The Essence of Coastal Luxury: Designer Interiors in Bondi
Bondi, one of Sydney’s most iconic beachside suburbs, is known for its vibrant lifestyle, stunning ocean views, and stylish residences. Designer interiors Bondi reflect this unique blend of coastal charm and urban sophistication, offering a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere that complements the area’s natural beauty. From open, breezy spaces to chic, modern finishes, Bondi interior designers create homes that are both visually striking and practical for coastal living.
Capturing Bondi’s Coastal Vibe
At the heart of Bondi’s interior design aesthetic is the connection to the beach and surrounding natural environment. Designers in Bondi often use color palettes inspired by the ocean, sand, and sky — soft blues, whites, and neutral tones dominate, creating a light and airy feel. This minimalist color scheme is often paired with natural materials like timber, stone, and rattan, which add warmth and texture to the space while enhancing its coastal appeal.
Large windows and glass doors are commonly incorporated into Bondi interiors to maximize natural light and blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. This creates a seamless flow that allows residents to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze and views, fostering a sense of openness and calm that mirrors the beachside lifestyle.
The Importance of Functionality
In Bondi, where space can be limited due to its high property demand, cdc duplex design prioritize functionality without sacrificing style. Multi-functional furniture, built-in storage solutions, and clever layouts are often used to optimize space in both small apartments and larger homes. This ensures that the home remains clutter-free and maximizes every square meter, which is especially important for compact living spaces close to the beach.
Open-plan living is another key feature of Bondi interiors, with kitchens, dining areas, and lounges blending into one cohesive space. This layout not only creates a sense of spaciousness but also fosters a casual, sociable atmosphere, ideal for entertaining guests or relaxing after a day at the beach.
Luxurious Details and Modern Finishes
While Bondi homes embrace the laid-back coastal vibe, they are also known for their luxurious touches. Designer interiors in Bondi often feature high-end materials such as marble countertops, sleek cabinetry, and polished concrete floors, adding a modern and sophisticated edge to the relaxed beach aesthetic. Lighting also plays a key role, with statement pendant lights, recessed lighting, and natural light sources carefully curated to enhance the ambiance of the space.
Designer interiors Bondi are all about striking the perfect balance between luxury and the easy-going coastal lifestyle. With a focus on natural materials, light-filled spaces, and smart, functional layouts, Bondi interior designers craft homes that are as stylish as they are livable. These homes capture the essence of Bondi’s unique charm, providing a sanctuary where residents can enjoy the best of both beachside relaxation and modern sophistication.

Transforming Your Kitchen: Exploring Modern Interior Design for Kitchen
Tumblr media
Interior design for Kitchen, Besides serving as a place for cooking, the kitchen interior design serves as a gathering place in our homes, setting the stage for cherished memories and daily interactions. With the rise of modern interior design trends, turning your kitchen into a stylish yet functional oasis has never been easier! We’ll explore some of the latest kitchen interior design ideas to elevate your culinary experience while adding sophistication to your living space.
Minimalism Meets Functionality for Interior Design for Kitchen
The minimalist style dominates contemporary kitchen design, emphasizing simplicity, clean lines, and Functionality. Streamlined cabinetry and open shelving create a clutter-free atmosphere that accentuates the beauty of natural materials. For instance, incorporating wooden elements in minimalistic settings can add warmth and character.
Monochromatic Color Schemes for Interior Design for Kitchen
Monochrome colour schemes often dominate kitchen interiors, which provide a timeless aesthetic that complements many styles. Grayscale tones and black-and-white palettes create sophisticated looks easily coordinated with existing decor. By pairing matte black hardware with crisp white cabinets or grey walls with polished chrome fixtures, you can add depth and texture to any space.
Natural Materials and Textures for Interior Design for Kitchen
A warm and inviting environment can be created by incorporating organic materials and textures. Surfaces made of wood, stone tiles, and rattan accessories add visual interest and tactile appeal to any kitchen setting. Bring the outdoors in with a wooden island or bar top, terracotta floor tiles, or woven pendant lights above your dining table.
Statement Lighting Fixtures Interior Design for Kitchen
Lighting profoundly affects the ambience of any room, and kitchens are no exception. A statement lighting fixture, like an oversized pendant or dramatic chandelier, creates a focal point that draws attention away from less appealing areas. Aside from under-cabinet LED strips and recessed ceiling lights, recessed ceiling lights enhance the style of workspaces.
Open Shelves and Display Cabinets. Interior Design for Kitchen
Interior design for Kitchens become more personal when homeowners display their favourite dishware, cookbooks, and décor items. A room with these features won’t appear sterile since these decorative elements will break up the large expanses of wall space. However, open storage solutions must be carefully curated to avoid clutter and disorganization.
Mixed Metal Finishes Interior Design for Kitchen
Brass, copper, nickel, and stainless steel metal finishes enrich kitchen interiors. Adding layers of metal to otherwise monotonous spaces creates depth and dimension. Make sure metallic hues are balanced to prevent the eye from being overwhelmed. Storage Solutions that Make Sense Most homeowners, especially those with limited square footage, are concerned about maximizing storage capacity. Organizing and navigating the kitchen is easier and more accessible when intelligent storage solutions, such as pull-out pantries and sliding corner units, are integrated into kitchen layouts.
Biophilia and Greenery Interior Design for Kitchen
Healthy, happier lifestyles are influenced by biophilic design, which integrates natural elements into indoor spaces. Create a green wall in your kitchen by mounting vertical gardens, placing potted plants on windowsills, or mounting vertical gardens. Any room can benefit from plants because they purify the air, reduce stress, and add a sense of life. Islands with multifunctionality There are multiple uses for kitchen islands, such as prep stations, breakfast bars, and seating areas. The islands can be customized to accommodate diverse needs and preferences, including sinks, stovetops, wine coolers, and charging ports. Design your kitchen island to suit your lifestyle needs if you want to make the most of it.
Artful Backsplashes Interior Design for Kitchen
A backsplash is not just a useful feature; it’s also an artistic expression that reflects your personality and taste. Kitchen backsplash designs range from geometric patterns to handcrafted mosaics. Let your imagination run wild as you choose a material and pattern that suits your style! With these modern interior design trends, you can create a stunning kitchen that serves practical and aesthetic needs. The dynamic landscape of contemporary kitchen design has something for everyone, from minimalist elegance to bold, vibrant statements. You are wishing you a successful renovation.

What are some suggestions for restaurant interiors for farm-to-table restaurants?
Title: Designing the Perfect Farm-to-Table Restaurant Interior: A Feast for the Senses
Introduction
Farm-to-table restaurants have been on the rise in recent years, reflecting a growing interest in locally sourced, sustainable, and organic dining experiences. These establishments prioritize fresh, seasonal ingredients and aim to create a connection between diners and the food they consume. However, a successful farm-to-table restaurant is not only about the menu; it's also about the ambiance and interior design that set the stage for a memorable dining experience. In this blog post, we will explore the key elements and considerations in designing the perfect interior for farm-to-table restaurants.
Tumblr media
Embrace Natural Materials
The essence of farm-to-table dining lies in its commitment to nature and sustainability. When designing the interior of your restaurant, opt for natural materials that reflect these principles. Wood, stone, reclaimed materials, and sustainable textiles should be at the forefront of your design palette. Wooden tables, chairs, and reclaimed barn wood walls can bring an authentic rustic charm to your restaurant.
Create an Open and Inviting Space
Farm-to-table restaurant interiors should aim to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. An open floor plan with plenty of natural light can help achieve this. Large windows, skylights, and even an outdoor seating area can connect diners with the surrounding environment and emphasize the freshness of the ingredients used in the menu.
Incorporate Greenery
To enhance the farm-to-table concept further, consider adding live plants and herbs throughout your restaurant. Potted herbs on tables or a living wall with edible plants can not only beautify the space but also reinforce the idea of freshness and the connection between diners and the source of their food.
Showcase Local Artisans
Supporting local artisans and craftsmen is in line with the farm-to-table ethos. Consider incorporating handmade pottery, ceramics, or artwork from local artists into your restaurant's interior. This not only adds a unique touch to your décor but also strengthens your ties to the local community.
Thoughtful Lighting
Lighting plays a crucial role in setting the mood of your farm-to-table restaurant. opt for soft, warm lighting that creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Pendant lights made from natural materials like woven rattan or hand-blown glass can be excellent choices. Dimmable lighting allows you to adjust the ambiance to match the time of day and the mood of your restaurant.
Farm-Inspired Décor
Incorporate farm-inspired elements into your décor to reinforce the connection to the source of your ingredients. Consider using vintage farm tools, framed black-and-white photographs of local farms, or even a chalkboard showcasing the daily specials and their origins.
Sustainable Furniture
Choose furniture that aligns with your sustainability values. Look for pieces made from reclaimed or upcycled materials, or consider investing in high-quality, long-lasting furniture to minimize waste. Additionally, opt for comfortable seating to ensure a pleasant dining experience for your guests.
Mindful Layout
Pay careful attention to the layout of your restaurant. Create a flow that allows diners to comfortably navigate the space, and ensure that the seating arrangement allows for both intimacy and communal dining, depending on your restaurant's style and size.
Conclusion
Designing the interior of a restaurant chain requires careful planning and consideration. It's an opportunity to express your brand's identity, create a memorable dining experience, and ensure consistency across multiple locations. By paying attention to key elements like brand identity, layout, lighting, furniture, color palette, décor, music, and sustainability, you can create an inviting and cohesive restaurant interior that keeps customers coming back for more. Remember, the interior of your restaurant is an integral part of your brand story, so make it count. One can achieve this by getting in touch with renowned design and build firms such as Flipspaces, which can help you with the same.

Incorporating Coastal Style and Natural Elements in Your Florida Home
Interior design can be tricky regardless of where you’re located. When you choose to live close to the shore in a place like Florida, you likely love the beach and all it has to offer. However, decorating your home with coastal elements can be challenging to achieve a beach theme without it looking tacky.
Among other interior designs, the coastal style is increasingly popular in Florida. Decorate your home to give off beach or coastal vibes in a tasteful way with these elements and design ideas.
What Is Coastal Style?
Coastal style is often confused with nautical style because when you think about the coast, you think about beach vibes which can lead to submarine-type thoughts. While a coastal look incorporates elements from the beach, it doesn’t necessarily portray a beach-themed design. A coastal interior design focuses on soft features, faded neutrals and natural materials.
Decorating with a coastal style typically involves a neutral color scheme inspired by the shore. Think about natural elements by the shore and use those colors as inspiration like light blues, greens and beige tones. Draw inspiration from walking along a shore of a rocky beach and taking in everything around you from the fresh, salty air to the beach beneath your feet.
A neutral color scheme is always a safe bet with coastal design, but you can add navy blue or sea green pops for a personal touch. Color combinations like pink and green and beige and turquoise provide a calm and tranquil vibe, which nails the overall goal of coastal style. Coastal design uses natural materials like wood, rattan and wicker for things like furniture and linen and cotton for natural materials.
Coastal Design Ideas
Decorating with coastal design doesn’t have to be a challenge. You can incorporate other popular interior designs in Florida into your coastal home. Interior designs like Modern Rustic Industrial, Minimalism, Scandinavian, Midcentury Modern, Contemporary, French Country, Boho Chic, Spanish Mediterranean and French Country are very in style right now.
Midcentury Modern design is increasingly popular in many states and features furnishings from the mid-20th century that can easily be incorporated into the coastal design style. A bamboo end table built from walnut wood is a perfect choice for a living room decorated in coastal design. Modern ceramic vases would make excellent additions to a table or mantle in a room decorated in a coastal style. Some other coastal style ideas to consider are lighting, flooring, textures and decor.
Accent Lighting
The coastal design aims for as much natural light as possible. A home built with interior design would typically offer large windows and framing landscapes to emphasize the natural light. Coastal lighting features clean and simple lines with nautical elements like you’d see in a lighthouse or submarine. Consider using lights with metallic or weathered finishes to add a nautical feel to your coastal design.
Accent lightings like wall sconces and candles give off natural light and can add to the coastal vibe of your home. Hanging lights or pendants over a kitchen island create an airy and natural flow to the room that opens up the space. Tiki torches, lanterns and adjustable spotlights are excellent for an outdoor space that wants to incorporate coastal design.
Flooring Options
If you’re renovating or building and you can choose the flooring materials, you’ll want to choose wisely. Florida homes, especially by the beach might require specific flooring. A high-traffic beach home will need something easy to clean and maintain, like ceramic tile. You can customize ceramic tile to fit your style, so it’s a versatile choice for any type of home design. Hardwood floors are also perfect for coastal design since they look stunning in every home.
High-traffic areas are no match for hardwood since they weather nicely and add a sophisticated look to any room. Installing hardwood floors should be the last thing on your renovation list so the wood can acclimate. The most important thing to note about hardwood flooring is that they can be easily affected by moisture. For this reason, the humidity level in your home should be below 50%. Vinyl is a perfect flooring option for a beach home since it’s waterproof and can withstand moist and humid conditions.
Adding Textures
Textures play a significant role in interior design regardless of the style you’re trying to achieve. For example, the right area rug can transform a space and emphasize your flooring, adding to the room's overall feel. The right textures can make or break a space. Consider soft linens to accent the windows and allow natural light into the room. Incorporate natural elements such as wood and sand into your decor to create a warm and inviting feel.
You want to try to recreate the feeling of your toes touching the sand when you arrive at the beach. Surround yourself with wood, rattan and jute textures to achieve that rustic feel with sophisticated and tasteful accents. Mix and match these textures to create vacation vibes that pull everything together. Coastal grandma style is a trend that incorporates Minimalism into its design by avoiding seashells and lending an airy, effortlessly chic feel. Use chunky knit accents, whitewashed driftwood, and brushed nickel hardware to achieve this look.
 Wall Coverings and Decor
You’ll want to avoid a nautical design for your walls by avoiding stripes, anchors and seashells. Coastal design is about simple, clean lines that bring the outside into the home. Find pieces of art that involve water, clouds and other aspects of the coastline for a warm inviting beach feel without the outdated decor. Incorporate natural elements into your wall decor with wooden frames and wicker baskets hanging on the walls as decor. You can also elevate your space by covering your walls in natural elements like grasscloth wallpaper.
Find art pieces like photos of plants or other natural elements that resonate with your space. Add a rustic mirror or weathered wooden picture frames with family photos in them. Old window panes make excellent wall decor stacked or placed on a mantle. Natural wooden shelves with vases filled with plants or flowers can elevate your wall decor. Painting an accent wall to add a pop of color can also personalize walls within a space.
Coastal Interior Design Style
Coastal homes are fun to decorate, but your home doesn’t have to be coastal to include a coastal design style. You can incorporate natural elements into any design style, like bamboo furniture, cotton accents and wicker baskets. Find your personal style and incorporate elements that resonate with you to achieve the perfect aesthetic for your Florida home.

Enchanting Large Bamboo Light Shade for Captivating Illumination
Large Bamboo Light Shade
If you're looking for a large bamboo light shade to create captivating illumination, there are several options available. Bamboo light shades can add a natural and rustic touch to your space while diffusing light in an enchanting way.
Tumblr media
Here's a general idea of how you can achieve this:
Size and Shape: Look for a light shade that is specifically designed to be large in size. This will ensure that it provides ample coverage and makes a visual impact in your space. Consider the dimensions of the room and the desired lighting effect when selecting the size and shape of the shade.
Bamboo Material: Opt for a light shade made from high-quality bamboo material. Bamboo is durable, sustainable, and has a unique texture that creates interesting light patterns when illuminated. Make sure the bamboo is treated to prevent any damage from heat or moisture.
Design and Pattern: Look for a bamboo light shade with an intricate or captivating design. Some shades feature woven patterns or artistic cutouts that cast captivating shadows when the light shines through. Consider the style of your space and choose a design that complements your overall decor.
Lighting Compatibility: Ensure that the light shade is compatible with the type of lighting fixture you have or plan to use. It should have a suitable opening or attachment mechanism that allows it to be easily connected to the light source. If necessary, consult a professional to assist with the installation process.
Placement and Environment: Consider where you plan to place the bamboo light shade. Whether it's a ceiling pendant, floor lamp, or table lamp, make sure the shade fits well and complements the surrounding elements. Additionally, ensure that the shade is suitable for the environment in terms of safety and maintenance.
Personalization and Customization: If you have specific preferences or want a unique design, consider exploring custom options. Some artisans or lighting specialists may offer customization services to create a bamboo light shade that perfectly matches your vision.
Remember to prioritize safety when working with lighting fixtures. If you're unsure about installation or have any doubts, it's always best to consult a professional electrician or lighting expert.
A few other lampshade suggestions
Palm Leaf Lampshade
A palm leaf lampshade is an excellent choice for adding a tropical and natural touch to your space.
Palm leaf lampshades often feature a woven or layered design that allows light to pass through the gaps between the leaves. This creates beautiful patterns and interesting shadows when the lamp is turned on. Some lampshades may have a more structured shape, while others are more freeform and organic in their design.
Rattan Pendant Lamp
A rattan pendant lamp is a stylish and versatile lighting option that can add warmth and texture to your space.
Rattan pendant lamps are versatile and can be used in various settings. They can be hung above a dining table, in a living room, bedroom, or even in an outdoor space. Consider the height at which you hang the lamp to create the desired ambiance and functionality.

Growing up, Virginia Morris’ family owned a holiday house in Anglesea (on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road) filled with beautiful memories and experiences she hoped to share with her own children, Kai (now 17) and Jude (15). She kept an eye on the town’s real estate for years, until a house just 100 steps from Point Roadknight beach became available.
‘It’s hard to describe, but there is an instant relaxing vibe that washes over you as soon as you walk in the front door… I felt it when I went to the first inspection when the house was on the market; I was sold the minute I walked in (although I put my best poker face on for the agent!),’ says Virginia. ‘I did everything I could to make it happen.’
Virginia loved the original 1980’s house, including its great natural air flow, north-facing windows. and exposed timber ceilings – all of which she planned on retaining.
‘The house was built by a builder local to the area… and still feels modern in its design 37 years on,’ Virginia says. ‘People are often shocked when they find out when it was built.’
At the same time, after years of being used as occasional holiday accommodation, the house had lost some of its homely feel. Several rooms had also been added over the time, leaving the property with a massive six bedrooms!
Renovations were undertaken over several years, in collaboration with local trades. The addition of a plunge pool/spa was the first priority; followed by a new kitchen with concrete bench tops; then the removal of a bar to open up the living area.
‘It felt nice to turn it back into a permanent family home,’ says Virginia.
Years later, the family converted an unused rumpus room, laundry, bathroom into a self-contained bungalow. This section features its own private entrance and courtyard, and is available for short term rent under the nickname 100 Steps to the Beach Bungalow. The family also rent the main house out on occasion, which sleeps 10 guests.
Styling wise, Virginia has played with colour to facilitate a ‘fun, relaxed beach vibe’ throughout the interiors. Indoor plants feature in almost every room, and are a welcome dose of greenery in contrast to the home’s dark exterior.
Add to this the sound of the waves as you drift off to sleep, and you have one very enviable home!

primary research
Our crystal ball of interior design says 2020 is going to be all about these trends.
As we close out a decade marked by interior design trends ranging from midcentury to Memphis-inspired, we’ve got our eyes set on what 2020 has in store. Curves are having a moment—whether we’re talking about patterns made with free-form shapes, furniture, or doorways—and natural materials (like wood, textiles, and cane)are showing up all over the home in modern ways. Read on to see our predictions for the year ahead, and tell us what you’re loving (or loathing) in the comments.
  1. Built-In Seating
Tumblr media
Be it a window-side perch with a great view or cozy reading niche, seating that’s built in adds character to a room and can be an excellent space-saving technique. Fun architectural details like this are going to have a big moment in2020.
Tumblr media
This cozy perch is begging you to sit down with a good book.
  2. Arches
Tumblr media
Arched entryways bring to mind the cave homes in Oia, Greece.
Another architectural detail that’s burgeoning is the arch—specifically curved doorways and windows that channel Greece’s cave houses. The pared-down treatment is smooth and clean-lined without ornate detailing. Not ready to commit to structural changes at home? Give the trend a try with an arched wall mirror.
Tumblr media
This stairway gets a very on-trend arch treatment.
  3. Fat Furniture
Tumblr media
An undulating, ivory sofa gets prime placement right in the middle of Lisa Perry’s living room.
Curvy shapes are also taking form as furniture. Upholstered pieces like sofas, divans, and occasional chairs are being reimagined in undulating, and sometimes asymmetrical, designs that feel inspired by decor from the ’70s. In 2020, rounded is the new right angle.
Tumblr media
The curvy shape of this pink sofa gives it a fun, playful quality.
   4. Organic Shapes
Tumblr media
This artful bedding exemplifies the free-form shapes motif that’s popping up on everything from bathmats to wallpaper.
While free-form designs have been gaining in momentum, we predict that this is the year the motif hits a fever pitch. Organic shapes are showing up on everything from bath mats to candles. We’re especially loving Cold Picnic’s just-released collection of hand-tufted rugs titled "Two Hour Drive," which feel more like abstract works of art than floor coverings.
Tumblr media
Brooklyn-based homewares brand Cold Picnic uses free-form shapes on rugs, blankets, and bathmats.
   6. Modern Wood Paneling
Tumblr media
Thin, slatted wood paneling adds warmth to this bathroom.
While wood paneling doesn’t immediately bring to mind a modern home, it seems that sentiment is about to change. Done in a skinny, slatted style or applied at interesting angles, wood walls can actually feel fresh and unfussy. And, no room is off limits—especially bathrooms and kitchens, where wood paneling brings a warmth that’s unexpected and often lacking.
Tumblr media
An angled application gives this wood paneling a modern feel.
   7. Fiber Art
Tumblr media
A macramé wall hanging serves as large-scale, textural artwork in this sitting room.
For several years now, fiber artists have been showing their work at fine-art galleries and fairs, but 2020 is the year you’re going to see this type of art—intricately woven tapestries, elaborately knotted macramé pieces—make its way into the home. Artists like Cindy Hsu Zell, Windy Chien, and Meghan Shimek create both large-scale commissions as well as smaller, ready-to-buy pieces that work well on their own or as part of a gallery wall.
Tumblr media
Fiber art brings an element of softness to this dining area.
  8. Statement Tiles
Tumblr media
Floor-to-ceiling tiles give this courtyard a major "wow" factor.
After the proliferation of white subway tile during the last decade, it’s only natural that the pendulum would swing the other way. Enter statement tile. We’re seeing bold, patterned tile being used in both small (just a backsplash) and big (floor-to-ceiling bathrooms) ways.
Tumblr media
This backsplash may only cover a small surface area, but its asymmetric tiles are the kitchen’s pièce de résistance.
     9. Indoor Gardens
Tumblr media
If you have an underutilized space in your home (like underneath a staircase), consider turning it into an indoor garden.
Considering the popularity of indoor plants and living walls in recent years, it comes as no surprise that green thumbs would want to take their plant habit to the next level with an indoor garden. These small-scale plots bring the outdoors in and give residents a chance to commune with nature from the comfort of their own home.
Tumblr media
Homes with abundant natural light are optimal for an indoor garden.
  10. Cane Detailing
Tumblr media
Cane-front cabinets help add to this kitchen’s airy feel.
Natural, woven materials in the form of rattan furniture, seagrass pendant lights, and jute rugs have taken the interior design world by storm, but all trends have an evolution. This one’s second act is all about cane detailing, which you’ll be seeing used on modern furniture like CB2’s Nadia chair and Target’s Minsmere console.
Tumblr media
These dining chairs are a modern take on cane detailing.

Beautiful Homes of Instagram: Fall Decor
Beautiful Homes of Instagram is one of my favorite series here on HomeBunch and it feels even more special when these homes are decorated for a special time of the year, such as Fall.
Ashley from @modernglamhome, beautifully decorated many spaces of her gorgeous home and she’s sharing all of the details with us today. Keep reading to learn a few decorating tricks by this talented homeowner:
“Hi! I am Ashley, the voice behind Modern Glam a lifestyle blog where I share my love of home decor, fun DIY projects and healthy recipes. My husband and I have been renovating our California bungalow since we moved in 9 years ago. My husband, Nick is a general contractor and I own a women’s clothing store, Flaunt Boutique. We live in the San Francisco bay area with our 2 young kids.
When Luciane asked me to contribute to her inspiring series, Beautiful Home of Instagram, my jaw hit the floor. I’m just your average suburban mom who also loves to create a beautiful home. I love the home decor community on Instagram and I get so much inspiration and many of my design ideas from there.
So, let me show you around my cozy California bungalow home that we purchased 9 years ago. When we first bought our home, it was a blank slate. The previous owner didn’t do any improvements so the house needed some serious TLC, which is perfect for me!”
Beautiful Homes of Instagram: Fall Decor
There are lots of things that we love about our home, but one of the first things that drew me to this one when we were looking was the front porch.
Fall Decor
Fall decor makes this front porch feel even more magical! I am loving the string lights and the faux candles. What a nice touch!
Outdoor Sconce: Rejuvenation.
Beautiful Lantern Pendants: here, here & here.
Hello, Pumpkin!
I like to use as many natural elements in my fall porch decor as possible. Lots of pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales and mums were all that I needed to create this fun and festive neutral fall front porch!
Doormats: Wreath Doormat & Black and White Runner.
Siding Paint Color
The exterior paint color is “Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter”.
Hang Chairs
Our hanging chairs are one of our favorite spots to sit and watch the kids play and visit with our neighbors.
Fall Pillows: here, here, here & here.
Round Outdoor Rug: Target – similar here, here & here.
Hanging Chairs: Serena & Lily.
Summer Vibes
This is how Ashley decorates this space for summer: “I added a small table out here for setting drinks on and used an affordable circle rug to ground the space. New pillows and cute beach towels bring this space to life.”
Pillows: Serena & Lily.
Knit Pillows: Target.
Beach Towels: Serena & Lily.
Front Door
Our front door is by Pella and is painted Clark and Kensington’s Mountainside Vista. Although, I admit, I love to change the color of my front door. This is the 3rd color it’s been in 3 years and I’m already contemplating another change!
Meet the Homeowner!
This is the beautiful and talented, Ashley from @modernglamhome. I am sure you guys will love her home as much I do!
Tumblr media
Living Room
My personal design rule is to buy all my furniture in neutral shades. Having a neutral foundation makes it’s easy to switch out the accessories for each season.
Pair of Stools: Serena & Lily.
Rattan Chair: Serena & Lily.
  Fireplace
Fireplace tile is Calcutta gold fish scale tile.
Tile: here & here – similar.
Mirror: Anthropologie.

I am loving seeing Ashley’s puppies around the house… They’re adorable!
Tumblr media

Hats
A quick and easy update I made for summer was creating this hat wall. I pulled all the sunhats out of my closet and hung them on the wall!
Beautiful Blankets: here, here, here, here, here, here & here.
Draperies: here – similar.
Hardware: here – similar.
Paint Color
All of our walls are painted Benjamin Moore’s Cotton Balls. I love the soft white color that has a touch of cream in it. We also painted our ceilings and trim the same color but in different sheens. This makes the room seem larger when all the colors are the same.
My walls are a satin finish, where the trim is semi gloss and the ceiling is flat. This creates a cohesive look that expands the room and makes it seem bigger!
Sofa Sectional: Pottery Barn Big Sur Sectional.
Coffee Table: Serena & Lily.
Chairs: Serena & Lily.

Dining Room
My style is pretty eclectic. I love to mix different styles and use new, modern and antique pieces in the same space. My dining room is a perfect example of that. We have a rustic farmhouse table made of reclaimed oak with an ornate trestle base. I paired this traditional piece with modern lucite chairs. I love the mix of old and new!
Dining Table: here, here, here & here – similar.
Lighting
Chandelier: Visual Comfort Darlana Linear Chandelier – similar here.
Fall-Inspired
To stick with the modern farmhouse fall table theme, I added some casual yet neutral plaid napkins and a white pumpkin to each place setting.
Dining Chairs: here – similar.
Fall Tablescape
Fall Tablescape: “A mix of bay leaves, olive branches and rosemary stems were all I needed to create this fall centerpiece. Add in a few neutral white pumpkins, some candles and it’s the easiest centerpiece to create!”
Plates: Target.
Mugs: here & here – similar.
Kitchen
One of the first rooms we tackled when we first moved in was our kitchen. We originally painted the cabinets and installed new Calcutta Gold marble countertops. This spring, we underwent another remodel and replaced all the cabinetry, added open shelving and integrated appliances. The new design is more efficient and I love the warmth that the open shelves bring to this space!
Counterstools: McGee & Co. – Others: here, here, here, here & here.

Our kitchen cabinets are maple with Benjamin Moore’s Simply White paint.

Basket: World Market – Other Beautiful Baskets: here & here.
Dressing Room
Another favorite room in our home is our walk-in closet. It’s honestly what sold me on our house. We updated the space 5 years ago with built in cabinets, leopard carpeting and beautiful finishes. It’s a true reflection of my personal style.
Our leopard carpet is from a local carpet store.
Hardware: LuxHoldups.
Lighting
I painted the ceiling and walls Calamine by Farrow and Ball. It was the perfect jumping off point for the rest of the room.
Lighting: Arteriors Osgood Pendant.
Master Bathroom
Our master bathroom is done in classic carrera marble. This room took almost a year to complete! That’s the life of living with a contractor for your husband.
The baskets under the sink hide everyday items such a hairbrushes, my hairdryer and curling iron, and extra towels. All of my makeup and toiletries are stored in the nearby linen closet. Because we only have 2 sets of towels and sheets, there is ample room for all the normal bathroom toiletries and beauty products!
Bathroom apothecary console is from Pottery Barn.
Bathroom Faucets: Pottery Barn.
Mirrors: Pottery Barn.
Sconces: Pottery Barn.
Shower Tiles: Carrara Marble.
Spa-like
One of my favorite parts of our bathroom is the large soaking tub. It is the prettiest focal point and serves as a true sanctuary after a long day.
Lighting: Visual Comfort – one of my favorite chandeliers!
Faux Fiddle Lead Tree: World Market – similar here.
Tub: Kingston Brass.
Rug: Kismet Rug – similar here.
Backyard
Since we live in the bay area, California, where the housing prices are insane and lot sizes are minuscule, creating an outdoor living area as an extension of our indoors allows us to expand our living space. And with California weather, we can use these areas 9 months out of the year.
Pillows: Serena & Lily.
Ottoman Coffee Table: Serena & Lily.
Chairs
Rattan Egg Chair: Target’s Opalhouse.
Accent Chairs: Target’s Opalhouse Brittana – also in Loveseat.
Beautiful Outdoor Umbrellas: here & here.
Outdoor Sofa
A long sofa meant for the outdoors is soft and neutral. This allows me to change the colors year to year. I offset the sofa with two oversized chairs and added a small outdoor coffee table in the middle. This allows us to set food or drinks on it.
The sofa we have had for a few years now. It was a great find from the Restoration Hardware outlet. I love that the cushions are a soft gray that make them completely versatile to new color schemes!
Beautiful Outdoor Sofas: here, here, here & here.
Rug: Target.
Gather
Our backyard isn’t big, but we love to spend time out here and gather with friends and family.
Merlot & S’mores
We also recently updated our side yard and have a great space for making s’mores and enjoying a glass of wine or two.

Tips to Choose a Dining Table For Your Home or Outdoor
Tumblr media
Dining rooms or kitchen cum dining spaces are more than just the room where you eat your food. It is a part of your home where the whole family comes together during meals, friends and families meet over dinner, have light-hearted gossips and important discussions. Dining table and chairs are the focal points of a dining room. They are the most significant part of the decor adding both elegance and functionality to the room. You can enjoy your meals on it, solve the morning crossword puzzles, help your children with homework or occasionally use it as a temporary workstation. Dining tables are also quite important as outdoor furniture if you like to host outdoor parties or brunches.
A beautiful and sturdy dining table can be the most prized furniture in the house. Choosing the right table that will last longer and also will be in fashion for decades can be challenging. However, you should look for some features when buying a dining table to ensure it is worth the money you pay.
Be it from the furniture store in the neighbourhood or a trusted online store like Aprodz, you can follow the tips given here to get the right dining table sets for your homes.
Material
There are a lot of materials to choose from for your dining sets. Wood can be the sturdiest and most long-lasting among all. They can blend in with both traditional and modern decor. There are also various styles available - from rustic to vintage and sleek designs that can fit great into chic urban homes. A solid wood dining table can last for years and never go out of style. The Epso 6 Seater Dining Set by Aprodz is a Sheesham dining table set with matching chairs can be the centre of attraction of your dining space. Wooden furniture can be maintained easily and they can look stylish even when ageing or wearing out. In fact, weathered wood has a very special rustic charm that can look excellent as outdoor dining furniture.
Other materials like glass tables can look stylish for smaller rooms, but require careful maintenance as they can easily get scratches. Marble and concrete tables are also popular choices that can be long-lasting as well. You can find many stylish designs and textures in materials like glass, marble and concrete. Rattan or metal dining tables can be used as outdoor furniture.
Size
The size of a dining table and chair ensemble should be based on the size of the room and the functionality. You should ascertain the size of the room before buying a set. Also, the size should depend on the number of members in the family or if you want to entertain guests very often. The Avavia 6 seater dining table by Aprodz is a Sheesham dining table with 6 chairs that can suit a large to medium sized dining room.
When deciding the size of the dining table set, you should ensure that there is enough space for the guests to be comfortable when sitting. People should be able to push back the chairs to sit or move around the table when needed. Usually, the table should be 90 cm from the wall or any furniture and the Sheesham dining chairs should be placed 20 cm or 30 cm away from the table. If you are buying an ensemble of Sheesham dining table and chairs, you will find the perfect size and matching chairs to suit the size. However, if you have chairs already and only looking for a suitable table, you should measure the height of the chairs before buying. You should also measure the height of the table if you plan to include stylish illumination ideas like chandeliers or pendant lights over the dining area.
Shape
There are various shapes available for a dining table tops, like round, oval, square and rectangular. Much like the table size, the shape will also depend on the location where it will be placed. While rectangular tables can suit most rooms or outdoors, circular tops can be good for small spaces. A circular or square Sheesham dining table with 4 chairs can be a good buy for a small family of two or three people. But for a large family or a spacious dining room, oval or rectangular tables are the best choices. A rectangular Sheesham dining table with 8 chairs can be great for a large dining room or a hall or for outdoor parties.
Style
The style of your dining table and chairs will depend on your taste and choice of materials. You may choose a traditional base or sleek table legs made of metal or glass. Tables with marble tops or concrete slabs can be styled with suitable chairs with upholstery. You may opt for a natural wood finish or a high polish for the seats and the table. There are also several options for colors. From popular blacks, whites or beings to conventional wooden finish or bright paints, the color of your table should match the rest of the furniture in the house. You can also style them yourself by mixing and matching chairs or adding a bench for additional seating. For outdoor tables, long benches and stools can be added when there are guests in the house.
To buy a beautiful dining table for your house, follow the tips from this article and choose the best from an exclusive collection of wooden dining tables and chairs at Aprodz. It is one of the popular online stores in India offering both readymade and customised furniture for your home. You can check out the collections at

Before moving to this house in Flemington, Leah Holt and Oliver Whiteley were living in a one-bedroom warehouse in Melbourne’s CBD.
‘It was a great place, but it didn’t have an outdoor space, and since we were both working from home due to Covid (and newly living together, eeek!), it felt a little claustrophobic,’ says Leah.
In search of a larger home and outdoor space, they ended up in Flemington in mid 2020, where Leah found her dream home complete with high ceilings, beautiful ornate details, and most importantly, a backyard. ‘I just kept walking around saying “I LOVE IT” repeatedly,’ recalls Leah of the inspection.
The home was newly renovated, so all that was needed was Leah’s styling to bring it to life. As the operations and projects manager at Curated Spaces, and owner of vintage furniture studio LH Design Hub, she luckily had access to some amazing pieces – the only challenge was choosing the right ones!
‘I think I am on my 12th set of dining chairs!,’ says Leah. ‘Oliver knows not to get attached to anything, as it will probably be gone in a few weeks.’
Interestingly, this career path is an entirely new direction for Leah, who was working in the higher education sector up to 18 months ago. ‘Creating  LH Design Hub and having the opportunity to sell exclusively via Curated Spaces has been the best decision I have ever made,’ she says.
One element of Leah and Oliver’s decoration that isn’t going anywhere is their growing art collection, including works by Angie Pai and Alexandria Park. They’ve also switched out the rental’s lighting pendants for Shades Launay, and worked hard to transform the backyard.
‘Even though we are renting, I still thought it was important to buy and source pieces that tell a story, and I hope that is evident throughout the house.’
Our backyard has been a real passion project for Oliver… we have our own veggie patch now, and have planted a whole bunch of ferns, hanging baskets and flowers to make it feel romantic and relaxing,’ says Leah.
From the bedroom, to the living room, and the outdoor area, this home now feels like a true reflection of Leah and Oliver. Leah hopes it looks the way it makes them feel – warm, cosy and safe.
‘As soon as we walk through the door, we feel at home and completely comfortable and relaxed,’ she says. ‘We have signed on for another year’s lease and we couldn’t be happier.’

Neutral Home Interior Ideas
Beautifully designed by two very talented interior designers, Mitzi Maynard and Clare Kennedy, this neutral home has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms (6 including pool house), and a total of 6,500 square feet.
The homeowners began building this neutral home in the fall of 2015, and it was completed in the Spring of 2017. This home combines a few different architectural styles. The exterior is a fresh take on a traditional home, which works well in their established neighborhood in Nashville. The interior of the home has a more Modern/Mediterranean style with a neutral color scheme that is easy on the eyes and soothing to the soul.

Quintessential Vacation Home On The Coast Of France
http://cdn.home-designing.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/luxury-house-with-pool-600x801.jpg
Casa Santa Teresa is a quintessential vacation home by the blue Mediterranean Sea, which rolls and froths just a few meters away along the coast of Ajaccio in France. The echo of the 1950s house that once stood here is reimagined by Amelia Tavella Architectes as a modern 400 square metre bright white building. Proximity to nature, the beach, rocks, and the sea called for a seamless interaction between interior and exterior spaces. “I wanted beauty to flow, to be an invitation to the horizon, to the imagination” recalls the architect. Large pivoting doors were installed to let the views wash in, and lack of partitions let beauty flow without boundary.
The modern home is extracted from the city, moving away from the noise and chaos in favour of silence and natures beauty: “When I build, I don’t defeat. There is no betrayal. I proceed by inclusion. Nature invades my projects. She is neither an obstacle nor a hindrance, she is my host whom I celebrate. I adapt to the trees, to the light, to the relief. It’s my way of balancing a modern gesture, architecture, with the tradition of a cliff, a ravine. There is something ancestral with nature. I am moved by it, often.”
Interior and exterior spaces at the vacation home are balanced to promote a healthy and joyous flow of life. Rattan canopies and shutters sieve the strong sunlight to create areas of shaded comfort.
The home’s architecture is a stepped design so that large balconies on each level can stretch out in the sun’s rays, offering full connection with nature as the homeowners gaze out at the clear dancing ocean.
The outdoor pool is given most pride of place, right at the front of the site by the beach. One could imagine swimming in the ocean whilst still held within the comfort of home. If the majestic sea does call though, stone steps create a pathway down from the pool terrace, landing straight onto the sandy beach.
Rustic furniture surrounds the concrete sided swimming pool. Tropical plants flourish along the borders.
Outdoor chairs and tables make up al fresco eating areas down on the pool patio and up on the first floor balcony.
A bamboo shelter shades the outdoor dining table on the ground floor veranda, providing relief from the midday sun.
The shelter also serves an outdoor bar area.
Palm trees loll around the edges.
Stone pathways lead between outdoor living areas.
Plants and flowers reflect in the cool waters of the swimming pool.
Amelia Tavella explains “I have so much passion for creating, inventing from an already written history.”
“Each time, it’s a gamble: inscribe the building in the original space without shocking anything, moving or mistreating it. It’s an extension, not an amputation.”
The holiday home is embraced by warm skies. Breakfast on the first floor balcony looks like the perfect way to start the day.
Pivoting doors bring the outside world rushing into the first floor living room.
A neutral sofa and wooden lounge chairs keep the living room colour palette peaceful and easy, and complimentary to the wood framed doors that bring wow factor to the room.
Simple furniture and decor allows the breathtaking views of nature’s own beauty to be the ultimate focal point.
A rattan table lamp emits a welcoming glow even when nights are too warm to light a fire on the raised hearth.
The balcony area and the indoor living space work as one connected volume, with footfall moving easily through the wide open doorways.
Vivid sunsets burn an entrancing evening spectacle. “It is the quintessential vacation home, the one that haunts my memory of happy childhood evenings, when the night embraces the day and beauty is a celebration” says Amelia Tavella.
The unique table lamp provides a soft light akin to candlelight in the lounge, whilst pendants burn brighter in the dining nook behind it.
By day, crisp white walls carry natural daylight deep into the room.
Great archways mark room transitions without setting solid boundaries. Secretive alcoves lead the way to the upper rooms.
Cheerfully bright scatter cushions bring life to the dining room, and match with the colourful dining room pendant lights.
The banquette seat is composed of a white concrete L-shaped volume that extends directly out of the walls.
A dedicated home workspace is wedged inside of another archway.
Integrated shelving towers up the wall by the desk and wooden chair.
Wooden sun loungers stretch out on the upstairs balcony, outside of the master bedroom.
Concrete shelves are decorated with Mediterranean art and trinkets.
A sheer canopy drapes the bed.
A wicker chair rests just inside the balcony doors, tucked neatly by the pivoting frame.
Vistas of greenery peep in.
Striped shutters filter intense sunlight.
Steps connect the balcony with the pool patio below.
Rope railings zigzag the sea view.
Ground floor plan, complete with garden borders, swimming pool, extensive patio and outdoor bar area.
First floor plan, with matching outdoor and indoor dining banquettes. We can see from the plan that the interior dining banquette actually forms the concrete hearth for the living room fireplace.
Second floor plan, illustrating the master bedroom with a very generously sized ensuite bathroom and attached private balcony.
Third floor plan, showing a suite in the eaves.
