Otherwise, he will be at a disadvantage and it will be difficult for him to turn the situation around.” [RB]

Hole puncher // A two-hole puncher, used to assemble any data he’s written on sheets of paper
Digital camera // Used to record the forms of the other members and matches
Stopwatch and measuring tape
Binoculars // A very expensive pair of high-magnification binoculars

[TRIVIA]
The Prince of Tennis 10.5 Fanbook | Publication Date: 11/02/2001
He is the tallest of all the Seigaku members
He supposedly gained his tall stature from drinking a lot of milk. He enjoys milk and drinks it often, and will try out different types everyday as well as compare and research them
Prior to Ryoma joining the team, he was Seigaku’s third best player
Konomi made his glasses obscure his eyes to give readers the impression that they aren’t able to tell what he’s thinking
Konomi had written him to be temporarily dropped as a regular in order to highlight Ryoma’s entry into the team
His favorite foods are unknown but are guessed to be spaghetti soup by Kikumaru and durian by Momoshiro. He states he has neither likes nor dislikes, but does like spaghetti soup. Momoshiro had guessed durian due to his spiky hair
He has been playing tennis since elementary school and enjoys it since he views it as a battle of wits
He had a smaller stature when he was younger
He states that he does not make his Inui Juice to torment his teammates and his intention is to improve their nutrition with it
His personality is described as someone who relies a little too much on data, but everyone else around them relies on it as well
Konomi describes him as “not just a data man,” he may have lost to Ryoma, but he is still skilled
The Prince of Tennis 20.5 Fanbook | Publication Date: 12/04/2003
He tends to speak his mind without hesitation, but means no offense by it
He is described to be suited for professions such as a lawyer, accountant or stockbroker
He is steady and cautious, but can be bold and intrepid as well
He is deeply into physics since the knowledge is useful for tennis
He will also utilize his data to improve himself and has an aggressive side while playing tennis due to it
He is the hardest working member of the team
He is top of his class in science and math
His secondary sport would be baseball
The Prince of Tennis 40.5 Fanbook | Publication Date: 12/04/2007
He is surprisingly(?) interested in romance since love cannot be measured, which is also why he likes Korean dramas
His overly calculating and cautious personality often manifests as a deterrent towards others, but he will show a side completely contrary to his usual self
He began writing in his “Inui Notebooks” once he started playing tennis. He has approximately 218 currently in his possession, but has countless “other notebooks” such as “Exclusive Notes on Yanagi”
He hums from time to time, but is extremely tone-deaf. He is able to read sheet music but is unable to produce the right sounds
He has a total of 121 pairs of the glasses he wears
The Prince of Tennis II Official Character Guide: PairPuri Vol. 2 | Publication Date: 12/04/2009
He plays shoji with Yanagi and Chitose at the training camp
The Prince of Tennis II Official Character Guide: PairPuri Vol. 9 | Publication Date: 09/02/2011
He has no desire to give out any Inui Juice recipes since he states there’s no backup for them
He is not particular over any food, as long as it provides the necessary nutrition
He has went to a kitchenware store the other day to purchase a new mixer
He is a fan of the Kyoichiro Kaga series and finds the protagonist’s methodology of observing people fascinating
If he were not playing tennis, he would be a baseball coach
When asked what he thinks of his teammates, he commends their growth over the past few months
He is named after Sadaharu Oh, a famous baseball player. Konomi does not recall how he came up with his surname, however
Konomi made him to be a data collector because of his glasses and thought he should be studious. Since he was one of Ryoma’s first matches, he wanted his play style to be completely different from Kaidoh’s
His mouth is usually half-open when Konomi draws him
Konomi describes him as a character that does not get discouraged and that he has a strong presence even when he isn’t playing tennis

"I try to create something from nothing. I try to capture negative to represent positive. I try to express the present with history, and east and west. It is when objects exist that nothingness can be recognized for the first time. Thats why wind attracts me. And Tokuyama village in Gifu prefecture, Lao-Tse, and Enku greatly influence my thought processes." -Takahiko Hayashi

TOKYO ... & MORE!
HIS Travel’s newly launched & TOKYO series allows you to explore Tokyo and another city of your choice
If you’re thinking of travelling to Japan, it is almost impossible to leave Tokyo out of your plans. The capital of Japan is a brilliant and bustling mess of sights and sounds. Home to approximately 13 million people, the crowded streets and sleek skyscrapers are a familiar sight even to those who have yet to set foot onto Japanese soil (thanks to the numerous directors who have used cosmopolitan Tokyo’s backdrop in various blockbuster movies). Tokyo has more than just steel buildings and futuristic bullet trains to offer. Enjoy a flavourful bowl of ramen on the streets or splurge on an extravagant meal at one of the many Michelin-starred restaurants. Stroll through the impeccably manicured parks of the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in spring. Visit the historic and austere Meiji Shrine. Explore the quaint neighbourhood of Jinbocho Book Town for a quiet afternoon away from the bustle - perusing second hand books, Japanese art, and cafes.
Couple your visit to the wonderful city of Tokyo with one of the many ‘&Tokyo’ offerings by H.I.S. Travel. The best part about travelling with H.I.S. is that you have the flexibility and freedom to add extra destinations or take a different route altogether! We’ve picked a few to get you started dreaming about your Japan getaway. Mt Fuji & Tokyo Stay at Tokyo and add on a day tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone - an idyllic mountainous hot spring (or onsen) resort town best known for its views of the majestic Mt. Fuji. The guided tour comes with an English-speaking guide and you’ll be able to learn more about Japan and its prized possession. No visit to Japan is complete without an experience of either the magnificence of Mt. Fuji or the chaos of Tokyo – so we highly recommend this combination to all first timers thinking of heading to the land of the rising sun. If you’re an independent traveller, H.I.S. also has packages that are ideal for those who wish to explore the region at their own pace. Stay for a night at an onsen ryokan or hot spring inn in Hakone for a truly authentic (and absolutely zen) Japanese experience. Included in the package is a two-day Hakone Free Pass - a discounted travel pass that allows you to easily travel around on buses, trains, boats, cable cars and ropeways in theHakonearea; you will also get to enjoy discounted admission to selected tourist attractions! For a closer view of Mt. Fuji, indulge your senses for a night at an onsen ryokan at Lake Kawaguchi. Here, ethereal, picture perfect views of the mountain and the lake await.
Snow Wall & Tokyo Step out of the city for a day to spend the night at a walled-off winter wonderland. When you book with H.I.S. Travel, your package comes with a two-day tour package to explore the magical Snow Walls on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route - one of the most spectacular and surreal scenic mountain routes in Japan. The tour provides you with the ease and convenience of travelling to and from the alpine route, which can be quite an ordeal with the need to take multiple modes of transportation!Walking through the icy white walls will make you feel as if you had just stepped into another dimension; and a stroll through Takayama Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) – one of the sites along the Tateyama Route – will take you back in time to the Edo period.
Sand Castles & Tokyo Not many know of the sand dunes in the Japanese city of Tottori. Named after the city, the golden hues of the sandy Tottori landscape will truly be an unexpected, breath-taking and exciting addition to your adventure in Tokyo. Located along the coast of the Sea of Japan, this natural phenomenon was crafted by the sand and winds over the course of a hundred thousand years. Here, you can sand board, ride on the back of a camel, or visit the sand museum which play host to impressive sand sculptures! http://his.com.sg/
