BEFORE THE DISASTER »

Growing up with a strong relationship with his older brother, Thomas took on a lot of his traits. Like his older brother, the boy was kind hearted and soft spoken, caring and selfless, motivated and dedicated. He prided himself in this and, even as he grew older, tried his best to be just like Logan. Despite his absent mother (who left when he was one) and a father who was rarely home due to traveling for work, Tom would always make an effort to see the man every chance he had, as well as his older siblings, all whilst also still in school and working part-time at a convenience store.

When his father suffered brain damage from a car accident, Thomas spend time with him whenever the teen wasn’t working at the store or at school, along with his sister Annie, who gave up work altogether to care for the man full-time. With his older brother no longer living with them but residing locally, Tom could only ever see him on Logan’s terms from then on, but their relationship never for a second weakened.

Once Logan alerted the rest of the family about the corpses he’d seen wandering the streets, they felt that they had no choice but to put their house under lock down, unable to travel with their ill father. However, after two weeks, once their resources were running slim, they were forced to leave. His siblings made the decision to turn off their father’s life machine and, after saying their final goodbyes, the three of them climbed into their father’s jeep and left.

AFTER THE DISASTER »

They found the camp by fluke, simply driving aimlessly until they saw the graffiti scattered around New Jersey. They followed the directions, each spray painted instruction different as they got closer to the camp, until they finally arrived. They were all roomed together and Tom volunteered to work with his brother as welcoming committee, eager as ever to follow in his footsteps despite having the option to reside there without working due to his age. His sister followed their footsteps also.
