ill say for me, as a guy, even tho it might be a bit different since im trans, im being repelled by the left bc a lot of them are assholes.
#i think the difference is my experience with misogyny & transphobia prevents me from wanting to be on the right#since i cant be conspiracy-brained into thinking they'd be beneficial to me in any capacity anymore. so. also bc ik better#and about how insidious conspiracy theories are... but for a lot of people... yall being repelling assholes no one wants to be around#is very much a contributing factor to people moving away whether you want to accept that or not.#and YES even if you want to accept it or not those few feminists who are assholes paint the movement for them. which is why labels#can kind of suck bc when you say your values fall under a specific label and harp on your values and act like ppl should believe them#too Or Else Theyre Bad- then yeah they're gonna demonize the whole thing bc they're gonna think being a guilt trippy asshole#is par of the course for being part of that movement. its why a lot of progressive ppl moved away from the label 'feminist' bc the#label has become so tainted with assumptions and misinformation n shit that when you call yourself one ppl just dismiss#you by default.#im not saying its good or right. i hate that fact too bc it never had a negative connotation to me. but it does for a lot of ppl#unfortunately.
