NEW FLOORS
#ive been working towards this goal for like 2 years lol#because its almost the ENTIRE house except the living room#so so much stuff had to be cleaned up and gone through#it stressed me out SO bad all the time#couldnt even relax because i was just like ‘i could be cleaning right now :/‘#the carpet had fucking MOLD in it#and i had to do 90% of the work myself with no help except moving large pieces of furniture#i was so MAD about the fact no one wanted to help!!!#but im much calmer now#the house doesnt STINK anymore

cleaned for almost 5 full hours today (4 hours 40 minutes, i was doing ten-minute intervals w a phone timer). full list of minutiae would take too long but it involved dishes, taking out trash, decluttering the entire apartment floor, vacuuming the entire apartment, reorganizing stuff in the hallway, multiple loads of laundry done folded n put away, and deep cleaning the bathtub. i was literally fucking Drenched And Dripping in sweat by the time i finished, like i'd just stepped out of a downpour outside. ate some food, got a shower, did a weed, and now i've crawled into bed to snz.
in conclusion. my body is gonna be So Fucked Up tomorrow.
#worth it though.#you may be wondering: kitkat does this mean your apartment is pretty and clean now#to which i would say. you are underestimating the baseline Disaster Zone we are working with.#prior to all of this the soles of ur feet would turn black walking on the carpet for more than a few minutes. this does not happen now.#large swaths of the place ARE now clean and beautiful but in such a way that suddenly the Mess is SO MUCH MORE NOTICEABLE#if theres clutter and crumbs everywhere it's all homogenous. if the living room is bright and open and has no objects out of place and then#you look to the side of the room and see HEAPING PILES OF CHAOTIC BOXES GARBAGE BAGS AND RANDOM LOOSE OBJECTS#well.#it's okay tho. all those spots can be their own little mini projects now that im caught up on the worst of it#autoimmune tag#due to that being how things got so bad

Request to move into basement failed. Sad.
#I just wanna have some more space and maybe host people and save money and acclimate to apartment living#and moving into the basement would do that#Not only is it big enough it's also fully finished. Carpeted and everything#Unfortunately my dad sleeps in there and doesn't want to be demoted to bedroom 2#“I already got kicked out of the master!”#Um. Need I fucking remind you that being kicked out of the master is what saved your marriage my guy?#(He is a VERY violent sleeper and it caused Problems And Injuries And Arguments)#He calls it his “man cave” even though the only man cave thing about it us that he is a man sleeping and watching TV in it#He's always talking about nebulous plans to make it a mancave and then never follows though#bc he's a trash hoarder who keeps months of empty soda bottles piled up for no reason#and granted I also have messy room problems but at least I take out the trash and dirty dishes (if any) out of it every week#Meanwhile I know Exactly what I would do with the space#And I mean#Granted it /is/ going to be a hard sell trying to convince someone to downgrade to a child's bedroom#That could probably fit a full and still be comfortable but /definitely/ can't fit a queen#I tried to sell him on the large closet space (since that's something he's always complaining about not having any of at all)#Bc I will Happily downgrade to one of those garment racks if it means I can actually have space for all my music+art stuff#but no cigar :(#And listen#My room is small but it does have a decent amount of space so long as all of my belongings are contained#But They Have To Be Contained!#Which is really fucking hard to do when you own several large musical instruments and have ADHD
