— Thoughts on Kyrie Silverwings —

Silf pulled the coat around her a little tighter as she stood outside The Forgotten Knight, the snow coming down harder now. It was not so much the cold that caused the reaction, but the looming shadows and eerie darkness creeping up from between the gothic structures. As she stood waiting for her partner to arrive Silf’s ears twitched and her eyes stayed on the darkest corners of Ishgard. It had grown quite on the dark streets and the unsettling silence sprung thoughts to mind of one very particular woman she had spied once at this very spot. “How strange she seemed…” The thought popped into her head as she recalled the woman. “It was a face I’d have a hard time forgetting. Beautiful, but…like nothing I’d ever seen before.” Silf reached up to touch gingerly at her own facial markings, and her eyes narrowed. “I wonder what her tattoos were about…or…were they even tattoos? So very odd...” the thought drifted away as she saw her partner round the corner, the thoughts of the strange woman being lost to the darkness of night.

Say, ye got something on yer shoulder.. Riiight... there...” To which she flees the scene. She’s a femme fatale, wut can I say! Master of disguise! Will use your own tie to choke ya.

“I suppose we do, indeed. Kyrie Silverwings.” The woman set a small stack of coins on the table next to Amon and slid them closer to him. She chuckled under her breath and brushed away the hair from her face. “A pleasure to meet you, Amon. I hope the comment wasn’t too rude; I meant it as idle observation, though I much agree with you.”

She remained standing, leaning against the table to allow a few people to shuffle by the two of them. Kyrie’s fingers played with the ribbon on her jacket, nails brushing against the velvet cloth. “Many strange things follow you, Amon. I could not help but take notice. Your travels…” Her green eyes cast over him calmly. “I hope they go well. I wish you good fortune on the roads. Perhaps we’ll meet again when you visit here.”

“Kyrie. Lovely name,” Amon complemented with a tilt of his head as the woman unexpectedly placed coin on the table. He covered it with one hand, accepting the gift. “Thank you, kindly.” 

It was easier to accept monetary kindness while playing, but he was getting used to doing so face-to-face after a performance, as well. He thought this was merely a show of appreciation for his music, until she followed it with something that took him a little off guard. 

“Strange things following me?” the Bard echoed with slight concern. 

Had she been observing him? And if so, what was it she’d noticed? Still, her exchange seemed genuine in her well wishes, so he shook the unease off with a bright smile. 

“Bards are ever the magnet to unusual happenstance, my lady,” Amon told her with a hint of laughter to his voice. “'Tis what makes for the best stories, aye? Indeed we shall meet again if ‘tis story or song you seek!”

Seo usually loved parties. The feeling she got being surrounded by people she knew, all celebrating joyously with wide smiles and gay laughter. Alas, her viewpoint of parties and banquents changed ever since the happenings in Ul'dah... not to mention she knew not a soul at this gathering. She had been invited by someone she knew, yes, but she could not find them for the life of her. All she could do now was cower in a corner and gently lap at her wine. She focused her sights on anyone and everyone, gazing like a bored child. At last, she found someone she couldn't tear her eyes away from.

A beautiful woman-- 'hem, one she assumed was beautiful --clad in a red silk that shined with every shift in movement. Simply from her attire was Seo intrigued, leaning slightly closer before finally moving from her corner. She approached slowly, examining the lady further whilst hiding behind the large bouquet. The more she gazed, the more she found herself drawn in. A hand lay gently upon her chest, her mouth slightly ajar and eyes wide with curiosity. There was something about this woman... A Hyur, perhaps? She had no visible ears from where Seo was standing. Maybe that meant Seo should introduce herself and get a closer look?

As if being given a wordless answer to both her queries, the two women's gazes met, with the white-haired woman brushing said locks behind her ear. Although it was more like a mother catching her spawn with their hand in the biscuit tin... Seo instinctively hid herself further before getting the courage to step out fully, hand still clasped over her heart. With every step, however, her other hand would join its sibling -- creating a look of anxious innocence for Seo. She stopped before the Hyuran, softly bowing her head and avoiding the other's eyes as she spoke. Gods, was she so anxious because she knew no one here...? "He-- llo..."

♣: What’s your muse’s biggest cause of stress or anxiety?

Herself. 

Honestly a lot of it is that she’s become increasingly self-conscious and self-critical as of late where it feels like she is nowhere near as capable as she used to be. It makes it harder to go out and mingle even though she still tries. With regards to her physical state, she’ll try to play it off, but how others could take learning what has gone on really eats at her even if it’s a giant ‘what if’. It’s a slow process that she is working on.
