In general Arsay loves how free spirited and adventurous her partners are, and she does understand that they can always travel together; but that doesn’t stop her from being sad when she has to say good bye !

And tbh with the amount of traumatic moments shes dealt with from adventuring, I think it’s fair that she treats every big goodbye as if it could be the last. She is ever optimistic that nothing bad would happen, and she knows that her loved ones can take care of themselves, but… well, you never know, do you?

It’s easy to assume arsay is just being her silly old self when she says stuff like “do try to come back in one piece”, or “promise me you won’t use experimental magic without notifying anyone first, okay?”. Especially because she’ll say it with her signature smile. Even if she is saying it in jest, a part of her is serious. Not even she realizes how she’ll linger on a hug, or refuse to let go of a hand until the last second. It’s not something anyone would really pick up on tbh. It’s not like she makes a big dramatic event of it. No, arsay would never bring down the mood of a sending off! It’s very important to take on an adventure with smile and with hope in your heart!
