Something that just occurred to me.

You know how Kyoko and Mami have both kind of adopted kids as surrogate daughters/little sisters?

You know how Kyoko and Mami are basically exes who parted on bad terms but later repaired their relationship?

You know how Kyoko is basically homeless while Mami has a big empty apartment and is really lonely?

Surely I need not have to draw a diagram.

Then later, they can rope in Sayaka! Because what better way to get over heartbreak than to have your bi awakening and join in a domestic lesbian polycule with your mentor and your former rival that you had a lot of really homoerotic tension with? They're probably the reason that she figured out that she was bi in the first place!

Hmmm, poly quintet is quite often focused on either Madoka or Homura, which isn't like bad, fair enough considering how they're the driving force of the plot, so, how about shaking It up slightly

Kyoko first because she deserves it duh

Mami is the first one to fall, their time together spent training, hanging out, doing homework

Mami doesn't notice that she fell in love until they separated, until Kyoko's parents died and they fell out, doesn't notice until she's gone, it's a constant heart ache, constant desire to go, knowing she's only a city away, shes not physically far

But Mami finds herself hesitating every time, finds herself feeling afraid of doing so

She keeps her feelings to herself, clasping them and not letting go

The second to fall is Sayaka, neither realize it until they stare at each other's eyes

Sayaka feels herself falling all too fast and all to slow at the same time, growing fonder of the girl, growing more conflicted over her ideas for magical girls

They fight a lot, their views too different, yet they continue to pull each other closer and closer each day

Paradoxically, Homura is also the second one to fall, it takes her dozen of loops before she realizes her love extends past one person, that it burns at the same intensity

She tries to deny it, ignores every blush she feels grow on her when they come in contact, ignores the swelling of happiness whenever they're together, ignores the giddiness she feels when Kyoko laughs with her

She crumbles at some point, indulging in her love, extending her protection further

Her job got harder, but it would all be worth it in the end

Madoka is the third(fourth) one to fall

It's not something grand, not something heavy, it's a light love that lights up her day, it's love that sparked from their rare interactions, it's love that's warm, a sunny day in autumn, a beautiful lovely day that gets better when they're together
