okay so while i work on chapter 2 (I'm so sorry its late I'm a highschool senior with 4 ap classes, 2 gifted classes, and insomnia. I'm trying my best i swear) I'm going to give out some content and stuff like things to expect in the fic

this is friendships/relationships that will kage will experience with small explanations :D (these are out of order)

lev & kage - ok so I plan on having miwa and alisa get together so i find it funny if they were awkward but lev immediately attaches to kage and they're like brothers

akaashi & kage & kenma - ok so they're all introverted and i know kenma and akaashi are cool but like i can see akaashi realize kage is mean or angry just really awkward and weird at times so he recommends him to join his and kenma's game nights and one Minecraft world later they're all attached at the hip

atsumu & osamu & kage - originally i think atsu and kage have a rivalry and mutual respect for each other until atsu realizes samu and kage are good friends (bc kage is always eating samu's curry rice balls, he has become samu unofficial food tester lol) and atsu is obvi trying to be the better twin so they end up getting closer at setters like a more equal standing unlike oikawa & kage or suag & kage who were mentors (in a way looking at you sideways oikawa bc your teaching methods were ... interesting [don't misintterupt this i love oikawa])

ushijima & kage - ok so they're both autistic, you'd have to rip that headcannon out my dead cold hands, and i can see ushijima watching kage and realizing 'oh he is like me' and they just connect like bluetooth

kyotani & kage - i actually love them bc they're both similar to me (i also find oikawa and kyotani's relationship interesting as he is in personality and raw talent and skill similar to kage and ik oikawa felt threatened cb kage was a setter but him moving along with you after the kitagawa incident is very interesting tbh) anyways i imagine they'd accidently connect like at the same gym and bond by shitting on oikawa (i imagine he'd want to hit some of kage's kingly tosses too)

yachi & kage - wlw & mlm solidarity, i love them sm, yachi realizing after seeing kage awkwardly attempt to pet a cat that he is really cute but in a sibling or little kid way so she can no longer find him scary but gets protective and explains social situations for him when he doesn't understand

kage & tsuki - so i stand by the fact kage is smart but in odd strangely specific ways like physics but not general science and math and tsuki finds out and loses his shit bc kage is lowkey better than him but doesn't do anything with this, this kinda begins their actual friendship tho bc kage gets to talk about physics (esp astrophysic his favorite bc his dad's job [a personal headcannon])

kogane & kage - kogane worshipping the ground kage walks on bc he is such a good setter and kage trying to help teach kogane but he isn't good with words but despite this kogane understands him somehow!?

For more context: manager is the type of person to have fights with random thugs on the street at night so her knuckles are always bandaged, they're also the type of person to hang out with other delinquents too

🦅 You were one of the few students who lived close enough that you didn’t need to live on campus, though the team did realise that you didn’t seem to have any friends apart from them. 🦅 They had no idea until you were late for morning practice for the first time, you came in with bandaged fists and if they could see your body they’d see bruises littering it. 🦅 You never actually had a fight on the school grounds so they were all a little confused but Semi was the only one to voice that.

“There you are! Where have you been?” Tendo asked as you walked into the gym, you waved your hand at him as Semi who was standing next to you caught your wrist. “Why are your hands all bandaged up?” Semi asked. “Someone ran into my fist.” You mumbled as you got out the stuff that you needed to talk them through their next couple of practice matches. “Someone ran into your fist?” Semi asked. “Did they not see you?” Ushijima asked, the fact that you knew he wasn’t joking was what ultimately broke you, you laughed as you looked at all of them. “Don’t worry it was just an altercation on the way home yesterday after practice, I had to teach someone a lesson.” “Teach someone a lesson?” Goshiki was the one to ask this time. “I punched someone in the face.” You finally said and they all looked at you with varying degrees of shock and pride. “Wow, didn't know you had it in you.” Tendo wrapped an arm around your shoulder as he turned both of you to look at the rest of the team. “Yeah, yeah now let's get back to training.” You ordered them all off.

🦅 Tendo would often ask you to bandage his fingers for him, mostly because he didn’t want to do it himself. 🦅 You always had a heat pack or cool pack in your bag for any injury. 🦅 As you got to know the team more you stood up for them more people who said anything about Tendo usually ended up on the ass. 🦅 You hyped up Goshiki, calmed down Shirabu and Semi on a number of different occasions and when insults went straight over Ushijima’s head you got angry for him. 🦅 They’ve had to hold you back on a few times when they played matches at other schools however there was one time that they were all blind sided and it was at a match with Aoba Josai.

“What the hell are you doing here?” You recognised that voice, the grumpy hostility was familiar to you. Kyotani. “What’s it to you?” You asked as you turned to look at him. Your team was on edge the moment that you started talking to him. “You don’t own this place.” “Excuse me?” He asked, they all noticed the way that his hand curl into fists. “Oh if it isn’t Shiratorizawa’s manager.” Oikawa teased as he walked over. “You answer to this idiot now?” You asked. “Not really.” Kyotani answered. “I didn’t think so.” You smirked and he rolled his eyes, both of you lifting your fists and bumping your arms together in greeting before finally letting a smile grace your features. “Let's make this a little more interesting, yeah?” “What are you thinking?” He asked. “Well all you have to do is stop Ushijima’s serve and you can have whatever you want.” You suggested. “And if I lose?” He asked. “If you lose then you’ll be my partner in my next fight.” You said and he smirked as he looked at the court where Ushijima was warming up. “Deal.” He said putting his hand out for you to shake, you shook his hand. “Why would you give the kid such an impossible task?” Tendo asked and you looked at him and rolled his eyes. “It’s not impossible, he’s just not going to do it today.” You mumbled as you stretched your arms “not go and warm up, you’ve got physic powers to use.” “Yes ma’am.” He smirked. “Don’t call me that!” You called after him. “Fine, how does little delinquent sound?” He asked. “Better now get going.” You ordered.

🦅 Overall you were pretty good at hiding what you got up to outside of school because you’d be thrown out if anyone found out. 🦅 The boys were on the most part good at keeping your secret though sometimes even you let it slip.

Inarizaki

🦊 The signs were there from the moment you joined as their manager but they all messed them, they were either to dumb to figure it out (Atsumu) or honestly didn’t care (Suna, Osamu). 🦊 Kita was rarely there when things happened but he would always see the best in you no matter what he saw you do. You were just a young trouble maker to him. 🦊 Aran might have been the only one that actually figured out what was going on with you but he never asked though. 🦊 You would often be one of the most common reasons for the twins fighting because most of the time they had managed to get on your nerves beforehand, you would tell one of them that the other had said something about them and fighting would ensue.

Atsumu had decided to be particularly annoying that day and argue with literally everything that you said so that was why you were sitting next to Osamu who was tying his shoes “you know I heard you brother saying somethings, you better go sort him out otherwise people are going to start thinking he’s the better twin.” You teased, you saw Osamu’s hands freeze before he looked at you. “What are you talking about?” Osamu asked. “I think he’s claiming to be the best cook around or something. Some girl saw his lunch. I assume you must have made it.” You watched him stand and walked over to his brother who was in fact talking to some girl, the fighting that followed was loud and Kita eventually came over to stop them.

🦊 Suna recorded the fight which you watched later and then gave them both pointers on how to fight better, you had to literally teach Atsumu how to punch properly. 🦊 Honestly don’t know how they didn’t get it from that alone. 🦊 One day at practice Suna ended up getting hit in the fact pretty bad and his eyebrow split but you were the one that patched him up, they were all confused as to why you were able to do all of that. 🦊 They asked how you knew how to do that and you told them life experience and still none of them connected the dots. 🦊 You tried to keep you personal life away from them but there were times when it crossed over, mostly when you met other schools in practice matches or actual games and Aran would almost always be pulling you away from whatever fight someone else had started. 🦊 There was however one time that you were all walking back from a restaurant when you were cornered by some thugs.

“There you are! We thought that you were avoiding us or something.” He smirked as you looked at him and you rolled your eyes, you dropped your bag to the floor before tying your hair up, next to go was your blazer. “Hey (Y/N) what’cha doin’?” Atsumu asked. “Don’t worry about it.” You answered, taking the knuckle dusters out of your jacket pocket before dropping it to the floor. “How have we never found those in there?” You heard Atsumu whisper and you just chuckle before diving forward and attacking the guy closest to you. They watched as you effortlessly took out the first guy who seemed too big for you to take down on your own. They watched as the men fell one by one, you didn’t come away unscathed but everytime they stepped forward to help, you told them not to so they waited for you to be done and when you were they rushed over checking you over properly. “Are you okay?” Kita asked as he turned your head to get a better look at the injury there, he seemed to relax when he saw that all the injuries were relatively simple fixes. “Nothing too bad, we just need to wrap your knuckles and put a plaster over your eyebrow.” “Oh don’t worry about that, I can do that when I get home.” You waved them off but Atsumu was the one to catch your wrists and swiftly wrap your hands while Kita put a plaster on your forehead. They all insisted on walking you home that night before going home themselves but demanded an explanation as they did and honestly they all wondered how they had managed to let it slip past them for so long.

Alright here's the Second years. I want to eventually get Watari in here, but I am having a hard time. Not beta'd. Anyways I'll have the first years up next. Also I read this headcannon that Kyotani feeds the stray dogs, and it just stuck with me????

Seijoh: 3rd years

Karasuno: 3rd years, 2nd years, 1st years

Yahaba: Your mom had asked you to bring a cooking book to your cousin, Kindaichi Yutaro. While you go to Karasuno, your cousin goes to Seijoh, meaning it doesn’t take that long for you to get to their school. When you get off the bus and step onto the Seijoh campus, you are immediately at a loss. You turn in a circle hoping that there will magically be an arrow that points to the gym he’s at. Unfortunately there isn’t.

“Do you need help?” A tall boy with brown swishy hair asks as he walks up to you.

“Uh, yeah actually. I’m a little lost. I’m trying to find a gym?” It sounded more like a question.

“You don’t go here do you?” He asks in a gentler tone, only continuing when you nodded. “We have a few different gyms. Is there someone in particular you’re looking for?”

“Um, just my cousin. He’s in the Volleyball Club.”

“Oh me too. Here I can show you the way to the gym.” He was smiling and beckoning you to follow him. “By the way, who's your cousin?”

“Oh, Kindaichi Yutaro. I just have to drop something off for my aunt.”

“Kindaichi?!” He seemed surprised by that.

“Is there something wrong with that? Do you not like him?” You were a little taken back by his tone, but the look on his face said something different.

“Oh, nothing. Nothing. I just wasn’t expecting him to have such a cute cousin.” You spluttered at the compliment. He continued to flirt with you the rest of the way to the gym. You were originally planning on just dropping it off, but were convinced to stay by your cousin. Being able to watch and talk to Yahaba was just a plus. When their practise finished you spend time talking to Yahaba, while waiting for Yu. By the time he was done and ready to walk with you, you had gotten Yahaba’s number. You two ended up talking everyday, hanging out on the weekends, and eventually began dating.

You were curled up with Yahaba on his bed with music in the background, talking about anything and everything. However, today he’s been unusually quiet.

“‘Ru, is everything okay?” HE hummed absently as his fingers danced up and down your arms. “You’ve been awfully quiet ‘Ru. Is there anything you want to talk about?” He stayed silent for a little while longer, before tightening his grip on your arm.

“It’s just that we have a practise game against Karasuno.” He paused, “I guess I'm just nervous, you know from the way things turned out last time. I just-I’m just nervous.”

“Aw babe. It’ll turn out alright in the end.” You paused trying to decide whether to speak your thoughts or not. Finally you decided, “Well if it makes you feel any better I’ll be there.”

“You’re coming, why?”

“Well you see it’s because…” you paused, now realising the weight of the words held hostage on your tongue. Quickly you decided that now was not the best time to tell him that you’re one of Karasuno’s managers. “Kindaichi invited me and I’m going over to his house after to spend time with him and my aunt.”

“Oh that’s good. Makes me feel better about playing.” He smiled and tugged you closer to him, shoving his face into your neck, placing soft kisses and quiet ‘I love you’s’.

You were shaking with nerves, just trying to keep your head about you. Shigeru is not an unreasonable person, he would understand. He wouldn’t be angry, maybe a little upset, definitely confused, but not angry. You were standing next to Kiyoko, when a ball rolled under the net.

“Hey, Cutie-chan, a little help.” You grabbed the ball and turned to your boyfriend with a sigh.

“Does that ever-”

“Y/N!!” Next thing you know you’re flat on your back and staring at the ceiling. ‘Even their ceilings are nice’, you think. Your head starts throbbing and your view of the ceiling is crowded with players from both teams. “Are you okay?”

“You better not be using that line on anyone else ‘Ru.” You said ignoring his question and sitting up. Everyone looked so worried, “Guys I’m fine. You don’t need to crowd me. Finish getting warmed up. I’d like to talk to ‘Ru anyway.”

“Who?” Kidaichi asked.

“Him. My boyfriend.” You said pointing to your boyfriend. Kindiachi looked pissed, but walked away with everyone else anyway.

“Baby, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for you to get hit.” You laughed.

“It’s fine, just surprised is all.”

“Why are you wearing their colours?” He asked helpling you stand up and pulling at your track clothes.

“Uh, well you see, I’m their manager. It’s a new development, and knowing how you feel about my team, I didn’t feel like I could tell you. I’m sorry.” You looked down feeling guilty.

“Baby, it’s alright. I’m not mad.” He pauses, “Are you still going to cheer for me?”

“Of course babe.” You said cupping his face and pulling him into a kiss. “I’m staying the night at Yu’s, so we can do something tomorrow, yeah?

“Yeah and we can talk more about this manager thing. I’ve got to go though. Are you sure you’re okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Now go! I love you. I’ll cheer for you.” You stood letting him give you one last once over to really make sure you're okay.

Don’t worry though, you’re the only one who he uses that line on.

Kyotani: You spend time volunteering at the animal shelter. You mostly spent time with the dogs, particularly feeding and playing with them. One day you saw another kid there, a boy, around your age. He was heading into a kennel with a particularly tough dog that you haven’t been able to get close to. You watched him go in without fear, despite the snarls and growls coming from the dog. You stopped and watched impressed. The next few times you went to the animal shelter, this boy was there.

This last time you went, you were trying to feed this one dog, and he snapped at you. You jerked your hand back, barely getting grazed by the dog’s sharp canines. The dog lunged again, and you backed into the wall. Your hand was groping behind you trying to find the door, when you were yanked up and just out of the reach of the dog. The dog had decided to lunge, and you had just been saved. The boy who saved you, grabbed the dog by the nape of the neck and had a stare down. The dog finally looked away, meaning that this strange boy is the alpha. He quickly closed the door and turned to you, who’s still sitting on the ground.

When he turned, you really got a good look at him. He has blond hair, with two brown stripes wrapping around his head. His eyes can only be described as intense, but show passion and care.

“Are you okay?” He asked, holding his hand out. You stared at him confused. “Your hand.”

“O-oh.” Is all you could manage, sticking it out as he kneeled down. The dog had grazed you with its teeth leaving a scratch behind.

“Come on. We’ll get this cleaned.” He gripped your hand and hauled you up. He led you to the office and pushed you to sit on the desk. You watched as he got the first aid kit. He gently grabbed your arm, cleaned, and bandaged the scratch.

“Thank you.” You broke the silence, “Um, can I get a name to go with the face that saved me?”

“Kyotani.” He grunted.

“I’m Y/n.” You two didn’t talk anymore that day. As the two of you saw each other more and more eventually you considered him a friend. He finally confessed to you. It was awkward, and it took him ten minutes to get it out. You almost wanted to end his misery, but you thought he looked really cute blushing and stuttering, so you waited. And now you’re dating.

“How was school today?” When the words finished leaving your mouth, his arms tightened and he shoved his face further into your neck. He mumbled incoherently, but you understood the gist of it. “It couldn’t have been that bad?”

“I don't know what it is, but Oikawa just gets on my nerves. Thankfully, Iwaizumi is there to help reign him in.” He sighed pulling his head from your neck, “I’m just glad I’m with you now.” You giggled reaching behind you to cup the back of his head.

“And yet you still play.” You paused, lowering your hand and turning around. “I think you like them more than you let on.” He practically growled at being called out, but you just laughed. You pulled him with you to the couch to cuddle. You two were sitting in silence when he broke it.

“We have a game against Karasuno next week, and, well I’d really like for you, you don’t have to if you don’t want, I don’t want you to feel pressured-” You covered his mouth with one hand, intertwining your fingers with the other.

“I’d love to go. You don’t need to worry so much. Are you excited?” He began to grumble about how much he hates Karasuno, practically spitting the name everytime he says it. With the way he was talking, you know he’d be upset. An upset Kentaro is a pouty clingy boy, but not one that yells and fights. Thankfully you two don’t really fight, he knows how abrasive he can be, and tries to be the absolute opposite with you. He knows when to be gentle, and always is with you. He refuses to yell or be mean when there’s a disagreement. You felt a little guilty about not telling him you’re Karasuno’s manager, but you figured he’d find out soon enough.

You were one of the first ones in the gym, and as soon as you cleared the doorway, you were pulled back by Tanaka. A rather powerful ball landed right in the spot you were just standing in.

“Ahhh!” You yelped, everyone turned towards you. “Oh my, Tanaka! Thank you so-” You were silenced as a low growl sounded, and you were yanked away.

“I told you to apologise! Not assault the poor girl!” Number 4 shouted heading your way. You laughed as Kentaro shoved his face into your neck to hide his blush.

“Iwaizumi?” You questioned, raising your eyebrow when number 4 nodded. “Thought so. Don’t worry, I’m fine. He’s just a little jealous.” You cooed. Iwa stopped in his tracks, confused. “Let me introduce myself, I’m Y/N, ‘Taro’s S/o.” He grumbled pulling himself away from your neck.

“You didn’t tell me.”

“You hate my team, don't want you to hate me or be upset.”

“I’d never hate you.” You smiled and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

“Good, ‘cause this would be awkward,” you paused, “Okay now I’ll stop embarrassing you, but you have to play your best. That way when we kick your ass, my bragging rights will feel even better.” He flicked your forehead and headed to his side of the net, waiting for his bragging rights.
