Thunder in the Mountains
Summary: "A thunderstorm is rolling through town and you’re scared of lightening/thunder so I’ll protect you." (prompt sent in by @silverryu25) (note: this is a surface au despite the title.)
Warnings: nothing beyond the obvious angst/fear of storms
Thank you to @nugget4550 for beta reading this!
Read it on ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/46953829
Most of the weather on the surface was nice. The snow wasn’t as intense as it had been in Snowdin, the rain made some pretty relaxing sounds, and the summer season was absolutely beautiful. Sans had dreamed of the stars, but he had never anticipated just how wonderful sitting in the sun would be.
There was just one thing that bothered him, even after four years on the surface: storms. Every time the thunder rumbled, it sounded like a cave-in. The strobing flashes of lightning reminded him of all of the fights he’d had with the kid before they had finally worked things out. His best hope to make it through a storm was to close the blackout curtains he’d spent way too much money on, blast music in his headphones, and bury himself in a random book or TV show.
Unfortunately for him, Papyrus was much better at actually checking the forecast. If he wasn’t out on some diplomatic mission, he probably would have reminded him to make sure there weren’t any thunderstorm warnings. Instead, Sans had woken up to the sticky, clingy heat of a late summer day, and just gone on with his life like he normally would.
Now it was late evening, and he was curled up on the couch. He couldn’t bring himself to move to try and close the curtains. All he could do was stare out at the dark sky, and shudder at each rumble of thunder. They had been getting louder for a while, and he was dreading the thought that he might actually see where one of the lightning bolts landed.
Something grabbed his ankle. He jumped, flinching back so hard he nearly rolled over the arm of the couch. He shook his leg back and forth, and looked down.
A familiar red ecto-tail was wrapped around his ankle. He tried to take a deep breath, wincing a bit at the panicked wheezing sound. He stopped moving. He didn’t relax, he just stopped fighting against the touch.
“Hey, what’s up? I thought you went home already.” Sans turned around. Red had slithered up on the other side of the couch, and somehow he hadn’t even noticed. He tried to give him his best smile, but that quickly dropped off his face as another boom of thunder rang out.
He and Red had been seeing each other for a bit, but they hadn’t quite gotten to the point of spending the night at each other’s houses yet. Red had slithered off into the woods some time ago, shortly before the thick, dark clouds had rolled in. Sans wondered why he had come back. Maybe he had forgotten something?
Instead of answering him with signs, Red just took his hand and raised it up. His tongue flicked out of his mouth, the forked tips of it barely brushing against Sans’ bones. It wasn’t like Red really needed to smell him to see that he was stressed, but he didn’t object. He knew this was just instinct, and he wasn’t going to be a dick to his datemate no matter how bad he was feeling.
Sans gasped as another flash of light lit up the room. He turned around again, just in time to hear the loudest thundercrack of the night. He jerked back away from the window, his skull smacking into Red’s chest.
Both of them hissed in pain. He folded over and held his head, rubbing the spot where he’d slammed into Red’s collarbone. Red’s ecto-tail only filled in from the waist down, so it had been a hard bone-on-bone collision.
“Sorry,” Sans mumbled, sitting up. He turned around and put his hand on top of Red’s. “You okay?”
Red nodded. Then, before he could ask any follow-up questions, Red’s arms wrapped around him. He stared as Red picked him up and cradled him close to his chest, his cheekbones flushing a bit with magic.
Red got off of the couch. Sans had seen him move before, but it was still impressive how quickly he could slither, especially on the smooth wood floors. The thunder rang out again, and he soothingly rubbed Sans’ back with one hand as he went upstairs.
In one minute, they were in Sans’ bedroom. Red dropped him on the bed, then went over to the window. He closed the curtains and turned on the desk lamp, filling the room with soft yellow light.
Sans’ fingers felt stiff, but he still grabbed a couple of pillows and placed them against the head of the bed. His makeshift nest probably didn’t compare to Red’s, but he kept a few extra blankets and pillows to make sure they were both comfortable. They both enjoyed a good stay-home date. The memories of Red cuddling with him in bed while watching shitty movies helped him calm down a bit, and he finally felt like he could breathe properly.
Red tapped his shoulder. When he turned around, he slipped a pair of headphones on him. He handed Sans the phone they were attached to, already open to his playlists.
He clicked on the thunderstorm one, and scooted over. Red climbed into bed with him, curling his tail around Sans from his waist all the way down his legs. Rock music blared in the headphones, finally drowning out the thunder.
Red wiggled his fingers in front of Sans’ face, and he glanced up. “Safe now. You’re okay.” Red signed, giving him a small smile. “I’ll protect you. I love you.”
“Thank you.” He let his eyelights flicker out, and buried his face into the pillow next to Red’s. “Love you too.”
As the two of them laid there together, he felt more relaxed than he ever had during a thunderstorm. The gentle shifting noises of Red’s bones against the sheets as he petted his back filled Sans’ senses, drowning out any potential for faint echoes of thunder to creep in.
Red’s teeth pressed against his forehead, and he grinned. He tilted his head up, and gently clinked their teeth together. Then he nuzzled his face into Red’s neck, making himself even more comfortable. It might not be as soft as the pillows, but it was his favourite napping spot, and once he got into the right position, he couldn’t stay awake any longer.
In spite of the loud music, he found himself drifting off. He held on to Red, clinging to him even as sleep dulled his senses. If Red stayed over, he knew he could rest easy.

A Den Of Snakes
@seirindono I promised you a story about nagas a while ago but remembered you also liked mob/mafia aus. So this little piece started poking around my brain. New Au? Maybe? Don’t know, but I hope you like it!
Sorry if there are any mistakes, my computer has been a little glitchy lately and skips over a lot of stuff. haha!
~ ~ ~
A black and red-bellied naga lounged behind a grand desk drumming his gold-laden phalanges against the hard wood. The clicks from the sharp tipped claws were slow and methodical, prickling the hair on your neck as the man who escorted you scuttled from the room. A brief glance back revealed another standing in the corner, darker blue scales fading into a light underbelly.
Both wore impeccable suits, fedoras casting eerie shadows over their faces.
Both, were heads of the mafia…
Unfortunately for you, you were learning things tonight. Some more important than others, but all things you wished you had known before. Like finding out the mafia existed or that it wasn’t a connotation when you had heard people being called Snakes.
They were, in fact, giant man-eating snakes or those who worked for one.
Before moving here, you would have sworn mobs and mafias no longer existed. But here you were, holding a package filled with who knows what, while a concerningly large naga monster stared you down. To make matters worse, his upper half was that of a skeleton, piercing red orbs intently watching you from the void of his sockets.
It called into question every reason you had decided to become a freelance courier. It also explained why you had been getting jobs with increasingly higher payouts over the last several months.
If only you had figured it out sooner…
The tapping stopped, replaced by a deep drawl from the monster before you as he rose with an unsettling scraping of scales. “Good of you to finally make it, Doll. Been wait’n fer this for a while.”
You tried not to focus on the sheer amount of coils and tail he had or the knowledge that there was a second equally large mass behind you. Instead, you locked onto those red orbs and ignored the feeling of eyes on your back.
You had to be strong. That was all you could do in a situation like this. Suppress the shaking of your hands, show respect, and maintain a polite and professional manner. It got you through some of your more sketchy transactions and would hopefully get you through this one.
Letting out a breath, you did your best to offer a sincere smile.
“I apologize if the delivery took longer than anticipated, Sir. This was a bit last minute and I was not given proper warning as to the procedures of your establishment. In the future, should I be hired to make a delivery here, I will make sure to take that into consideration.” Pulling out your phone, you opened it to the electronic signature page. “If I could just get your preferred signature indicating the package has been delivered, I can be out of your way.”
As you presented your phone and package, you resisted the urge to look down and flinch when something brushed against your leg. The monster behind the desk didn’t move except to smirk and take out a particularly fat cigar.
“That won’t be necessary. I know the guy who sent it and I have no plans on let’n ya go. You are part of the delivery, after all.”
Your smile strained.
Whatever you do, don’t show fear.
It was like a mantra in the back of your mind as you processed what was just said.
Movement behind you broke your concentration, something brushing against your opposite leg. The smug look of the naga before fell into a sneer, eyelights morphing into thin slits.
There was an edge to his hiss.
“Sans, don’t–”
You almost tripped when a blue coil forced you back against a warm sturdy chest, an arm wrapping around to pin you in place. “I was wondering why you had me go through all the trouble of using this one. Heh. Didn’t think it would turn out to be something this interesting, Red.”
Red reared up, eyelights flaring with magic while his body physically puffed and shifted beneath him. Your heart raced, cold sweat beading on your neck from the sudden fear.
“Think ya overstayed your welcome, Sans. How bout ya go back ta the main house where ya belong and stay outta my business.”
Sans’ arm tightened around you but his voice seemed unbothered and relaxed. “Can’t do it bud. Your business just became our business. Think the others would agree with me.”
The air buzzed. “I found em first. Back off.”
You could feel the low chuckle rumble through you at Sans’ reply. “Sorry Red. Maybe next time.”
In a split second, Red lunged, throwing his massive body across the room with a roar. All you could do was close your eyes with a cry and brace for the inevitable impact. You felt strangely breathless after, as if you were falling. Then, with a very jarring sensation and an oomph from your captor, you fell forward and over top a pile of blue scales.
“BROTHER!!! I THOUGHT YOU ALL AGREED TO SHORTCUT INTO THE GARDEN, NOT THE LIVING ROOM!”
Confused by the new voice, you jerked up, frantically looking around. To your relief and horror, you found you were no longer inside Red’s office but in a truly massive and grand room filled with lounging cushions and short tables. However, there were also no less than three naga skeleton monsters among them. All eyes focused on you.
The ground moved.
“Sorry bro. Was in a bit of a hurry. Got an important delivery I wanted to make sure ya all saw.” Gloved skeletal hands lifted you to your feet before gripping your shoulder. “Heh heh. Welcome to The Den kid.”
…
Oh. Oh no…

More nagamob?
When an opportunity is presented to escape "The Den", you take it...Right?
Ao3 Link in Title
Caged Bird
You were in the grand kitchen making a sandwich when what you considered, “the” door, burst open. You had barely enough time to register the locks clicking before it was slamming it into the wall. Expecting your loud semi-friend Papyrus, you were not prepared for who came through instead.
A shorter skeletal Naga dressed in an impressive white satin suit made his way inside with a huff. A sky-blue tail peppered with tiny yellow speckles swished agitatedly behind him as he slipped through. Though, at the sight of you, he paused.
Something in the way he stared made you uneasy. You could tell he was hiding something behind careful neutrality. The sudden expanding of his eyelights didn’t help as his grin twitched into a smirk. Their blue and yellow glowed a little too brightly.
“HOW INTERESTING…”
While you were locked in the stare, a taller Naga sauntered in behind him. Light reflected off the orange iridescent scales, undertones of dark amber shimmering amongst soft honey. Unlike the first, his suit was dark, the jacket draped over a slouched shoulder.
The rising tickle in the back of your mind was going to drive you crazy. It felt wrong… You almost missed the grip placed on the smaller’s shoulder.
“May I be of service gentlemen?”
The blue Naga hummed. Holding up a gloved hand, a large manilla envelope quickly made its way into it. Then, with a flick of his wrist, the dense parcel slid across the counter.
“THIS IS THE MONEY RECOVERED FROM THE STYGIAN INCIDENT. MAKE SURE THIS GETS TO THE DON. I WOULD HATE FOR IT TO GET, LOST.”
He didn’t wait for you to answer, immediately turning to continue out the kitchen doors into the lounge.
Coils shifted.
“You’re that new courier that’s been going around, aren’t you?”
You wanted to sigh but knew better. Before you had been so graciously dragged here, all your new clients had called you that. Even though you had been delivering for the past two years, everyone had still considered you new. It had been rather annoying at times having to deal with those who had little faith in your abilities. It was also getting harder to hide your expressions since coming here.
“Yes sir, unless someone else has started since I last checked.”
He chuckled, eyelights flicking over you. “What has ya hangin' around the Den? Bossman decide ta pull ya under his scales?”
Your smile twitched. “You could say that.”
“How convenient.” You didn’t like the subtle shift you felt between the two of you as he leaned on the shared counter. You couldn’t quite put your finger on what had changed, but something definitely had. At least the tickling sensation started to settle and dissipate. “How about you help a guy out then? Got a… shipment need’n to be brought in from the car but I also got other business I need to get done. Promise I’ll make it worth your while~”
That familiar pit of anxiety stirred in your stomach followed by excitement. He didn’t know it, but simply being allowed outside was more than you could ask for. It was the chance you needed to finally leave this place. It had been quite a bit harder to escape than anticipated. Windows were too heavy, high, or locked. Most doors were also locked, some guarded from the outside. The only open rooms were yours and those with nothing to offer.
This man’s ignorance could very well be your ticket out. It brought a genuine smile to your face.
“Of course. I’d be happy to help.”
“Good.” Giving a nod, He pushed the envelope into your hands with a wink. “It’s all in the car, pretty bird. Don’t disappoint.”
You didn’t need to be told twice. As casually as you could, you grabbed the envelope and abandoned your half-made sandwich. From the corner of your eye, the honeyed Naga watched long enough for you to make your way through the previously locked door.
You were only mildly surprised it led into a mudroom. A large plush rug, a shelf of towels, and a wide U-shaped brush system peppered with lingering scales were only a few of the things found inside. The most important thing, though, was the exit. It was kind enough to lead outside under the cover of a covered archway.
On your right, the driveway passed under the arch into a modest courtyard. On your left was the main drive toward the estate’s gates. Across the way, the access door of a garage enticed you with its open door.
You took a breath.
You could do this. You just needed to hurry before the other house members realized.
Before Don Sans realized...
You were in the garage before you could process anything else, heart pumping. Several Monster-sized vehicles met you, each one surprisingly more nondescript than the last. You prayed you would have luck with keys.
You didn’t know how you would fare driving such a large vehicle, but you only needed to get out of the gate with it. The first opportunity you had, you planned to ditch the thing in case they were tagged. Two cars down, you found what you were looking for.
The engine was still warm, keys in the ignition. Upon further inspection, you took note of a pile of boxes in the back and the lack of “normal” seats and smiled. Your two new friends had really outdone themselves for you.
Then you saw it.
The car had been modified for the use of Monsters. More importantly, Naga, Monsters. There were no pedals of any kind. In their place were hand controls. Very fancy hand controls.
You were going to have to take the time to figure them out.
Time you might not have.
Waving caution to the wind, you threw the envelope on the modified seat and started the ignition. For a brief second, you did a double take when stacks of hundreds broke free but recovered quickly enough to start fiddling with controls.
A push of a lever had the engine revving. Cursing, you frantically pulled back until it stopped. You had to keep yourself from panicking at the noise. All you could do was keep trying and hope no one came to investigate.
Unfortunately, less than five minutes later, a tsk had ice washing over you.
“I AM CURIOUS… WHAT AN INTERESTING CHOICE, BIRDIE. ARE YOU SURE IT WAS THE RIGHT ONE? I DO BELIEVE YOU HAVE TO PULL THE BREAKS BEFORE YOU SHIFT AND ENGAGE.” The Blue and yellow Naga from before leaned casually into the open window next to you, smile ominously bright.
You couldn’t breathe. You were stuck staring into the glow of his lidded eyelights. Your horror only grew when he reached through to pull a lever next to you. It was slow and purposeful. His smile never slipped and his eyelights never left yours. You didn’t know if his uncanny cheerfulness was better or worse than rage.
“HOW ABOUT WE MAKE A DEAL~. I LET YOU TAKE THIS CAR AND ATTEMPT AN ESCAPE, LET YOU SNITCH SANS’ MONEY, AND WHEN YOU ARE INEVITABLY CAUGHT…” His head cocked with a giggle, grin morphing into a sinister smirk. “YOU WORK FOR ME. I’M SURE WE COULD COME UP WITH QUITE THE ARRANGEMENT.”
It was hard to keep the shake out of your hands. He had you in a corner. It wouldn’t take much for him to grab you. He was already far too close. You also doubted the Don would take too kindly to your attempt at escape should you be dragged back inside. This Naga knew this, and he knew you knew it. However, you needed to know more about the type of person he was.
You swallowed. “What if I refuse?”
For just a moment his eyelights shrank and dilated, claws subtly scraping aluminum and plastic.
“YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT CAGED BIRDS…” His voice lowered. “THEY DON’T LIVE THAT LONG OUT OF CAPTIVITY.”
…
You were stuck. Context proved you couldn’t not take the deal. At least if you were able to leave now, you had a semblance of a chance at escape. You only needed to get a few blocks away for you to be able to disappear through the allies and back streets. If you refused, you were as good as dead.
Swallowing, you made up your mind. Tentatively reaching out your hand, you accepted.
He outright beamed. “SO CUTE. SO EASY. I’LL HOLD YOU TO IT, BIRDIE. I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU~”
The blue of his scales vanished around the other vehicles before you could breathe properly again, but you didn’t allow yourself to relax. Managing to figure out and drive the vehicle to the metal gates, the honeyed Naga winked again as he distracted the guards, motioning you through to your freedom.
…
The first familiar alley you came to, you ditched the car. The Den was behind you and there had been more than enough money in the envelope to give you a plethora of ideas for escape.
It was time to do what you did best.
Disappear…

Nagamob/Nagamafiatale ; )
Realizations
This was all those Snake bastards' fault. You should have never agreed to take on this delivery. You could have been relatively safe back at the Den or with the S.F. Brothers, but no! You thought you could handle this job in order to win back your freedom. It wasn’t supposed to be dangerous. Difficult, maybe. Dangerous, no. A simple and straightforward drop-off. Navigate through the northern district of the downtown area without being mugged or stopped and give the package to someone by the name of Dacio.
Easy!
And yet here you were...
Waiting just inside the loading bay of the old Wetherford’s Brick Factory, you had thought Dacio was just taking his time showing up. It was a common problem with people who chose to pick up in these types of areas. So naturally, when a black car with tinted windows showed up, you assumed it was him.
You were only half right.
You should have run the moment more than just Dacio stepped out of the car. You should have run faster when, after dodging being grabbed, several more vehicles cut off your escape. Now you were stuck, forced on your knees while a group of hostile suits surrounded you. Each one sporting the same silver pin on their left pocket.
A mongoose devouring a snake…
The approaching crunch of loose concrete and brick had your heart clenching.
“Well, well, well. If it isn’t the little Rocket!” A man with handsome blond hair and green eyes grinned down at you, Dacio not too far behind looking smug. “People used to pay a lot of money to use your service. Quite quick on your feet. It was a mistake making yourself the Snake’s personal pet. A real shame.” His grin turned sinister as he knelt on your level. “You would have been untouchable if you’d have stayed neutral.” Patting your cheek, he took the package from your now loose grip.
Sharp bitter feelings of betrayal swirled around in your guts. You hadn’t planned to be pulled into all of this mess. You didn’t start doing courier work to transport illegal wares or shady packages and it was not by choice that you ended up among the Snakes. You thought there was a need in the city for your work. With the rise of inflation and rent, you simply needed the extra cash. You never would have thought it would cause you to be kidnapped by the mafia!
That made the blond bastard’s words sting that much more. You were never truly going to be free after this job, were you? Not with a target painted on your back. Were you even meant to make it out of this alive at all?
You forced yourself to look away. Blondie gave an amused huff at your defeated look, standing to investigate the box. It was blessedly quiet while he cut it open.
A click.
“Bomb!!!”
It was impressive how fast he was able to throw it.
The box barely landed before exploding, causing your ears to ring and spots to cloud your sight. The man behind you yelped along with everyone else, pulling you up from the floor towards the general location of the car.
Disoriented and terrified, you fought. The more you struggled, the tighter the bruising grip on your arm became until you found yourself slammed against the side of one of the cars. It was at this point that your vision finally started to clear enough to notice the new bunch swarming in.
Snakes blocked the truck entrances into the factory, shooting several of your captors and scattering more further into the building. Don Red could be seen giving orders, cackling through a crazed grin behind walls of bone and magic.
The blond-haired man crouched behind the car next to your pinned form, carefully taking shots as others joined beside him. Cursing, he grabbed another man's gun out of his hands, pushing him out of the way to continue shooting.
“Idiots! Start the car! They won’t be able to shoot through the glass!”
Everyone shuffled as they followed the command, someone sliding through to the driver’s side while others piled in the back. You only fought harder once the pressure on your back loosened, smashing the back of your head into the nose of the man holding you. A few yards away, you felt the familiar push of heavy hands tackle you to the concrete floor.
Your head hit hard enough to stun you, the flash of a gun and the growled threats barely registering to your hazy mind. Movement high above seemed far more tolerable to watch as you tried to regain yourself.
You wanted to laugh.
Wrapped around the old scaffolding at the very top of the building, was the massive iridescent form of a sleek black and scarlet naga monster. It was satisfying watching them expertly glide down and under the walkway to hang from old supports. Then, with the glint of a self-satisfied smirk, its red eyelights flashed.
They dropped, sharpened bones forming to fall with them.
You were lucky you had managed to get yourself away from the car. The Massive coils of the naga weighed heavily against the car they landed on, partially crushing down the top. Anyone not already inside was not only assaulted by the angry naga, but also the falling bone attacks.
The man on top of you didn’t stand a chance. Attempting to flee, he was promptly grabbed by the sharp claws of a large skeletal hand before getting unceremoniously bitten and tossed.
You were probably going into some sort of shock from all the excitement and possible concussion. Remaining on the ground, you didn’t feel the need to run from being scooped up, staring up instead into the scarred socket and fire-like eyelights.
“RED!!! I’VE SECURED THE TARGETS. TAKE YOUR LITTLE HUMAN SO THE REST OF US CAN TAKE OUT THE TRA–”
His body jerked with a snarled hiss, rearing up and swiveling. Hanging part way out of a now open and cracked window was the blond. Judging by the useless pressing of his finger on the trigger, his ammunition was gone.
Your neck prickled.
“PATHETIC WORM!”
With one smooth motion, you were dropped amongst the safety of agitated coils as the naga lunged. You could hear pained yelps and garbled choking from your place between the rolling scales. As the wrestling subsided, the Don slithered to stand next to his brother, the gunfire blessedly silent.
Thick red smoke exhaled around the butt of a cigar. “Ya ight? Yer bleed’n.”
The coils tightened.
“SHUT UP, I’M FINE. I CAN’T SAY THE SAME FOR MY PATIENCE. NEXT TIME YOU AND SANS MAKE ANOTHER RIDICULOUS PLAN LIKE THIS, KEEP ME OUT OF IT. I DON’T APPRECIATE BEING PUT ON CLEANUP. MORE SO WHEN THERE ARE DISTRACTIONS.”
Red chuckled, carefully extracting you from being squeezed. “Didn’t see ya complain’n when ya got ta rain hell from above like some hero ‘n shit. Yer just cranky ya got yerself stung.”
The hellfire lights blazing in his brother’s sockets had Red backing up, his firm grip holding you to his chest. You were still too in shock to care.
“GET OUT BEFORE I KILL YOU MYSELF! I HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO TAKE CARE OF.” With a shake to the choking blond, he turned to direct the Snakes in extracting the survivors within the car.
Another chuckle rumbled through Red’s chest, a downright lecherous grin pointedly sent your way as he spoke. “Don’t mind if we do. Heh. Time ta head home, Dollface.”
…
There really wasn’t any form of freedom outside of the Den, was there?
…

Request Reports
Things are coming along! Thank you all for your patience while I work. My mind tends to jump to different ones when inspiration strikes. Not all shone.
LeviathanTale (Very late Special Thanks response):
You both made undignified panicked noises as you thrashed about, each of you doing your best to simultaneously free yourself while attempting to maintain some sort of hold on the other. The glowing target pulsing above his sternum continued to glow brighter and more erratic. One of your tentacles almost made contact with it but the creature managed to grab the appendage with a desperate snarl before it could. “Boss! Nightmare!” A different tentacle found an opening around an upper rib, causing a choked gasp. “A little help!!?”
Nightmare X chubby reader:
You squeaked as dark skeletal hands snaked around and under you to sweep you off your feet. When your hands inevitably flung up, they too were quickly caught, held by your captor's familiar accompanying tentacles. The hum that came next vibrated your chest and tickled your ear. “Hello, Pet. I’ve been waiting for you.”
NagaMob/NagamafiaTale:
You were in the grand kitchen at the time, on your way out of the pantry when a previously locked door burst open. The first to enter was a smaller skeletal Naga dressed in a white suit, sky blue tail peppered with tiny yellow speckles gliding behind him. He held a large manilla envelope full enough to burst. Pausing, he took you in with a neutral expression until his eyelights expanded, smirking. “INTERESTING.” Tossing the envelope to you, he called over his shoulder as he continued on his way. “MAKE SURE THAT GETS TO THE DON.”

Not dead, just chugging along...
Request blip:
“I’ll have you know, that if it had been any other, they would not have made it past that door."
Again, you ignored him, instead finding a clear space on his desk to place the tray before quickly handing him the warmed cup. Nightmare sputtered, dropping his quill in order not to spill the still-steaming beverage.
NagaMob piece:
Coils shifted. “You’re new.”
You wanted to cringe, defaulting into customer service. “Yes, sir. I haven’t been here long.”
“Don’t gotta tell ya what would happen if that doesn’t get where it needs to go, do I?”
A subtle brightening of his left eyelight sent a shiver down your spine. “No sir.”
He nodded, backing away toward the lounge. “Good. Bring the boxes in too would ya? You can leave them on the counter for the others to put away. Don’t open them.”
If you had a nickel for every time “the voice” had been used since you moved to this town, and yet these snakes still somehow made it that much more intimidating…
Sea Of Hope:
Axe turned his good eyelight on the doctor, making sure she didn’t turn away. “Better now, while they don’t know, than risk breaking bonds out of stupidity and pride. Least now they would still have a chance ta come around and fix what they’ve done. Broken bonds aint that simple. Seen monsters dust from broken bonds. Not takin the chance.”

Almost finished! NagaMob update
Putting the finishing touches/editing on the long-awaited NagaMob piece before I finish chapter 9 of SOH. Here is an unedited sneak peek for those who have been waiting! Keep a look out these next few days!
~~~
The sharp bitter feelings of betrayal swirled around in your guts. You hadn’t planned to be pulled into all of this mess. You didn’t start doing courier work to transport illegal wares or shady packages and it was not by choice that you ended up among the Snakes. You thought there was a need in the city for your work. With the rise of inflation and rent, you simply needed the extra cash. You never would have thought it would cause you to be kidnapped by the mafia!
Blondie’s words stung. You were never truly going to be free after this job, were you? Perhaps you weren’t meant to make it out alive at all…
Quick question: I see you and a few other blogs writing Lamiatale stuff and I was wondering if you knew who the original creator was? I'm just wondering because I'm really interested in writing them but I wanna get the creator's permission first.
Whew, ok. Lamiatale started as a NSFW idea with eli-sin-g/kolesjoie (a pretty inactive blog at this point) and sanspar (who changed their blog name to get a fresh start). Since then, many artists and authors have created their own versions of Lamiatale.
I generally write lamia characters (Lamiatale was specifically skeleton brothers in which the Sans was a snake or lamia) and about the lamiatale bittybones that I personally created.
If you’re just writing lamia characters, I wouldn’t be too concerned about specific permissions, but if you’re intending to use the original idea of the skeleton brothers with the Sanses as lamias, I would suggest trying to contact @/kolesjoie (deactivated) or @zwagyzonk for information/permission.
