Update btw! My sense of taste still has not returned after 4 days, I can’t taste anything sweet, and sour and salty are close to nothing. I tried pouring pure salt, sugar and honey straight in my mouth, and I could only feel a slight tinge of salt in the back of my throat. Also, the texture of honey without any of the taste is lowkey terrible 2/10 would not recommend

#and of course! it’s four days of #federal holidays now before I can go see a doctor #and WHY would this happen just before Easter??? What about the delicious FOOD #My tongue still also feels burned too idk if that’s anything #at first I assumed it’d be another random ass allergy but uhhh I’m starting to doubt that #because never in my life has an allergic reaction lasted four days without any other symptoms #my brother who are the same rhubarb in the same way as me also has no symptoms whatsoever #so it’s probably not the rhubarb itself either #ughhhhh #it’s so fucking ironic like #last time I had covid‚ my taste changed to make everything taste abnormally sweet #and now I don’t have covid and suddenly I can’t taste anything sweet! or salty or umami or anything #can my body please make up its MIND
