this was a funny little shitpost but i've never left a thing alone in my life especially when i'm being misinterpreted so i will be responding to the comments being made here

i don't actually think laios would flirt with kabru in the traditional sense, you're right. he's not going to be hitting on him or asking him out. to the people who think laios wouldn't even realise he has a thing for kabru, i don't disagree with you! HOW E VER i want you to recognise that while laios is a lot of things, repressed shouldn't be counted as one of them, and i think actions and words can be read and understood as flirtatious without the actual person consciously flirting. that is what i meant. if laios likes kabru i think even if he's very subtle about it, kabru (especially working with post-canon framework and ideally maybe a few months to a year of spending time with laios) will be able to tell. it might confuse him initally but he will work it out. and then the above scenario plays out. it could be "weird" flirting like infodumping monster facts or slightly increased physical affection but i promise you kabru will be able to understand it for what it is, even if it takes a bit of time. for me personally demonstrating interest in someone else whether consciously or subconsciously counts as a flirt or a first move, but i understand that's not seen as the case. trust meeee

kabru is canonically too smart for miscommunication trope. if anything laios would flirt with him One Single Time and kabru catches on immediately and runs it through his mental processor (does laios not know what he's doing? -> no he does. is he doing this to practice?? -> laios would not lead me on like that -> is he aware of how i feel? -> am i aware of how i feel???) and then literally the next time laios is free he schedules a meeting they sit down at the table kabru leans across looks him dead in the eyes and says very calmly on a scale of im just playing to lets get married how serious are u about this
