Running Man | Lee Daeyeol

           This was not how you were expecting your day to go. When your manager had told you and Seokyung, a member of your group Eclipse, that the two of you were going to be guests on the show Running Man, you had imagined you guys running around doing ridiculous missions; and yes, that’s exactly what you did that day, except you didn’t imagine yourself being teased the whole entire day. All because of a certain person.

           In actuality, you couldn’t even shift the blame onto Daeyeol. It’s not his fault that HaHa, a senior that you happened to be close with, assumed that something was going between the two of you, which led to the other members and even Bomin and Seokyung to tease the two of you the whole day.

           It started during the introduction of the show, when your respective groups were introduced. You and Daeyeol were standing next to one another when HaHa had made a passing comment about the two of you looking good together. “Y/n & Daeyeol, you two look good next to each other.” The two of you make eye contact with one another and look away, feeling embarrassed.

           “HaHa, you can’t just say that.” Jaeseok scolded him.

           “But look at them,” he says motioning to the two of you, “You can’t say that I’m wrong.” From your side, you feel Seokyung playfully elbow you, causing you to bump into Daeyeol. He does nothing but give you a warm smile. “Look! Did you guys see that? Ey, is there something going on between the two of you?”

           Quickly, you shake your head, “No, this is the first time we’ve talked to each other, aside from greeting each other at music shows.”

           Squinting his eyes at you, suspicious of the two of you, HaHa says, “I’m watching you two.”

           When the 12 of you traveled to your second destination, the others had forced you to sit next to Daeyeol because you had been the last one on the bus and the seat next to him was the only one open. Once the bus had broken out into playful banter, you had pulled out some candy jellies that you had brought with you. Noticing Daeyeol’s stare on the candies in your hand, you offer him one. This action doesn’t go unnoticed by Jaeseok, who says aloud to the others, “Yah, it’s like these two are on an elementary date.” Of course, his comment has the two of your smiling from embarrassment.

           “Daeyeol, Y/n or Somin?” HaHa randomly asks him. It was common for the members to asks these types of questions, truly wanting to know who people would pick.

           “Y/n.” Response causes for the bus to erupt into cheers. You find their reactions ridiculous, but you can’t say they you didn’t like his response. “Okay, now Jihyo or Y/n? 1, 2, 3!” This time he says your name again. From behind him, Jongkook starts playfully shaking him around, “Yah, is Y/n the only thing in your mind?”

           “Okay, okay,” Jaeseok starts, “Y/n, it’s your turn, Kwangsoo or Daeyeol?”

           “Yah! How could you put me up against him?” says Kwangsoo.

           Before they even do a countdown, you respond, “Daeyeol,” and of course this causes for more cheers. “You guys, I think this is going to be the first time a couple was created here on Running Man!”

           From beside you, you thought you heard Daeyeol mumble under his breath, “Hopefully,” but you weren’t sure if you were just hearing things, so you chose to stay silent.

           After the final mission of the day, it was time to announce those who were receiving the penalty. It ended up being you, Seokyung, and Somin.  Before the three of you could be drenched with water, Daeyeol had stepped up and said, “Wait, I’ll take the penalty for Y/n.” His words shocked you, but made the others go crazy. “Yah, Y/n! If you don’t date him, I will!” HaHa screamed. You try to tell Daeyeol that he didn’t need to step in, but he refused to listen to you. Stepping up to take your punishment, Daeyeol braces himself to get splashed by the water cannon. When the water comes down on them, you instantly run up to Daeyeol and hand him a towel, which he gladly takes.

           Not being able to say anything else to him, you guys close out the show, and once filming had ended, you had told your manager and Seokyung to wait for you. Walking up to Daeyeol, you thank him for earlier, “Thank you, but you really didn’t need to do that for me.”

           “It’s fine, I needed to cool down anyways,” Daeyeol says, giving you a smile that leaves your heart fluttering.

           Before you could stop yourself, you blurt out, “Let me make it up to you at least.”

           “I think I know a way you can make it up to me.” You look at him curiously, waiting for his response, “You could give me your number, at least if you want to of course. I’m not trying to force you to do something you don’t want to.”

           Smiling at his directness, you respond, “I think I can do that.”

The episode that took the Couple Race theme welcome the arrival of many beautiful and cute guest stars. One of them is Jeon Somin who will then become the latest member of Running Man. Just as in Episode 224 where Kwangsoo and Somin became a couple, this episode both of them also became it too. But as predicted, rather than a romantic moment this couple show a lot of betrayal moment that will make us laugh our *ss off. Kwangsoo who had been known as a good traitor and schemer got betrayed by Somin, twice.

Episode 334 is Kim Jongkook Week. Where the Running Man members have to help Jongkook while he is having a romantic date with a girl. They also perform various games that will help determine the fate of Jongkook blind date trip. The concept is really touching and easy to “digest” and such romance is needed for the vivid viewer of Running Man, since the Monday Couple have separated, the romance was so lacking throughout the episodes, this particular episode at least give us a break and add more dynamic toward the concept of member’s week.

In the episode of this new year’s edition, the Running Man members are getting their prediction about their lives in 2017. Not only that, their health is also checked through the condition of their eyes. This is the usual concept that has been repeated like two or three times before, the funny part of these New Year episodes is when the members get the answer about their luck for that year which of course varied. This is also the first time Song Jihyo and Kim Jongkook is coupled in a romantic way.

What I like the most from this episode is the adaptability of the members of Super Junior which make even a simple game hugely interesting. Super Junior and Red Velvet became Guest in episode 376. Not only they did come in complete personnel. It turns out that one of the members of Suju, Eunhyuk is a friend from the same elementary school as Jeon Somin. There are also a lot of funny stories between them. The closeness of Somin and Eunhyuk make Donghae jealous and this kind spark is what keeps this episode interesting.

Running Man once again took the theme of Couple Race but this time with much more guest. There’s even an extra 2 male guest, Jo Se-ho and Sung Hoon. Meaning there are 8 pairs in total. So do not be surprised if this episode took 2 episodes. Even for its opening alone spend half the episode. The guest stars are asked to show his or her talents. Sunmi is definitely featuring with the famous dance of Ganshina. Well, Jo Seho as always gets tricked by Yoo Jaesuk. Not only that Jo Seho who is paired with Song Jihyo always get scolded and even beaten.

This is one of the episode of Global Race where Jeon Somin and Kwangsoo have to undergo their punishment in Indonesia or precisely in Gunung Kidul Jogjakarta. They have to cross toward the fishing island using a cable car made by the coastal residents of Pantai Timang which is made with Wood and several strings connected to each other. This whole episode features Somin and Kwangsoo. The members have to guess what they are doing and the result of the action. Kwangmin couple’s moments will also make us laughed and melted here.

They had to borrow or ask for many items from their fellow celebrities, from Cha Taehyun, Kim Dong Wook, to Park Bo Gum. This episode is really exciting for me because each member get their airtime almost equally and all of the moments created are super funny.

Continuing the theme of Global Race, this time Running Man visit Japan to get serve the sentence in the Ghost House. Unfortunately, Kwangsoo must serve the punishment by himself. While Somin went through it with Yoo Jae Suk and Ji Suk Jin served his “adventure” with Yang Se Chan. Lots of funny and thrilling scenes we go from this episode like VJ of Ji Sukjin who fled in fear and left his camera behind.

Well, Haha’s special episode is the best among the others. Haha has been known as a hesitant type of personality and wishy-washy with the choices available. In this episode, Haha will always be told to choose between two members who are prepared to undergo a punishment. Like Lee Kwangsoo or Ji Sukjin who will be thrown into the air with a giant ball. Or Kim Jongkook (eating high calories food) and Song Jihyo (touch insects). And the twist was Haha didn’t plan this episode but other members did this as the gift for Haha’s second child which had made Haha want to run away due to the shameful feeling.

Episode 372 can be categorized as to be one episode with the best Twist of 2017 or perhaps one of the best Twist in Running Man history. Early on, the member saw a video of Lee Kwangsoo who was talking with two mysterious people. Kwangsoo is upset about who he has takes to undergo the punishment in Australia. Well, you will be really shocked by what happened at the end. Usually, we’ll see Jeon Somin making a loveline with Kwangsoo or any male single guest but in this episode Jeon Somin create a romantic moment with Kim Jongkook. Like when somin act as a girlfriend of Kim Jongkook.

Last part of Global Race Project last of 2017 where Running Man members are divided into 2 groups. Lee Kwangsoo’s team which consist Jeon Somin, Ji Sukjin and Yoo Jaesuk flew to Australia and Kim Jongkook’s team consist of Haha, Song Jihyo, and Yang Sechan visited New Zealand. This is the second part because it has previously aired in Episode 378. If in the previous episode 378 (Team Australia) is stealing the attention, during this episode Team New Zealand became the star. Obviously, because this team offers cuteness and tension. Where Haha and Sechan had vomited before getting on the swing and the best moments when Song Jihyo and Kim Jongkook take on the Nevis Swing with the upside position.

Running Man’s blockbuster scenes frequently have a lot of rushes, chills and enough twist on the story to keep watchers oblivious until the last minute. This scene; highlighting apparitions from Running University, took the great Running Man blockbuster scene to another level with a sudden wind that left the individuals reeling, as well as the gathering of people. You wouldn’t have any desire to miss this scene, including incredible part science and collaborations, and a splendid storyline that will keep you snared until the finish of the race.

Still a continuation of episode 346, this 347 episode has three teams, namely Osaka team, Taipei team, and Jeju-do team. They have to buy souvenirs in those places. The team that has the heaviest souvenirs will win this mission. The scale of the mission is huge and Jang Do Yeon helps create smooth episode especially during the trip to Jeju-do. Overall this episode is a good one as the new member looks fluid enough to gel with the original member of Running Man.

This episode centers around the Running Man individuals gunning to be the beneficiary to Running Airline’s affluent director. As basic as it is an idea, the scene is made more troublesome by the beneficiaries; feisty and brimming with shocks. This present scene’s quality likewise originates from the last mission, an unofficial ID tearing mission in which the individuals need to battle against each other to be the beneficiary. There’s an immense twist towards the end which you presumably won’t see it coming either.

Special Christmas episode on Running Man, for the most part, have an amazing quality of esteem, however, to keep in accordance with the current year’s Running Man subject of wanders aimlessly, the PD have thought of yet another blockbuster scene including apparitions, vindictive spirits, and people. But Tae Hang-ho (Friends of Kwangsoo) also take much of the airtime while trying the high voice game.

On episode 346, the new member Jeon So-min and Yang Se-chan start joining permanently as a cast member. Here we will be getting stomachache because of their hilarious behavior, especially from the new member! This time there are three teams that compete to win. They must successfully undergo a mission if not, the will be given a horrible penalty. It might not be the funniest, but this episode becomes the turning point of the new era of Running Man. Thus, we see this episode as the fundamental episode of Running Man in 2017.

A/N: So I’ve watched clips of Running Man but never a full episode or anything other than the one Super Junior was in recently so please forgive me if this isn’t entirely accurate. I hope you all enjoy!

The moment their manager walked into the dorm and told them that he was adding an appearance on Running Man to their schedule, Mina’s mind went blanket. Even as the rest of Gugudan celebrated, she just stood there, unsure of how to feel. Her gut told her to celebrate with them, even more so because she would meet her longtime tv crush. But at the same time, her brain panicked, because you, her longtime tv crush, would be right there and it would make failing at any of the games even scarier.

“Mina,” Sejeong said, approaching her with a sly smile on her face. “Guess who we’ll be meeting.” The lilt in her voice snapped Mina out of whatever trance she’d been in and she shot the other girl a look.

“Don’t you dare do anything embarrassing,” Mina said. Sejeong let out a small laugh and grabbed Mina’s hands as the rest of the excited members gathered around.

“What are you talking about, Mina? You’ll be meeting (Y/N) for the first time. No more pining after a pretty tv personality. Isn’t that exciting?” Mina could feel her face heating up, but before she could say anything for herself, Mimi stepped forward, beaming.

“Don’t worry, Mina, we’ve got you.” Nayoung and Hana gave Mina a thumbs up.

“You’ll be dating her in no time,” Nayoung said.

“You’ll at least get her number,” Hyejeong piped up, looking at her unnies in amusement. Sally and Sohee giggled together as Sejeong swung Mina’s hands.

“See?” She said. “We’ll make sure you get with (Y/N) no matter what.” Mina groaned and closed her eyes, already imagining the crazy things the members would get up to. Then, Sejeong let go of her hands to turn to the other girls and she felt Haebin’s hand on her shoulder. When Mina opened her eyes, she was faced with Haebin’s soft smile.

“Don’t mind them, they’re just excited. You know we all care about you and love you.” Mina looked around at the other girls, who were already planning. Then she smiled.

“I know.” Haebin squeezed her shoulder.

“I’ll make sure they don’t do anything too crazy,” she said, giving her a motherly smile and winking. Mina smiled back.

“Thanks, mom.”

“Don’t call me that.”

It was finally time, and Mina had been checking her appearance every few minutes the entire ride over. Finally, Sejeong huffed and reached over to grab her little mirror away from you.

“Mina, you look fine! You’re adorable and sexy, and your appearance isn’t going to change any time soon.” Mina grabbed for it back, but Sejeong lunched forward and handed it to Hana, who quickly shoved it into her own purse. Mina whined and leaned her head against the window.

“I’m just nervous, okay?” Haebin turned around in her seat and reached back to pat Mina’s head.

“Mina, you’ll do fine today. If there was anything wrong with your appearance, we’d tell you, but you look beautiful today. Try to stop worrying and live in the moment, okay?” Mina nodded her head slowly, but she couldn’t stop the butterflies doing backflips in her stomach. When the manager opened the door and told them to get out, she whimpered and closed her eyes, trying to psych herself up.

“You can do this, Mina,” Hana said, smiling widely. The rest of the girls turned to look at her and nodded, and Sejeong took her arm, so with the help of her members, she climbed out of the car, straightened her clothes, and walked towards the building.

The first few minutes went fine. Gugudan was introduced, they did their greeting, and their introductions were only a bit embarrassing. Then, Jihyo asked the dreaded question.

“Who’s your favorite here?” Sejeong got a mischievous look on her face and Mina wished she could turn tail and run.

“Well, one of our members is a big fan of (Y/N).” Internally, Mina cried. Externally, though, she put on a smile and raised her hand as the other girls laughed and gestured at her. Waving shyly, she turned to look at you. You had a shocked look on your face, before a smile broke through.

“Really? I can’t believe a Gugudan member is a fan of me,” you said. Mina laughed, her heart beating quickly as the members of Running Man gathered around you. Kwangsoo laughed loudly as he patted you on the back.

“Our (Y/N) is a big fan of Gugudan too,” he said, grinning, as you blushed and waved your hands, tring to make him not say anything. “I think her favorite is Mina, actually.” The rest of Gugudan erupted, and Mimi leaned forward towards Kwangsoo, eyes wide.

“Really?”

“Really!” Somin cheered and clapped her hands as both groups pushed the two of you together.

“I think we have our first pair,” she said, and everyone cheered in agreement. Mina looked at you, cheeks flushed, and you gave her a small smile, and the butterflies in Mina’s stomach went crazy. There was no way she was going to make it through the day.

Throughout the rest of the day, Mina’s butterflies grew bigger. Even after having to dance with your, hold our hands, and work together with you to win games, she was still nervous. Her members had been rather tame, and so far, there hadn’t been much blatant teasing. But she had this feeling nagging at the back of her head that she wasn’t going to get out of having to admit something embarrassing. So when Jaesuk announced one of the last games, she wasn’t even surprised.

“Now we’ll be playing the Five Second Game!” Jihyo grinned and rolled her shoulders, obviously calm as the master, and Mina shifted nervously in her place. When she stole a glance at you, standing beside her, you were biting your lip, looking just as nervous as her. She was about to put her hand on your shoulder to cheer you up when her name was called.

“Sejeong said her first challenge will be Mina!” Again, she couldn’t be surprised. Sejeong was grinning, and when Mina looked back at the other members, they were wearing the same smile as Sejeong. Hyejeong even winked at her.

“I think my members are up to something,” she joked, squinting at her members in a way that made everyone, even you, laugh. But she wasn’t joking. They were definitely up to something, and her heart moved up into her throat as she sat down in front of Sejeong, expecting the worst.

Surprisingly, Sejeong didn’t move in for the kill right away. Instead, she asked Mina to name three favorite actors, and in turn, Mina asked her to name three books she’d read recently. Her first question must have just been to throw Mina off, though, because as soon as it passed back to her, Sejeong got a gleam in her eyes.

“Name three things you like about (Y/N).” Mina’s face burned, and the room erupted around her, but she was determined not to lose.

“Her smile, her eyes, her laugh.” Kwangsoo squealed and Jihyo clapped, excited. Mina wasn’t brave enough to look back at you, but she knew you could see the blush on her cheeks moving up into her ears.

“Sejeong is good,” she heard Somin say, her voice giddy, and out of the corner of her eye, she could see Nayoung laughing.

Taking a deep breath, she asked Sejeong another question, only for Sejeong to reply with “name three ways you would ask (Y/N) out.”

Whining, she reached over to hit Sejeong on the shoulder. Again, the room was a frenzy of sound, and she knew she looked like a tomato now.

“Mina is out!” She put her hands over her face, embarrassed, as someone grabbed her shoulders and shook her softly. When she peeked out of her fingers, looking over at you, she saw that your face was just as red as yours, and that Jihyo and Somin were teasing you. She could only hope that it was a good sign.

The shoot ended not long after, and Mina was exhausted. Just the ending few minutes had been exhausting, between all the teasing from both her friends and from the Running Man team. She took a sip of her water as one of her stylists touched up her hair and makeup, wondering how long it would be before she could take a well-deserved nap. Her thoughts were interrupted, however, by a voice calling her name softly.

Her stylist backed away and she turned around, only to come face to face with you. She could already feel her face heating up.

“Oh, (Y/N)!” You smiled at her.

“Good job on the shoot today,” you said, and she smiled back.

“You did a good job too.” You bit your lip quickly, eyes flickering from something behind Mina back to her face.

“Um. I was wondering if I could get your number. I’d like to get to know you better.” Mina’s knees almost gave out, but she managed to stay upright.

“Oh, uh, yeah! Of course!” You grinned widely and handed her your phone, and she entered her name and number with shaking fingers.

“I’ll contact you soon,” you said, smiling. “I have to go, but have a good day.” Mina nodded and swallowed, trying to calm her pounding heart.

“You too.”

Later, on the way back to the dorm, Mina’s phone lit up.

Hey Mina, it’s (Y/N). Would you like to get lunch with me some time?

Mina couldn’t help the smile that crossed her features, and she felt so giddy that she could barely hold back a squeal of delight as she replied.

was i disappointed that the 7th anniversary didn’t have anything special? yes, but i really did enjoy this week’s episode. it was fun and entertaining and i loved Tae Hang Ho and Kwang Soo and Somin and Jihyo’s brothers.

there were some Somin x Kwangsoo moments but what i love with this loveline is that it isn’t the main point of their characters. jihyo’s and gary’s main point in the beginning was the monday couple, and that was all they had. that’s why it got boring because all they was the monday couple concept.  

Somin has her moments when she was a sly or a traitor or being silly and Kwangsoo still has own moments. there are some glimpses about their loveline but it’s not their main point and that’s entertaining to me now.

I finally got to watch running man ep 371 AND IT WAS THE BEST GIFT to end my monday blues. I can confirm Haha really likes KwangSomin as a team/unit/duo/pair uh uh uh. Compared to last week this week had a more balanced cast/their vid clip aired. The guess what happen quiz somehow was surprisingly a nice addition imo. 

A RECAP : (from what I remember)

it started with them going to the beach & to the cable car. it was a bumpy journey and somin like in the car (they switched the vehicle mode) she suggested something to look as though they are having fun. HONESTLY she’s an angel such a cutie! I FOUND my first fav scene from that bit.

So they arrived & they did their mission LOL I thought it would be more dramatic but it was a runningman casual unlucky kwangsoo day. The typical humor/joke was in place BUT really Kwangsoo proved to me again (&again) how gentlemanly he is. I remember the days he had helped Jihyo around (putting a towel after a pool game/helping her fix her mic/putting a blanket over her) he had displayed his kindness to Somin. 

Initially I thought they would be awkward. Since Somin was introduced to me (in Running Man) as being his pair since the first time she guested. True to the nature of pair guesting we wont see much of them interacting having to share with the rest of the casts. But I always thought these two would be super awkward and week after week they proved me wrong.

Somin is so So SO comfortable with him (not sure about him but he looks like he’s trying xD) I think Kwangsoo treats her just the same as how he treats Jihyo which is cool. NOW I wanna see them act together!! But they were kind towards another and super supportive will never forget how he kept looking at Somin as she reached the small island. AND their jokes they cracked (referencing other shows) they are really in sync.

NOW I really want Somin to be picked for Australia’s mission lol I cant imagine Kwangsoo with another.

watched E 370! it was what I expected (& more). plenty of giffing moments to do!! did you guys enjoy it??

I should have taken some screencaps when I watched but it was recent so here goes!!

I enjoyed the cast’s commentaries on the trip. AND GOD THE PD IS PURE TORTURE but I guess it does bring RM some views. Honestly they should put a subtitle under the title as Running Man : Where we LOVE to torture them! But nevertheless this week’s episode was the second half (I’d say the start) of Kwangsoo & Somin’s trip for their mission. 

And on the course of their mission they endured mini mission from their luggage being confiscated to their chance of having dinner and more money from the allowance they received from their members also the insane wake up mission at 4AM. It was funny cause really when they were put into a pressure situation the two do well despite their unluckiness (BUT Somin is always lucky when it comes to money!!)

Their mini-mission have given us many chances to see their teamwork (&skinship lol) the editing by the PD was okay nothing too extra (like overboard ship in the past). The two of them brought their charm and really they do have variety qualities. I have read some tweets regarding Somin on how she force herself to be fun but I always thought her extraness was her charm and I do respect other’s opinion but Somin is such a cutie!!

My fav scene was when they were in the elevator and Somin begged for soap & toothpaste and Kwangsoo being Kwangsoo eventually caved in and gave some. ALSO when they were in the car and they played the quizz game I SWEAR I never screamed that loud when they imitated each other. THEY ARE SO IN SYNC. 

Overall it’s an okay episode! I enjoyed the new bits how they make the rest do commentaries (Loads of shippy moments & haha & jaesuk & KJK would throw in how cute they were) I am convinced Haha likes the dynamics of KwangSomin.

I can’t wait for next week for part two (& finger-cross Kwangsoo picks Somin for the Australia too lol)

Hello there!! Thanks for everyone’s support on this blog!! I don’t really ship them romantically (yet hahaha) but I genuinely love the two of them individually and together! (okay maybe I tend to be bias on Somin sometimes xD but I Love Her!). I have been a big fan of Kwangsoo since his debut in variety thru RM (& most of his acting projects) and Somin through her acting (eps in 1% of anything & some of her cameos).

So this is a permanent post to welcome you to ask/request any moment/episode of the two of them or individually. I am running this blog solo so do expect some very slow activities!!
