I used to think that the only thing that separated people was fear. The fear to speak up, speak out, be emotional, whatever. But I've since realized that sometimes, people really don't want to connect. Not because of fear, but just because there is no connection. And this realization causes me to be more fearful than anytime that I've separated myself from someone.
