omg thank you so much for showing this cover now! i never kept up with iz*one or zerobaseone from their survival program days or now when they all debuted, but i'm seriously regretting it because jo yuri and zhang hao are absolutely phenomenal! jo yuri has such a nice voice - if you have any jo yuri song recs, please let me know because i'm in love with her voice - and zhang hao is so handsome! their duet was absolutely stunning, and i hope they get to perform together again in the near future! little disclaimer - i didn't really watch or read much this past quarter, but this is what i got! ^^

watched:

wind breaker season 1 - i watched this in early january! i went into it pretty much blind, since i thought it was cool to see the main character have split hair color and heterochromia. the anime was a lot different than i thought it would be - what kind of anime promotes fighting? (⊙ˍ⊙) - but i enjoyed watching sakura warm up to people and slowly but surely getting his character development! i absolutely adore umemiya - he's such a cutie pie! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

nina the starry bride - i found out about this anime through an instagram reel sometime after i was done with wind breaker and let me just say: it did NOT disappoint. i am fully invested into the love triangle - yes, i know there's more to the plot but i don't care, i'm just here for the love triangle - and i am on team sett all the way! i really hope that there'll be another season but i am all here for it and i am SAT ( ˘︹˘ )

my hero academia season 1 - i decided to watch season 1 of mha towards the end of january because of a video that went kind of viral on x where a little girl was holding up a shoto plush and was gushing over how shoto had a 'birthmark' like her - i know some spoilers about the anime, so nobody tell her the truth about shoto's mark ಠ╭╮ಠ i have to admit that it's a little slow right now but i heard that it gets better, so hopefully the pace picks up if i ever do decide to watch the second season \(@^0^@)/

fruits basket - all 3 seasons of the 2019 fruits basket reboot took up my february, and i have no complaints because it's just SO. GOOD. it is VERY problematic, but i can definitely see why it's a classic shojo anime - the plot is just that good. i absolutely adore yuki and i LOVE tohru's character, and i will forever be bitter on how the author did yuki best boy SO dirty (i love kyo too, so don't come after me) ￣へ￣

solo leveling season 1 - i watched season 1 of solo leveling in the middle of march, and i am so upset that i didn't watch it earlier because it's SO. GOOD. sung jinwoo is just THAT™️guy - he's just aura farming for all 12 episodes of the season. aura so strong, he should change his name to sung dripwoo (⌐■_■)

thoughts: first of all, i don't care what y'all say - jean and mikasa got married at the end of the anime/manga go argue with the wall if you disagree. i absolutely adore this oneshot because it gave such a realistic glimpse into jean and mikasa's life while they visit eren. because you can love two people, but the way that you love can be completely different. and this oneshot is proof of that \^o^/

pentagon - 1 + 1 - this is one of my favorite pentagon b-sides in general and i forgot about it until recently - which i have no idea why i would even forget about it, because it's just so adorable! also, pentagon is SEVERELY underrated because how did they go from making shine, the song of the summer in 2018, to falling out of relevancy? make it make sense ╰（‵□′）╯

j-hope - mona lisa - i don't listen to a lot of bts songs, but this song was undeniably catchy! i love how catchy and addicting this song is, and i can't wait to find more songs that are just as fun as this one! －O－

Did you enjoy any of the 2024 MAMA performances?! I'm not sure which artists from the past 3 days you listen to!

i did! aespa's and bigbang's were my favorite performances, but there was some really good performances from other groups as well! mama was the last place that i expected a bigbang reunion to take place (i'm sure g-dragon agrees with me, lol) so i was pleasantly surprised by their performance! as for aespa, no words are necessary because they ate and left no crumbs! i heard that giselle had an allergic reaction - hence the sunglasses - but that didn't stop her from performing! i fear she's allergic to not slaying (⌐■_■)

as for the other performances, let's talk about (g)i-dle first! soyeon is BRAVE - who else has the guts to diss her haters AND to name-drop a former member? i've heard that (g)i-dle's contracts with cube are ending soon and because of that, rumors that they're leaving are taking place - some evidence people have is soyeon mentioning soojin and that the girls looked rather sad after their performance. i personally think that they're just leaving cube - as they should, because cube is TRASH - so i'm holding onto hope that they'll still stay as a group and reunite with soojin! as for rosé, i was a little disappointed that she and bruno didn't perform apt live - apparently, it was pre-recorded. either way, she's got lots of other opportunities to perform live, so i hope she'll do when the time comes! and last but not least, katseye! i was NOT expecting their performance to be like THAT - THE FREAKING SPLITS?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! i was SHOOK（⊙ｏ⊙）

ateez work - i already love work, but this took it to a whole 'nother level! i would love for there to be a 'band' version of this song - band is in quotes because this isn't exactly a band version, but the point still stands that work is a sonically good song ≡(▔﹏▔)≡

ateez ice on my teeth - they really committed to the tennis bit of this song, LOL. but all jokes aside, ateez is absolutely KILLING it at mma - their outfits and performances are INSANE. speaking of outfits, i liked that the members wore white while the backup dancers wore black so we could distinguish the members from the backup dancers - it was a little harder to distinguish aespa from their backup dancers because they all wore black ＞﹏＜

How do you like NCT DREAM's new album so far?

i really like dreamscape so far! this is, yet again, another solid album - as expected of nct dream ( ˘︹˘ ) i was surprised by how a lot of their songs had an edm/futuristic vibe to it! so far, my favorites are you, heavenly, and off the wall, but of course, that might change once i listen to the album again a few more times \^o^/

What does your September writing agenda look like?

i think updating chapter 17 of somewhere only we know will be on my september writing agenda! usually, i'd post the next story in the queue that needs updating first - which is supposed to be hauntingly beautiful - but i think i'll update somewhere only we know first so that i can update hauntingly beautiful in october for the spooky vibes :p

NO I AGREE! when the comeback was announced, the VERY first few teaser images ALREADY made me feel unnerved! the teaser images aren't *that* bad but the bear clip that was released today really solidified my fear, LMAO. i agree that the recipe is creepy! recipe for a taste of heaven? more like a recipe for a taste of hell o((⊙﹏⊙))o
