“She was so young and so terrified. The girl didn’t understand why she was there and she couldn’t understand what was being said to her. So this woman Kapo (a prisoner overseer) took a stick and beat her about the face. This German woman was just taking out her anger on the girl. Such a beautiful young girl, so innocent. She cried but she could do nothing. Before the photograph was taken, the girl dried her tears and the blood from the cut on her lip. To tell you the truth, I felt as if I was being hit myself but I couldn’t interfere. It would have been fatal for me.”
– Wilhelm Brasse
Wilhelm photographed fourteen year old Czeslawa Kwoka, a Polish Catholic girl who was sent to Auschwitz with her mother. She and her mother both died within three months.

05.07.24 UTRZYMANIE WAG1 dzień 491 ważenie
Limit +/- 2100 kcal.
Wybrane posiłki:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Waga sprzed dwóch tygodni i dziś (177cm)
Tumblr media
Aktualizacja w poście przypiętym i opisie bloga
***
Dziś druga dniówka w robocie. A dzień pełen wrażeń.
***
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A to czyste zło... 😄.

Tumblr media Tumblr media

Polish victims of Nazi Germany falsely portrayed as Jews (yet again)…. While lecturing people about antisemitism and the holocaust, a Twitter user who calls himself "Oli London" illustrated his post with photographs of four child victims of Nazi Germany, none of whom were Jewish.
The pictures on the top row are of two Polish slavic victims of Auschwitz, and the girl on the right is well known - her name was Czesława Kwoka, she was deported to the camp in December 1942 and murdered on 12th March 1943 with a phenol injection to her heart.
The bottom two pictures show Polish slavic victims of Kinder-KZ Litzmannstadt, a concentration camp created by the Germans specifically for Polish slavic children.
Given that there's no shortage of photos showing actual Jewish victims of the Nazis, it's amazing how this well-intentioned but typically ignorant "social media expert" managed to get it wrong four times out of four….

‘Lessons from Auschwitz’ is a project I took part in near the end of March, and it was a journey where an organisation took a group of students to Auschwitz-Birkenau to bear witness to the horrors that happened during the years when the Holocaust took place. Throughout the project, we were urged to understand it as something that occurred to individuals, rather than statistics, that dehumanise the people who went through these concentration and death camps.
For my response to this project, I created a piece of art to show my understanding of what I learnt, as well as a way to share this with as many people as I can.
Tumblr media
In this image, I have painted four victims of the Holocaust above a landscape depicting the polish town Oswiecim before the Holocaust. The town is found near the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps, and before the Holocaust, it housed a population that was 60% Jewish. Now, there are no Jewish families living there.
The red colour of the painting represents the urgency in which the information about the Holocaust should be shared. As survivors decrease in number, we need to continue to remember this terrible event that happened in History, so that it never happens again.
The second portrait is of a 14-year-old girl named Czeslawa Kwoka, one of many children murdered by the Nazi regime. When the picture I used for reference was taken, she was beaten up by the guard instructing her on what to do because she did not understand the language that they were speaking. Czeslawa died one year after the picture was taken, in 1943, soon after her mother. They were a Polish family deported from their village to create living-space for Germans.
With the increase in extremism in today’s world, it is very important to remember events such as the murder of people like Czeslawa, understand that every person was an individual, and make sure we prevent future genocides.

This photograph is of a young Polish girl, Czeslawa Kwoka, one of the hundreds of thousands of children murdered by the Nazi regime during World War 2. This record of her arrival at the Auschwitz extermination camp in December 1942 shows a frightened-looking girl with coarse-cut hair and a wounded lip, an injury caused by a guard just moments before being photographed.
Kwoka, who was not Jewish, was deported from the Zamosc region of southeastern Poland to Auschwitz. She arrived in the Nazi camp on December 13, 1942 along with 318 other women, including her mother, Katarzyna, who would die two months later. The 14-year-old girl was murdered on March 12, 1943 with a lethal injection into the heart. The red triangle on her identification badge indicates she was a political prisoner, and carried the letter P, for Polish.
The man who photographed her, Auschwitz survivor Wilhelm Brasse, said the girl had been beaten by a guard who was annoyed because she did not speak German. He also related that, just before he took the photograph, she wiped away her tears and the blood from her split lip, prior to facing the camera. Besides Jews, Christian citizens of Poland were also persecuted by Nazi Germany. It is estimated that the regime was responsible for the deaths of at least 1.9 million non-Jewish Poles during World War II, whether in battles or extermination camps.
The original black and white photograph has been colourised by Brazilian artist Marina Amaral. She is now working with the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum to provide further colourised images from their archives. This process lends an enormous impact on the image, both in terms of quality and emotional impact. This with the anecdote from the photographer makes you realise that Czeslawa, terrified as she must have been, had a more than a bit of defiant pride. The sheer scale of the Nazi death camp legacy cannot be adequately portrayed or conveyed; instead this one instance talks of that unspeakable inhumane spirit within those who carried out these atrocities. But in all but those hatred-filled, hard-hearted excuses for human beings that we seem, still, to have far too many examples of, the image provokes a compassion for this dear flower who was not allowed to blossom; and believer or non-believer, a hope that her soul, at least, escaped that hell on earth where her life was taken from her.

27 stycznia, Międzynarodowy Dzień Pamięci o Ofiarach Holokaustu #Herstoria Czesława Kwoka
Marina Amaral @marinamaral2, brazylijska artystka specjalizująca się w koloryzacji czarno-białych zdjęć, wykonała kolorową wersję rejestracyjnej fotografii Czesławy Kwoki.
Zanim zdjęcie zostało zrobione, otarła łzy z twarzy i krew z rozciętych ust - mówił wówczas.
Czesława Kwoka trafiła do obozu koncentracyjnego Auschwitz-Birkenau razem z matką, Katarzyną Kwoką. Dziewczynka została zabita zastrzykiem fenolu 12 marca 1943 roku. Wcześniej w obozie zmarła jej matka.

What horrors humans has done to humans. Unspeakable terrors have been committed on many millions of innocent victims. Looking at Czeslawa Kwoka’s innocent face and knowing her heinous fate conveys pain to the heart. With a cracking voice, you ask yourself, why? And, how can anyone do this sort of thing? It’s a long time ago, yes, but it’s still an unspeakable terror that was committed to an innocent child … and many millions of others. This knows no statute of limitations. Horror is horror and terror is terror, for all times to come. Indeed, as terrible as it was, many still have lost the bitter lessons learned from yesteryear. The phrase “Never Again” now rings hollow, as another evil has arisen. Although now in the 21st century and in another country, this entity has, is, and will be committing unspeakable crimes against humanity. This entity is, of course, the russian federation, and it commits murder, rape, it tortures, loots, and it destroys wantonly. And, like the previous wicked creature, Adolf Hitler, who murdered poor Czeslawa Kwoka and her family and millions of others, had his supporters and fans, this new demon, Vlad Putin, also has his, with such creatures as Trump, Carlson, Gaetz, Taylor-Greene, Schröder, Merkel, Sarkozy, Orban, Finco and many others, who are clearly siding with him. I spit out in disgust of them and their despicable ilk, and hope to God our paths will never cross.

Młodzieżowe marzenia do spełnienia
Na foodbooku specjalnie umieściłam "przekąski" (choć mam ciekawsze dania do pokazania) żebyście widzieli czym kombinuje by ten limit osiągać.
***
Tumblr media
Dobrej nocy wam życzę!
Pogodynka pokazuje mi zmianę pogody i opady śniegu. Może jest jeszcze szansa na białą zimę. 🙏❄️🌨️

Blog Post 1
My name is Kanon. My pronouns are he/him. I was born and raised in Redmond Washington. I like to spend my free time hanging out with my friends, girlfriend, and working on either my car or someone else's car.
I love cars. Specifically old school Toyotas (70s-80s). I personally own a 1982 Toyota Celica Supra P type in a 5 speed manual. This car is 100% my favorite thing I own. I love driving it and love working on it.
I have always struggled with reading and writing. I have ADHD, dyslexia, and dysgraphia making it even harder. I know I am able to make decent pieces of writing, but not consistently.
English is my first language.
I am very comfortable with technology. But sometimes I cant figure things out.
I have used office 365 for all of my schooling up to this point. So I am very comfortable with using word.
I will try my hardest to raise my hand and answer questions. But I have trouble with processing information. I need more time then most of my peers. I would appreciate it if I was not called on in class with out giving me some time to think. Getting put on the spot makes me shut down and not be able to think. Thanks.
That is all and I am excited to learn lots in your class.
-Kanon Kwoka
