I actually became a leftist on a bicycle, i learned the term labour theroy of value and thought about it. When i put my energy into peddling my wheels i am directly rewarded with movement and fun. The bicycle is my means of propulsion.
Everything just clicked!

I think this is key here in the term "marketing" because ketchup is not naturally purple or really that red either. It's an illusion. It was cheaper to produce, smaller, worse ingredients. There really is no such thing as purple ketchup.
Ketchup is a revolutionary product that turns any crappy food edible. The illusion of purple ketchup parralels crypto, "ai" and nfts shallow wasteful products that are carefully "marketed" made to seem innovative but just entrench the current systems of power.
The contrast between purple and red ketchup establishes ketchup as a normal and a natural part of life. There's of course soy sauce, gravy, other revolutionary sauces of other cultures. Ketchup is a bastardized tomato sauce, there's even banana ketchup in the Phillipines.
It's an illusion that we have a market economy that incentivizes creating revolutionary products. What we really have is a conservative economy that is based around cannibalizing itself.
I think something like into the spider verse being corporate, reckognizable property and produced unethically but still manages to be good. I think it's because quality is something fought for and in spite of the market.
I think the way unions reckognize both the labour theroy of value and the reality of our capitalist system It's hypocritical. But thoughtful. Hypocrisy is the only way to actually rebel, or change anything. But it has risks.
I think hypocrisy is kind of a sacrifice of your soul, and can make you go insane. Like a tankie, or a terf or something, reactionary you know? There are systems to turn radical revolutionary change back into that fascist undercurrent. Feeling nostalgia for the soviet union, is the same as feeling nostalgic for purple ketchup, the promised revolution that never came.
Society is not stagnant and theres no "way things are". The Bourgeois entrench "the way things are" because it allows them to siphon capital at the expense of shrinking the amount of things actually possible. They need to bring back Heinz EZ squeeze purple ketchup but they wont because it widens the joy possible in our lifetimes.
