With the Avatar the last airbender live action lighting the zutara flame, I wanted to recommend to all Zutara fans to check out the webtoon comics called Subzero by Junepurr. It's a enemies to lover's, marriage of conveniences, fire and water romance that's perfect for all your zutara needs and it's honestly just a great read with royal court drama and an epic romance. And also there's dragons.🔥❤🌊

to anyone who consumes subzero (by junepurr!) fan fic at all, i'm currently writing a fic au set in modern day where the clans are gangs instead and clove and kyro have a past relationship?? O.o

Okay people I need confirmation about the Subzero Webtoon that many recommend if you are a fan of Zutara. Does Clove, the heroine, really have water and ice powers via her dragon or does she only have ice as I have seen some people say ?

Has anyone else realized that subzero on WEBTOON is basically or kinda is zutara. AHHHHhhhHHhHhh!!!!!!! I was like about to past out and sleep and then this thought came in mind and I fangirled so hard. I mean the main girl in subzero, clove lives in a country that is covered in snow and her powers of the dragon is ice and water. Her colors are blue and she’s a princess(like Katara, but she’s not a princess she’s the daughter of the chief of her village), then the main guy prince Kyro his colors are red and his dragon powers are fire and his eyes are a goldish color. No he does not have a scar but he does have a tragic backstory (same as Clove and katara) and scars in his heart. And if they have a child it would be a purple dragon( not true but the fandom mixed the couples color together and we like to call their future child that 😅) and it would have been the same for zutara if Katara didn’t end up with Aang😤☹️ and if she did end up with Zuko she would have to live with him in his palace just like Clove has to!(Kyro and Clove had an arranged marriage to stop the war between both countries) Maybe the author was not trying to, but I just think of the ship as Zutara now. They have many similarities and so far a pretty good relationship and ending, so I’ll dream that this is what could have been for zutara. Let me know if anyone else agrees with me. (Sorry for any misspelling and if I got any facts wrong, it’s been a bit since I read subzero) I definitely recommend reading Subzero on WEBTOONS 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 chefs kiss 🫠🫠🫠

Romantasy graphic novel: "Subzero" vol. 1, by Junepurrr (2024-09-24)

Do you like Zutara? Oh, you looked at the cover of this book and got interested, you KNOW you like Zutara! And this book scratches that itch so go. The princess of a small and war-torn country goes up against the prince of the highly militarized country which has been their rival for ages? In an arranged marriage? Oooooh yeah, this was good.

This isn't a world of bending, though. Instead, members of the royal bloodline can transform into dragons. Clove of the water tr...I mean...Cerulean Dragon clan is the last of her line. And she saw her mother die in front of her! And has a special keepsake from her dead mother! And she has problems controlling her power, because no one was around to teach her!

Her love interest, Kyro, breaks from Zuko script by having a good relationship with his family, but retains his personal arc of fighting not for honor, but to regain power for his family, after years of military usurpation.

Now, this is not a ripoff of Avatar. This comic takes several well-established tropes, such as red/blue romance, arranged marriage, palace intrigue, and so on, and makes a delightful romance. There's an obvious endgame, but plenty of room for a satisfying slowburn. And slow the burn must be, because this book only covers up to episode 25 on Webtoons, or about 1/10th of the current run. And I'm certainly intrigued enough to continue!

Raizo is the adopted father of Reina, a suporting character, as well as the unofficial mentor and father figure of Kyro, the male lead, and Kharis, a supporting character.

he manipulated and gaslit Kyro into thinking he was responsible for murders he had committed himself, he assaulted Kyro's wife, he is actively trying to murder Kyro's mother... as for Reina he basically blackmailed and manipulated her all her life (think "you owe me one because i didn't leave you to starve" kind of stuff) to make her do his dirty work. the list goes on

Emmaline Rose is the mother of Wallace, the antagonist.

(warning: major spoilers!) She was abusive of her son to the point that he decided to live in a virtual reality world forever rather than deal with her. Then she sent a bunch of minors into the same vr to get him out, often without explaining the full details/consequences to them. So she's a terrible parent and also just the Worst in general.

These are Kyro and Nouren from Subzero on webtoon

The best fictional men are the ones that allow themselves to be rescued by a pretty girl that could fight god and win and just. Stare at her. Blushing. In love. Because they're just like "wow. She is so strong and so beautiful I must be her wife."

And rather than being salty about it or trying to one-up her they just help her in her time of need and always try to humbly return the favour and be her ally. So rather than having the thought process of "ugh I can't believe a girl saved me :/" it's "wow I can't believe such a strong and pretty girl was willing to use her power to help me!" (The right line of thinking tbh)

ok so I took my five fave characters from different fandoms or webtoon stories (jack sparrow from pirates of the caribean, kyro from subzero, ivan from the red king, dagur from hot to train your dragon race to the edge after becoming good, and shinki from boruto.

I feel like kyro and shinki would sort of become friends, ivan,jack, and dagur would become friends, and ivan and kyro would be ok with eachother.

dagur and kyro would try to murder eachother while ivan trys to stop them, jack is trying to not get into the fight, and shinki is just watching because I mean come on this is hilarious.

kyro or shinki trys to kill jack at some point but dont succeed because the others are holding them back.

and if there’s alcohol (I hope there isn't but who knows) both ivan and jack are drunk af.

if u are apart of all of theses fandoms or at least some, I hope your amused.

I've had an idea (subzero chapter 31 and 32 spoilers)

First off, me after caving in and buying the fast pass for LO and SZ

ALSO LAST WARING FOR SPOILERS

I feel like the Grand Marshal stole the cerulean dragon form Cloves mother and killed her in the process. 

If Clove can't (refuses) to shift then, due to her not shifting, she can't really use the powers that come with shifting into the divine state.

So, I'm jumping to the conclusion that the rain/storm wasn't natural or solely for dramatic affect but instead created by the Grand Marshal to

A) scare/intimidate Clove (which worked obviously as she went running straight to Kyro)

And

B) to help lead her to the truth so that he can use it against her, it seems he's already doing that with Kyro. 

Any thoughts?

finally catching up on Subzero and IF I SPEAK ABOUT MY CERUELAN DRAGON RELEASE THEORY BEING RIGHT

The similarities are killing me:

DC: Damian + Subzero: Kyro

Both have some Chinese in their blood (Damian 1/4, Kyro 1)

They both have dark hair, piercing eyes, and tan, amazing abs

Both have been raised to be in a role of power (Damian: the Deon's Head, Kyro: Emperor)

Both are extremly arogent, and hotheaded, but are deep down really sweet and loving guys

Both treat their little sister like gold, and will kill for her in a heart beat

Both come from respected families (That requires no other explanation)

And finally, both struggle with talking to girls (Thankfully for Kyro, his sister arranged his marriage (😍))

If you haven’t read Subzero, I highly recommend it. I read up to date (134 issues) in nine days.
