It seems that Shimomura's IBM's name is Kuro-Chan uwu

Sato's would probably be Sam, considering his name is Samuel

Tanaka's, I call it Taka or Toji uwu, kinda like his name

Nakano, I would call his Kano, sadly I dont recall I ever seen his IBM, maybe I'm just blind

Nagai's IBM, I call it Ghost. In the Anime he is always like "Ghost, come out!" So I took the opportunity to call it ghost uwu, I'll update this little list soon considering their are more Ajins uwu

Day 3: Bargaining  | Favourite Relationship  | Freedom

Out of everyone, Izumi seems the most comfortable with her IBM and doesn’t seem to struggle with it like the others do. Kuro-chan is not only a weapon but a facet of herself. In addition, she seems to place a good deal of trust in herself, probably because she seemed to depend on herself a lot late in her previous life.

For many of the characters, finding out they're ajin marked the beginning of an arduous life but for Izumi, it seems more like a new start to life.

IBM Week hasn’t started yet, but I thought it’d be helpful to get some reference sheets out ahead of time. Over the next nine days, I’ll be putting out some reference sheets (lovingly handcrafted by @pleaseshutupaboutsatou) with some bonus details! Hopefully these should help people who need more references in the lead up to IBMweek!

Now we’re getting into the main ajin who we see fighting a lot. Fighting is great because it means lots of references! Again, this is a bit long so I’ll be sticking it under the cut.

Izumi’s IBM is the only IBM in the series that gets it’s own name. Izumi calls it ‘Kuro-chan’.

Kuro-chan has claws on their feet, but they don’t have claws on their hands. Their head is vaguely triangular shaped, but otherwise they don’t have much in the way of distinct features, following the usual IBM template.

One of the most unique traits about Kuro-chan isn’t what they look like, it’s about what they did look like.

You could be forgiven at first glance for thinking this is Kei’s IBM hugging Izumi. This is actually Kuro-chan, pre-series! It’s not clear if Kuro-chan’s head slowly transitioned to their current form, or if it was an abrupt change. Considering the large level of detail, this was likely an intentional choice, and one that lines up with the appearances of Shinya and Yusuke’s IBMs -- a blank default that slowly adjusts over time. Not all IBMs are like this, but it does seem to be the prevailing pattern.
