Randomly started thinking about Fairy Tail after all this time and all of the things wrong with it and how all of the other guilds are just Fairy Tail with a different coat of paint and I'm two seconds away from writing self indulgent fix it fics because good lord

(I'm mainly talking about post-Tenrou cause that's where most of my criticisms are. I have very few complaints about pre-Tenrou cause those arcs slap)

#fairy tail #this is coming from someone who watched the shit out of it #i hadn't watched the anime in so long but best believe i tuned in for that last episode #i started sobbing when snow fairy started playing #but anyway it's the way that the series was too scared to keep characters evil and/or perma kill them #like i think only 5 PEOPLE died in this entire franchise pre-100 year quest #only 3 people deserved redemptions imo and for some reason more than those 3 people got redemptions #i also wish the guilds had different dynamics because when it comes down to it they're all pretty much the same #blue pegasus is just fairy tail but with ouran high school host club mixed into it #lamia scale is fairy tail but snake themed #mermaid heel is fairy tail but with lesbians #sabertooth is fairy tail but they're assholes who eventually become fairy tail 2.0 because they got a power of friendship pep talk #you could tell me the other guild characters were part of fairy tail and i wouldn't question it that's how similar they are #anyway gonna write about sting and rogue leaving sabertooth cause their boss was homophobic (canon tbh) and they become mercenaries
