The Event:
In honor of Kurtbastian Archive's one-year anniversary on June 18th, 2023, we're holding a Prompt Fest! This event will allow people to collaborate to make new Kurtbastian fanworks - prompt-givers can share ideas they'd love to see brought to life, and creators can be inspired by prompts to make something new!
Schedule:
April 17th - April 30th: Prompt submissions
May 7th: Prompts posted
May 7th - June 17th: Creators work on their fanworks to fulfill prompts
June 18th - June 24th: Fanworks are posted!
Guidelines:
There will be no formal sign-up or prompt claiming process - this means that some prompts may be fulfilled by multiple creators, and some prompts may not be filled. We hope this will provide flexibility for our creators and ensure they can work on an idea that inspires them.
When submitting prompts, detail is useful! Instead of just giving a trope or a few words, including a full sentence or two of description can help guide and inspire a creator. This is flexible, though - whether you have a simple or detailed idea that you're really excited about, we want you to include it!
There are no requirements for the fanworks that fulfill the prompts - you can use any format you like, of any length or quantity. Prompters can indicate the type of fanwork they'd prefer, but creators are welcome to use whatever medium they like.
Creators can post their prompt fills at any point during the week of June 18th. If you are working on a longer fanwork, such as a multi-chapter fic, it's fine if it isn't complete by June 24th - we simply ask that you post the first part(s) during the event week!
All Tumblr posts with creations for the prompt fest should be tagged #kurtbastianarchive so they can be reblogged. We will also have a collection on AO3 for any fanfics. This masterpost will be updated with relevant links and information.
Important Links:
See the prompts here!
See the AO3 collection here!
Questions? Ask them here!
We hope many people will be interested in coming together to make this event great - whether you can contribute prompts, make a fanwork, or be an enthusiastic supporter by sharing and celebrating the finished creations!

The Same Coin
Pairing: Kurtbastian
Rating: T
Word count: 2200
Summary: Dalton parties are full of surprises - like Kurt ending up in a confined space for seven minutes with Sebastian Smythe, who he absolutely can't stand.
Notes: Written for the @kurtbastianarchive Kurtbastian Prompt Fest 2023, based on prompt #20 by @backslashdelta!
Kurt hadn’t been to a lot of Dalton parties, but as a school for wealthy boys who idolized an a cappella show choir he knew that it would be full of good music, a lot of alcohol, and unpredictable shenanigans.
Still, when Jeff grabbed him and bodily pulled him down to the den in the basement to join some party game, he wasn’t prepared for what he was about to find. When he saw the “game” involved a dozen or so people gathered around an empty beer bottle on the floor, he wrested himself from Jeff’s grasp.
“I am not playing Spin the Bottle,” he insisted. “I have traumatic memories I am not going to relive.”
“Don’t worry, it’s not Spin the Bottle,” Thad reassured him as Jeff guided him to a spot in the circle. “It’s Seven Minutes in Heaven.”
“That’s worse!” Kurt exclaimed. “I’m not interested, you hormonal gremlins! Aren’t most of you straight, anyway?”
Being a Dalton party, the gender ratio skewed heavily male. Kurt had seen a handful of girls throughout the house, and only two seemed to be participating in this game.
“That’s what makes it interesting!” Nick insisted.
“Come on, Kurt,” Jeff pleaded. “Stay for a few spins and then I’ll duet with you upstairs on any song that you want. You might not even get landed on!”
Kurt glowered, but he did like the sound of a duet. Besides, it was senior year and he didn’t get to see his old Warbler friends very often - no matter how stupid the circumstances, he didn’t want to say no to spending time with them.
”I’ll stay for three spins,” he said finally.
A cheer went up through the room, and Jeff reached for the bottle. “I’ll go first, then.”
The bottle spun erratically and landed on a guy that Kurt vaguely recognized from some classes at Dalton. The players ushered them into the laundry room attached to the basement and shut the door. People took turns listening up against the door, calling out crude suggestions, postulating what might be going on, and continuing to drink from Natty Light cans and Solo cups.
When the pair came back out their clothes were visibly disheveled and Jeff boasted loudly about how he’d rocked the other guy’s world, but it was so over-the-top that Kurt was pretty confident it was all for show.
The next Dalton student in the circle spun, and this time the bottle selected one of the few girls in the room. The crowd gasped and ooh-ed, and Kurt gathered that the petite girl who followed the spinner into the laundry room was someone else’s girlfriend. Those seven minutes were a little more tense, and when they were released they both seemed demure, but that only fueled the raised eyebrows and rumor-full whispers already spreading through the party.
The other girl was about to take her turn when a voice called out, “What’s this, huh?” and Kurt turned to see none other than Sebastian Smythe standing at the foot of the stairs, surveying the room.
“Seven Minutes in Heaven,” Nick called out. “You in, Smythe?”
Sebastian’s mouth curled into a smile that only emphasized his rodent-like features. “You all need to play a cute little game to get a guy to make out with you?” he asked. He stepped forward and leaned into the circle, gripping the bottle with his fingertips. “Fine, I can play, if you’re so desperate.”
He twitched his fingers to set the bottle in motion, glass rattling against the floor until it slowed, slowed, slowed - and came to a stop pointing directly at Kurt.
“You’re fucking kidding me,” Kurt breathed, and looked up to see Sebastian’s head turn in his direction, recognition and then alarm flitting across his features.
“I don’t think -” Sebastian scoffed, but Thad cut him off.
“The bottle has spoken!” he decreed. “Sebastian, Kurt, you’re up.”
“Absolutely not,” Kurt protested, but Jeff was already pulling him up by the elbow.
“You both knew what you were getting into!” Jeff insisted. “That’s the beauty of the game.”
The whole room seemed involved in shepherding them towards the secluded laundry room, chattering in excitement.
“Now this is a new kind of Seven Minutes,” Nick said, “more like a cage fight.”
“Maybe they’ll reconcile their differences,” Thad suggested.
“Maybe they’ll kiss and make up,” Jeff said, and the room burst into laughter and catcalls.
Sebastian stumbled through the doorway, and Kurt was regrettably close behind him. “Or maybe Sebastian will come out with a broken nose,” someone else postulated.
“He’s an athlete in a contact sport,” a voice argued. “I think he could hold his own.”
“Are you kidding me?” Jeff asked. “Kurt is scary when he’s mad. He’s like a fashionable Hulk.”
“Look,” Kurt called out, one final plea. “This really isn’t necessary!”
“I think it’s time for you boys to be mature,” Thad insisted, a sentiment that was entirely at odds with the juvenile situation. “We’ll see you in seven!”
The door shut, leaving Kurt alone in the dark, cramped space with his old nemesis.
Kurt and Sebastian had started off on pretty terrible terms when they met, since Sebastian was flirting with Kurt’s then-boyfriend. Even long after Blaine had assured Kurt he wasn’t interested in Sebastian, Sebastian continued to be stuck-up, selfish, and obnoxious every time Kurt was forced to be in his presence. Even now that Kurt and Blaine were no longer together and Sebastian posed no threat, Kurt thought he was a despicable human being - and he was good at holding grudges anyway.
Kurt leaned back against the shelves behind him and let out a deep sigh. “This is so stupid.”
“Yeah, I’m not a fan of this either,” Sebastian retorted. Kurt’s eyes were just starting to adjust to the dark, so Sebastian appeared as a vague mass.
“Then why’d you spin the goddamn bottle?” Kurt demanded.
“Because it’s a party, dumbass. Everyone is here to get drunk and make poor decisions that’ll make a great story on Monday. I wouldn’t expect you to be familiar with the concept of fun.”
“We have different definitions of fun,” Kurt bit back. “Mine just happens to involve less risk of STIs or liver failure.”
Sebastian laughed, mocking. “Are you not even drinking?”
“No,” Kurt responded. “Unfortunately, I’m experiencing this stone cold sober. I’m driving tonight. But there’s no amount of booze that would make you an attractive romantic prospect.”
“I know a few people who’d disagree,” Sebastian said, leaning forward and lowering his voice. “You should count yourself lucky for this opportunity. Plenty of guys would like to be in your shoes. Metaphorically, as I’m sure your actual shoes are bedazzled.”
Kurt’s nails dug into his palm as he fisted his hands. “I bet you’re not even a good kisser,” he told Sebastian, stepping forward and matching his tone. “You just only hook up with people so drunk that they’d jump anything that moves.”
Sebastian scoffed, and they were close enough now that Kurt could feel the heat from his body. “Oh yeah, and you’re a paragon of sexuality? You exude frigidity so strongly I bet you’re Ken-doll smooth underneath those flamboyant pants.”
Kurt’s frustration overwhelmed him - he was so mad that he was wasting his time arguing instead of enjoying himself with his friends, annoyed that instead of a fun random kiss he was stuck with someone he hated, angry that nothing he said ever seemed to get through to Sebastian.
“Oh yeah?” he demanded, leaning in closer. He was done with fighting. It was time for drastic action. “Try me.”
He closed the scant space between them and kissed Sebastian.
It had been a while since Kurt had kissed anyone - months since the breakup - and he’d never kissed anyone like this. All heat and no tenderness, a crash of lips and teeth and desperation. He was driven by blind instinct, his hands fisting in Sebastian’s shirt, caught between wanting to pull him closer or shove him away.
Sebastian trapped Kurt’s bottom lip between his teeth, and Kurt yanked their bodies flush together. There was something both thrilling and comforting about being so close, unsure if he was the predator or the prey.
Sebastian’s hands found Kurt’s hips and gripped them hard, jolting heat through Kurt’s body. Kurt gasped involuntarily, which might have been embarrassing if Sebastian didn’t respond by pushing him up against the shelves and starting to kiss down his neck. The wooden shelves dug into Kurt’s back and he knocked over some cleaning supplies when his head fell back. Sebastian’s mouth was divine against his skin, teeth scraping over delicate veins and tongue bringing flames of heat in its wake. He slid one hand up to the nape of Sebastian’s neck, grasping at his short strands of hair, nails scratching against his scalp. Sebastian grunted and moved his hand down to grip Kurt’s ass.
It was rough and new and so fucking sexy.
He tugged Sebastian’s head back up by his hair, pressing their lips together again and swallowing Sebastian’s soft whimper. In the small part of Kurt’s mind that wasn’t overwhelmed by lust, he was so mad that Sebastian actually did turn out to be a good kisser. Somehow that just fueled his passion - he pushed harder and kissed dirtier, as if trying to prove that he was better than Sebastian, as if one of them could win this wordless dispute. Sebastian slotted their legs together, so close to giving the friction that Kurt fiercely wanted -
There was a sharp rapping on the door and Thad’s voice called out, “Time’s almost up! Are you both still alive?”
They broke apart and Kurt pushed Sebastian away, feeling his warm breath huff out against his skin before cooler air filled the new space between them. Sebastian leaned back against the dryer, eyes lidded and mouth partially open. He took in a breath, as though he were going to say something -
“Oh, shit,” Jeff’s voice carried from outside. “Did they actually kill each other?”
Kurt heard the doorknob rattle, and had just enough presence of mind to straighten his shirt and wipe the saliva off his mouth before anyone else could see him.
The door opened, a crack of blinding light quickly expanding to fill the room. Sebastian and Kurt were standing as far apart as possible, staring at each other.
“So,” Thad said. “How’d things go?”
“I still hate you,” Kurt spit out as he turned to leave.
“Good,” he heard Sebastian’s signature cocky tone from behind him. “I still hate you too.”
Kurt grabbed Jeff as he emerged into the den. “Come on, you owe me at least two duets after that.”
The party felt crowded and chaotic after the isolation of the laundry room. Kurt pushed past bodies as he headed back upstairs, blinking in the brightness.
Once they reached the living room, Kurt and Jeff monopolized the karaoke machine for numerous songs - but after the initial outcry about cutting in line, the audience enjoyed their performances so much that there were no complaints. Losing himself in the music helped clear Kurt’s head, forcing him to focus on the moment, instead of dwelling on whatever the hell had happened downstairs.
It was a little after 1AM when Kurt said his goodbyes and headed out. He opened the front door to return to his car, and nearly ran into someone standing on the other side. As he regained his balance, he discovered that it was Sebastian he’d almost collided with.
“Careful, Hummel,” Sebastian warned with a lopsided grin. “Or are you hoping for a second round already?”
Kurt rolled his eyes and pushed past him. The door slammed shut, cutting off the noise of the party. All he could hear were the crickets, the distant sound of the highway, and Sebastian’s breathing.
“Don’t you ever tire of being the worst?” Kurt asked. He paused on the porch steps to turn back and look at Sebastian. He wasn’t sure if it was the general havoc of the party or remnants of their secret tryst, but Sebastian’s hair looked disheveled in an appealingly rakish way.
“Nope,” Sebastian replied. “Pissing you off only gives me more energy, actually.”
Kurt crossed his arms. Even this late, the air was warm and sticky outside. It felt like a summer rainstorm was imminent. “You know,” he said, “you might actually be attractive if you weren’t such an ass.”
Sebastian shrugged. He seemed a little unsteady on his feet. “And you might be attractive if you weren’t so damn uptight.” He jutted his chin up, a confident gesture. “But I exceeded your expectations, huh?”
Kurt raised an eyebrow. “Now who’s fishing for a round two?”
“You started it,” Sebastian pointed out.
“You didn’t stop me.”
Sebastian grinned. “Touche.”
Sebastian’s admission of defeat sent a thrill through Kurt that he didn’t particularly want to examine. It was late, and he definitely needed to go home. “I’ll see you around, Sebastian.”
“Yeah,” Sebastian replied with a knowing smile. “I think you will.”
Kurt turned away, walking through the dewy grass to where his car was parked. He desperately wanted to know if Sebastian was still watching him, but he restrained his urge to turn around.
Kurt hadn’t been to a lot of Dalton parties, but he knew one thing about them - they never turned out how he expected.

All's Fair (1/?)
Pairing: Kurtbastian
Rating: T
Summary: Sebastian’s pride is on the line when Hunter bets that he can’t seduce Kurt Hummel - and to sweeten the deal, there’s a monetary wager, too. When Kurt finds out, he suggests subterfuge: he and Sebastian will pretend to date, prove Hunter wrong, and split the winnings. It’s the perfect plan, so long as they don’t mess it up.
Notes: Written as part of the @kurtbastianarchive Kurtbastian Prompt Fest 2023, based on prompt #12 by @aurumjank! Timelines and plotlines from canon have been changed, but that should be made clear through the story itself. I have most of the plot planned out already, so I should be posting updates pretty regularly!
Mild warning for teenage boys being crude in this chapter.
It was the first week back after Spring Break, and the Dalton locker room was boisterous and chaotic as both the lacrosse and water polo teams finished afternoon practice. Despite the cacophony of running showers, slamming locker doors, and raucous conversation, one voice rose above the noise as varsity water polo center Lucas Heathmore regaled everyone in earshot about the X-rated exploits of his weekend at his girlfriend’s parentless house.
Lucas sat on a bench, hair and skin still damp, holding court. Boys cheered, laughed, and offered fist bumps as he said, “We’d been going so hard she could barely get out of bed on Sunday!”
Finally, Sebastian couldn’t take it anymore. He finished pulling on his shirt, ran a hand through his hair, and fixed Lucas with his most condescending smile.
“Heathmore,” he interrupted, loud enough to catch the attention of everyone around them. “If I wanted a play-by-play of the most rote heterosexual exchange of bodily fluids in all of history, I would have picked up a pulpy romance novel at the airport on my way back from Aspen.”
Lucas glared up at him. “Shut up, Smythe. You’re just jealous.”
Some of the half-clothed boys around them oohed in response to the insult, but Sebastian gave a genuine laugh. “I hooked up with three ski instructors at one party on Saturday,” he retorted. “There’s nothing about your life that I envy.”
“Whatever, Smythe,” Lucas said, standing up and slinging his bag over his shoulder. “I’m personally not lining up to get fucked in the ass.”
Sebastian grinned as Lucas retreated from the locker room, accompanied by most of the water polo team. “Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it!” he called out.
The brief verbal spar over, most of the athletes went back to their private conversations, and the locker room emptied out as the boys went their separate ways. There were only a handful of lacrosse players left when another voice addressed Sebastian.
“Your bragging grows tiresome, Smythe.”
Sebastian grit his teeth and turned to see Hunter Clarington leaning against his locker at the end of the row, a towel slung over his shoulders. Ever since Hunter had shown up at the start of the school year, he’d been a constant thorn in Sebastian’s side. He’d joined the Warblers and the lacrosse team, and seemed to have made it his personal mission to jockey for every position of power Sebastian had built up at Dalton. Moreover, his personality was even more obnoxious than the average prep school boy. Who was he calling tiresome?
“It’s the same story every weekend,” Hunter went on, “and I have to say I’m bored with it. So, the desperate young gay men of Western Ohio and a couple of bicurious snow bums are obsessed with you. Or at least, with what you can offer them in a dark corner for twenty minutes.”
Sebastian heard a laugh from one of his teammates, and bristled. “Are you questioning my seduction abilities?”
Hunter shrugged. “I’m saying that you have game in a very particular context. There’s no way you could woo a man who actually had standards.”
Sebastian rolled his eyes. “Careful with that kind of slander, Clarington. If I was interested in romance, I could have it.”
“Oh yeah?” Hunter asked, his smile making it clear that he had Sebastian exactly where he wanted him. “Then prove it. I bet you couldn’t get…Hummel, the new kid. No way would he ever go out with you, let alone hook up with you.”
Sebastian shut his locker. He thought about pointing out that Hunter was also a new kid - Kurt Hummel had transferred to Dalton only a couple months after Hunter had. He had to admit that there was something perennially new-kid-ish about Hummel, though. Even wearing the uniform, he seemed to stick out as someone who didn’t belong. “He has eyes - I’m sure he’d go out with me if I asked.” Sebastian said. “I just have less than zero interest in that.”
Hunter was being annoyingly persistent. “Okay, then ask him out. No, better - get him to go to Spring Gala with you.”
The Spring Gala was Dalton’s version of prom - the social event of the year, and the kind of buttoned-up, faculty-chaperoned party Sebastian absolutely despised.
“And why would I subject myself to that?” Sebastian asked.
Hunter smiled. “To substantiate your bragging rights. And, I don’t know, let’s make this interesting. For…a thousand dollars?” He glanced around at the few lacrosse players that made up their audience. “Does that seem fair, gentlemen?”
Sebastian nearly retorted about not needing the money, but he recognized the bait. This wasn’t about the actual wager - it was about Hunter trying to put him in his place, just like he had been all year. It was a power play, in front of their peers.
Well, Sebastian wasn’t about to take that lying down.
“Fine,” he agreed. “I’m very much looking forward to taking your allowance away.”
Hunter held out his hand, and Sebastian shook it firmly. “Right,” Hunter said easily. “I’ll believe it when I see it.”
.
Kurt was switching out textbooks between classes when Sebastian Smythe appeared at his side, leaning languorously against the neighboring locker.
“Hey there, Kurt,” he said.
Kurt stowed his chemistry binder neatly away. “Sebastian,” he acknowledged. “Can I help you?”
“Sure,” Sebastian said. “You can give me your number, and let me take you out this Saturday.”
Kurt turned to meet Sebastian’s eyes, and found him closer than expected. The guy had no concept of personal space. “Excuse me?”
Sebastian grinned, and Kurt found himself mildly impressed with how nice his teeth were. He had a very close view of them, after all. “You heard me. I’ve been intrigued by you ever since you mysteriously transferred mid-year and started pitching subversive ideas to the Warblers. Let me take you out and find out what makes you tick.” Sebastian winked. “I guarantee you won’t regret it.”
Kurt raised an eyebrow. He’d never been asked out by a boy before, and the simple concept of it did make his heart leap a little. But he had also never exchanged more than a polite word with Sebastian Smythe. He thought Sebastian was cocky and narcissistic, and he was pretty sure Sebastian had hated every one of the so-called subversive changes Kurt had suggested to the Warbler council.
He examined Sebastian’s face, then glanced down the hall, where he could see a group of lacrosse players watching them, and then quickly looking away. Something clicked in his mind.
“This is a prank,” Kurt said matter-of-factly. “Nice try.”
He shut his locker and turned away, heading towards his next class.
“Hey, wait, no -” Sebastian followed him, brushing up against Kurt’s shoulder as he walked alongside him. “This isn’t a prank, Kurt, I’m serious. Come on, don’t leave me hanging.”
“You’re not gonna convince me,” Kurt insisted, refusing to slow down or make eye contact.
“Seriously, I’m not joking, I really -” Sebastian grabbed Kurt’s elbow, and when Kurt jerked away from him they both froze, standing in the middle of the hallway while other students flowed around them.
“Don’t touch me,” Kurt warned, glaring at him.
Sebastian looked at him for a moment, his expression calculating. “Okay, fine,” he relented. He looked around the busy hall. “It’s not a joke, but it is - just let me walk you to class. I’ll explain.”
They held their standoff for another moment. Kurt took a deep breath. “Fine,” he agreed.
When they continued walking, Sebastian spoke in a low voice. He stayed close enough for Kurt to hear, but kept some space between them. “It’s not a prank,” he said. “But it is a bet.”
“Oh my god,” Kurt said. “I think that’s actually more despicable.”
“It’s stupid, but Hunter put me up to it, and I really want to prove him wrong.” They arrived outside Kurt’s English classroom, but Sebastian kept talking when Kurt stilled. “I don’t care about fucking you over,” he said, and then shrugged, “although that might have been kind of fun. I just really don’t want him to hold this over me. He’s going to be a nightmare all year if you don’t go out with me.”
“Is that the upshot of the bet?” Kurt asked. “Just that either one of you gets to be smug?”
“Well,” Sebastian replied, “that and a thousand bucks.”
Kurt nearly dropped the books he was holding. He glanced around at the students that were still passing them. The bell was going to ring soon, but he was suddenly interested in continuing this conversation.
“Come on,” he told Sebastian, walking further down the corridor until he found the student lounge, currently empty. Once they were alone, Kurt turned back to Sebastian. “A thousand dollars?”
Sebastian crossed his arms. “Yeah. That was the bet part of the bet.”
Kurt briefly closed his eyes before speaking. “So you’re telling me that if I agree to go out with you, you’re gonna get paid a thousand dollars?”
“Yeah,” Sebastian said. “Well, actually, if you agree to date me and we go to Spring Gala together.”
Kurt nodded, his mind still spinning. In the span of a few minutes he’d been asked on his first date, found out it was simply part of a cruel wager, and then discovered that there was a ridiculous amount of money on the line. Any derision or hurt he might feel about the situation had been overridden by shock - and then by the spark of an idea that might allow him to make the most of the unenviable position he’d been put in.
He considered the possibilities. Was he really going to do this?
Yes, yes he was.
He straightened his posture and said, “Well, that changes things.”
Sebastian tilted his head, one edge of his lips quirking up. “It does?”
“Yeah,” Kurt confirmed. “Look - a thousand dollars might not be an absurd amount of money to you, or to Hunter, but I want that money. So here’s the deal - I’ll pretend to date you, pretend to fall for you, go as your date to the Spring Gala - if you cut me in on the deal. I get five-hundred.”
Sebastian blinked. “Oh my god, Hummel, I thought you were totally lame, but you’re diabolical.”
The first bell rang through the halls, signaling that they had sixty seconds to get to class on time. “Do we have a deal, or what?” Kurt asked.
Sebastian grinned. “You’re gonna have to talk more nicely to me if people are going to believe you’re in love with me.”
Kurt rolled his eyes. “If we pull this off, I’m putting it on college applications as an acting credit.”
“So we’re on for Saturday night?” Sebastian asked.
Kurt shook his head. “I’m going home this weekend.”
Sebastian scoffed. “Not if it means missing out on a date with me.”
The self-assuredness in Sebastian’s voice was grating, although Kurt knew that if someone he actually liked had really asked him out on a date, he would have stayed at Dalton for the weekend without question. “Let’s just tell people we went on a date,” he suggested. “We don’t actually have to do it.”
“Hunter is going to see through that in a second,” Sebastian argued. “What happened to your commitment? This is method acting, and you have half a grand on the line.”
Kurt scowled, already questioning his decision. “Fine. I’ll leave Saturday morning, we can have a date on Friday, okay? Meet me outside of Geary Hall.”
“It’s a date,” Sebastian said with that self-satisfied smile, and the final bell rang.

Kurtbastian Prompt by @aurumjank
Magic AU, where Sebastian sees Kurt's memories and it helps him understand him more and eventually fall for him. Some ideas (you don't have to use any of them): 1. Soulmate AU, where soulmates see each other memories (after their first meeting, or when the youngest one turns 17-18, or something) 2. Sebastian has superpower that allows him to read minds and see memories. Maybe he can't really control it yet and sees Kurt's thoughts and memories accidentally, or maybe he does it on purpose to find out ND's plans or his weak spots? Maybe Kurt is unaware of this, or maybe he realises that Sebastian doesn't use any of the information against him so he lets him be to see where it'll go. Maybe Kurt doesn't know about superpowers at all, or maybe he does and maybe he even has some of his own (like being able to shapeshift, heal, or feeling emotions instead of reading minds). 3. One night, while sleeping, Sebastian finds himself in a long corridor full of doors. He walks through one of them and sees someone's childhood memory. He does it again and again with some other doors and realises that those are Kurt's memories. He appears in the same corridor every night and continues to watch the memories (he's trying to find Kurt's weak spots and something to embarrass him, or he's trying to find more recent memories to learn more about ND and how to beat them, or he's just curious).

Kurtbastian Prompt by @thnxforknowingme
AU where Kurt and Sebastian have their existing antagonistic relationship IRL - show choir competitors who constantly insult one another - but Kurt makes an anonymous friend online who he's growing increasingly close to. Of course, that online friend is Sebastian - but neither of them realize at first. It would be really fun if one of them figures out the other's identity first and has a crisis over it while the other is blissfully ignorant.

Kurtbastian Prompt by @backslashdelta
The Hunger Games AU: Sebastian is one of the careers, and Kurt is a tribute from a further out district. Bonus points if at some point Sebastian ends up feeling conflicted because he is in a position to kill Kurt but he doesn't want to. A tragic ending is okay but not necessary.

Time travel AU: Future!Kurtbastian appear in season 3 and meet their younger selves. It could be anytime: before they actually met, during/after Scandals, Michael Jackson week (during the "Bad" battle and Sebastian stops himself from throwing slushie? before/during/after "Black or White"?), etc.

Kurtbastian Prompt by @aurumjank
Amnesia/Memory loss AU: Married!Kurtbastian (maybe even with kids?). Sebastian lost his memory because of the accident and the last thing he remembers is somewhere in Seasons 3-5 (from his first meeting with Kurt to the Klaine engagement)

Kurtbastian Prompt by @aurumjank
Canon Divergence before S3: during the summer (while Blaine is performing in amusement park) Kurt and Brittana sing in Scandals (I don't know if it's legal in reality, but this is fiction so yes, it is). When Kurt and Blaine meet with Sebastian there, the trio have a performance. Klaine break up (Blaine didn't know about Kurt's job - because he wasn't listening when Kurt tried to tell him about it - so he gets mad, or "the parking lot" scene happens and Kurt breaks up with him, or something else), Kurtbastian is an endgame (they can go from Barely Enemies to Lovers or from Barely Enemies to Friends to Lovers or from Barely Enemies to Friends to Friends with Benefits to Lovers or from Barely Enemies to Friends with Benefits to Lovers - whatever you prefer). *** I came up with this idea while listening to Ke$ha's "Take it off". The picture I had in mind: girls start singing by themselves. The drag queens get some random guys - including Kurt - on the stage to take off their shirts and pose; during the bridge all of the girls are surrounding Kurt and by the end of it they tear off his clothes and he ends up in a costume that matches Brittana's attires. They finish the song as a trio. I would love to see what others will come up with and what songs they will use :D

Kurtbastian Prompt by @aurumjank
Kurt is a babysitter for Sebastian's little sister.
I'd love to see everything that comes from this, but if you want to know the particular idea that was haunting me for a long time now, then text me: https://www.tumblr.com/aurumjank :)
