Dear Ladynoir,

Defiant Dragons is actually the English translation of the original name in Khuranese with the name of a man who saved Holy Mother many years ago, with a Japanese name I didn't know meant "Dragon." His heroism, bravery, and courage as a Defense Attorney inspired me to become who I am.

The man's name was Ryunosuke and I shortened it to Ryu. I originally wanted it to be The Ryu Rebels, but... when you're a wanted man, you can't control what the English Journalists write in the Newspaper, so there you have it.

Jove and I discussed a number of things before his death, but nothing that specific, so I had to take a guess on Apollo's date of birth. I didn't exactly have the time to find a medium to channel his spirit so I could ask him.

Getting Apollo to a safe place was no easy task, but I had my ways. Let's just say it pays to have connections here and there.

Indeed. It's actually one of the reasons I wished to help Sahdmadhi. I could see, despite being from a country with rather corrupt laws, he was a man of truth.

I suppose Wright and I have a sibling kind of relationship, being neither of us have siblings. Larry had an older sister, but she was more of his parental figure than anything. In a way, all three of us became brothers.

(And, Father became Wright's and Larry's father figure.)

I did notice that. Not that I ever thought about that when meeting Prosecutor Sahdmadhi.

I never really thought about it, but I suppose I do see Edgeworth as a close brother of mine. We have grown up as kids and I did see his father as a parental figure of sorts.

My birth name actually means "first dragon," but I did find the metaphor interesting.

Actually, I must confess, I had sometimes used my birth name while in Khura'in when speaking in Japanese, though Ryuichi is not the name the Defiant Dragons used when translating their rebellion name to Japanese. That's because they're called the Defiant Dragons, not the First Dragons.

More specifically, in Japanese they'd be called Hangyaku no Ryu. Their motto would be "Ryu wa kussezu" or "Dragon never surrenders." The first part of my name would be there, but not the full. Even if my name was shortened to "Ryu" for Japanese speakers informally speaking to me, it would be "Ryu-chan" or "Ryu-kun."

So, no. No one uses my name when talking about the Defiant Dragons in my native tongue. It has Ryu in the name, but that's no more confusing than if a rebellion were called the Black Cats and there just happened to be a foreigner named Kitty.

I once read in my Ojii-chan’s journals of his past cases and the Case that really stuck with him was his first case in London, which included a piece of evidence named Phoenix Wright. To this day, its ashes are buried in London with a gravestone in memory of the old omnibus that burned inside the Old Bailey. I thought to name myself after it in memory of my Ojii-chan.

Trucy’s Japanese name, Minuki, means to read someone or to see through them since she had the ability to see through lies. I thought it was cute.

I can confirm that Edgeworth has never parented Trucy. He's babysat her, but he's never done more than the bare minimum by his standards.

(Never had trouble with Trucy either.)

I've also never accused of Trucy of anything on the News or am anything like Nancy Grace! Sure, I may bluff and maybe question if Trucy did anything, but that's just me being a concerned parent.

Funny, but I'd say it's an exaggeration. Uncle Miles is an uncle, so he's never had to parent me for any reason. He did babysit me, but following the rules and doing what he said was easy. He never got onto me for not brushing my teeth, though did ask me to brush my teeth when he smelled my breath.

As for Daddy, I can confirm he is like Nancy Grace at times. Though, he's never accused me of things on the News. More like he'd ask me where the keys were as if I did something with them without actually saying it.

I do not, but my previous husband did. Actually, Jove Justice was his stage name. His original name was Sousuke Odoroki and our son was originally Hosuke Odoroki. 

I guess whoever raised our baby boy named him Apollo without knowing his full name or that he was born in Japan before immigrating to America. As for Trucy, Mr. Wright did give her a Japanese name after adopting her so she could inherit his sword once he passes away.
