special Episode 2’s weekly rewards. Sands of Yogurca, Escape from the Oven, and Lost City of Sugarteara will be grouped into the Special Episode 1 cycle and will rotate out every 4 weeks. It is currently unknown if Dark Enchantress and Eternal Eye of Darkness will return with Escape from the Oven, or if Sea Fairy and Wave Drop will return with Lost City of Sugarteara.

*Fire Spirit Cookie, Magmabird, Millennial Tree Cookie, and Emerald Golem are currently predicted to be excluded from the weekly reward cycle, but can be purchased through the Breakout Shop.

Special Episode 2 will swap between Black Sugar Pirate Ship and Spooky Spider Mansion when they rotate, as they are the only two episodes that focus on coin collection over points to determine scoring. Fragrant Lotus Paradise will remain as the ONLY Main Episode as of now, and the rewards of Moonlight, Wind Archer, and Sea Fairy will remain as they were.

*The City of the Millennial Tree and the City of Wizards will NOT be incorporated into the Breakout Cycle cycle for now, most likely because their rewards (Wind Archer and Windcatcher, and Moonlight and Dreamcatcher) have been re-routed elsewhere, sorry about that.

i did not just get the same chest piece from the timewalking weekly as i did last week

BFA mobs are still stupidly overtuned.  I have halfway decent gear now (169 ilvl) and it still takes forever to kill rares in Mechagon, even with blowing all my cooldowns.  I saw a level 60 boomkin get killed by a rare.  I jumped in and tried to help but couldn’t get aggro off him because he’d soloed like 80% of the mob.  Seriously, level 60 players should not be struggling to solo level 50 rares.  It’s so dumb.

In related news, I got Honored with Rustbolt, so I just have to get to Revered so I can fly in BFA content.  I realize I could/should have done this rep a long, long time ago, but I didn’t.  I figured it would be relatively easy to breeze through at ten levels above it, but nope.  Ugh.

Otherwise, I’m at Renown level 13, and I unlocked the garden thing in Ardenweald.  The first pod I grew had like six common herbs in it, but I’m hoping as I upgrade and expand the rewards will be more lucrative.  Still a gorgeous little spot, though.

My guildies and I did some heroics earlier in the week (since I’d been too chicken to set foot in any instances in a pug, I hadn’t done any dungeons yet in Shadowlands), and the world boss in Bastion gave me Nathria tier gloves (ilvl 207), so that helped a bunch. I also got an ilvl 200 helm from the reward chest for WotLK Timewalking--and I only had to do Pit of Saron once this time around.  Phew.  My group still wiped like five times because everyone gets a serious case of the stupids in that place for some reason (seriously, we wiped three times on the trash and tunnel between the second-to-last boss and the last one.  WTF, people...)

Anyway, I need to get to bed.  I normally work Thursday evenings but since it’s New Year’s Eve we’re closing early so I have to get up an hour or so earlier than usual.  It’s kind of silly since we’re still closed to the public so it wouldn’t really matter if we kept our normal holiday hours or not, and nobody should be out there having parties anyway, but whatever.  Good riddance, 2020.

Idea: an epilepsy-themed talk show, hosted by Tumblr epilepsy bloggers, in the style of The View or The Five. The co-hosts could take turns moderating topics to keep discussion on track, and everyone would cut up and laugh and pretend they don’t feel awkward and uncomfortable.

They could discuss two or three epilepsy-related topics per episode, such as “Tips for gaining favor with the Epilepsy Fairy,” “How to respond to an epilepsy joke without resorting to violence,” or “How to respond to an epilepsy joke by immediately resorting to violence.” They could also do regular segments such as “This Day in History,” hosted by a Timewalker, and offer “life hacks” for living with epilepsy, such as “how to extract a sex toy from one of your orifices after an unexpected myoclonic jerk thrust it beyond the point of no return.” Movies could be reviewed for photosensitive safety (and quality). There could be an audience giveaway, only all the gifts would be cheap and useless because we’re all poor as shit. Each episode could feature a random person who has epilepsy who could tell their story or impart some wisdom to other epileptics. At the end of every episode each co-host would respond to mail sent in by viewers, or take a few seconds to share a thought. Here are some pros and cons as I see it: PROS: ⦁ Increase in sense of community ⦁ Epileptics have something they feel belongs exclusively to them ⦁ Co-hosts forge friendships that last days, possibly even weeks CONS: ⦁ Editing and production costs time and money ⦁ No one has the energy for this ⦁ Difficult to provide an enjoyable experience that is founded upon topic that brings nothing but despair and hardship ⦁ Stupid idea, just a really fucking stupid idea ⦁ Unfollow me you fools, for your own good

Chapter 21: Once Upon a September

London, at last. London, again, London, impossibly. London, rising out of the haze on the Thames estuary as the bargemen pole past Greenwich and mudlarks scamper on the exposed tidal flats, picking anything shiny from the weed and wrack and polishing it up to sell for a few coppers. The Palace of Placentia presides on the southern bank, though the royal standard is no longer flown from its towers; as the summer season ends and Elizabeth returns from her extravagant processionals, traveling around England and obliging her subjects to lodge and entertain her at great fuss and expense, the queen will take up winter residence in Whitehall. The thought makes Lucy remember how she and Flynn crashed in here on May Day before dawn, in the deserted deer parks of the meridian. She vividly remembers her first sight (and smell) of London, how utterly alien and overwhelming it was, a savaging, relentless assault that felt as if it could never be familiar or safe or sane. Now it’s almost a relief to see it again, something close to coming home. At least for now. The air is wet and chilly, and it is a fortnight until Michaelmas, the thirtieth of September. Six weeks left. If that.

Lucy’s hands tighten on the railing, and she tries to force down the anxiety at a constant low-level boil in her chest. They’re lucky that there wasn’t much trouble crossing the Channel, as this is the season for autumn storms, and when they landed at Gravesend, she took charge of the haggling and hiring of the bargemen. Not that they had much choice. The further they traveled from France, the more Flynn began to stir, to Lucy’s unutterable relief. But he’s still not very awake, and he hasn’t yet said anything. What if it’s Present Flynn, but with Past Flynn’s memories? Did her spell affect him too, since it was cast on his doppelganger while they were still close together? Does he remember her and what they were doing, or anything before the fire at Sept-Tours? Is there lingering physical or chronological damage from the encounter with his past self, and will he be all right when they return to the present? Or have things been changed to such a degree that Gabriel has inadvertently gotten his wish, and this version of Flynn technically never exists at all? If so, removing him from the shelter of this loophole, this bend in time that is – for now – isolating him from the effects of his own future, could be disastrous. Try to take him back to a place where he isn’t, and poof.

Lucy has mostly been worrying about this, though she is also wondering who could help her get the rest of Ashmole 782. The Knights of Lazarus sent to Prague to retrieve Agnes and Flynn’s household should – hopefully – have arrived here with them, and while Lucy is leery of renewing acquaintances with Lady Beaton, two witches alone are not enough to match with Rittenhouse. She can’t count on Flynn being recovered sufficiently to fight, and it feels like stretching her luck to an absurd degree if she risks him like that again. All the other vampires in the city are under the purview of Father Hubbard, who is as likely to help them as he is to take up competitive ballroom dancing. The School of Night is a possibility, but Walter Raleigh and the others don’t have actual powers. If they’re talking fellow creatures, that leaves only daemons. To be precise, it leaves two daemons, neither of whom are safe bedfellows or champing at the bit for further fruitful acquaintance. Guy Fawkes and Christopher bloody Marlowe.

Lucy has turned it over and over in her head, but she can’t come up with any other options. Fawkes’ particular skill set might actually be useful in this case, but the trick is how to make use of that while not burning Ashmole 782, the fate just narrowly avoided (and it’s rather arrogant of her to presume that Rittenhouse can be destroyed by anything so commonplace as fire). As for Marlowe, she can maybe leverage him with one more favor on Garcia’s behalf, insinuate that she knows the truth about Henry de Prestyn’s death and how bad it could look if that entire scandal tumbles out. But Lucy wants to avoid blackmailing Kit if she can. For one, she knows what he’s done to protect Flynn, the lengths he went to hush it up, and for another, he’s still what you would call a frenemy. Gabriel did confirm that Kit is a royal spy, and if the chips are down and exposure is inevitable, he could decide to fall on his sword and incriminate Lucy first. Between the two of them, card-playing and candied violets shared with the latter aside, Elizabeth will be far more inclined to believe the former.

I've also really had a liking to vocal work or dancing of the sorts! The issue is that I can't stand being on stages, or on the spotlight, so I've only taken vocal works and dancing of the sorts to a hobby.

I don't have one, actually!! As long as I can be stress-free and with ppl I love or friends, I'd be perfectly fine wherever I am!! In all honesty, Japan would be cool to visit for the merch and for the cuisines (I hope i spelled that right it’s 12 in the morning) and etc there! Also seeing some things in Japan, it would be nice! Ofc It'll probably never happen but dreams are always dreams!!

I always wanted to learn how to play a guitar, even my parents bought me an expensive guitar but I'm scared of breaking it with the price, so it's probably collected dust since then. If you also wanna consider it, I love to sing when I'm alone or doing work around the place! It's calming to take your mind off of something else and singing is one way to do it.

English and German! German isn't a main language, nor am I really well at it. I also do know a few Tagalog curse words or terms from my ex! It's not much, but it's something!

Even if I'm gonna sound like a pig here, I love almost all foods! I have certain comfort foods which are probably gonna sound stupid in the end, but yeah! There's so much you can't even choose!

I have a scar on my knee, which I'm actually afraid of because it's glued. I have no idea why I'm afraid of it though! Another could be that sometimes I've actually wished to be an A.I of sorts, again, I don't know why, I think it might just be a random thought that comes up when I'm stressed, but I'm not sure.

A Discovery of Witches reread

Last week I re-read A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness and it took me a long time to do it; I had to pause every few pages (sometimes paragraphs) because of the choices characters made I didn’t agree with. I will be doing my reactions about episodes as well (as soon as I re-watch them) and comparing the show to the first book.

My reactions, notes and everything under the cut. There are some trivia I forgot about, some minor changes book vs tv show, some stuff referencing the next books and what not.

the book takes place in 2009 in the span of 40 days

miriam and marcus have very different taste in music (The whole area seemed unoccupied, although from somewhere there came faint strains of a Bach cello concerto and something that sounded an awful lot like the latest hit recorded by the Eurovision song-contest winners);

marcus wears converse and he's BLOND (so are nathaniel and satu); 

the killings that occurred at the time (a.k.a jack’s doing) were the reason matthew thought that vampires are going extinct and are not able to sire anyone else;

Patience, alas, was not the strong suit of Bishop women - you can clearly see that in the books as well as in the show;

sarah and rebecca's mother's name is joanna  (which only matters to me because it’s my name too);

matthew came to oxford at 1989 (when he met hamish); 

matthew was 37 eyars old when we was re-born as a vampire and baldwin was in his late twenties or early thirties. marcus was in his late twenties and diana is 33.

marcus is into red-heads (but phoebe is not a red-head, which will be notet later by baldwin or matthew (i don’t remember which)) ;

"I asked if you were hungry.” Why he continued to do so was a mystery—when was I not hungry? #relatable, I’m Diana here;

“I love your hair,” he murmured. “It has every color imaginable—even strands of red and black.” which will be important later on when diana’s hair change

matthew knows how to knock the cork off with a sword (and now i feel robbed that we didn't see it)

both matthew and hamish won all souls prize fellowship

"What’s your name?” I asked, smothering a smile. “Timothy,” he answered, rocking back on his heels. He was wearing mismatched cowboy boots, one red and one black. He’s a sweetheart PLUS he is somewhat important in The Book of Life

ashmole 782 has been missing since 1859 but gerbert had it a thousand years ago and “it is a strange book, is it not, Diana? A thousand years ago I took it from a great wizard from Toledo. When I brought it to France, it was already bound by layers of enchantment."

diana's fingers were already colorful (mostly blue) especially when she was angry/stressed 

Somewhere in the center of my soul, a rusty chain began to unwind. It freed itself, link by link, from where it had rested unobserved, waiting for him. My hands, which had been balled up and pressed against his chest, unfurled with it. The chain continued to drop, to an unfathomable depth where there was nothing but darkness and Matthew. At last it snapped to its full length, anchoring me to a vampire. -  matthew could feel the chain if diana wanted him too. I think she weaved it subconsciously without realizing she’s using her weaver’s powers at the time

Matthew also knew his faults, anger chief among them. Typically, Matthew’s rage was so destructive that once the poison was out of his system, he disappeared for months or even years to come to terms with what he'd done - first reference to the blood rage 

matthew used to be friends with marquis de lafayette 

when marcus was dying and matthew told him about vampires, marcus thought he was tormented by a demon 

“Holy God,” Marcus said softly. Staring at the picture, he tried to imagine what it would be like to receive a photo of his own father ripped to pieces and tossed into the dirt to die. - a.k.a. WAIT TILL SHADOW OF NIGHT AND NOW I'M CRYING I JUST LOVE MATTHEW AND MARCUS’ RELATIONSHIP SO MUCH OKAY

Matthew wore his pilgrim’s badge only when he was afraid he was going to kill someone or when he was thinking of Eleanor St. Leger—or both. - i wish they kept it in the show too especially since it created the tree of life in bishop’s house

My aunt was good with spells. Emily wasn’t but could fly for short distances and see the future.

 Matthew’s books were arranged not by size but in a running time line. Those on the first bookshelf were so ancient that I couldn’t bear to think about what they contained—the lost works of Aristotle, perhaps? Anything was possible. - headcanon that he has books from a Library of Alexandria (maybe he got them from Philippe or Hugh or Godfrey?) 

“It was spring, you were bored, and so you got up one morning and went to Italy to make war. Your father had to beg forgiveness from the king on his knees”. now I NEED TO KNOW WHAT MATTHEW HAS DONE 

“Perhaps, but one thing hasn’t changed in all these years. Whenever there’s a crisis, there’s a de Clermont nearby.” - it should be their motto, really

diana has visions too - i know it's obvious but i completely forgot about it since the show didn’t include it at all except for episode 7 when everybody saw the past 

Matthew was unusually tall for the time, though not as tall as he became once he was a vampire - being reborn as a vampire not only makes you stronger but bigger and taller too.

His mother strode forward and slapped him, hard, across the face. “How dare you ask that question?” i need to see it, WHY DIDN’T YOU INCLUDE THIS, SHOW?

 marcus is "good at wheedling information out of people."

“And you are going to give me gray hairs—long thought impossible among vampires, by the way—with your courage, your firecracker hands, and the impossible things you say.” -  i just like it and i wonder if deb already knew that diana would do that for him in the book of life?

Baldwin had him by the throat before the words were out of his mouth. Their heads close together, one dark and one bright, they rocketed to the far end of the hall. Matthew’s body smashed into a wooden door, splintering it with the impact. - friendly reminder that Baldwin is a much better fighter than Matthew and the show SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF MAKING HIM WEAKER

Vampires didn’t usually get all of their names (5) when they were reborn but over the years.

One reason the de Clermont family was so long-lived was that each member had different skills in a crisis. Philippe had always been the leader of men, a charismatic figure who could convince vampires and humans and sometimes even daemons to fight for a common cause. Their brother Hugh had been the negotiator, bringing warring sides to the bargaining table and resolving even the fiercest of conflicts. Godfrey, the youngest of Philippe’s three sons, had been their conscience, teasing out the ethical implications of every decision. To Baldwin fell the battle strategies, his sharp mind quick to analyze every plan for flaws and weaknesses. Louisa had been useful as bait or as a spy, depending on the situation. Stephen Proctor could timewalk into the past OR into the future hence why we saw him in the 1x01 - he wasn’t just a hallucination, he probably timewalked into the future to make sure Ashmole 782 is safe

also, at the end of the book, right before they timewalked, Matthew noticed that there are some annotations in his “Doctor Faustus” copy he made that he didn’t remember putting them there. - is this a sign that 16th century Matthew somehow subconsciously remembered Diana or his fight with Kit or something? I wish that was explained too because that’s interesting.

this is so long I’M SORRY. Overall, I had very hard time re-reading this book especially when Matthew was so possessive and controlling. I wanted to punch him every time he said or did something. Show!Matthew is definitely more bearable and les creepy. Also, I love the familiar/platonic relationships between Marcus & Matthew, Marcus & Diana, Marcus & Miriam, Miriam & Diana, Sophie & Diana, Sarah & Marcus and more. Too bad the show didn’t care about those relationships too much. As for the romantic relationships, I wish I knew more about Miriam & Bertrand, Philippe & Ysabeau, Sophie & Nathaniel too.

Sands and Ruins P1

When I told Robaj that I was going to take a break and just explore the world between missions, what I meant was I was going to exotic places and watching the past. In the last... too long that I've been away. We stop using time as a way to tell how long time has past for us. Time is... relative for Timewalkers. it’s just a thing we let pass away form us. I don’t think of days of the week or minutes that have gone by. I just think of the time way as something vast and shifting like the sands around me.

There is a ruin just outside of Uldum that I’ve been walking around... This used to be a temple to some long forgotten god, only, it’s not going to be forgotten with someone like me. We Timewalkers don’t mention it, but we are the ones who will remember the stories you want to forget. History repeats itself and the only want to survive is to learn from it.

Touching the sandstone walls I pull myself backwards and to the side so I can watch the strange people of the past walk the halls I’m currently in. These, the ancestors of the current waste walkers. They’re dressed in covering robes to block them from the harsh sun. Many of them have baskets of fruit and spices that they’re going to take to their market just outside the temple. I’ve already been watching that market place, but there is a story in this time that I want to see.

Moving down the corridor I come to a richly decorated room, one where a woman was standing and looking out the window. It’s these perfect moments in history that I can confirm that epic moments do happen, we’re just caught up in our heads to never see them. The woman looking out over the temple and the people below has suffered greatly. I watched as she had been sold as a slave by her parents, then had her owner fall in love with her, in that moment she retook her control and rose an army to bring the fight back to her family. Now, this is the day after her victory. I can see the bandages on her arms and even though she’s standing by the window I notice she’s heavily favoring one foot.

I wonder what had her do this? Why did she risk everything for revenge? I’ve never been one for revenge, not long planned slow revenge. There’s just a level of energy you have to have for it, and I don’t think I ever had it. This woman though, she’s a fearless strong woman who didn’t let anyone stop her.

Coming up to her I really want to look at her. She’s beautiful. Her beauty is what won her the love of a man she later saw die fighting for her. Her beauty also made her valuable among her people. But that’s not the point, her beauty is a footnote to what she accomplished.

“How did you do it? Why did you do it?” I asked leaning on the railing and looked at her. “You could have walked the other way, why?”

There is such a fire in her eyes. One moment she’s looking down at the city and the next a voice behind us had both of us turning to look. The woman’s right hand man was bringing in an older man who was covered in chains. This man was her father, the man who sold his own child into slavery. The man looked as if he had lost a lot of weight rapidly and I knew it was because the warrior woman had starved the city before she broke the defenses. 

As I watched I started to see something. The woman was angry, so utterly angry. What her father had done, he had to pay for it. Why? Because she felt like she was worth having it be paid for. That’s a concept I’ve never gotten. If I don’t like something, I leave, I don’t make people change. Why haven’t I made people change? Well, obviously it’s harder to do that than just move on. 

The woman started to circle her father, this is the moment in all the stories where people say all the things they had felt in their life. All the torture, pain, trauma she had suffered finally boiled up and turned into venom in her mouth.

Have I ever wanted to change someone? I’ve laid out my case that not everyone in the Horde are evil... But that’s been complicated... Has it been complicated? I’ve been living with people who hated the Horde, they weren’t neutral like I once was and I know I’m easily swayed by those I care about.

I stop the scene in front of me and take a step back. My heart feels heavy as I think about the condition I had left Azeroth in. The Horde and Alliance were fighting, again, Undercity, my home away from home is gone, but do I still have pride for who I am? I don't know, I ran when the Alliance and Horde started to clash. I went behind that wall and was about to become an undead hating person.

I was about to lose me.

Monsters can be good, good people might be monsters. There is good in every race, you just have to find it.

Turning from the scene I feel the sands of time take me. I need to look somewhere, to see something that reminds me of who I used to be. There is a perk of being a Timewalker, I have all the time in the world to explore and figure out who I am, and find out if what I’ve lost is something I want.

70 #28, Alliance #17, Mage #2. I felt like doing some pet leveling today (it is pet battle week, after all) and decided doing it on my 68 mage was a good idea. By the time MoP+WoD were done, she was halfway to 70 and had 15m on the 30% exp buff from timewalking last week so I figured I'd just keep going.

She was the first fire mage I'd actually played since I think TBC-ish? So thank you to her for mostly teaching it to me so I could go in to the fire mage tower yesterday-ish and knock that out in about an hour (the biggest problem I had was that I took talents that I usually have on the same buttons I put fire abilities on so I kept fumbling the shit out of them lol)

She also was originally meant to just get me the cloth transmog from the pandaren starting zone (since greys+whites are moggable now but all my other cloth pandas have been deleted over the years) but I got attached :x

Last character leveled to 60 before the Cataclysm Timewalking week ended. Given that the character in question was DPS, I had to go fly around and farm materials just to occupy my time until the group finder does its thing.

I’m actually looking forward to the return of talent trees, tomorrow, which is funny to me because I didn’t care for them from before they were replaced with what is in the game, currently. Given how much unpruning has been done, it will neat to see just how much of what makes a return to each class and specialization.

Mage tower wow

Bladestorm feels kinda bad to use beyond a few ticks because it hits all targets and the damage is pitiful when hitting all the ice patches. The first phase isn't a race and for the comet storms I just slooowly worked my way out of them with Ignore Pain + Impending Victory spam, or a Warbreaker. Everything between is pretty easy until the last boss.įor Closing the Eye, Arms Warrior seemed perfectly fine. Wave 4 and 5 were really hard at first, until I learned what CDs to use where, then I did it 5 times in a row without fail. I only had 2 Infernals going into P2 which helped.įor End of the Risen Threat, I used Holy Paladin mostly because Restoration Shaman was the only other Healer I've played in SL and I heard it was buggy/really insane. The God-Queen's Fury: Retribution Paladinįor The Highlord's Return, I just used my main character, Vengeance DH might have an easier time due to avoiding knockbacks with Glide. I've just finished all 7 fights and got my Book! The list of fights I did is as follows: Trying to squeeze a few GCDs for more boss damage or AoE the adds means agonies are falling off and ID won’t be stacking quickly enough to live.įor me, Karam died at roughly 4 minutes and the fight ended at 10 minutes. Then, every 5-10 seconds, we have to channel drain life into the boss to heal enough to live through the next few casts. There isn’t a way to AoE spread agony, so once Raest berserks, we spend a ton of gcds to apply agony individually to the shadow adds we are kiting to build ID stacks. Our talent Inevitable Demise buffs our next drain life cast every time our agony hits, up to 50 stacks. Once he dies, Raest instantly Berserks and we have to desperately try to survive. The solution was to pop CDs and lust into Karam at the start of the 3rd chase to kill him before the mechanics became overwhelming. All while killing hands and trying to burn the bosses somehow. We put our pet on passive and micromanage its position to soak then to get in range of hand to interrupt then back to soak and so on. The rune soak mechanic can be soaked by our pet and often has to be because shadow adds can just be spawning right on top if it. The fight is easy up until Karam’s 3rd chase, when the hands and rune soak mechanics are both happening while trying to kite. The encounter ends when Raest dies if Karam dies first, Raest berserks and his casts 2-3 shot.įor Affliction, they doubled Raest’s health so it isn’t feasible to squeeze in enough damage to Raest to kill him before Karam needs to die, so Aff deals with berserk for a while. The fight is easy, then an aggressive burn, then a long endurance to the end.įor every other spec, the fight is kite Karam to 33% > burn for 30sec on Raest > kite Karam to 33% with Hands > burn again for 30sec on Raest > then kite while dealing with Hands and soaks and kill Raest before Karam hits you. There are seven encounters available, and your specialization will determine which challenge you'll face.Affliction (Twins) is pretty aggressively tuned.
