ive finally started watching season 2 of the bttf cartoon and holy shit i forgot how awful this is lmao. but s2’s already off to a bad start:

• the intro’s different. instead of a fun little thing where doc picks up his family members + marty in various time periods, its just a compilation of clips from season one. LAAAAME! i LOVED the season 1 intro why would they do this?? well i guess i know why they would do that but still, LAAAME

• live action chris lloyd in the boat with the shittiest green screen ive seen in a while rambling on about pirates and wearing a completely yellow outfit for some reason skdksksks. I do really enjoy chris lloyds appearances but that was really something for not having watched this kinda thing in a while

• having to get re-used to dan castellaneta’s (how do u spell his name???) doc voice

• marty and jennifer. i dont like marty in this show which is a goddamn shame bc i LOVE marty. but he’s not himself!! super out of character. but anyway yeah so this episode marty claimed he had tickets for a concert jennifer wanted to go to but he didnt and he couldnt get them so jennifer got upset and called him “marty mcfibber” (i think i just saw that happen and honestly dont remember) and ran off with some other dude that pulled up in his car. maybe this will get resolved but dude idk i really dont care for their characters in this show

• clara and doc dont want verne to get an ear piercing!!! wack

• ok but speaking of clara so far her gags have been funny like the “can this wait im washing my hair” *is wearing a hair washing machine* and her “what have i told you about getting your ear pierced?” “Nuthin’” *checks to-do list on fridge and sees that she didnt do that* “i KNEW i was forgetting something!”

Anyway. These are all thoughts from literally only 6 min in.

OK MORE INFO I REMEMBER it was more stylised like modern versions of the characters but was still simplistic (which LAAAME cus i like their older designs) it had rlly pretty colouring and shading and the background art compared to the original cartoon was more high-detail and elaborate

ANYWAYS the flashback revealed that the robots the big monster was controlling were formerly humans and mostly didn’t remember anything about being one except One Of Them ONLY remembered his name (not even that it was his, just the name itself) which was all they had to go off for a while

i actually woke up before the whole thing got resolved which SUCKS but also that kind of makes it concerning that the geek blew up one of their heads . Hope there was a reason that was okay for her to do because she has standards
