The remaining players further added another 31 runs on the board before Delhi wrapped up its innings for 66 runs. This would be Delhi's lowest ever team total in IPL. It was also the 2nd lowest team total in the 2017 edition of IPL. Lendl Simmons for his 63 was named the Player of the Match.As mentioned in the beginning, the 2009 IPL saw just one instance of a team scoring below 100 runs in an innings and that unwanted distinction went to Rajasthan Royals. They are the second most successful team in the history of the IPL, behind Mumbai Indians, who have won the title four times. The 2020 season however has not been kind to the yellow brigade. Out of the 10 matches they have played so far, MS Dhoni‘s team have managed to win just 3. The 7 wicket loss against the Rajasthan Royals on Monday was their 7th loss this season. Remember last season in 2019, the top three teams, MI, CSK and DC were all on 18 points at the end of the league stage and the fourth team to make the play-offs was Sunrisers Hyderabad with 12 points, barely piping KKR and KXIP who both had 12 points, but a worse NRR than SRH.

WILL CSK MAKE WHOLESALE CHANGES TO THEIR PLAYING XI? This is the million dollar question that no one has an answer to. CSK traditionally have been a team which doesn’t like to chop and change too much. But this time, with their backs to the wall, they might have to. In the top 10 run getters of the season so far, CSK have only one batsman (Faf du Plessis with 375 runs in 10 matches).
